Market Overview (2021-2026)
Forecast CAGR (2021-2026): 5 %
The increase in a number of government policies will increase the growth of the industry over the forecast period. Education and diagnostic services are provided by bodies such as the World Haemophilia Organization and governments in many countries. Government efforts to strengthen public health and treat vulnerable patients will fuel demand growth for haemophilia care in the near term. However, the high cost of haemophilia medicines will be one of the key factors impeding development. High spending, R&D, drug development and sales by manufacturers are factors that result in high drug costs. For middle-and lower-income families, high retail prices are unaffordable, limiting business growth.
Haemophilia Treatment Market Industry Definition and Major Segments
Haemophilia is an inherited medical condition that impairs the body’s ability to control coagulation or blood clotting. In this disorder, bleeding from the affected artery is poorly regulated by clotting factors; thus, coagulation does not occur.

I just read your Yandere vampire OM brothers and I was wondering what about yan vampire Lucifer and MC who has a blood clotting problem like they cut their hand or whatever and the blood keeps pouring nothing you dramatic bit still like Woah u good??? (don't feel forced to do this btw, also I love ur writing!!!)
hey anon!! I sorry for being this late to your request, I hope my writing is a fine apology for that.
Haemophilia is one such genetic disorder where the person's blood doesn't clot easily. Although it is a reccessive gene, you were born with one. It did not pose much threat to you due to the advances in medical treatment keeping you alive for so long, so you never worried too much about it.
You did worry about it when you were asked to come to Devildorm for one year. "One whole year?? How am I supposed to survive there!?" You somehow managed to purchase almost months and months of medicines in your little suitcase, but ofc you were bound to run out of supplies in the far future.
Today was one such day. You counted the leafs of medicines left, and all of them were empty. You were being reckless by not keeping an eye on the medicine, and now you have none. Worried, you were trying not to panic in your small cozy room. After taking deep breaths, you came to a conclusion that asking Lucifer to help in this situation would be the best. With that, you went to the kitchen to fulfill Beel's craving of eating your handmade food.
The pot boiling with water and the sound of you cutting the vegetables filled the kitchen. "You called for me? Sorry I was busy with some student council work" you turn your head towards the source of the sound, a soft smile conquring your lips as you meet your eyes with him. He, with a click in his step and his long, black clock hanging from his broad shoulders came up to you and engulfed you in a hug. " how have you been MC?" he spoke in your ear as you continued your chopping. "I am well Lucifer, and yes I did call for you. I need to go back to the human world."
"But why?"
"Because I need to- ouch!"
You took your eyes off of the food to look at Lucifer, which was a bad idea because you now have a cut on your finger from moving the knife wrong. It hurt a bit, but to Lucifer, it seemed as if you have lost half of your body's blood.
"How could you be so careless!? Show me your finger" You could see that his eyes have started to dilate, his fangs have started to appear. Yet he is not even thinking about drinking blood. Instead his eyes, althought appearing to be bloodlustly, are actually filled with concern.
"Did you eat your medicines??"
"Ah, about that...." you told him about not having them, and he sighed. "Well wait here, I have some with me. Don't move from your place and stop cooking" Before he left the kitchen he spoke some words and created magic that collected the blood dripping from your hand. Now you had a small bubble of blood floating in the air that was oozing out.
Lucifer came back within two minutes and handed you the medicine. " Thank you so much Luci, but what will you do with this bubble of blood?" He just gives you a knowing look and brings his tongue near the bubble. You blush slightly as he savours the exotic taste of your blood, the medicine acting fast and stopping the bleeding.
" Why are you blushing MC? Your blood is only for me to taste. Now sit down, grab a dessert from the fridge, and let me finish dinner"
PS: anon you did not mention if Lucifer and MC are in an established relationship or not so I tried to write it in a way that you can insert a romantic/platonic relation between them^^ and also thank you for supporting my writing I appreciate it^^

seeing some of you getting snotty about people not having first aid kits & first aid training without advising people on what they should have/what they should know is doing my nut in. without further ado:
First Aid Kits (what should be in yours)
If you’re going to uni/moving out of home, you really ought to have a first aid kit. Small first aid kits are fairly inexpensive and come with basic first aid supplies.
Included in my first aid kit is:
1 card of paracetamol tablets
1 card of ibuprofen tablets
A length of gauze bandage
1 tube of topical antiseptic (I use Savlon or Germolene)
1 tube arnica/bruise cream
30x plasters, assorted sizes
5x long strip plasters
10x antiseptic wipes
3x individually sealed small sterile gauze pads (7cm x 7.5cm)
4 sterile small adhesive dressings (7cm x 5.3cm)
it’s a good idea to also have an emergency card in your first aid kit, with the contact details for your next of kin and any health conditions written on it. They usually come as part of first aid kits anyway, and have a little clear plastic pocket to keep them in.
Also, remember to replenish whatever you use from your kit, and to keep an eye on expiration dates of medications/ointments.
Medication management
If you’re on medication long term (antipsychotics, antidepressants, statins, anticonvulsants, immunosuppressants, insulin etc.) you should have a two week overlap period; where possible, you should order a refill of your medication two weeks before your current supply runs out, so that if there are supply issues, you’re not going to be left hanging.
I’m aware this might not be possible for Americans owing to insurance and reassessment (I’m UK based, and just have to refill by filling out a form available in my GP’s office) and for those on controlled medications (opiates, methadone treatment for addiction, ADHD meds etc).
If you have medication that only requires use in emergent circumstances (ie. an EpiPen or an asthma inhaler), keep track of the expiration dates, and order a refill of your medication ahead of time. Better to have an extra inhaler knocking about for a couple of weeks than to really need one and not have it.
First Aid for Dummies & How to Get First Aid Training
Aif you’re ‘fresh out the womb’ new to first aid, or live somewhere where medical care is inaccessible, I highly recommend Where There Is No Doctor by David Werner and Carol Thuman, which gives step by step guides from scratches, scrapes and rashes up to emergent wound care. It’s not an exaggeration to say that that book kept me and my siblings alive for the first few years of our existencewhen we lived on the edge of the Kalahari 120 miles from the nearest hospital.
few bits and pieces of first aid I’ve picked up, both from training and being the world’s clumsiest son of a bitch:
Z-wrapping for wrists and ankles, especially if you’re prone to sprains. I don’t know how to explain this in a coherent way, so I’ve linked a video of how to do it.
For deep cuts or wounds that bleed a lot, you need to apply pressure and elevate the injury above the heart. It takes a nearly comically small amount of blood loss to become life threatening (blood loss equivalent to half a coke can is considered life threatening in adults) - if the blood is bright red, spurting/gushing, and the blood loss is uncontrolled, or if you have a clotting condition like haemophilia, you need to get to an urgent care centre yesterday. Call 999/911, maintain hard pressure over the wound, and keep the person calm and talking.
If someone has been stabbed an the knife is still in situ, for the love of God do not pull out the knife, or let them pull out the knife. It’s impossible to know what’s been hit without imaging, the knife acts as a seal in the wound; haemorrhage or massive internal injury are not situations you want to be dealing with outside of an acute trauma care setting. Call 999/911 immediately, and keep the injured person calm.
Learn how to recognise the signs of overdose. I went to a Midlands uni that had a reputation as a party uni, and hearing through the grapevine about ODs on nights out wasn’t uncommon. Narcan/Naloxone is a controlled substance in the UK so can’t be bought OTC, but I know it’s available to buy OTC in some parts of America and Canada. If you can, please consider carrying naloxone. If you witness an OD, call 999/911 immediately, and try to keep the person alert. If you have it, administer Narcan.
Don’t fuck with sepsis or meningitis. These diseases move fast, and can turn you into a past participle in as little as 12 hours. Get your MenACWY vaccine, know the symptoms, and call 999/911 immediately if you have the symptoms, especially if there’s been an outbreak in your area or you’ve had close contact with someone who is infected.
If you get bitten by a wild animal, (fox, bat, dog, raccoon…whatever) flushing the wound with water and then getting to A&E needs to become your number one priority. Tetanus, rabies and capnocytophaga infection are no joke: you need boosters/antibodies and antibiotics as a matter of urgency.
Finally, don’t be a hero. You are not John Wick. If someone is injured in an actively dangerous location or situation, the only thing you ought to do is call 999.
You really and truly don’t need to be able to pull a Hawkeye Pierce; the whole point of first aid is that it’s the first line of aid, and gets you to A&E or Minor Injuries so that you can receive professional medical attention.
That said, having a first aid training is incredibly valuable, both because you never know when some fuck shit is about to happen, and because by law most workplaces are supposed to have at least one first aider on staff, so it gives your CV an edge.
In the UK, the St. John Ambulance Trust offers workplace first aid certification, annual refreshers, sports first aid training, AED use & CPR certification and mental health first aid training.
You can also get personal first aid training for adults, children and babies with the British Red Cross for the cost of £37.50, as well as certified workplace first aid certification from £165.
The British Heart Foundation offer CPR training for free via their RevivR program; it takes 15 minutes, and can be used for workplace certification.

How can I help my Time Lady roommate track her artron levels? What can be done to raise or lower artron levels?
Ah, glad to hear of her settled on Earth! I hope you and her will find the following information useful:
🔬 Tracking Artron Levels
If your roommate brought with her from Gallifrey a specialised artron/lindos blood tester, she would be able to test her own levels of artron, much like a diabetic finger-prick check. For reference, levels of artron should be between around 9,000-12,000 mcl for an average Time Lord adult and levels outside of this range could indicate an underlying issue.
Otherwise, an indication in the fluctuation of artron levels are very much symptom-indicated:
👩‍🔬 Artron Deficiency (Hypoartronosis)
Symptoms of hypoartronosis could include (but are not limited to):
Impaired Healing: Slower wound healing and increased susceptibility to wound infections, potentially leading to secondary haemophilia (severely reduced ability to clot blood).
Weak Immune Response: More frequent illnesses due to the weakened state of the immune system.
Lack of Energy: Lower levels of artron result in fatigue or sluggishness.
Decreased Senses: Less sharpness in hearing, sight, smell, taste, touch, somatic and chronopsionic (time and psychic).
Low Mood: Low artron can affect emotional state, causing the Gallifreyan to have persistently low moods.
Very Red Blood: Gallifreyan blood has an orange tint to it due to the artron. If it's very, very red, this indicates low artron levels.
Urine Changes: Urine output will decrease and will be more yellow in colour (normal Gallifreyan urine is more orange).
🔋Artron Excess (Hyperartronosis)
Symptoms of hyperartronosis could include (but are not limited to):
Hyperactivity or Irritability: Heightened energy or emotional fluctuations, similar to bipolar disorder.
Delusions or Confusion: Reduced cognitive clarity.
Vomiting or Nausea: Gastrointestinal discomfort.
Increased Appetite: Unusually frequent hunger pangs.
Urine changes: Urine output will increase severely and be extremely orange.
🔄 Normalising Artron Levels
Artron levels will normally stabilise over time due to homeostasis and compensatory mechanisms, though several home remedies can help.
TARDIS Partnership: Forming a bond with a TARDIS will naturally help to maintain good artron levels through constant energy exchange.
TARDIS Support: In addition to a TARDIS connection, spending a few days in a bonded TARDIS can help to normalise levels.
Meditation: Meditation techniques are also considered effective in the treatment of these conditions.
(To Increase Levels) Do Some Time Travel: Absorbing background radiation from the time vortex increases artron and can be an effective and quick solution to hypoartronosis.
(To Decrease Levels) Expelling Energy: Expelling excess energy through the mouth or skin will help to lower levels. However, this should be done in a controlled environment and away from humans.
🏥 In some cases, medical intervention could be required:
Artron therapy: There are several medical devices and medications on Gallifrey which are regularly used in the treatment of these conditions.
Assisted healing coma: A healing coma can help to stabilise artron levels. However, this should be done in a safe environment with medical professionals who can assist in the sleep-wake cycle.
Regeneration: In extreme cases, a Gallifreyan medic may suggest a regeneration, as this resets artron back to default levels. However, this should never be done without consultation, as there are usually simpler ways to treat hypo and hyperartronosis.
🏫 So ...
Any excessive or prolonged changes in artron levels should be investigated further as they may be caused by other conditions. If you or your roommate are particularly worried about her artron levels, please encourage returning to Gallifrey for a checkup with a Gallifreyan medical professional as soon as possible, as there is currently no medical centre in the Sol system.
Hope that helped! 😃

LONDON (AP) — British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said Wednesday he was committed to paying out compensation swiftly to thousands of people affected by the country's infected blood scandal, which saw more than 2,000 patients die after contracting HIV or hepatitis from transfusions of tainted blood in the 1970s and 1980s.
But Sunak, who was testifying before an independent inquiry into the public healthcare scandal, was heckled by survivors and affected families when he did not give a clear answer on when full payments will be paid out.
The Infected Blood Inquiry was established in 2017 to examine how thousands of patients in the UK were infected with HIV or Hepatitis C through contaminated blood products in the 1970s and 1980s.
An estimated 2,400 to 2,900 people died in what is widely described as the worst treatment disaster in the history of Britain’s state-funded National Health Service.
The contaminated blood was linked to supplies of a clotting agent called Factor VIII, which British health services bought from the U.S. Some of the plasma used to make the blood products was traced to high-risk donors, including prison inmates, who were paid to give blood samples.
Hundreds of survivors and affected families — some of whom have worked for decades to lobby for government compensation — packed into a London hotel conference room Wednesday as Sunak gave evidence to the inquiry.
Sunak acknowledged that victims of what he called an “appalling scandal” had been let down by successive governments over the years.
“This is an appalling scandal that has gone on for decades,” Sunak told the inquiry. “This is not just about historic wrongs. People are suffering and being impacted today.”
“Over a succession of not just years, but decades, justice has been denied to people. They haven’t received the recognition that they need and deserve,” he added.
The government said last year that survivors and bereaved partners of those who died will receive 100,000 pounds ($129,000) in compensation.
The inquiry’s chairman, retired judge Brian Langstaff, recommended in April that compensation should be expanded to include more people whose lives were blighted by the scandal, such as parents who lost their children.
Sunak reiterated that authorities will wait for the inquiry's full report to be concluded before considering whether to extend the compensation plan for victims. The final report is expected later this year.
Clive Smith, chairman of the Haemophilia Society, said delays in the compensation have “only compounded the suffering of those who have been waiting for this for so long”.
“People who have waited 40 years expect to see a significant demonstration of political will and a commitment to get this done as soon as is practical,” Smith said.

On July 5th 1996 Dolly the sheep was born, the first mammal cloned from an adult cell.
When scientists working at the Roslin Institute in Scotland produced Dolly, she was only lamb born from 277 attempts, from those rom 277 cell fusions, 29 early embryos developed and were implanted into 13 surrogate mothers. But only one pregnancy went to full term, and the 6.6 kg Finn Dorset lamb 6LLS, that’s Dolly to you and I, was born after 148 days,  they never announced her birth for six months until February 22nd 1997.
Dolly the sheep was produced at the Roslin Institute as part of research into producing medicines in the milk of farm animals. Researchers have managed to transfer human genes that produce useful proteins into sheep and cows, so that they can produce, for instance, the blood clotting agent factor IX to treat haemophilia or alpha-1-antitrypsin to treat cystic fibrosis and other lung conditions.
This  was a major news story around the world, Dolly even appeared on the cover of Time magazine!
Dolly spent her whole life living in a flock of sheep at the Roslin Institute. She  had six lambs with a Welsh Mountain sheep named David. Their first lamb, Bonny, was born in the spring of 1998. Twins, Sally and Rosie, followed the next year and triplets, called Lucy, Darcy and Cotton, the year after that.
In the autumn of 2001, Dolly was seen to be walking stiffly. X-rays confirmed that Dolly had arthritis. It fuelled the suspicion that cloned animals were destined to age prematurely. The cause of the arthritis was never established but daily anti-inflammatory treatment resolved the clinical signs within a few months.
Dolly remained healthy until Monday 10 February 2003, when an animal care worker reported that he had noted her coughing. Full veterinary examinations and blood tests were conducted but failed to establish a diagnosis. A CT scan was carried out on 14 February 2003. The scan confirmed the team's worst fears: tumours were growing in Dolly's chest.
Since a general anaesthetic had been necessary to perform the CT scan it was decided that it would be best if Dolly did not regain consciousness and she was put to sleep at the age of six.
Dolly captured the public imagination and was donated to National Museums Scotland by the Roslin Institute. She has been on display at the Museum in Chambers Street Edinburgh since 2003 and is popular with visitors of all ages.

What's a random fact that you find absolutely *fascinating* that you never get the chance to talk to anyone about?
Rasputin's treatment of the prince's haemophilia was actually legit, it just didn't work in the way they thought it did
it wasn't because he was a healer blessed by god (I think - god, bestie, if I'm wrong, drop a fat million into my bank account as a sign and I'll apologise), it was through a mix of hypnotism and psychological effect!! basically, when the prince had some sort of injury and either began bleeding or the blood started pooling, he would panic, obviously, and panicking increases your heart rate, which makes the blood pump through your veins faster, which makes you bleed more, you see where it's going. anyway, so, the prince and his mother believed that Rasputin had these healing powers, and that's the psychological aspect: because he believed Rasputin would cure him, he calmed down, reducing the heart rate and blood flow, which was helped out by the hypnotism which put him to sleep (heart rate while you're asleep is lower). this belief was obviously strengthened each time it happened
this isn't really something you can bring up in the tearoom, though

What is the infected blood scandal and will victims get compensation?
Two main groups of NHS patients were caught up in the scandal. Firstly, haemophiliacs – and those with similar disorders – who have a rare genetic condition which means their blood does not clot properly, external. People with haemophilia A have a shortage of a clotting agent known as Factor VIII. People with haemophilia B don’t have enough Factor IX. In the 1970s, a new treatment was developed…
