HoM: Order 66 PART II
Warnings: leaving a lot of the warnings the same as it all entails- angst in the beginning, middle, oh and a lot a the end. Angst with Padme, mentions of pregnancy. Did i mention angst? I did? Well there’s more. Death, mentions of blood, violence, friends turning on friends. Anakin is a warning, literally, angst, Mentions of sickness and again, death. Oh yeah and angst.
Summary: After the death of your friend, you must find a place of safety for yourself, but upon learning someone else you care about is trapped in the crossfire, you venture into the Jedi temple in order to try and rescue them.
A/n: It is 2:27 in the morning, I cannot be stopped

The security team was more hesitant to let you pass by today, checking you for credentials and making sure you were indeed the Senator’s dear friend. You were unsure of why it would be any different. You’d been here only yesterday. Of course, you couldn’t say you blamed them. Clones all over the city were going rogue, and there was no telling you was safe and who wasn’t.
You stepped into the elevator, finally feeling a semblance of peace in this time, however little.
When the doors opened on the floor of her apartment, you wasted no time in passing by the guard that was stationed there while Anakin was away. He tried to stop you, to make sure you were allowed to be here. It was only protocol, but you were far passed any of that right now. Your friend had just been murdered in cold blood for no purpose other than being in the wrong place at the wrong time, and you needed answers. You waved a hand back, keeping the guard still until you were out of the room. It made you seem far more suspicious than before, but you weren’t here to play games.
“Padme?” You called out into the several rooms, stopping in your tracks when she came out to meet you. She was dressed in a lovely silk nightgown, presumably about to go to bed, but clearly she was struggling to, since she had tears streaming down her face. She came rushing towards you and held in in an embrace, crying onto your shoulder and thanking whatever force that you were alive and okay.
“There’s been an attack on the Jedi at the temple, watchers say that the clones have turned on them and won’t stop until they have all been killed,” her explanation gave you more insight as to what was going on, but it still didn’t give you the information as to why. Why were the clones doing this? What was their reasoning, and why did it happen all at once. This wasn’t a rebellion, it was an ordered massacre.
“Where’s Anakin? I thought he was coming back her to see you after meeting with the chancellor.”
She started sobbing uncontrollably now, and you were certain you’d said something wrong.
“He never came back, he went to the temple,” she couldn’t even talk at this point, her lips trembled in sadness and fear of what may have happened to him. You tried to calm her down, hoping you could come up with a plan to keep her at ease. There wasn’t anything too be settled about this, it was purely chaos, and was diminishing any hope for survival of the Jedi. The ranks they had built, from the ground up, hundreds upon hundreds of thousands of units, all now focused to kill those they fought alongside.
“I’ll go find him,” you said quietly, figuring it out in your head as you went, but not fully sure how you’ll be able to make it happen. You would do it, no matter the cost, because Anakin was your brother, and if anything happened to him, you’d never forgive yourself for not trying. You’d already lost someone today, and given that the assault was on the temple, you knew there were probably more. You knew Obi-Wan was still alive, because if he wasn’t you’d probably be writhing on the ground somewhere from the pain you normally shared with him. Whenever he was hurt, you felt it. If he’d been dead, you would be too, even if it was just in a metaphorical sense.
“No, it’s too dangerous, they could kill you.”
“I can’t stay here. My presence in this building puts you at risk. If I can find Anakin and help him escape, you both can leave Coruscant and be safe.”
She didn’t like this argument, because either way she could lose someone, but as much as it pained her to even think about it, she did not want to let her child grow up without their father, knowing that something could have been done to prevent it. She was still crying, and shook her head, unsure of how to decide. Anakin could already be dead, and you’d be putting yourself at risk for nothing, but something inside of her, deep within her newfound energy told her that he was alive, and wanted more than anything to return to her.
“I’m not asking your permission, Padme,” you recognized the look on her face, the one when she was about to decide a course of action. You would not need it from her, though, as your mind was made up.
“Please be careful,” she said in a firm tone, though her tears effected the solidness of her voice. You knew this wasn’t a suggestion, it was a demand. You were not often reckless, but in order to obtain Anakin, you may have to take a page from his playbook.
You pulled away from her, looking out the window to see the smoke and fire emitting from the temple. It was going to be hell getting in there, but you’d figure it out once you got there. You were good at spontaneous planning, and most often you thrived under pressure. Just like Obi-Wan did.
“I’ll be back, and I’m going to bring him with me.”
-
All the entrances were guarded, no one went in, no one went out. The bodies of dead Jedi lay on the steps of the temple, and leading inside of it. You were nauseous at the sight of it, but persevered to a tunnel that no clones could no about. It was the one that lead to the underground system. Most Jedi never even knew of it’s existence, but they would now, as it seemed to be the only viable option of escape. The problem was, the tunnels were covertly designed to be small and compact to keep their location a secret, so there probably weren’t too many people able to make it through at a time.
You snuck around the side of the temple platform, far away from any of the clones in sight, and found that the bricks had already been pulled out of place. Someone used it already, but it looked abandoned since then.
You climbed into the crawlspace, remembering how much you hated tight areas, but shoved the thought aside in order to push through. You felt Anakin’s presence, and new that he was near. When you crawled a good fifty yards or so, you met the end of the tunnel. Above you was a grate, that was specifically made to blend in with the ventilation systems on either side. It was clever, and you remembered the first time you stumbled upon it as a child, noticing the way the other two sprouted cold air, but this one never seemed to work. You’d asked Master Qui Gon about it, actually, because he was the only one around at the time. It was one of the few fond memories you had with him, and it wasn’t long after that he was killed. You hoped you could prevent the one he sought after from the same fate. Anakin was the chosen one, and he would bring the force back into balance.
You raised the grate when the hall above you went silent, pulling yourself out and watching for clones that may be patrolling. You stood up and went to round a corner, immediately crashing into the chest of someone. You got scared, and ignited your lightsaber upon instinct, but when your vision cleared there he stood before you, the one you’d been looking for. Anakin Skywalker. He looked angry, and miserable, and you figured he must have seen what all has happened inside the temple. He looked shocked to see you, and very eerie. Almost as if he was upset you were here.
“Anakin,” you were relived, for there hadn’t been a scratch on him. You pulling him into a hug, but he was stiff and would not reciprocate your actions. You knew he had probably seen many horrors today. He held his lightsaber in his hand, and you figured he had defended himself to get to this point. “We have to go, Padme is worried sick for you.”
Again he was stiff, unmoving as you tried to pull him towards the tunnels. You weren’t sure if he even knew about them. You’d never told him before.
“What are you doing? If we stay any longer the clones will kill us,” you explained to him, begging him with all the sanity you had left that he might comply with you, and take your outstretched hand. Did he have some kind of death wish? Why did he stand here like nothing was wrong, why was he so still?
“I can’t leave,” he said, dropping his head to face the ground. You were losing your mind right now, as you heard clone footsteps rapidly approaching from another area. You told Padme you were going to bring him, and you planned on upholding your word. He needed to get his act together and come with you. “I have a duty to uphold.”
“Anakin, now is not the time to be a hero, you’re wife is waiting for you.”
He looked back to your eyes, and when you met his, they were not the pretty blue ones you used to know. They were golden in color, and had a redd tint in the middle. You’d only ever seen eyes like that once in your life, and it was when you looked in the mirror the day after Obi-Wan faked his death. It was a sign of darkness taking over. you gasped at the sight, and began backing away, before you turned into a full on sprint towards another room. He was a faster runner, and caught you with ease, pinning you against the wall and holding you still, though you began thrashing in his grip.
“You don’t need to be afraid of me, I won’t hurt you,” he tried to calm you down, to ensure you tat you were safe by is hand, but you couldn’t seem to relax knowing he’d been responsible for some of this. He didn’t even need to tell you, you could feel it, as soon as you saw his eyes you knew the extent of his darkness. You never realized he harbored it in himself, as you did.
“What have you done?” You were shaking, you didn’t know what else to do, as you were trapped, and didn’t believe there was any way out, not alive, at least.
“You don’t understand, but I can make you,” he said confidently, releasing you from the pillar he held you against and let you roam around. He was dark, from head to toe, it radiated off him like spice from a freight carrier, looming in the air. “I have become more powerful than any Jedi could possibly imagine, and once I’ve completed my mission, I will even be able to save the people I love.”
“At what cost? Anakin, this darkness, it’s not who you are, all this bloodshed on your hands should never have been spilt,” you knew it was too late for him, you sensed it. He was always set in his new ways, and didn’t care what the price was, he was prepared to pay it, all of it. Your heart broke to see how far he had strayed from the teachings he’d been given, same as you. It was something of a disaster, the scene of him walking in front of you, not a care in the world as to what he had done.
“The darkness has always been there, and it was waiting to help me become one with the force in all the ways the Jedi would never allow. You more than anyone should know how that feels.”
He was right, you did know how that felt. In your case, though, you had nothing left to lose. You’d lost the love of your life, or at least you thought you did, along with your mentor and closest person in your life. They were one and the same, and you didn’t know if you’d ever recover, but then you found out he was alive, and you felt shame for ever turning to a force that was darker than anything you’d ever used before. It felt wrong, and dirty. It felt like you were covered in mud and needed a shower to rid yourself of all the horrible stains that had become embedded into your skin. The darkness may have been inside you, but it never belonged there. You were worried that once Anakin had come to realize this himself, it would be too late to reverse it.
“It’s not what it’s made out to be. It makes you full of regret, and leaves you with a scar that never heals,” you had tears in your eyes for what had to be the tenth time today. You couldn’t seem to avoid it, and were constantly standing in tragic situations that invoked awful emotion.
“You were never trained to harness it. If you join me now, you will receive this same power, and I can teach you how to use it,” he was smiling like a mad man, and you were more afraid of him now than you had ever been. This wasn’t even him, anymore. This was a monster in the body of Anakin Skywalker. This was not the boy you had grown up beside and loved since you met him in this very room all those years ago.
“I won’t join you, Anakin. Can’t you see that what you’ve done is terrible?” You wanted to get through to him, if only enough for him to let you go, but you were beginning to think that he was so undone at this point, he may even kill you to prevent you leaving this room.
“From my point of view, I’ve made peace, and disposed of a corrupt order before they could destroy the galaxy. If you could only see things my way,-“
“Enough! Anakin, this is madness. I will never join you, because it goes against everything we ever learned, everything Obi-Wan ever taught us. I can’t believe you would follow such a dark path,” you cried, the tears rolling down your cheeks and onto your robes, which were stained with Mak Lotor’s dried blood, already.
He was angry, not with you specifically, but with the fact that he knew you wouldn’t turn, not while Obi-Wan was still alive. He knew that had the man been dead, you may have switched sides without hesitation.
“If you’re not willing to conform to the new laws of the chancellor, then you have committed treason, and I have no choice but to kill you,” his eyes turned gold again, and he ignited his lightsaber. He was the only one who could ever beat you, and when fighting him, you lost every time. You had no cards left to play, and you weren’t in the shape to fight anyone else. You were drained, physically and emotionally, and if you had to raise your saber one more time, you would surely die. You knew it was coming, the sting of his fiery blade was inevitable, but when he raised it into the air, you spouted the last words you could possibly muster that might stay his blade.
“I’m sorry, Anakin.”
You weren’t just using it as a ploy to get away, you really meant it. He had been dealing with terrible troubles lately, and you never noticed. You weren’t there to help him with the nightmares, or talk him through an episod of heat and anger. You weren’t there to stop him from going back for the chancellor, or to keep him from pledging his allegiance to the corrupt politician and Sith lord. You weren’t there, and you should have been.
He was about to bring down his arm, which would split you in two halves, but stopped before the saber could even burn a hair on the top of your head. He looked down at you, and he saw the little girl he met when he was only nine. You were seven at the time, bright and optimistic, though you’d been bullied for years. He saw the girl who at only twelve years of age started having horrific nightmares because she helped him with his own, carrying them for him as if it were a simple task. He saw the girl who always wanted to help him, even when it went against the Jedi code, because it made him happy. He saw the girl who stood by as the only witness when he married the love of his life. He saw the girl who never abandoned him, or gave him up like all others did. He saw someone that he couldn’t harm even if he tried to. You were his sister, and if he killed you, now, he would regret it for the rest of his life.
He dropped his weapon, and heaved heavy breaths as he furrowed his brows. He was disobeying direct orders from the chancellor by letting you go, but he couldn’t let you get hurt.
“Run,” he said under his breath, catching your eye line again, his eyes returned to that lovely shade of blue, though there was still darkness looming within them. “Keep running, and never turn back.”
You didn’t waste another moment before bolting away from him. You knew that while he gave you a chance, you needed to take it, because there wouldn’t be another one. He was consumed, now. No doubt about it.
You made sure the coast was clear before trying to make it back to the floor grate. You ran back to it, but then you heard a cry for help. Not a physical cry, but one that could be heard and felt through the force. It was coming from the archives.
You could have kept going, saved yourself and the life of your unborn offspring, but you wouldn’t be a Jedi if you hadn’t thought about others above yourself. The Jedi were selfless, offering themselves as a sacrifice to protect the lives of those who couldn’t protect themselves.
“I must be out of my mind,” you murmured to yourself, running to the archives and avoiding clones at any cost.
-
It started with one, Madame Jocosta, who had gotten trapped under some collapsed archive shelves. Once she was on her feet, you realized there was another. A child who was hiding for their life under a desk, and had gotten passed by the small clone squadrons who were patrolling every area.
It started with one, but now it was seven. Seven lives that you’d manage to save by sneaking them out through the tunnels. Madame Jocosta had stayed behind with you to help, remaining by the grate to help the younglings escape. Once they were outside, it depended on them to find shelter, but you figured they were better off out there than they were in here.
You’d killed twelve clones. Twelve members of the 501st in which you’d fought with. Twelve clones that you spent time with and laughed with, telling jokes and playing card games. You killed them and you had no other choice but to do so, lest they shoot holes through your body and you be rendered useless…. and dead.
After the first child had been rescued, you wrapped a blindfold around your eyes, letting your senses become more in tune with the force. You were seen as crazy for using this method, which had long been forgotten by most masters when teaching their younglings and Padawans over the years. Everyone said you were just showing off, and that there was no way this could possibly help you in battle, but it did. You were able to feel your surroundings more than you could ever see them. You could sense everything everywhere all at once, and it was helpful to keep you focussed, rather than worry about what your eyes were seeing.
You were following the call through the force of the eighth child as it were, doing your best to find where they hid. You stopped when you sensed the bodies that lay on the ground around you. They were all dead, all but one, who had pulled the others over top of her to avoid being seen. The poor child was traumatized, and would never forget this day, but neither would anyone who survived.
“Are you here to save me?” You heard a small whisper, and you nodded, reaching out your hand. She sounded to be a little girl, probably ten or eleven at most. You raised the blindfold to your forehead, looking her in the eye to make sure she felt safe to come with you. The rest of her friends were killed by a lightsaber, by Anakin, so she was probably unsure of who to trust.
“I am, but I need you to stay quiet and do as I say, do you understand?” She nodded her head up and down, rapidly, standing to her feet and trying to continue, but you saw she was injured. There were burn marks on her robes, and she was hunched over. You scooped her up in your arms, lowering the blindfold, and beginning the long trek to the other side of the temple, where the grate to escape was. You wondered if she would need help getting through the tunnels, but that wasn’t the focus right now. “What’s your name?”
She shook slightly while gripping tightly her arms around your neck. Her answer was hesitant, but loud enough for you to hear.
“Reva.”
You huffed out, making sure she was securely holding onto you before you began to move.
“Alright, Reva… Hold on tight, and if I tell you to run, go to the east wing near the archives. Someone will be there to help you,” you held your saber in hand, unignited for the sake of secrecy, as the light and sound would both give you away to anyone who was watching from further away.
“Okay,” she understood well enough, and you were off a second later.
It was a miracle no one had spotted you, as you were out completely in the open this time, the urgency to get her out was more important. You made it to the east wing with only one complication, and you removed your blindfold to ensure that she made it into the tunnel. She assured you both that she could get through on her own, and you let her, knowing there might be others who would need your help.
“We can’t do this forever,” madame Jocosta was tired of this horrible waiting game, each time hoping that you hadn’t dropped dead while trying to save a child, and she knew that at some point you both would have to leave, to go help others in places that were not so dangerous.
“I just wanna get one more.”
“That’s what you said last time,” she was concerned for you, and was wondering if there was somehow a meaning behind all of this. The Jedi order was completely destroyed, gone forever, along with most of its ideals, but still, here you were, upholding the code and putting others before yourself until it got you killed.
“I mean it. One more, then it’s time to go.”
You were looking for another child, but could not hear any more calls in the force to where they might be hiding. You couldn’t hear any little voices echoing through your head, though you beckoned them to you. Had you gotten them all out? Had the others been killed before you could get to them? You would consider yourself a failure if that was the case. If you were not strong enough to save those children, then what made you think you could protect one of your own? You were not a mother, and probably never would be one in a true sense. You may have a child, but you couldn’t be a mother.
You were about to turn back, to give up and realize that this was it, this was the end of your endeavor, but then you sensed a life form, and a young one at that. It’s innocence drew you in to the room you felt it resided in, but you couldn’t tell if you were near it or not. You hadn’t ut your blindfold back on, but you still couldn’t see anyone here. You stepped forward until you accidentally kicked something. It looked like a mechanical egg of some sort. You were suddenly pulled to it, the energy you sensed was coming from the pod that lay in the middle of the walkway. You hadn’t remembered it being here the first time you came in, but now it was there, and you couldn’t stop looking at it. You knelt down and pushed the button on the font, opening the sides to reveal… a tiny yoda? It looked just like him, with his long ears and little nose. The little wispy hairs upon his head among his light green complexion. His eyes were so big, wide with so many emotions, and you knew that he was going to be the last one you took. You were going to bring him with you, whatever he was. He was just a baby, and needed help in this tumultuous time.
His little arms reached up to you, begging to be taken, and your heart broke, knowing he was probably left by someone who knew they couldn’t escape with the extra weight on their shoulders.
“Don’t worry, it’s going to be okay,” you told him, pulling him from the pod and against your chest, letting him rest his tiny head there. You suddenly felt a very maternal instinct wash over you, and you felt determined to make sure he was taken care of. He was so small, so helpless, just a baby.
You weren’t too far from the archives this time, as you hadn’t journeyed far to find him. Once you were back at the grate, Madame Jocosta beamed with joy.
“The last one,” she looked to you for confirmation and you nodded.
“The last one.”
She lifted the grate, preparing to let you in first, but then a blaster shot went right past you head, scorching the wall in front of your face. You looked behind you, seeing that a single clone was standing at the end of the hall, calling for backup.
“Take him, I’ll be right behind you,” you handed him over, and she didn’t argue, holding the small green being close to her as she began the long crawl to freedom. You ignited your saber again, deflecting the shots that came, and readied yourself to fight when the other clones arrived. These were your friends, the people you shared tables with in the morning for breakfast, and now they were trying to off you at any chance they got.
You needed to stay in this corner, though it would put your ability to fight at risk, it was necessary to make sure no one else got through that tunnel until Madame Jocosta and the youngling had time to escape. You were feeling weaker than you normally did, as the long and horrendous day had taken the energy out of you.
The backup the clone ordered had finally arrived, and you did your best to keep them at bay, but as they came closer, you knew you couldn’t hold on. This wasn’t how it was supposed to end, but you had a feeling come over you that your time had come. As you struggled to deflect the shots, the first one had entered your body, right below your ribs. You dropped your lightsaber, a single tear running down your face. Another shot hit you on the side of your stomach. You stretched out through the force, trying to reach Obi-Wan to give him your last thoughts, but then the final shot entered you, directly into your abdomen, and you blacked out, unable to coherently think as everything turned black.
You were unconscious, but not dead, though you soon would be. you could feel yourself in a dream like state, except it was all still dark around you, and the things you sensed were only feelings floating around in your head.
You were unsure of what to do with these feelings, as they did not help you whatsoever In fact, they made your situation worse. They were only reminders, of what you’d failed to do, whom you’d failed to protect, and every bad decision you made that lead up to this point. you weren’t in a clear state of mind, obviously, but you didn’t understand why these things were being blamed on you, or rather why you were blaming yourself. It wasn’t your fault that any of this happened, or that there was likely a new war starting, but your subconscious was blaming you for it all. You were a mess of feelings, and hoped they would all just melt away, and then they did. As light poured into your eyes, and you began to wake up, they faded to the back of your mind, and you had only one objective: survive.

Prompt from the 100 smut dialogue prompts: 66) “If you leave the house wearing that then the second you get back home I’m going to bend you over that bed.”
Also based on this ask ↓
Tumblr media
“That’s what you’re wearing to the meeting?” You spin on your heel, facing Ray that’s just appeared in the bedroom doorway. He’s leaning against the doorframe, arms crossed in front of him, and jaw working away as if fighting the urge to snap.
“Yes.” You reply, trying not to let the hurt show in your voice and face. His piercing eyes sweep the length of you.
“What’s wrong with it?” You ask. Deep lines appear on Ray’s forehead at your question. You don’t have to ask, not really. The top is too tight, doing nothing to hide the way your stomach pokes out, and the pants make you appear even wider. It’s warm outside though, the AC at the office isn’t fixed yet so if yesterday was any indication it will be like sitting in a sauna. Really, these are the most heatwave friendly clothes you own and to be honest they’re pushing the limits of what you’re comfortable wearing in public. You just didn’t think Ray would be so blatant in his distaste of your appearance. He still hasn’t answered so you sigh, let your shoulders slump and begin to head for the closet.
“Nevermind, I’ll change.” So you’ll get heatstroke and pass out, who cares? If the alternative is to embarrass both yourself and Raymond you suppose passing out is the lesser of two evils.
“Sweetheart.” Ray calls, voice authoritative in the way it only ever is when you’re playing your games together. Your body acts on instinct, stopping mid step to wait for an order. Ray closes the distance in a casual stride then lifts his arms to loosely wrap them around your shoulders. You squirm, try to look anywhere but at him. He’s not having it. With two fingers under your chin, Ray tilts your head back to meet his gaze.
“Allow me to clarify,” he says, voice much softer now “If you leave the house wearing that, then the second you get back home I’m going to bend you over that bed.” You blink. He’s not disgusted. In fact, if that is what you think it is pressing against your hip he’s the opposite of disgusted. As if hearing your thoughts, Ray rocks his hips forward and any remaining doubt is washed away at the feeling of his outline brushing up against you.
“Oh.” You croak. He slides his hands down your shoulders, squeezes your biceps.
“I love these arms,” Ray places a palm right at your belly button, rubbing back and forth “This stomach.” In spite of your resolve not to cry today, something you’d sternly told yourself after almost crying in front of the mirror, tears prick at the corners of your eyes. Ray wipes them away without comment. He pops the button, unzips the pants, and lets his hands slip inside to palm at the soft flesh just below your panties. You let your head fall forward, resting it at his shoulder.
“These thighs.” He purrs as he massages closer and closer to the damp spot at your underwear and this time when you squirm it’s to get closer, not to escape. He dips a finger inside. Ray groans, deep and throaty, as moisture coats his digit.
“Do you really have to go to this meeting?” Every part of you is begging for you to say ‘no’, to go call in sick and let Ray continue demonstrating his appreciation of your body. God, you hate being responsible.
“Yes.” You answer with a sigh and he huffs but nods. You can hear your heartbeat in your ears, cheeks burning with desire.
“Shame,” Ray retrieves his hands from between your thighs “Hurry back home.”

order 66
Tumblr media
(I really wanted the gif with him holding a toy gun but I can't find it 😕)(Star Wars, I can't think of the word but like back story that wasn't in the films)
You were late home from work so you decided to grab a McDonald's on the way hom. You got your recite with your order number on and you were order 66.  You took a picture of it and under neath you put “"don't want to keep coming here if this happens 😂” And with that you posted it on your account. Your evening was peaceful and you had no paperwork to do so you went to bed early, getting a good nights rest.
The next morning you walked into the DEO, with Alex next to you. Kara was waiting for her breakfast you always brought. “"Why did you kill them!?” Winn whispers while walking past you not waiting for your excuse. You excuse your self from Alex and kara's conversation. You run past them trying to catch up to Winn, it wasn't very hard considering he was only going to his desk. “"It wasn't my fault I'm sorry, I never would of done it if I knew” you pleaded, “"hold did you not know?! I thought your brother taught you better than that.” Winn says raising his voice a little. “Don't you dare bring my brother into this, I only reason I know this is because I wanted him to be proud of me instead of belittle my intelligence” you raising your voice causing everyone to turn to you and Winns little spat.
“"Ok, I'm sorry for bringing your brother into this, But you did kill all of the Jedi” “"like, I said earlier, not my fault” both of you now unable to keep the smirks off your face. “"Oh like how emperor palpatine, was the good one and yoda was evil” Winn sasses you with a full on smile on his face “evil green space dude I am” you say in your amazing yoda impression, making both of you laugh. After a couple of minutes you both stop laughing to see the whole DEO still staring at you. Alex walks up to you “"I thought you guys were actually having an argument, not bieng stupid about that terrible film” for a second you just stare at her in shock before you take a step forwards to find supergirl in your way.
“y/n, calm down she's just joking” she says, you take a step back and in your most menacingly tone “"you better be joking or I'm coming for you when you don't have your little superhero to protect you” both of you laughter knowing she could always beat you. “"Hey, y/n, when it comes to game night will you be on my team?” “"Is that your way of asking me out on a date?” You smirk taking a step closer to him “"only if you say yes” “"then yes... and just saying it took you long enough, i was thinking me flirting was too subtle” you say with a chuckle.

A Family Matter [Stronger #4]
Tumblr media
July 22, 2011
I didn’t expect to fall into a routine so quickly, nor did I really expect that I’d love my new life and the role I had in the world as a secret agent. Natasha and I quickly became friends outside of work once we realized that we had more in common than we first thought, and also because we saved each other’s lives on my first official mission. We had a solid bond based on that trust and it was only getting stronger with each day that passed.
I also learned that her and Clint were more than just work partners, though they would prefer if I kept it to myself, as if I’d have anybody to tell anyway. They were my mentors but they were also my friends.
Currently we were in a training room; my friends thought I needed to work on my hand-to-hand combat skills just in case I couldn’t use my powers for any reason.
I wasn’t allowed to use my powers and Natasha beat me up, not enough to injure but enough to warn me that she could if she wanted, in two minutes. She moved fast and hard but there was a gracefulness in her movements that showed she had ballet training. Afterwards she let me read her file, and told me about her growing up in the Red Room.
So I was currently sparring with Clint while Natasha gave me pointers. It reminded me of when I used to do this with Bucky and my heart broke a little more every time I remembered him because I missed him so much.
Clint currently had me over his shoulders, one arm around my throat and the other holding one of my legs in place while the other tried to kick him. He wasn’t trying to hurt me, but his grip got a little tighter for every minute I was stuck here.
“Think, Madi!” Natasha said. “How can you get out of this without your power?”
I gripped Clint’s wrist but he didn’t budge, so I grabbed his hand and pulled it to my mouth and bit him. He yelled and dropped me but I managed to catch myself and leg swept him, knocking him to the ground. I stepped back and away, unsure if that was ok for me do.
Natasha’s slow clap was the reassurance I needed. “Don’t be afraid to fight dirty here. It’ll make it more easier for you to do it out there.”
“I just don’t wanna hurt anybody here,” I said.
“It’s all good, kiddo. Nat’s right,” Clint said standing up. “You didn’t even bite me that hard.”
 “Kiddo?” I scoffed. “Technically I’m 87, I’m your senior.”
Natasha and Clint chuckled before Clint readied his stance again. “Don’t hold back this time.”
“I’ll try,” I said and readied my stance. Just as I was about to charge him, a man came running in the room. Natasha quickly pulled a gun, seemingly out of thin air, while Clint turned towards the man.
“Agent Barnes,” he called, coming to a quick stop when he saw the three of us ready to take him out. “Uh, pardon my intrusion, but I have urgent news for Agents Barnes!”
“Then speak urgently,” I said, relaxing my stance. Clint did the same while Natasha merely lowered the gun to her side.
The man beamed. “It’s great! Your brother – Captain America – has been found in the Arctic.”
It took me a moment to process his words. My hands started to shake. My heart rate sped up. “You… They found Steve? They found his body?”
“No, I mean yes. I mean they found him! He’s still alive.”
“Steve’s alive?” I whispered. My eyes were glossy and my throat was tight. The man nodded slowly and his smile seemed to grow bigger.
“Yes,” he said in a slow, distorted tone. I was doing it again. I took a deep breath to slow my heart rate and the man’s voice returned to normal as did time. “They’re defrosting him as we speak, but Coulson gave the order to let you know as soon as possible.”
“Steve’s alive,” I said. I chuckled a bit in disbelief before everything went black.
When I came to, the first thing I saw was Natasha and Clint staring at me. “What happened?” I looked around me and saw the man standing there, playing with his tie nervously. “Is it true? Can I see him?”
“Uh,” he looked at Clint and Natasha, but they weren’t my parents. I pushed myself up, giving myself a head rush that I brushed up.
“I need to see him, please. I have to apologize for what I said to him last!”
 “Woah, slow down kid.”
“You just fainted. Slow down a little bit!”
“No, it’s important,” I said. “You, man, what’s your name?”
“Agent Casper Matthews, ma’am,” Casper said.
“Ok, Agent Casper Matthews, take me to my brother please.”
 “Right away, ma’am,” he said.
“Hold on,” Natasha said grabbing my hand. I stopped and looked at her.
“Please. I have to see him,” I said. “I know I fainted but believe when I say I feel better. If you’re really concerned about me then come along.”
Her and Clint shared a look while I left to follow Agent Matthews but I heard their footsteps coming after me and smiled to myself.
I haven’t seen Steve since that fateful day, 66 years earlier.
 “It’s not about the war.”
I don’t know how many sleepless nights I spent thinking over our fight, and how wrong I was to try to stop Steve from going. How many times I wished he’d came back that day so I could apologize. How many hours I spent wondering what he meant.
“This is something that I need to do.”
His words were in my head. I can hear them clearly as if he just spoke them. He said “need” and not “want”. Of course he needed to do it; the world was at stake. Why did it need to be Steve though?
My fingers drummed on my knee in an unsteady pattern as thoughts kept going over in my head. There were so many things that happened between the training room and the car we were in now. They told me that they were still melting the ice off of him, and that once he was completely thawed out they would put him in a room and warm him up, and let him wake up on his own. Like they had done with me, except I wasn’t frozen when they found me.
“How are you going to tell him?” I asked. “Will you send Natasha in for him too?”
“We were thinking we would send you.” I immediately rejected the idea as I needed time to prepare myself to face him.
I recognized where we were. The monitors showed Steve sleeping in a bed, in a phony hospital room.
“He’s gonna see right through this,” I told the SHIELD agents sent to monitor him. Clint and Natasha were acting as my guards. “Especially that radio. You should just shut it off.”
“We can’t do that from out here, ma’am,” one of the techs spoke curtly.
“Do you even hear what’s on the radio?” I raged. My heart rate was starting to increase so I took a deep breath. “It’s an old game from 1941. We were there,” I said calmly. “Steve wouldn’t forget that.”
The tech actually looked nervous but before she could do anything Steve woke up. I sighed and hugged myself, watching with a held breath. A woman walked in and I almost rolled my eyes.
“Did anybody even do research on what life was like for us back then?” I asked. Nobody answered me and I shook my head, turning away from the monitor and waiting for Steve to do something. Anything.
A loud crash broke me from my thoughts and Natasha and Clint immediately took a fighting stance while I turned around, searching for the noise. I saw Steve emerge from the fake room and gawking at the two men he threw through the wall.
There he was. After 66 years. Standing right in front of me. My brother. Steve.
The feeling didn’t last long as he sprinted from the room, throwing the doors open like they were nothing.
 “Madi wait!”
I ignored my friends as I chased after him while the intercom announced that we had a Code 13.
“Steve!” I shouted, but I was one of many calling for him. Other SHIELD agents who didn’t want to get pushed away from Steve tried to stop me instead but I used more aggressive tactics to clear a path. “STEVE!”
Just as he was about to reach the door, I should his name again. “STEVE!”
He stopped short and turned. Our eyes met and I couldn’t help but tear up.
 “Steve?” I said again.
“Madi?” He used my same tone.
 “It’s me,” I said. “I’m here.”
Steve got a confused look on his face. “What? How? Why? Where are we?”
“We’re… We’re in New York, brother. Only, it’s 66 years later.”
 “What?” He asked.
“You’ve been asleep, Cap,” another voice cut in, and I flinched as I realized it was my boss Nick Fury. “For almost 70 years.”
“They found the ship in the ice,” I said. “The one you crashed.”
Steve looked down and I could practically hear his thoughts; I’m sure they were similar to mine when I realized my situation.
“Are you going to be ok?” Fury asked him. Steve looked around once more, at all the agents keeping their guard up ready to take him down. He scanned the interior of the room, the modern architecture and utilities.
 “I’m fine,” he said. “I just… I had a date.”
Peggy.
“Agent Barnes,” Fury said. “Why don’t you take your brother home and get him caught up.”
“Yes sir,” I said and stepped towards Steve. He didn’t move as he peered out the window, at the busy and crowded streets of modern-day Times Square, New York. “Oh.” I turned around and saw Clint and Natasha standing towards the back of the room. “I’m gonna need a ride.”
“You got it, kiddo,” Clint said. Natasha nodded and they took off, supposedly to get a car. “We’ll pick you up there in five minutes.”
After the other agents were dismissed, I moved to stand by Steve. He didn’t move or speak as I stepped closer to him, and I didn’t have the heart to say anything just yet either. I also didn’t want anyone else to hear what I had to say to Steve, even though I didn’t know what I wanted to say yet.
Clint and Natasha drove us 20 minutes to downtown Brooklyn where I lived. Once we got there, Steve stood on the street looking around while I had a quick chat with my friends.
“Don’t hesitate to call us for anything,” Natasha said. “But Clint and I will be leaving in a few days.”
“I remember,” I said. “And I will call you, thank you.”
“Take it easy, kiddo,” Clint said. I stepped back from their sleek car and watched them drive away before walking over to Steve.
“This is close to where Bucky used to live, isn’t it?”
“It is,” I smiled and took in the unfamiliarly familiar sight of my neighborhood. “Home is home, you know? Want to come inside?”
Steve only nodded his head and I led him to my apartment, only asking him if he was hungry.
“The food’s a little better,” I said. “We don’t have to boil everything anymore.” While I made us a simple but tasty lunch, Steve took a self-guided tour of my apartment.
“I can’t believe you still have this,” he said. I looked up from my stove to see he was studying the wedding photo. His eyes were lingering on Peggy, and Bucky, and Howard.
“It’s hard to believe, isn’t it? We’re here and they’re not.”
 “Are they all gone?”
“Peg’s still here,” I said. “She’s actually the one who calmed me down when I found out.”
Steve’s brows furrowed and he turned back to me. “When you found out what?”
 “That it’s 2011?”
“How are you here?” He asked.
“After your ship crashed, I came back to New York. Howard gave me a place to stay while he went looking for you. He found the Tesseract instead and brought it to his lab. Just, a freak accident happened and the Tesseract zapped me and Stefan into space and – ”
 “Stefan?”
“My son?” I said. Steve looked at me sadly. I smiled. “I have a son, Steve. Stefan James Barnes, born June 20, 1945.”
 “Is he…?”
“He’s still alive,” I said. “I hope. God.” I turned back to the stove and shuffled some pots around. “A lot of things happened between then and now. Stuff you couldn’t possibly believe.”
“Well, your father was an alien. How much crazier can this stuff be?” Apparently my story was crazier than the fact that my father was an alien. I was grateful that Steve believed me, but I suppose my tattoo and my sword and just the demonstration of my powers was enough to convince him. He did get sad when I told him how I ended up back on Earth, without Stefan. After I finished my story we both ate our lunch in silence. When we finished I sat back and stared at my brother, grateful for his presence.
“So what do now?” He asked.
I wanted him to get caught up in the world. I wanted him to go see Peggy. I wanted to tell him about her disease. I wanted to tell him about Howard, and how his son Tony was just like him. I wanted him to be in SHIELD with me so that we could keep an eye on each other now that I could actually fend for myself. I wanted us to go back in time, but I knew there was no way that could happen.
 “I don’t know,” I said.

THE COMPANIONS OF THE PROPHET (PBUH) : Abu Ubayda bin Jarrah (r.a.)
Abu Ubayda bin Jarrah, who was one of the 10 luckiest people who were given the glad tidings of Paradise when they were alive, was one of the first people who accepted Islam. His names was "Amir,"; his nickname was "Abu Ubayda". He was known as "Abu Ubayda bin Jarrah" based on his grandfather. His ancestors and the ancestors of the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) unite in the seventh generation.
Hz. Prophet praised him as follows: "Every ummah has a trustworthy person. The most trustworthy person of this ummah is  Abu Ubayda bin Jarrah." [ Tirmidhi, Manaqib: 33. ]. As it is known, one of the nicknames of the Prophet is "al-Amin (the Trustworthy)". With this hadith, the Prophet gave an attribute that belonged to him to Abu Ubayda.
When the people of Yemen asked the Prophet to send them a person to teach them Islam and the Sunnah, the Messenger of Allah sent Abu Ubayda to them.
When he became a Muslim, he had to leave his family at a very young age. His father, who was a polytheist, did not allow him to stay in his house. He tried to practice his religion under very hard circumstances in his house. When migration to Abyssinia became possible, he migrated to Abyssinia in order to get rid of the oppression and torture of the polytheists. Then, he migrated to Madinah and rejoined the Messenger of Allah there. When the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) established the bonds of brotherhood between Ansar and Muhajirs, he made Abu Ubayda brothers with Sa’d bin Muadh of Madinah.
Hz. Abu Ubayda, who was a brave Companion and a heroic mujahid, was together with the Prophet in all battles. He exerted great efforts during the Battle of Badr, which was the most important battle of Islam. He was among the believers and his father was among the polytheists. He was against his father. His father was looking for him and looking for an occasion to kill him. Abu Ubayda moved from place so as not to shed the blood of his father, who was a polytheist. However, it was very difficult and he had to sacrifice his father for his religion. Thereupon, the following verse was sent down: "Thou wilt not find any people who believe in Allah and the Last Day, loving those who resist Allah and His Messenger, even though they were their fathers or their sons, or their brothers, or their kindred." [ al-Mujadala, 22. ]
During the Battle of Uhud, the polytheists attacked the Prophet, wounded his face and broke one of his teeth. Two links that broke off his helmet pricked his face. When Hz. Abu Ubayda saw the Messenger of Allah like that, he could not bear and removed the links from the Prophet's face through his teeth. Meanwhile, two of his front teeth were broken. [ Usdul-Ghaba, 3: 85. ]
He joined all of the battles with the Prophet after that. He displayed great sacrifices in all battles.
Abu Ubayda was a person with a very clean heart. When, the Messenger of Allah gave him an order, he would sacrifice his life to fulfill that order.  During the Expedition of Salasil, Abu Ubayda did not object to Amr when he asked him to join him with his men and be under his command. He reminded him the following statement of the Messenger of Allah, "Do not conflict with Amr Ibn As." He said to Amr, "Even if you do not obey me, I will obey you."
When Hz. Prophet sent him to Khabat Expedition, he set off with 300 Companions. When their food finished, they had to do with 200 dates for a few days. When they ran out of all food and reached the coast they saw that a big fish had washed up on the shore. They ate it for several days. He returned from the expedition with all of his men safe and sound after fulfilling their duty.
After the death of the Messenger of Allah, the believers regarded Hz. Abu Bakr, Umar and Abu Ubayda appropriate for the caliphate. Hz. Prophet stated the following for Abu Ubayda after Hz. Abu Bakr and Umar: "He is such a good man. …" [ Tirmidhi, Manaqib: 33. ] Hz. Abu Bakr held Hz. Umar and Abu Ubayda with his hands and offered one of them to be chosen as the caliph. However, they waived their rights and decided to nominate Hz. Abu Bakr as the caliph.
Hz. Abu Ubayda came to the fore among the ummah with his administration, sagacity, wisdom and intelligence. Hz. Umar regarded him as the person that deserved to be the caliph.
When Hz. Abu Bakr became the caliph, he appointed Abu Ubayda to conquer Damascus and the land around. The Islamic Mujahids under the command of Abu Ubayda conquered Homs and Damascus up to Antioch. Besieging Jerusalem after that, Abu Ubayda made the people of Jerusalem accept to sign a contract and to surrender.  However, the people of Jerusalem said they would sign the peace contract only if Umar came. Abu Ubayda sent a person to Madinah and invited Umar to Jerusalem. Hz. Umar left Hz. Ali as his deputy and set off. After a long tiring journey that lasted for days, he arrived in Jerusalem. He received the key to Jerusalem.[ Asr-ı Saadet, 2: 66. ]
During the caliphate of Hz.Umar, there was a drought once. Hz. Umar asked help from the governors. The first one to help him was Hz.Abu Ubayda. Hz. Abu Ubayda, who was the governor of Damascus, took 4000 loads of grains to Madinah and distributed them among the Muslims around Madinah.
Hz. Abu Ubayda led a very plain and modest life. His criterion regarding the issue  was the following hadith of the Prophet: "The ones that I love among you the best and are closest to me are those who will reach me as I left them." [ Musnad, 1: 196. ]
During his caliphate, Hz. Umar went to Damascus and the places around it in order to inspect the epidemic of plague. He asked the notables of Damascus who gathered around him, "Where is my brother Abu Ubayda?" they said, "He will arrive soon."  After a while, Hz. Abu Ubayda arrived on camelback.
Hz. Umar asked Abu UUbayda to invite him to his house. He wanted to see how his governor lived with his own eyes. they arrived his home. When the Caliph entered his house, he saw a piece of armor and a few things. Thereupon, Hz. Umar asked him, "Do you not have anything else?" He said, "They are enough for my needs." Hz. Umar started to cry and said, "O Abu Ubayda, The world has changed everybody but not you." [ Isaba, 2: 254; Usdul-Ghaba, 3: 85. ]
Abu Ubayda (r.a.) was a Companion who was a symbol of virtue in all aspects. He feared Allah a lot and always acted in accordance with the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah. Fear of Allah was dominant in all of his deeds. He was very modest. He spoke as follows when he was the governor of Damascus:
"I am from Quraysh. However, when I see a person that is superior to me in terms of taqwa whether he has a red or black skin, I say, 'I wish I were in his body'."
Hz. Abu Ubayda was very generous. He would give away whatever he had to the poor. Once Hz. Umar sent him 4000 dirhams through an envoy and said to him, "Pay attention and find out how he will spend the money." When the envoy gave the money to Abu Ubayda, he distributed all of the money to the poor.
Abu Ubayda (r.a.), who was adherent to his duty wholeheartedly and who was very enthusiastic with the love of the Messenger of Allah, looked after the people who were under his command as if they were his own children. His mercy and compassion encompassed not only Muslims but also Christians. Therefore, Christians served him and gave him information about the movements of the enemy by watching them.
Abu Ubayda bin Jarrah, died of plague at the age of 58 in the 18th year of the Migration.
May Allah be pleased with him!

HoM: Order 66 PART III
Warnings: leaving a lot of the warnings the same as it all entails- angst in the beginning, middle, oh and a lot a the end. Angst with Padme, more mentions of pregnancy. Did i mention angst? I did? Well there’s more. Death, mentions of blood, violence, friends turning on friends. Anakin is a warning, literally, angst, Mentions of sickness and death… lots of death tbh
Summary: Anakin finds you and believed you to be dead, and it was his fault. Perhaps the dark side had taken more from him than it was giving.
A/n: it’s 3:21 am, if someone does not buy me a coffee i will die
also y'all if you like the story, maybe consider buying me a coffee :)
(Please buy me a coffee, i beg… i’m exhausted)
Words: 3.7k
Tumblr media
Anakin didn’t have a shred of regret in him thus far, until you came back to the temple. It was then he realized the weight of all this. He may not be able to kill you, but he knew the clones would, and he was powerless to stop them, though his power had now tripled from what it had originally been. He was shaken after you ran from him, hopefully to an escape. Hopefully to where you would be taken care of until this was all over.
He had been thinking of you as he paced the halls, wondering if you’d made it out okay. He was beginning to feel eerie about all of this, the pressure put on him. If you weren’t able to look him in the eye and forgive him after this, he doubted Padme ever could, and then all of this would be for nothing. If he didn’t have her by his side, it was like she was dead to him. His mind raced with these thoughts, and as he came back around the corner by the Archives, he froze.
You’d been struck down, several blaster shots penetrated your body as you lay there on the ground, sprawled out over yourself in a way he knew could not be of comfort. You were motionless however, and Anakin knew it was because you were gone, lost to the cosmic force forever. He felt a deep pain rip across his chest, and he knelt down to see your face growing pale. This had just happened. The members of the 501st had been patrolling the grounds for hours, now, and he knew that this just happened. The scene was still fresh, and your blood had not yet turned cold. That meant you’d been here a while, probably helping others to escape before they would face the same fate.
You were always helping people, helping him. This wasn’t how it was supposed to go. He’d told your friend to accompany you somewhere in the city, where you would be safe, but you came back for him. All of this, every little thing that happened was caused by him, and he had no choice but to take the blame for it. Once this was over, he was going to kill the chancellor. To exact revenge for making him do all these awful things just to get the power he wanted. There must have been an easier way, but Anakin was blinded at the time, unwilling to see the future effects, how he was feeling right now in this moment as he swept aside your hair from your face. Your eyes were shut peacefully, as though you were sleeping, and he wished it were so. He couldn’t feel your signature anymore, and knew that he probably wouldn’t be able to even if you were still alive. You would probably have blocked him out, never to be trusted again.
He wanted to sit there and cry, to mourn the loss of his best friend, and little sister. He’d always looked out for you, but today he failed. He wanted to grieve, but he couldn’t, the anger and the hatred that had consumed him was unwilling to let him feel those emotions right now, not when there was still work to be done. He hated what he had done, but he would still finish it, because it was too late for him. He was already condemned. Your death signified that. He have inadvertently killed the most gentle and kind Jedi in the galaxy, so how could he now redeem himself?
There were tears in his eyes, begging to fall, to run down his cheeks and absorb into the skin to let him feel his pain deeper, but they stayed within their confines, never spilling, and beginning to dry with each moment passed.
He noticed something had fallen out of your robes, a small necklace of some sort. Upon further inspection, he found the small kyber crystal pendant tied to the bottom of the leather string. It was blue, obviously not yours. Obi-Wan…
He hoped he never had to face him again, if not for the anger that was growing in his heart against his former master, then for the fact that he would never be able to explain, nor apologize for what he had done. You were Obi-Wan’s little one, his pride, his joy, his entire galaxy. The light of his path. He remembered what his master once said to him about you, the night that he’d confessed to Anakin how he truly felt for his younger padawan. She is the light incarnate. And he really believed it.
Anakin ripped the necklace from its place and tucked it into his belt, though he knew it wasn’t going to make him feel better, he wanted to take it with him, to have a small part of you. He was in shambles over this, and felt even more reckless now that you were gone. Obi-Wan made him promise to keep you safe while he was away, and though everything had changed drastically in that time, he had still planned on keeping that promise. He was meant to protect you, now he was partially your killer.
He wanted to take you body, to bury it somewhere of importance, or to give you the honor of a proper Jedi funeral. It’s what you deserved, but he knew it would never be allowed of him. The chancellor did not carry the same sympathies he did, and would deem it improper, and treasonous to now give any form of respect to the Jedi. Even a dead one.
He stood to his feet and walked away, prepared to leave to Mustafar, where the chancellor wanted him to end the lives of every separatist there was left. This was something he could do with a clear mind, because he’d been trying to do it for years, along with you and Obi-Wan. The war would end, at the cost of his sanity, and the lives of most everyone he knew, but it would end. He would use this newfound hatred, in and of himself over what happened to you, in order to destroy something you would have been perfectly fine with him destroying.
He looked back to you once he got to the end of the hallway, and as painful as it be, he forced himself to let a tear fall for you. After that, he was set back in his ways, his path to sure destruction.
-
When Obi-Wan had landed on Coruscant with Master Yoda, he wasn’t sure if he was prepared to see the damage done. Even walking up the steps of the temple was hard to take in, as the bodies of his friends and colleagues were splayed over the stairway and into the entrance. There were some clones awaiting their arrival, but they dealt with them swiftly and surely. Most of the clones were now stationed outside the capitol, where the emergency senate meeting was taking place. All the Jedi left in the temple were dead, no one had survived, not even the younglings. There was however, a scrape of blood on the floor, where an injured child or master may have gotten up and left undetected. It was a stretch, but perhaps there was hope.
Obi-Wan went into the archives and changed the outgoing signal to any remaining Jedi, telling them to keep hidden until the time was right. The time may never be right, and he realized that, but he refused to give up hope. He was stronger when he was optimistic, though sometimes it was hard. Especially when it concerned you. he hadn’t had contact with you in a long time, but having you just entered his mind, he wondered if you were close by. If you were safe. He valued you over any other in this universe, and though he knew it would do him good to stay calm, you weren’t going to leave his mind until he’d reached you. He extended his signature, just on the off chance that you were still here.
When you felt his presence, reaching to you, you took it, hoping that it would be enough for him to know you were alive. You were becoming dizzy and nauseous from within your hiding space, the darkness and tightness of the space was killing you. You wanted to leave, but knew there were probably still an abundance of clones, ready to finish you off should you show yourself.
Obi-Wan could feel the closeness of you, and Master Yoda wondered what he was dwelling on for so long, in a state of meditation.
“Reaching out, I assume you are,” he was trying to tap into the connection, but it seemed whoever Kenobi was in tune with, there was no room for outsiders. It seemed to be a private and previously established connection. “But who?”
“My padawan, she’s still alive, but she’s hurt,” he winced at his own words, and the more he synced himself with you, he began to feel immense pain. “She’s hiding nearby.”
“Know where she is, do you?”
Obi-Wan opened his eyes and looked to Yoda, his expression was something that hurt to behold.
“Yes,” Master Kenobi began to head to the back of the archives, to a place he had not long forgotten, where he thought he may find you.
You were not in such good condition anymore, as you hadn’t been since getting shot repeatedly. The shots you received were lucky if you were being honest. If you’d been shot in the chest, you’d still be laying on that floor in the grand hall.
Your ears perked at the sound of rapid footsteps approaching, and your heart began racing like it was the end. Perhaps it was, maybe they had found your secret hiding space and were here to kill you once and for all. There were so many times in your life that you almost died, so many close calls. It all began with the time you sacrificed yourself for Obi-Wan, when Count Dooku set the trap. He had intended to kill you, but never got the chance. You were a good cheater when it came to death, but cheaters never win, not in the end.
You were going to use the last of your energy to fight, to give it everything you had before falling. You knew you would, you were too weak to go on.
When the steps became so close you could feel the ground vibrate with them, you readied yourself, taking deep breaths and raising a hand in front of you. The vent panel, as old as it was, could still slide open quickly, and it did, revealing you to the opposing forces on the other side. Without taking a second glance, you threw your opponent into the wall behind him, falling out of the vent shaft and onto your hands and knees, which eventually gave out as you crumbled to the ground.
Obi-Wan was shocked by what had happened, but didn’t dwell on it, as you laying on the ground with three blaster shots in your body was where his immediate focus traveled to. You had a bloody lip, and your eyebrow had a gash in it, where a scar would probably form later on.
“Obi?” Your eyes were closing, and your voice wasn’t even as loud as a whisper.
“Little one,” he panicked, watching the color drain from your face, though you were already pale as snow. The cauterized blaster shots were beginning to break open, and you your bleeding on his hands. You were dying, and he wasn’t ready to face that tragedy, not with everything that’s happened. “Stay with me, please.”
“To Senator Organa’s ship, we must take her, if alive she is to stay.”
Yoda’s words were fuzzy when they reached him, but he understood it was your only chance, so once he processed it, he was scooping you up into his arms, following the Grand master through the temple until again they were outside. Passing by the bodies made Obi-Wan think about the horrors you must have seen to survive this. It was horrific, something from nightmares.
There was a speeder waiting once they descended the steps again, -rather quickly considering he was carrying you- with one of Organa’s advisors. It was the one they arrived in, but Yoda didn’t plan on leaving so soon. He knew that in order to put a stop to whatever was happening, they would need to investigate. Enough at least to find out the true cause of this.
Obi-Wan loaded you in the back the best he could before trying to board alongside you, thought it would be difficult, without disturbing you. One wrong move could cause you to lose an abundance of blood, and he was reminded of another time when he was put in this exact same position, the day he realized he could not live without you. That had been his driving force then, and it would remain his driving force now.
“Done, we are not. Stay to find answers, we will,” Yoda interrupted Obi-Wan’s haste, and the man looked at him with disbelief.
“I can’t. She could die, and I need to be with her,” he was all but about to continue his efforts of climbing into the speeder before Yoda stopped him yet again. This was very out off character for Kenobi, but of course, he was always very crucial about things when it came to his padawan. He always had been.
“If her time, this is,” Yoda hobbled up to be next to him, looking over you before regaining Obi-Wan’s attention. “Then let go of her, you must.”
“I can’t lose her,” Obi-Wan became more aggressive, and it was now that Yoda put the pieces together, immediately recognizing the attachment the council feared resided for years. It had been there all along, though it had grown far deeper than they had previously worried for.
“See your attachment, I do,” Yoda nodded to him, but did not give him the compliance that he could yet leave. “Made you to fear loss, it has.”
Obi-Wan realized it only now, but he had glassy eyes, becoming blurry to his vision the longer he let the tears pile up. He blinked once, letting them fall freely and revealing to Yoda yet another piece of this puzzle. Obi-Wan loved you. Not like a Master should care for his padawan, but real love, true and deep, and unending for eternity.
“I won’t let her go, she needs me,” his soft trembling words were not anything he ever thought he’d say to Master Yoda, someone he’d known since he was a boy, and had grown to know ever since. He was the epitome of what the Jedi stood for. He was strong and wise, and powerful with the force, never straying from the light, or the rules that bonded him to the order. He knew that since all cards were out on the table, that perhaps he should let just one more being in on your secret. It couldn’t hurt to try… “She’s pregnant.”
Yoda’s look of surprised rivaled pure astonishment. He couldn’t believe that someone he’d known all this time, who sat beside him on the council and fought alongside him could have hidden such a secret from him. He was sure that by any others this could be seen as wildly inappropriate, and would seem as though Obi-Wan took advantage of you, but knowing you, it wasn’t likely. Obi-Wan would have never been the one to start this, it must have been you. You were wild and reckless and though a good Jedi in most aspects, you didn’t seem to agree with the rules of the order.
“If to survive, she and her offspring are, send her for help, you must.”
“She’ll be alone,” Obi-Wan was uneasy about this, but the more he though about it, he was only going to slow the process down, as he was doing right now.
“But safe and taken care of, she will be,” Yoda signaled the advisor who was piloting the speeder to go, and he did, without giving Obi-Wan another chance at going with you. He had to have faith that you would be alright, you and his child. He doubted that would be the case, but he couldn’t think like that. If he began to lose hope that things would get better then they definitely would not. “Much to discover about this tragedy, there still is.”
Yoda lead him back into the temple, where again his heart would be ripped out of his chest, and crushed. He would soon find the security holograms of Anakin’s siege over the temple, and when he did, he would begin his descend into a sadness for his brother, who would forever be lost to him.
-
Mustafar was full of red light, by the molten lava that flowed through the planet’s many falls and cavernous grounds. It was a horrible and miserable place, meant for the evils of what was to come of it. The chancellor, nay, emperor, had already made plans to make base here, to run Darth Vader’s dealings for the new empire. Anakin didn’t like how it sounded, but he was becoming more accustomed to Palpatine’s plans as it were. He was angry at Obi-Wan, for as far as he knew, his former Master had visited with his lovely wife the senator, and that was the reason why he saw her ship coming to land on the pad beside the base. He knew that she was probably here to confront him on what she had been told was true, and it was.
When she ran out of the aircraft, his first instinct had been to wrap her up in his arms, to keep her close so that she could not escape him, even if she chose to. He was doing this for her, to keep her and his child alive. Little did he know about yours and Obi-Wan’s, which was surely dead by now.
It was when she began spewing out all the things he had done, and reprimanded him for it that he let the darkness wash over him again. He couldn’t even control himself from harming her, now, as he used the force to wrap pressure around he throat. It had even come to this, the love of his life about to die by his hand. He had never been prepared for the side effects of the darkside, but since his mind wass clouded by it, he knew no better anymore.
Looking up to Obi-Wan at the top of the ship ramp, he scowled in anger.
“Let her go, Anakin,” he descended the ramp, ready to fight the boy he once knew. That boy was gone, and there was little chance of him coming back.
“You turned her against me,” he jeered, his pain and anger showing through at once. Funny, how the darkness compelled away the other feelings but allowed him to keep the pain, expressionless.
“You have done that yourself.”
Anakin looked at Padme, where she lay unconscious and in complete disarray, likely injured and now bruised. He continued to hurt the people he loves, and he couldn’t even help it anymore. That was the saddest thing of all, because one day he would wake up and have no one, and it would be his doing.
“You will not take her from me!” He shouted, ready to engage his old master, even from where he stood across the tarmac.
“Your anger and lust for power have already done that,” Obi-Wan discarded his cloak, letting it fall to the ground as he obtained his saber in hand, ready to end this if there was no other way to stop him but. He didn’t want to kill Anakin, but he came to terms with the fact that this was not Anakin. This was not the boy he trained, the one who laughed at ungodly hours of the morning along with you, accidentally waking him up before the early mornings. This was not the boy who tripped over his doorway every night before bed, thumping against the wall to stablize himself. At last, this was not the boy he promised to train, to do good by his master and to raise into the chosen one among the Jedi. This was a Sith Lord, clear as day. “You’ve allowed this Dark Lord to twist your mind until now… until you have become the very thing you swore to destroy.”
They circled each other, trying to decide their strategies before hand. Obi-Wan had taught him well, but Anakin had never beat him before. His new power, now, however… that was a different story. The field had been leveled, and it could go either way.
“Don’t lecture me, Obi-Wan. I see through the lies of the Jedi; I do not fear the dark side as you do,” even his voice was different. It was so much harsher and violent than his usual soft and compassionate tone. Though it could change when he became upset, it had never reached this level of intensity. “I have brought peace, justice, freedom, and security to my new empire.”
“Your new empire?” Obi-Wan almost pitied him, because he honestly believed he had any say in this mess. He couldn’t see that the Emperor was using him as a puppet, pulling the strings before he would inevitably cut them.
“Don’t make me kill you…”
“Anakin, my allegiance is to the republic, to democracy!”
If you were here, things would be different, both of them knew it… but as far as Anakin knew, you were dead, and you he would never see you again.
“If you’re not with me, then you’re my enemy,” Anakin was ready to fight, but with you on his mind, there was one more thing he needed to do. Even though he was going to try and kill Obi-Wan he would make peace with himself before he did.
“Only a Sith deals in absolutes, I will do what I must.”
Anakin watched Obi-Wan ignite his saber, but before doing the same with his own, he dug into the pouch of his belt, reaching in then casting his arm out, throwing at Obi-Wan’s feet the pendant he stripped from your neck at the temple. It was then that Kenobi was broken. Anakin had been the one to try and kill you… Though there were shots of a blaster in your body, he was there, and probably gave the order.
“Though you will choose not to believe me, there is one thing I regret in all of this,” Anakin said, his tone unchanging, and his expression the same.
“What have you done?” Obi-Wan’s furrowed eyebrows and trembling lip hit a nerve with Anakin. If he should be able to cause mass hysteria all over the galaxy, murdering his allies in order to keep his love, then why should Obi-Wan have to suffer by losing his? “She was pregnant, Anakin!”
If just for a second, Anakin was himself again, and felt overwhelmed. You were in Padme’s position, but you never even had a chance. You were probably scared and alone when you died, and knowing that your unborn child was going to die with you was probably agonizing.
Obi-Wan didn’t even think before he used the past tense ‘was’, and now that he had, it became real… your future that you both had planned out, was completely gone. Everything he’d ever wanted would now be lost at the hands of his former apprentice, but he would pay the price for it, not Anakin.
“What you have done cannot be undone, I fear there is no resolve left but to destroy the Sith.”
“You will try…”
Within an instant, sabers were clashing, and the battle had begun, the fight between good and evil which would determine the fate of the galaxy.
-
You woke up to bright lights, and though it was sudden, you scanned the room quickly. You were not in the temple, you were in an infirmary, republic made by the looks of it. Perhaps a diplomatic chip for long off-world journey. You were numb from the waist down, unable to move, or even feel the lower parts of your body.
You were alive, and given the two heartbeats on the monitor, so was the life inside you. You tried to find Obi-Wan, but he wasn’t in the room, surely he was the one who brought you here, wasn’t he?
Branching out your presence, you met a familiar one in the room beside you, Padme… but-
No. Oh no, this can’t be happening. She was dying.
Her life force was fading away, and you were unsure of how or why this was happening. She was perfectly fine when you left her, but since you never came back… Could this be your fault? Had she gone to look for you and Anakin?
The parts of your body that you could feel started to become numb, but now by any medication they were feeding you through the many tubes and wires connected to you… you had already felt the numb sting of loss in the last twenty four hours, and new it was coming again. This probably wouldn’t be the end, either. Whatever you had done in your life to deserve all this pain and suffering, you did not know, but the force around you kept giving you endless tests that were weakening your spirit, along with your body.
You called out for Obi-Wan, using your connection to simply put a few simple words into his head, but he heard them loud and clear, excusing himself to go find you.
When he entered the door, coming to sit by you, you sighed out. He looked worse for wear, and had little burn marks all over his robes.
“You’re awake,” he smiled softly, kissing the side of your head and keeping himself close to you. He had seen you when he first arrived, and you looked utterly dead, despite your vitals still continuing.
“Obi,” you weren’t even sure how to say it, but you needed to. “You need to go to Padme, I feel her, she’s dying.”
“I know,” he said with a scorn expression, dropping his face to the ground and wishing that it weren’t so. Only a day ago, everything had been fine, what the hell happened that now you were almost killed by you best friend, and his wife was dying unexpectedly. “They are prepping her for a procedure to save the children.”
“Children?” You twisted your face into a confused stare, and he moved to explain it to you.
“She’s been carrying twins.”
All this time, and you didn’t think to sense the life force of the child, knowing she was pregnant. You could have told her days ago, when none of this had happened. You were unsure how you had missed it every time.
“Go to her, Obi. She won’t last long,” you knew he wasn’t as in tune with her presence as you were, for you always felt everyone’s life force so deeply. Consulars are the force made living, and you were no exception. You were crying at this point, and there was no way to soothe you. He nodded to your words, and stood up, reaching for your hand to squeeze it before he took his leave.
You began to sob to yourself when he left, loud and uncontrollable. No one was around to hear it anymore, so you saw no need in holding it back.
You could feel her pain, of losing her husband, of losing her life, and not being strong enough to keep going for her children. She wanted to, but an unforeseen force was drawing her life away, and it could not be stopped.
You waited, and waited, the process of her birth taking more time than usual, because she did not have the strength to push as she should. It was a horrid labour, and when it was over, you felt an immense peace, but only for a second, as right after that, the smallest bit of spirit she had been hanging onto, let her for good.
Padme, the former Queen of Naboo, and Senator of the galactic republic, had painfully succumbed to death.
You screamed out in pain, and this time, a medical aid, as well as a droid came rushing into your room to see what the problem was.
You monitors were going crazy, and as they tried to stabilize you, it seemed the problems that were quickly stemming from your physical form were being caused by your mental state. They gave you a sedative, lowering an oxygen mask over your face to keep you breathing properly until they could figure out what was wrong. The two heartbeats shown on the screen were fluctuating by the minute, raising and lowering against the other, as if taking turns trying to find a steady rhythm, but failing.
The droid stayed to help you, and the aid left to find Kenobi, who had warned him to come and retrieve him should anything change with you.
Obi-Wan didn’t like what he saw when he rushed back into the room, as you were again unconscious, and there was a mask on your face. The loud beeping coming from beside him made him fear the worst, and he ran to your other side, trying to feel you through the force, and find your signature. He held onto it tightly, as if keeping it from leaving you, though it wasn’t really trying, there was something wrong.
“What’s happened?!”
The droid was able to even the monitor, but he didn’t know how long it would last. His programming told him that the situation was impossible, but it was happening sure enough.
“It appears her emotional stress has affected her body’s ability to support the fetus. It’s causing her to miscarry,” the words were Obi-Wan’s detriment, but he listened on, as the droid had more to say. “Though it should be impossible, the fetus seems to be… fighting back. It’s drawing her life force to try and survive, but if it succeeds, they will both die within the next few minutes.”
He didn’t know what to do… what could he do? He didn’t want to lose either of you, but what choices did he have?
“What can be done to save her?” He questioned, awaiting impatiently for the droid to answer him.
“If we terminate the fetus, now, she will recover.”
It was killing you, he told himself. It wasn’t going to live either way, but you could still be saved, and you could recover. There may be down the road another opportunity, however small, for another child to enter your lives, but this one was going to take you away from him and he couldn’t let it. It had been three years, seven months, and eighteen days since he realized he loved you, and could not live without you. It was then he decided he was always going to make the choices that would save you, even if you didn’t like it. He was always going to do whatever was necessary to keep you alive and by his side… if he didn’t, he would be in pain and misery for the rest of his short life, which would end far sooner without you in it.
“Do what you must,” he said, closing his eyes in defeat. He was depressed beyond measure, as he sat down in the chair and held your hand, keeping his fore head against the side of yours to keep him in even a semblance of calm while they continued with the procedure.
Though it sounded rather grim, he was so thankful that a procedure like this existed, that he may keep his little one, that she may live a long life by his side and in his heart.

NYC’s New Restaurant Openings (5) added to Google Docs
NYC’s New Restaurant Openings (5)
If you tried to keep track of every brand new restaurant in New York City, you might go a little bit crazy. So just read this list instead. These are the new restaurant openings that seem like they have the most potential - although keep in mind, for the ones we haven’t tried, we make no promises. Go forth and be a pioneer.

 The Izakaya $$$$ 215 E 4th St
The Izakaya has an unassuming name, impressive Japanese small plates, and now, a second East Village location that looks like what would happen if a merchandiser from Anthropologie designed the inside of an underground bunker. february Barbuto $$$$ 113 Horatio St

No need to freak out if you don’t spend daytime hours near Nolita - they’re extending dinner hours soon.
We checked out Thai Diner and added it to our Hit List.

Dolly Varden $$$$ 302 W 51st Street
Language is hard. For example, Dolly Varden is a type of trout, the name of a character in a Dickens novel, and now it’s also a two-story bar in Hell’s Kitchen. So next time you’re name dropping this new jazz age-themed cocktail bar, make sure you clarify.
Hakata Zen Hakata Zen $$$$ 31 St Marks Place

Money Cat Vietnamese Kitchen $$$$ 554 Wilson Ave

The West Village has very few casual Thai spots in the neighborhood. So if you live in the area, take note of Top Thai Vintage on Carmine Street.
Factory Tamal East Village $$$$ 63 E. 4th Street
If you spend time on the LES, it’s possible you’ve been meaning to check out Factory Tamal for a while now (or you go every other Sunday morning for breakfast sandwiches and tamales). Consider their new second location in the East Village a further incentive to get involved with a chipotle chicken tamale.
Indika House $$$$ 943 Broadway
Indika House is a casual Indian restaurant in Bed-Stuy, right across from the Myrtle Broadway subway station. The menu seems pretty straightforward (full of dishes like biryani and vindaloo), and we can only describe the walls as having a similar aesthetic to the Rainbow Road level in Mario Kart.

It’s owned by an ex-sommelier from The French Laundry in Napa Valley who also used to run the beverage program at Per Se, which is to say, you should expect to learn more about great wine (and ham) in this tiny, brick-walled room on Rogers Ave. Just keep in mind that, for now, & Sons is only open Thursday through Sunday.

They specialize in Roman-style pizza called pinsas, but you can also order things like baked cacio e pepe and beef short ribs here.
Dashi Brooklyn $$$$ 119 Ingraham St.
Eat outdoors at Smorgasburg all winter if you want to. But first, you should know that the team behind a couple of regular vendors at the weekly food fair (including a fried chicken truck and a pho bar), just opened an all-day Japanese comfort food place in East Williamsburg. To no one’s surprise, you can find a fried chicken sandwich and pho on the menu, but there are also some donburi rice dishes, sandwiches, and avocado toast served with an optional $6 slab of hanger steak.
Rome To Brooklyn Pizza $$$$ 755 Grand St
There’s a new slice shop in Williamsburg where you can get toppings like blueberry and pancetta, or pear and gorgonzola on your pizza. And if you’re looking for a sit-down lunch or dinner, you can grab a seat at one of the two-tops inside and think about adding a rosemary focaccia panini, hellboy panzerotti (essentially a fried calzone from the heel of Italy’s boot), or a beef-filled arancini to your order.

Our good friends at The Infatuation Chicago love Strings Ramen, so we’re happy to see that the first NYC location of this counter-service spot just opened in the East Village. Taqueria Al Pastor is a new counter-service Mexican spot with a meat spit in the kitchen, which makes us confident that they’re serious about tacos. The team behind Bar Goto, where we go when we want to pretend we’re at a tiny bar in Tokyo for a few hours, just opened a new, slightly-larger bar in Park Slope. Somtum Der $$$$ 380 Van Brunt St
Somtum Der is one of the best Thai spots in the East Village and now that the people behind it have opened a second location in Red Hook, we’re hoping we can say the same for this South Brooklyn neighborhood.

The people behind Llama Inn have opened a new spot in the West Village. The menu at this upscale dinner spot has Japanese and Peruvian dishes like scallop ceviche, duck breast with rice, and pork tonkatsu with udon.
We checked out Llama San and added it to our Hit List.
 Sahadi's Sahadi's $ $ $ $ Middle Eastern  in  Brooklyn ,  Sunset Park $$$$ 34 35th Street Not
Rated
Yet
Legendary Middle Eastern grocery store Sahadi’s has opened its second Brooklyn location at Industry City, with a casual counter-service restaurant and bar inside. It looks like there’s plenty of space here to eat Lebanese dishes like falafel wrapped in saj and drink beer or wine with a group.
Liz Clayman Malibu Farm $$$$ 89 South St
This Malibu tourist magnet has opened an NYC location on Pier 17 in the Seaport District. As you might expect, the menu here has kale salad, cauliflower pizza, and a fried egg sandwich.
Los Tacos No. 1 $$$$ 136 Church St
Los Tacos, which makes some of the best tacos in NYC, has opened its third NYC location in Tribeca. Like other outposts in the city, this Tribeca spot has no seating. It is, however, one block from City Hall Park, where you can eat your carne asada tacos on a bench outside.
Norm’s Pizza $$$$ 345 Adams St
Norm’s Pizza is a new slice shop in Downtown Brooklyn from the people behind Upside Pizza in Midtown. The space looks like a ’60s pizza parlor with a small counter where you can stand and eat your margherita, mozzarella, pepperoni, or vodka slice.
August  The Jones $ $ $ $ American ,  Seafood  in  NOHO $$$$ 54 Great Jones St Not
Rated
Yet
The Jones is a new cafe in Noho from the people behind Fedora and Jeffrey’s Grocery. For now, they are only open on weekdays till 3pm, serving breakfast and lunch options like tuna carpaccio, clams, and a sandwich that looks like a fancy Filet-O-Fish.
We checked out The Jones and added it to our Hit List.
Fong On $$$$ 81 Division St
There is a new counter-service spot in Chinatown where you can get soy-based snacks like tofu pudding, green tea rice cake, and fresh soy milk. With only a few seats inside of Fong On, it looks like a serious takeout situation.
First Lamb Shabu $$$$ 218 E 14th St
First Lamb Shabu, a hot pot chain with locations in China and in Flushing, has opened its first Manhattan restaurant in the East Village. Not only does the menu here have lamb, beef, ox, and seafood options for your hot pot, but there are also kitschy add-ons. We’re specifically intrigued by the block of congealed beef oil in the form of a 3D Hello Kitty doll. It reminds us of the spice packets and pastes you put in ramen.
Go Nonna $$$$ 10-50 44th Dr
Go Nonna is a casual new Italian/Argentinian spot in Long Island City with a small takeout window for coffee, open weekdays at 11am. The lunch and dinner menus here have starters like eggplant parm and fried shrimp, plus a long list of pastas, like cacio e pepe and spaghetti with meatballs.
 Noah Fecks Khiladi $$$$ 175 Avenue B
Khiladi is a new Indian spot in the East Village where you can eat dosas and watch South Indian films from the ’80s. There are some classic dishes like tikka masala and sag paneer on the menu, plus curry poutine and pudding with vermicelli noodles.
Liz Clayman Manero’s Pizza $$$$ 113 Mulberry St
Manero’s is a new slice shop in Little Italy from some of the people behind JaJaJa. There’s a small counter inside where you can order a square or thin slice, and a disco ball hanging from the ceiling to set the mood.
 Xu's Public House $$$$ 15 Union Square W
Xu’s Public House is a new upscale Chinese spot that’s half-a-block from Union Square. It’s open for dinner every day and the menu has a lot of seafood dishes like squid ink dumplings, lobster risotto, and crab noodles.
Spudz $$$$ 1460 Fulton St
If you’re a french fry person, then you’ll probably want to know Spudz, a fry spot in Bed-Stuy. You can get your fries loaded with anything from jerk chicken and sweet plantains to cinnamon and caramel sauce. Keep in mind that Spudz is currently only open Thursday-Sunday.
Renegades of Sunset $$$$ 254 36th St Suite C29S
Renegades Of Sunset is a new vegan fast-food spot at Industry City Food Hall in Sunset Park. The philly cheesesteak, bacon mac and cheese, and cinnamon rolls all look promising.
 Cremini’s $$$$ 521 Court St
This neighborhood Italian spot in Carroll Gardens looks like a good spot for a casual breakfast, lunch, or dinner in the area. It looks like fried custard balls are the specialty here, but the menu here also has a meat and cheese platter, stuffed olives, and a burger on a good-looking pretzel bun.
Carneval $$$$ 507 Grand Street
Carneval is a new Latin spot in Williamsburg that looks perfect for a party that ends with you swinging by the next day to pick up your credit card. There are carnival masks on the walls, daily drink specials, and food options like tacos, ceviche, and skirt steak.
 Laut Singapura $$$$ 31 E 20th Street
Laut Singapura is a new Singaporean restaurant in Gramercy. It’s from the team behind Laut, a casual Southeast Asian spot near Union Square, but this place is more upscale - with velvet chairs, marble tables, and colorful murals.
Amata Kohl Hoek Pizza $$$$ 117 Ferris St
This Red Hook restaurant and bar looks like a huge loft, with brick walls, large windows, tufted sofas. You’ll find small plates, sandwiches, and salads on the menu here, but what this place specializes in are Roman-style pizzas (which you can watch as they cook in the pizza oven).
 Ole & Steen Ole & Steen $$$$ 80 W 40th Street
Danish bakery Ole & Steen has opened a third location on 40th Street near Bryant Park. Like the Union Square and Midtown East spots, the breads and pastries are the reasons to come here, plus there’s plenty of space for lunch meetings.
Chairman Sun $$$$ 47-30 Vernon Blvd, Long Island City, NY 11101
This new Chinese spot in Long Island City is from the people behind Hunan House, a popular Flushing restaurant. Chairman Sun serves a huge menu, ranging from dim sum to dry pot to a whole fish.
Mama Capri $ $ $ $ Italian  in  Cobble Hill $$$$ 247 Smith St Not
Rated
Yet
Mama Capri is here to make you feel like you’re much closer to an Italian beach than the Gowanus canal. There’s a lot of blue tile, lemon wallpaper, string lights on the back patio, and a seafood menu with dishes like stuffed calamari, shrimp risotto, and an octopus salad.
Corry Arnold Electric Lemon $$$$ 33 Hudson Yards Fl 24
This American restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the 24th floor of the new Equinox Hotel in Hudson Yards. The grilled meats, salads, and raw options on the menu make this spot seem great for a very healthy meal with a view, especially if you prefer eucalyptus towels to regular ones.
 Sauce Pizzeria $$$$ 315 5th Ave
This counter-service pizza place, with locations in the East Village and on the LES, has opened a third spot in Koreatown between 31st and 32nd Street. If you’re feeling adventurous, go for the al pastor pie with pineapple sauce.
Walson Luu Reverence $ $ $ $ American  in  Harlem $$$$ 2592 Frederick Douglass Blvd Not
Rated
Yet
Reverence is a new East Asian, French, and Latin American-inspired tasting menu spot in Harlem. Before you eat here, you’ll have to make a reservation and pay $98 per person for five-courses in advance, but the uni empanadas, escargot, and honey cake make it all seem worth it.
Greg Rhein Plado Tasting Bar $$$$ 192 E 2nd St
Plado Tasting Bar is a new Mediterranean-inspired tapas spot in the East Village that serves dishes like lamb meatballs and paella for dinner. They also have brunch until 4pm on weekends.
Pizette $$$$ 191 Graham Ave
This new sit-down pizza spot in Williamsburg has sourdough personal pies for $6 and larger ones from $12 to $16, with toppings like walnut and pesto. There are also dollar oysters here on weeknights.
Omakase Room by Maaser $$$$ 321 Bleecker St
There’s a new omakase sushi spot in the West Village where you can eat 12 pieces for $75 or 17 pieces for $115.
We checked out Omakase Room by Maaser and wrote about it here.
 Paloma at Hotel Hendricks $ $ $ $ American ,  Latin  in  Midtown ,  Midtown East $$$$ 25 W 38th St Not
Rated
Yet
This new Central and South American restaurant at Hotel Hendricks in Midtown serves dishes like beef carpaccio with chimichurri, grilled chicken, and short ribs. It looks like another upscale breakfast or dinner option near Bryant Park.

It is safe and comfortable for me to experience planetary changes and fluctuations. I am safe and comfortable moving forward with grace and ease, regardless of the time of year or the moon phases. I will come to the realization that a lot of the stuff I am picking up on and feeling isn't even mine and I shed it and let it go as I hear or read this now. Throughout all space and time and in all languages so it is.

TGIWednesday and ordering more whack
TGIWednesday News
Well, my birthday week has been a little out of whack. My voice is still not 100% and I thank folks for sending their wishes and prayers and hey - if you're into fishing and praying and healing - by all means please work on me work on my voice my vocal cords my larynx anything you see fit to bolster my body thank you.............. all will be back to normal soon. It's been feeling a bit off with all the recent planetary retrogrades and full moons lately so since I can't record a new video download this week, we went into the archives and pulled up one for having more ease with planetary changes - enjoy! Also, we had a wonderful kick-off of the new Fountain of Youth audio release this month and many wonderful comments. We will be sending out a separate email today or tomorrow (only to those buyers) with details & link for registering for the bonus call next Wednesday - so if that's you....be on the lookout!

~  EASE WITH PLANETARY CHANGES ~
It is safe and comfortable for me to experience planetary changes and fluctuations. I am safe and comfortable moving forward with grace and ease, regardless of the time of year or the moon phases. I will come to the realization that a lot of the stuff I am picking up on and feeling isn't even mine and I shed it and let it go as I hear or read this now. Throughout all space and time and in all languages so it is.
From the Fish Box
"Hi, Jimmy. I wish you happy birthday. I will pray for you. :) I am so grateful that I found replay of you in Lauren Galey' s show. It was  a miracle.  In the middle of the night while I was sleeping I suddenly got a strong impulse to check new replays which are available during weekends. You touched me.  I am already using liquid fish. Thank you. I wish you all the best, greetings from sLOVEnia." -  V. S.
