I highly recommend watching the videos of "Dusche" and "Tag mit Schutzumschlag", because that's how I discovered these two songs as a young teen! "Dusche" is about a paranoid man, who fears things in his house, thinking that they are conspiring to assassinate him. I was obsessed with it. While "Tag mit Schutzumschlag" seems a little cheesy now but for some reason this video creeped me out back then but at the same time I couldn't look away. 👀 🤷🏻♀️

"Fahrrad" is a light hearted song that is fun to sing along to and puts you in a good mood. 😊
I would love to add a song by Till Lindemann, too. I mean, it's not a Rammstein song, so... 😬
And last but not least, "Ding" by Seeed. Another song with a pretty interesting video that used to unsettle me a bit but also fascinated me because of the animation style. 🤓

Das Boot (1981). A German U-boat stalks the frigid waters of the North Atlantic as its young crew experience the sheer terror and claustrophobic life of a submariner in World War II.
It's always interesting to watch war films from the perspectives of the losing side, and WWII tends to generate particularly eviscerating ones. Like Land of Mine - another film I was profoundly affected by - Das Boot creates an unending sense of dread and tension, but where Land of Mine thrives in the open unknown, Das Boot excels in the claustrophia of the closed known. It's gutting and it feels senseless, which makes it a pretty perfect war film. 9/10.

Hey, ich suche jmd, der Lust hat, mit mir am 10. August zum Grönemeyer-Konzert in Karlsruhe zu gehen. Hab deinen Grönemeyer-Post gesehen, da dachte ich, ich versuchs einfach mal... The Boat (1981)
My rating: 7/10
You know, it never really occurred to me before just how weird it is that one of the most famous and critically acclaimed WWII movies features the Wehrmacht as, if not the good guys, at the very least the protagonists? I mean, think about it. All those quirky fun characters you meet in this are, essentially, Nazi soldiers. That's. That's weird, isn't it?
Of course, what's even weirder is that this 3 hour 20 minutes monstrosity with a singer-songwriter playing the viewpoint character actually really works.
