Singlehandedly one of my favorite pictures of Harry ever taken. What are your thoughts on it

This is it, uncropped, and my first reaction is that I just love the shrubbery of it all, the composition of the bush/shirt (bushirt). But I love a lot of other parts of it, too: I love Helene's eye and how it matches his (or rather, it doesn't match, but he literally hired her because she COULD match it, he consistently selected the shots she took that he would take), I love that he looks kinda pissed yet still soft (the complexity in the gaze/hand/setting vs. fake-o vacancy), but most of all, I love the hypocrisy, the self-own it caused among the lady-haters back in the day--I'm a petty bitch, it must be said! For those who missed it, when this picture first came out, it wasn't accredited, and lo, everyone who hated Helene and bitched about her constantly swooned mightily! This is good! We love it!!! Die, Helene, die!! But uh oh, when the credit was revealed, homminah homminah, time to back pedal mightily, and u had to laff (well, I did, rip to the hater "professional" who created a whole side blog, trying and failing to point out all of Helene's so-called photographic crimes)

like how something specific in game makes you think about your own personality, reflecting, forcing you to find out stuff that you wouldn't have a chance to otherwise

but ALSO how almost everyone i know have different personal experiences in game that i haven't -> our viewing in the end is kinda different (not a lot of people found that special connection kim and harry had which is just baffling to me)

like when i sent kim with the body away and he was gone for the rest of the day. i was really sad too, but did some personal stuff. i started to read the ledger by the end of the day and yeah harry passed out. i didn't know this could happen i was kinda scared myself. and then harry wakes up and i expect him to be alone and sad and miserable but kim's like. actually here. for harry. despite being somewhere else.

he rushed there. and i was just like sitting there. mouth agape.

and turns out no one knew this could happen?? somehow this wasn't how everyone else did it???? and it just made my whole life tbh it was so nice for some reason

I think the biggest thing that resonated for me, I can't remember what it was. I think it was -- maybe like the Emmy's or something and Michaela Coel won. And she said, like, don't confuse visibility with success. And I think it's so -- it can't be put better than that. And it's not an easy place to get to, because it's a world where we all just wanna be loved. And then inside that, like music, is an industry where everyone really wants to be loved really bad. And everyone's kind of like, gagging for it. And that kind of positive reinforcement [...] And I think what is so exciting and dangerous about it is that you put so much love into an industry that is so fickle. And it loves you back when you're doing well. And if you're not, you're just out. And it's like, it's understandable that it's really scary to go away and be like, you know, no one's talking about me, no one cares, all of that stuff, getting to that kind of place, like, I have to get onto social media and remind people that I'm alive or all of that stuff. And I just kind of feel like I did a lot of that kind of constant thing when I was in the band. And it's really kind of easy to brush off the pandemic, everything that happened and brush off the kind of 'oh it was a big time for self reflection and a lot of perspective changes and that stuff'' which everyone went through, to kind of go through 'oh I went through a big phase of self reflection and it's really kind of like, airy.' But that doesn't mean it's not true. [...] You're never gonna be up here forever so you better find something else that makes you happy. Because the best people who are truly, like, unicorns of music are the ones who do it, and then are gone. So you never see them anywhere else. And eventually they're up here, enough that when they come back it matters. For a really long time I was terrified of what my life was if I wasn't up here doing music, like on a show, doing something. And then you're faced with a time when you can't do that. It doesn't matter how much money you have, doesn't matter where you live, you can't travel, you can't do this, you can't go outside your house. It's like suddenly you're forced to not be this musician guy. You're forced to be a friend, and a brother and a son and all of those things. And I actually feel like I had a little bit of a chance to focus on that at least for a moment. And just stop and kind of take in a lot of stuff and remember things. You're kind of gifted this stolen time and you're like oh I can get a head start, I can stop making stuff. And I kind of stopped for a second and turned to, to listen to, what I was watching and all that stuff and was like, 'what does it actually mean to make something, and what does it mean to me to make something as a job'.
