Being “uneducated” about issues like Palestine 5 months in (even though this has been going on for far longer than that) after every piece of information, images, etc., that is readily available, is willful ignorance at this point.

These last few months have been shrouded in a deep depression. The Palestinian people have been the first thing that I think of in the morning, and the last thing I think of before going to bed every day. And in the time in between, if I’m thinking about the horrors that the Palestinian people are facing, I’m thinking about the exploitation of Congolese people for their land’s natural resources, the conflict in Sudan, or any of the various genocides currently taking place. I do not understand how people are proceeding like normal. When I drink my coffee and scroll Instagram in the morning, I see pictures of babies with their chest cavities blown open. When I’m on TikTok on my lunch break, I see videos of men digging for loved ones in rubble. When I’m at home for the evening, I watch a video of a family mourning their lost loved ones. How do people act normal when this is happening? When our tax dollars are funding genocide? When the country we live in was built on genocide? I have no interest in my hobbies. I don’t want to celebrate the holidays. All I can do is think about how colonialism is killing people and the planet. I know that we must fight through the pain to make change. And I know that my pain can’t even compare to the people who are experiencing this violence. But, fuck, it still hurts. I don’t have any solutions. I just wanted to express my grief and say that if you are feeling similarly, you’re not alone, and we are going to make change.

From now until march, along with KOSA and support for trans folks/tumblr's transphobia, I'm only going to be reblogging posts about Palestine, Congo, Sudan and the potential other countries that I'm unaware of subjected to atrocities and genocides all at the same time (because just when you thought you've seen the depths of human vileness you learn about something else happening that makes you realise no you didn't). My blog's pretty small so this probably doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things, but since I didn't completely go through with the strike this time around I feel like the least I can do is this. General reminder to not stop talking about the genocides, donate if you can, write/call up your MPs, show support for the trans community and spread as much awareness as possible about all these issues mentioned. I’ll never be able to go back to a comfortable way of living anymore. Nor do I ever want to. I never want to pull the wool over my eyes again. The things I’ve seen & shared just via my mobile phone have shaken me & broken me down to levels I never knew was possible. I have always seen the world through a broken lens, I never thought in my life time that It could get any worse. However, the world has proven me wrong. Our governments are sick, vile beings that deserve no praise. Joe Biden only now providing aid to Palestinians. Is beyond cruel. Why did it take him so long to do this? He doesn't care & has never cared. This is just to save what little image he has left. Tarnished by his own wrongdoings in funding Israel’s barbaric genocide on not only Gaza but on Lebanon, Syria & Sudan. We watch as even the uk government doesn't care about the genocide in Palestine. It's sickening to watch this all unfold. I am deeply ashamed to be part of the UK. Rishi Sunak & Kiers Starmer are disgusting & vile. Kiers Steamer only cares about one thing and one thing only and that is to be the next prime minister. He is not for the people but for the wealthy & the rich. Rishi. Sunak’s speech last night was appalling. He is an unelected official, he was never voted in by the people. He is another disgrace of a prime minister that the UK has to suffer. The amount of awful Prime Ministers the UK has had to watch & deal with is far too many. Rishi Sunak & Keirs Starmer are the very people who are not uniting the UK they are breaking the UK. Our governments have never cared about the genocide in Palestine. From the river to the sea Palestine will be free and no, no matter what lies are being spread about this saying. It is not antisemitic.

Advocacy Project at school and the teach wants us to do in small assembly of tables. Im of course doing palestine so my PLAN is to have people buy a commision 5 bucks donation to e-sims or unrwa for goods/necessities.

my litmus test for having morals and ethics as a person on earth these days is you have to be sometimes right or wrong in other social media (twitter, reddit, tiktok, instagram, etc.) but always correct on tumblr. if you're always on X and Reddit and people like what you say, red flag.
