Goromi Character Story
I really liked this one even if it was a pain in the ass to translate. Damn all that kansai slang! I have some pics to go with this one unlike the Goromi Event where I forgot to take any screencaps.
Character stories are split into three parts with a fight in each part, and this one will be a little more paraphrased because there’s a lot of back and forth dialogue that doesn’t matter too much. Here’s Goromi’s card!
Tumblr media
Summary: Turns out it takes several days for Kiryu to actually show up to club SHINE to meet Goromi (he’s busy!) so Goromi spends her time working there and taking care of problems. She’s not the number one hostess for nothing!
<Part 1> <Majima Goro, as Goromi, has been working at club SHINE for several days now> The shop manager has been having to deal with this and he doesn’t know what to do.
Tumblr media
Majima shows up again, as usual, and the manager fumbles over himself on whether to say Majima or Goromi
Tumblr media
He asks if Kiryu has shown up yet and Majima complains before heading to the back to get changed, where Goromi continues to complain that she’s a good woman and Kiryu is a horrible lazy bum for standing her up for so long. She’s bored to death! (I wonder, does Majima leave the Goromi outfit at the club or take it with home each time?)
A rowdy customer comes in and makes a scene and Goromi steps in to wallop on him, because she’s bored and he spilled a drink on her dress.  <Fight Happens> Goromi wins, easily, and makes him leave his wallet. The manager pulls her into the backroom to tell her that she can’t fight customers. Goromi counters that she can’t allow a threat to women to go unchecked.
Tumblr media
Another hostess on the floor shouts at a customer to stop because touching is forbidden. Goromi says that sounds like trouble, she might as well handle it since Kiryu hasn’t shown up yet. The manager says absolutely not, those are Sakamoto Family men (probably, it’s not spoken out loud but Sakamoto is the most common reading).
The manager goes out to deal with it and gets hit by a Sakamoto Family goon for his trouble, but the guy leaves. Turns out the Sakamoto Family has been showing up a lot and never paying, and it’s a real pain. Goromi tells him to get his act together and fight back already! The manager says there’s no way he can win, going along with them is the best way to protect the club. Goromi calls him a coward, and leaves. <Part 2>
<the next day> Majima once again shows up and has a brief struggle with the wig until... Tada! A perfect Goromi~❤️
Tumblr media
Goromi is certain Kiryu-chan will show up today! He definitely will! ...Why the hell hasn’t he shown up yet? She notices yet another unruly customer, once again a Sakamoto Family goon, hassling the manager, but this time she just watches. The manager tries to explain that the rules clearly state you aren’t allowed to touch the hostesses, and gets hit for it again. He stands back up, repeats himself, and gets punched another time. The goon grabs the hostess and says they’re going to the bathroom together.
Goromi steps in to stop him, but the manager beats her to it, and finally hits the guy back. He’s remembering what Goromi-san said to him... He’s not going to run away!!
Tumblr media
<Fight Happens>
Manager gets his ass KICKED, goon taunts him and says he’d never win in a million years. Manager gets back up anyways, tells him he has to leave... just in time for the patriarch of the Sakamoto Family to arrive. He’s heard this is a fun place, and wants to sit with a lady ASAP. His goon shouts at the manager, the manager fumbles, and Goromi steps in.
Sakamoto thinks this is just great, that eyepatch is really getting his fighting spirit going! His lackey is less sure. The manager tries to step in, Goromi cuts him and says she’ll be his hostess tonight. Sakamoto is falling over himself trying to offer Goromi a seat, he’s just smitten.
Tumblr media
The manager wonders what Goromi is up to...
<Part 3>
We start off immediately with Sakamoto telling Goromi how cute she is, and how much he likes her, and that she’s got a real tight lil butt.
Tumblr media
“Stoooop~, ya pervy patriarch❤️”
Tumblr media
Sakamoto says he really like Goromi, too many girls nowadays would throw a fit if he grabbed their ass. The manager is wondering what the hell is going on, why is Goromi being so nice??
Sakamoto asks what kind of men Goromi likes. She likes strong, beefy guys, of course! Sakamoto says that she’s gonna love him then. Sakamoto: I was the strongest guy in his whole town! I’ve heard that the strongest guy in Kamurocho’s the patriarch of the Majima family, some moron named Majima Goro. Goromi: Oh, is that so? Sakamoto: I’m pretty sure him being crazy strong’s just a silly rumor though. If I were up against him it’d be like beating up a baby. Goromi: Woahhhh, that’s so cool~ 🎵 All that strength is really making my heart beat fast~
Sakamoto lets Goromi order whatever she likes from the menu. The manager worries that she’s going to order a fight! But no, she just asks for Don Perignon, the most expensive thing on the menu. And she convinces him to get 10 bottles of it.
<2 hours pass>
Sakamoto: Bahaha! Goromi-chan, you're the best girl of them all! Goromi: Before ya go I got one more thing for ya Mr. Patriarch! Sakamoto: Ehhhh, is it a kiss~ Goromi: It's your bill! Sakamoto: Ah....? Haha, great joke Goromi-chan! Goromi: It ain't no joke! Between the drinks and the service... you've racked up 5 million yen. How would ya like to pay that?  Sakamoto: Now hold on, I ain't payin' that! Even if you're cute!! Goromi: Eh, you really won't pay? Sakamoto: No! I absolutely will not pay!! Goromi: So that mean's you're not a customer now, is that right?
Tumblr media
Goromi: Since you're not a customer, Goromi can be a little... rough Sakamoto: Tch, boys, let's teach this lady a little discipline! Goromi: Discipline....? Idiots, Goromi is the butterfly that dances in the night. I don't take orders from anyone, especially morons like you!! <Fight Happens, Goromi obliterates them> Sakamoto: You, you're actually...! Goromi: What are ya talking about? I'm Goromi, Kamurocho's number one hostess. Goromi: If you disrespect the women of this city... I'll show you a world of hurt. Sakamoto: W-Wahhhhh!! P-Please forgive me!! Goromi: From now on you're banned. Don't let me see your face here again. Got it?  Sakamoto: Y-yes ma'am! I understand! P-Please excuse me... Goromi: Wait. You still got a bill to pay. Sakamoto: Wh- um, well, I don't have that much right now... Goromi: Haw? Then why'd you eat and drink so much! You got some nerve takin' whatever ya fancied. But... I could forgive ya if you go on an after hours date with me. Sakamoto: ...Eh? Goromi: Until the money's collected, we're going on dates. ...Be prepared.
<the next day> Manager: Majima-san, thank you so much. Goromi: Eh? What're you talkin' about. This is just Goromi gettin' paid properly for her work. Manager: Ah. I see. Goromi: And... I'm glad you stood up for your girls. Ya finally showed your guts. You've got a real good crew here, keep workin' to be the best. Manager: Th-thank you so much! Uhuuuuuu! Goromi: Don't get all emotional and cry! I'm countin' on having your full cooperation when it comes to fighting Kiryu-chan! Manager: Yes ma'am! By all means.   Door Greeter: Maji- I mean, Goromi-san! K-Kiryu-san is coming here!! Goromi: Ohh, nice timing! Well, let's do this thing! Manager: Yes! <Goromi goes to greet Kiryu at the door> Goromi: Heyyy, it's Goromi~
<END>
Another bonus fact that relates to both this and the event: the rggo twitter put up a poll asking everyone which of these girls was their favorite
(Lady that does the gatcha rolls, Mayumi from rggo’s story, Yuki, and badly photoshopped Goromi)
Tumblr media
in a shock to no one reading this, Goromi obliterated the vote, coming in just shy of 80%...
Tumblr media
...which was apparently a shock to the staff! They immediately tweeted "Goromi got 80%...! What a crazy result 😵 We're having an emergency planning meeting now. Thank you all for voting so much!"
I have to wonder if this was a turning point in how they wrote Goromi, with the event and substory presenting her as not strictly a one off occurrence! Maybe the fan enthusiasm got them to take her a little more seriously

As yourself
Fandom: Yakuza Rating: E Warnings: Mild gender issues Relationships: Kiryu Kazuma/Majima Goro Characters: Kiryu Kazuma, Majima Goro Additional Tags: Genderfluid Majima Goro, Trans Kiryu Kazuma, Identity Issues, Fluff, Fluff and Smut, Oral Sex, Anal Sex Summary:
Kiryu has the feeling that there's more to Goromi than what Majima originally let on...
He's right.
(Also on AO3)
Majima’s glad that, after the shock of their first “date”, Kiryu has been indulging him and his need to be himself, or better, herself.
Goromi is a relic of a past that feels ancient, of a time when he was still figuring himself out, when he and she - yes, both - were happy. Goromi has been his first step into admitting to his feminine side, a way to let it out; what was just a drag character because a second identity, then, with time, was fused to his previous one.
In a fairer world, she would’ve been able to thrive just as much as he does, but she was taken away from him, brutally beaten into submission, and so she became a character again, just a joke from silly ol’ Majima. Not that he’d ever show her to anyone, not even as a joke, or at least this is what he’d tell himself… until he decided he was going to make sure that Kiryu could get back in shape.
Maybe it’s because of the masochist in him that he decides to dust off Goromi, but Kiryu, bless his heart, Kiryu understands: after seeing Majima trying to mask how much it hurt when he said Goromi isn’t a real woman, he understood her immediately, because he’s had the same struggle, but in reverse.
After their fight, Kiryu promises himself that this won’t be the last time he’ll see Goromi.
It’s a bit because of his projecting - how much effort he had to put on his appearance in order to get everyone to call him a boy, and how painful that process had been in its early stages, getting better only because of Kazama-san and Nishiki’s support - and a bit because, well, with everything else that is happening, he wants to do one kind thing, because he desperately needs something positive.
He texts Majima, one of the few times it’s not the other way around, and invites him to hang, but he adds that Goromi can come too.
At first Majima deflects with his usual jokes - “has Kiryu-chan fallen in love?” - but he does present himself wearing a slightly longer bodycon than the last, and he’s wearing a long black wig. His face is still unshaven, and to be honest, Kiryu likes it quite a lot.
He bets that Majima was expecting a fight - though is Kiryu really one for these tactics? - but it never comes. Instead, they have a great time: they eat ramen, they get plastered, they sing karaoke, they go shoot the shit at the baseball cage.
They even kiss, a half-drunk attempt to make out against the wall of one of the myriads of Kamurocho’s dirty corners.
They end it with the promise of doing this again, but only if Majima remains true to what he - or she when she feels like it - is.
In all this, Kiryu doesn’t reveal his cards immediately, because unlike what everyone else seems to think, he’s not naïve. He wants to be sure he’s got Majima figured out right before opening up as well.
It takes more than just a few dates before they begin to be honest with each other.
Ironically, the moment they begin doing it is during the hardest period of Kiryu’s life, right after the explosion at the Millennium Tower. Kiryu’s so desperate for some sort of connection that he begins opening up to Majima - not to Haruka, because he doesn’t want to add his baggage to the heavy one she’s already bearing - and in turn, Majima begins admitting a few things of his own, namely his relationship with Goromi.
It feels nice having finally revealed themselves, if not also exposing, but they both intend on keeping this precious fragile thing for themselves.
Kiryu still refers to Majima as a man, especially in front of his men, but in private, Goromi comes out to play quite often, having found a safe haven where she can be herself.
Maybe one day Majima will be able to define himself a woman without Goromi as an intermediary, but for now this is what he’s comfortable with. It’s a process, after all.
With this relationship, though, comes a new desire.
Not that their fights weren’t already quite heated, but sometimes - Kiryu more often, Majima less - they want to skip the fighting part altogether and get to the main event.
“What? You want me to come over? What about the kid?”
Weird that Majima isn’t jumping at the occasion of being alone with Kiryu, but he supposes his worries are fair.
“She’s with Date,” he explains. “At least he knows something about parenting.”
Not that he knows that much either, but Kiryu is still learning, and sometimes things get too overwhelming for him and Haruka both, thus these “sleepovers” at Date’s or Rina’s - she’s been of great help too.
There’s a beat, then Majima responds. “Alright, I’m coming. But I’m going to come as myself, ya alright with that?”
“Of course,” Kiryu nods. As if he’d take it any other way.
“Then wait for me. I’ll be over in a sec.”
Indeed, it doesn’t take long for Majima to arrive at Kiryu’s house.
There’s a knock on his door, and Kiryu goes to open… only to get his jaw to the floor as he looks at the person in front of him: Majima’s wearing a short cream halter dress that exposes his chest and makes it look like boobs, accompanied by a dark brown belt resting on Majima’s hips. His legs are partially covered by long pantyhose, cream colored as well.
It’s quite weird to see Majima wearing something like this, without his loud colors and patterns - even the necklace and earring are quite simple - but Kiryu can’t say he minds. Majima could wear only a trash bag and he’d still find a way to make it work.
There’s only one question: Majima has said that he was going to come as himself, and yet this looks more like Goromi to Kiryu, even though Majima’s not wearing any wig, like he’d usually do in that kind of situation. So, what’s the deal?
“Goromi?” he can’t help but to ask.
Majima furrows his brow and shakes his head. “I said I was coming as myself, wasn’t I?”
So it means that… oh. Kiryu understands.
He smiles and lets Majima inside.
There are many things he would want to ask him about this - when she finally understood, what made her decide - but no words come to him; so what he does instead is taking Majima’s hand, gently kissing each of its knuckles.
Majima, however, scoffs. “Didn’t come here for the mushy shit, ya know?”
Kiryu knows he’s doing it just to mask how much the “mushy shit” gets to her, so he pouts, because Majima hates seeing him like that.
“I’m treating you the way you should be treated…” he mutters then.
Majima remains silent for a moment, and even though she rolls his eyes, her voice sounds softer when she speaks.
“If you’re so dead set into treating me like a queen fine, but let’s do it in the bedroom.”
“So bossy,” Kiryu can’t help but to comment, but he still lets Majima take him by the wrist and guide him to the bedroom, as if this was her house and not his. Well, she knows her way around well enough.
Until they get to the bedroom, Kiryu lets him do his thing, but once they’re inside the desire he’s been barely keeping under control resurfaces, and he turns Majima around so that he can kiss her, sliding his tongue between her lips, which are parted in surprise by such a sudden gesture. Not that Majima minds, seeing how quickly she gets into it, pressing her hips flush to Kiryu’s and grinding against him, snaking her arms around his neck.
Suddenly more impatient than he thought he’d be, Kiryu guides Majima to the bed, without his lips leaving hers though, which makes for a bit of fumbling, but eventually they both fall on the mattress safely.
Kiryu touches everything his hands can reach; he’ll never get enough of Majima’s body, and the way this dress hugs it, showing off all the most important assets… it makes for such a pretty picture that Kiryu almost feels bad about ruining it, but he wants to so bad, and that’s why, when he pulls away, there’s a plea spilling out of his lips.
“Goro… let me fuck you.”
A shiver run through Majima’s spine at those words.
“Yes,” she moans, grinding against Kiryu once again. “Do you still have that little thing I got you?”
That little thing being a harness that Kiryu can use to fuck him. It’s been plenty used already.
Kiryu nods - as if he’d ever lose it - and he immediately goes to retrieve it, having hidden it in the wardrobe under his clothes, afraid that someone else - namely Haruka - might find it and ask him questions about it.
He fumbles a bit with his clothes, figuring that it would be better to put it on right now, than doing it later when speed would be of the essence.
As soon as he has enough money to buy something for himself, he swears he’s going to buy one of those strapless things Majima has shown him once. They seem easier and faster to put on than this. It always makes Kiryu feel like he’s losing time, but at least now they haven’t even started yet, so the loss is minimal.
Once he’s done, he raises his gaze towards Majima, and notices that she too has gotten undressed. Good, it’ll make them lose less time.
He gets back to the bed, finding his place between Majima’s legs, and leans down to kiss him again, resuming the wandering of his hands as if there hasn’t been no interruption whatsoever. By the way she leans into the touch, Majima must appreciate it - she always loves it when he gives her attention.
Her little friend seems to appreciate it too, as Kiryu feels it twitch against his stomach. He smiles, slowly lowering one hand to reach it; he closes his fingers around her shaft, gently pumping it.
“Let me help you,” he whispers in her ear, enjoying the way she melts under his touch.
“Fuuuuuck,” Majima can’t help but to moan, body shivering and twitching. “Hurry up Kiryu-chan.”
Normally, Kiryu would drag this longer - he has more patience than Majima - but this time things are different: this time he can’t wait to have Majima, to make her scream his name.
“Lube,” he mutters, then. Luckily he barely has to reach towards the nightstand to find it - since Majima was coming over, he left it there knowing that he would need it fast.
He’s going faster than usual in the way he’s preparing Majima, a finger quickly becoming two and then three. She can feel the stretch and the burning, but she doesn’t complain about it one bit; after all, what’s love without a bit of pain?
Kiryu knows this, but he’s always tried to hold back, figuring that they already hurt each other enough during their fights, though he can’t deny that he likes how Majima’s voice shakes when he speaks, or the way his body trembles.
He covers her neck with kisses, suddenly biting down on the soft skin. Majima almost jumps out of the bed, but Kiryu holds her down.
“That’s unfair…” she whines, though Kiryu knows he loves it.
Just to tease him some more, he crooks his fingers up, and this time Majima moans. “Kiryu-chaaaan!”
“What?” Kiryu asks, feigning innocence, though it all crumbles when Majima turns to him with a pleading gaze.
“C’mooooon I wanna get fucked!” she exclaims in fact. “I’m tired of waiting!”
“Me too,” Kiryu agrees. He wants to get to the main event too.
He withdraws his fingers, wiping them on the bed covers - he’ll wash them later - and he gets the lube again, pouring it onto the dildo fixed to his harness.
“Lemme help you,” Majima drawls, stretching one hand so that she’s holding Kiryu’s cock, moving it up and down to spread the lube around.
Kiryu holds in his breath as he watches the way she moves, rapt by it. Just looking at it is doing things to him; he can only imagine what it would be like to actually feel it.
“Turn around,” he says then, because this little show of hers has made him want to continue even more than he already did.
Hearing the tone of his voice - so commanding - Majima can’t help but to chuckle in a way that makes Kiryu understand that his main objective what to rile him up, and he succeeded.
“Aye aye~” she says, eagerly turning around, making Kiryu stop in his tracks to admire her tattoo. He moves only to trace some of the lines with his fingers, a featherlike touch that makes Majima shiver and turn her head towards Kiryu, a cheeky smile on his face.
“Are ya gonna breed me?” she asks, jiggling her ass against Kiryu’s plastic cock. “Get me all preggers?”
“Nee-san,” Kiryu huffs. “You know that’s not possible…”
“Come on Kiryu-chan! It’s just some dirty talk,” Goromi replies, trying to push her hips further against Kiryu, only to be locked in place by his hands on her hips.
“I’d rather you not say something like that…”
“Such a spoilsport…” Majima mutters, turning her head straight again. “Could you at least put it in or do I-- fuck!”
Kiryu chuckles, while she greets her teeth. Of course the fucker would wait for her to be distracted in order to begin pressing inside.
“You were saying?”
His voice is so smug that Majima almost turns them around so that she can show him who’s in charge, but she decides she’ll let it slide this time.
“Just fuck me.”
“Yes ma’am.”
True to his word, Kiryu begins to truly fuck Majima, holding back nothing as he pushes deeper and deeper.
He grabs Majima by the back of the neck and forces him down, cheek smothered against the pillow. She sputters something that Kiryu doesn’t understand - his words are too tangled for him to decipher them - and her legs shake at his assault, but since she makes no move to stop him, Kiryu keeps going.
His gaze is low, staring at the point where the dildo vanishes inside Majima, stretching him out, moving then to Majima’s back, watching enchanted at the way his tattoo seems to almost become alive from the way the muscles underneath move. Majima truly is a spectacle for the eyes.
Then Majima shakes and she screams, and Kiryu knows that he’s found that spot that makes her see stars. With that knowledge, he begins ramming his cock inside keeping that same angle, provoking another reaction out of Majima, who does his best to reach behind him to grab Kiryu’s legs, pushing him forward so that he can feel him even deeper.
“Faster, god, faster!” she begs him, and Kiryu cannot find it in himself to refuse her demands, picking up the pace until she’s sobbing.
He presses his chest against her back, pinning her to the mattress. This close he can see how red Majima’s face has begun, with the blush spreading even to his nape and part of his shoulders. Cute.
 “Say my name.”
“Kir--”
“I said my name,” Kiryu corrects her.
Something in Majima’s gaze softens, and she can barely keep at bay his voice.
“K-Kazuma!”
Kiryu groans, a reaction elicited partly from hearing Majima say his name, partly from the desperation in his voice.
She’s close, he can tell, and what kind of lousy partner would he be if he didn’t give her a hand?
As he wraps his finger around Majima’s cock again, he’s rewarded by a long series of expletives as she shivers and cries out, edging closer and closer to the edge.
Again, the thought of how this must feel like hits Kiryu again.
He closes his eyes, imagining what it would be like to actually feel Majima around him. Would he be clenching around him right now? Trying to get him stuck, unable to leave? Would she feel warm?
Oh, the thought is enough to get him drenched.
 “Kazumaaaaa!”
Majima’s voice is enough to snap Kiryu out of his daydreaming, and his gaze moves to her face. He can’t help but to kiss her.
The angle is awkward and they have to bend in a not-so-comfy way for it, but it doesn’t matter, not when Majima’s lips taste so sweet. Even considering all the sexual acts they’ve ever done, nothing beats kissing; it’s something that Kiryu would happily spend the rest of his lifetime doing.
It’s when he begins to feel his hand getting wet that he realizes that Majima’s coming. He doesn’t stop moving though, intending to milk every single drop of cum out of her; besides, the sounds Majima’s making against his lips are too good, and Kiryu wants to hear more of them.
Just because he can, he keeps at it even after it’s beginning to become painful, but that’s just because he knows Majima’s into it. He pulls away from her lips, kissing her cheeks, her neck, her shoulders, whispering how good she is, whispering to be patient just a moment longer, that it’ll be over soon, that he loves her.
When he finally stops, Majima completely crumbles on the bed, uncaring that she’s landed right on the puddle she made with his own cum.
“You’re such a dick…” he manages to whisper as she catches her breath.
“But you love it,” Kiryu retorts, and he can’t help a small smirk when Majima replies that damn straight she does.
“Doesn’t make you less of a dick,” she continues, but he’s smiling, so he doesn’t really mean it.
Once she’s found enough strength to do so, he turns around, and only then Kiryu joins her, pressing his body against hers but in a manner that isn’t aggressive or assertive. He just wants to be close to him.
They kiss, softly, but then Kiryu hisses when a sneaky hand manages to find its way between his legs and under the strap, feeling the wetness between his folds.
“Mmmmh someone’s happy,” Majima comments once they pull away from the kiss.
“Well…” Kiryu begins, but gets shushed soon.
“Shut up and take a seat. I’ll take care of you.”
Kiryu has never moved faster, though he tries to take the spot next to Majima and remove his harness at the same time, and useless to say he’s a bit clumsy with it. Thankfully after a small chuckle, Majima takes pity on Kiryu and helps him slide the harness down, leaving it on the other side of the bed; for now, they won’t need it.
As he observes Majima settling between his legs, and hungry gaze in his eye, he can’t help but to swallow, and he feels his thighs twitch when she caresses them.
“Someone’s eager,” Majima comment, and just like Kiryu did with her before, he waits until he’s about to speak before lowering himself, tongue out, and flickers Kiryu’s clit.
“Ah!” the other moans, not expecting things to go so fast, but after that Majima goes slower, deciding to build up his tempo rather than going hard and fast from the start.
She begins by circling Kiryu’s clit, getting him all relaxed before alternating it with some more aggressive licks, beginning up and going down, parting his folds - god he’s practically dripping - and then going up again, this time closing his lips around the sensitive nub and sucking.
“Nee-san!” Kiryu moan, hips bucking up like he wants to get more. He doesn’t deserve to be teased like this, not after having given Majima his everything.
Majima stops in her tracks, which makes Kiryu opens his eyes - when did he close them? - and look down at him. He wants to ask him why she stopped, but the look on her face makes him reconsider.
“Something’s wrong?”
“… I like it when you call me nee-san,” Majima admits, before diving between Kiryu’s legs again, eating him out even faster than before, which makes Kiryu reach for the first thing he can grab onto, which is Majima’s hair, body tensing for the ever-growing intensity of the pleasure he’s feeling.
“Nee-san, nee-san, nee-san!” Kiryu exclaims, almost like a chant, the pressure inside him building up and building up and building up… until Kiryu finds his release.
He groans, arching his back and shakingly riding Majima’s tongue until it becomes too much. Only then he lets himself fall back on the mattress, boneless.
Majima makes a great show of cleaning his chin with the back of her hand - there are juices everywhere - before sending a cheeky grin Kiryu’s way.
“Thanks for the meal,” he says. Kiryu rolls his eyes, but at this point he expects this kind of behavior - he’s gotten used to it.
Majima chuckles, crawling then on top of Kiryu and collapsing on him, keeping him close in a hug that is immediately returned.
It’s quiet, but Kiryu can still sense in the silence that there’s something more: he could hear the gears turning inside Majima’s head from miles away.
“What’s wrong?” he asks, knowing that, if he doesn’t, Majima could very easily not tell him anything.
“Nothing’s wrong,” Majima replies, turning his head so that, instead of keeping it squished between Kiryu’s pecs, she’s facing him. “I really like it when you call me nee-san.”
“You said that earlier too…” Kiryu observes. It wasn’t the first time he called her that by a long shot, so he wonders why she’s saying it now. Does it have to do with the fact that she seems to have incorporated Goromi in himself?
Before he can ask, however, Majima derails the subject.
“Though you can call me anything and I’d still open my legs for you,” he says, a grin on his lips.
Kiryu huffs a laugh, but the fact that he’s found that comment amusing doesn’t stop him from getting them back on track. Usually he wouldn’t even push her to talk like this, but he feels that he needs to know, so that they can all be on the same page. “So, what caused this change?”
Majima shrugs. “Dunno, felt right.”
Well, this isn’t exactly what Kiryu wanted to hear, but he supposes that it’s better than nothing.
“As long as you’re happy with yourself, that’s good,” he says then, smiling.
Majima smiles as well, before squishing his face between her hands. “Awwww you’re such a softie! Like a marshmallow~”
“I’m not,” Kiryu frowns, though it comes muffled, and the fact that Majima’s still holding him like that certainly doesn’t help his statement.
Oh well, he can’t say he minds when Majima pulls him closer and smooches him.
Neither of them seems very inclined in parting, and they keep kissing and kissing and kissing again, and they will continue until they’re out of breath.
It still feels surreal to be able to share this with someone else, to be able to be themselves without having to hide anything, but they’re both grateful for it.
Majima feels whole again. For once, he doesn’t have to pretend to be someone she isn’t. She can be himself.
Deep down he knows she doesn’t deserve this, that Kiryu’s too good for her, but if there’s something Kiryu’s good at, is to make him believe that he is a better person than she actually is, so for now she pushes the self-loathing and feelings of inadequacy down, leaving place only for that special happiness that comes with feeling whole again.
… She’s truly a lucky gal.

Hey! You ever end up doing essay on the kazumaji gifs? (I'm highly interested because it's always majima o' clock where I live)
it’s always majima o’clock here too; maybe we live in the same area... but lmao i didnt write the essay on my kazumaji gifs because i didnt think anyone would want to hear it so i meant it more as a per request kind of deal. and you’re requesting. I want you to know you did this to yourself, my friend
below the read more for everyone’s well being. welcome to my first official majima analysis essay
ok so in those tags i said something like majima is softest with kiryu because it is absolutely the truth (unless you count makoto, which i love them too, but majima has moved on or at least is making an effort to. and that was pre-tacky snake skin jacket and pre-mad dog persona.)
the prompt for the gifset was “maybe something about majima being stupid and unhinged but like, in a sweet way” and the whole point of this rambling is that kiryu is really the only one we see who causes the mad-dog persona to slip. kiryu says he can never get a read on majima but just because he is unpredictable doesn’t mean he doesn’t understand that he isn’t just batshit crazy. he trusts majima, and finds comfort in his lack of predictability, keeping kiryu’s life exciting and providing distraction from the insane amount of tragic shit that happens to kiryu. and majima has a similar experience of idolizing the yakuza lifestyle as teens/young adults only to have the yakuza drag them through hell. But this is supposed to be about Majima.
ANYWAY what GETS ME is again that mad-dog vibe slipping around kiryu. the only time we really only see it again is with Saejima when he comes back from jail. i’m gonna talk about that later too. LET’s GET TO THE GIFS i’m going in chronological order not the order i put them in
1)
Tumblr media
Ok so as an audience, we don’t really know what happened between Kiryu and Majima between Yakuza Zero and Yakuza/Yakuza Kiwami. Yes, we get that tiny ending scene of Majima going KIRYU-CHAN for the first time and Kiryu smiling at him. But we are given nothing as to how they met or why Majima started calling him Kiryu-chan. It is left completely to the audience’s interpretation. Because then it goes straight to the first scene with Majima in Yakuza/Yakuza Kiwami after Kiryu gets out of jail. It implies that they already knew each other, and arguably that they were somewhat close -- close enough for Majima to “miss him.” (What was majima doing for those 10 years, i don’t know, but he clearly wasn’t in a great place, missing both kiryu, makoto, and saejima, we ignore y5 lore in this household or make up shit to fill in the giant gaps) You could argue that Majima missing Kiryu is just Majima being “crazy haha woah” but his character is so much deeper than that, and it’s proven in this gif’s scene. Yes he is fighting Kiryu with all his men. But if you are reading this you understand that them fighting physically all the time is a secret love language. They never intend to severely hurt each other. Fighting is how they know that they have an equal, someone else who was modeled into a weapon because of the Tojo Clan.
And yes, “He belongs to me!” is an extremely gay thing to say. He doesn’t even need to say that, though. One of his men didn’t understand that he doesn’t actually want to hurt Kiryu. The guy picked up Majima’s knife and tried to actually hurt Kiryu. Majima willingly gets stabbed so Kiryu doesn’t get hurt. That’s a handful of gay subtext right there. Majima’s first scene in y1 is about how the world is a horrible, shitty place that will chew you up and spit you out if you care. Then he goes and gets stabbed. Self-sacrificially. He cares about Kiryu, even if it hurts.
2)
Tumblr media
This one isn’t as deep. It stems of the same concept of them fighting each other as equals. Majima explicitly says more than once that strength is the most admirable trait, Goromi says that it only matters that a man is strong. Kiryu is the only person who presents a challenge to him. He admires him.
3)
Tumblr media
(As a disclaimer, I know a lot of people are uncomfortable with Goromi. I’ve also seen a lot of non-binary, gender-fluid, etc. people project on Goromi and Majima, and I feel like that can only be a good thing. Obviously they deserve more and more quality representation. I think the people who dislike Goromi are valid as well, but for the sake of this argument we are going to see Goromi as the people who project on her do and I’m going to use she/her pronouns when talking about Goromi.)
Regardless on your stance on this whole little side quest, the player has the choice to go along with Goromi which creates actually a lot of subtle connecting between the two of them. Even in just talking to her, we see the mad-dog mask slip. She talks about how much she cared about the girls at Club Shine and wonders how they’re doing. Literally says “all part of my tragic-ass backstory.” And Kiryu sympathizes with it. Says he sees through the “i hated it” bullshit and sees Majima/Goromi’s true self, which is that the cabaret job was hard for Majima because he cared about the women and didn’t like using them as a source of income and knew it would be his fault if they got hurt.
Also, Goromi says that "When I’m with a guy, it’s all about if I’m having enough fun. That’s why he’s gotta be strong.” Sound like someone we know? Someone who we are talking about in the last gif with i-just-got-the-shit-beat-out-of-me-and-it-was-awesome bliss on his face?
Anyway, the scene in the gif is near the end of the session. Kiryu is talking about how he’s been in prison for 10 years, and Goromi says that now that he’s out he should try to relax and and a little fun. Arguably, “since you’re so lonely right now, I’m gonna give ya a hand!” is most of Majima’s role in YK1. Kiryu gets out of prison. Majima wants to fight him all the time and says it’s because he’s gone soft and needs to train. Majima Everywhere presents excitement in his life when everything else is hard and shitty and traumatizing. Yes, Majima kidnapped Haruka. But there isn’t a lot of info on that. Majima says he did it so they could fight but it very likely could have been an order from the Tojo Clan or even Nishiki. Until he develops a bond with Haruka, Majima is, in a way, all he has. Nishiki is mean now. Yumi is ???. Kazama is i don’t even remember but he certainly isn’t any emotional support. He’s lonely. Majima is the only person he has from before prison, and quite possibly the only person who understands what he is going through.
4)
Tumblr media
YK2, Kiryu has yeeted out of Majima’s life as Kiryu does, but he’s trying to protect haruka so I’ll let it slide. And what does Majima do now that Kiryu’s not there? Leaves the Tojo Clan. Yes it’s because he doesn’t like the 5th chairman’s style and to make up for Kawamura, but the point is he’s bored. The use of “MY Kiryu-chan” is obviously written there because “haha majima he’s crazyyy” but come on. Majima left the Tojo Clan after Kiryu stepped down as the 4th chairman. Because he was bored. Because he couldn’t trust his own men. The only person he considered an equal just wasn’t there anymore and he found it difficult to adjust. (That’s YEARNING, fellas)
So yes, HIS Kiryu-chan came home, but what is home in this context? It clearly isn’t the tojo clan, so I guess it could be Kamurocho in general. But if the clan doesn’t make it home, what does make it home? Perhaps a certain triangle shaped man??
5)
Tumblr media
Oh boy silly Majima wants to fight Kiryu again hahaha weeeeeeeee NO listen, LISTEN, he does want to fight kiryu again, because 1) the man has been bored for a year 2) FIGHTING IS THEIR LOVE LANGUAGE 3) Majima is once again surprising Kiryu in a world where nothing surprises him anymore, where kiryu expects people to be vile and only want him for gain. Every single goddamn game it’s “Kiryu plz save the Tojo Clan plz” and Kiryu NEVER gets anything in return unless you count, i don’t know, Daigo and Haruka’s safety? But Majima doesn’t give a shit about any of that. Majima is one of the only people who consistently does things for Kiryu (even if they’re presented in an abnormal way). Majima is really the only one who makes sacrifices for Kiryu. But this fight, it kicks off YK2 of “hey, i missed you but i won’t admit it because we’re manly yakuza, please let me try to make you smile.”
6)
Tumblr media
THE kazumaji scene. Going off of Majima being the only one to make sacrifices for Kiryu, here’s a perfect example. Majima first aids the Tojo Clan which he swore to leave literally only because Kiryu asked him to. Then, here, he get beaten within an inch of his life because he promised Kiryu he would protect Kamurocho from Ryuji. Majima does not give a shit about the Tojo Clan at this point. Yes, Majima LOVEEESSSS beating people up, but he’s fatally wounded. This is not a Majima who would die for the Tojo Clan. This is a Majima willing to die for Kiryu. After warning Kiryu about being to trusting, too.
And of course, we get the Majima collapsing on the pavement and Kiryu rushing in to CRADLE him in his arms like a damn fanfic. You’ve even got the “I did it for you” which everyone knows is basically an “I love you.” Look at Majima’s face in the gif. Bless the Kiwami 2 graphics, first of all. He’s looking at Kiryu like he wants him to be the last thing he sees, like he wants him to know that he’s going out for Kiryu, that despite the fact that he’s about to cough up blood he needs Kiryu to have the information he needs to save the clan and Kamurocho. He’s telling Kiryu all this with labored breath because he promised. Kiryu “One-Expression” Kazuma is viably worried as hell, the little nod in the gif kills me because Kiryu needs him to know he’s touched and he’s so grateful. The only reason Kiryu left him was because there was danger elsewhere and he trusts Kaoru enough to take care of him. (Side note: I love Kaoru Sayama, but I still feel like she’s good enough a character on her own and doesn’t need to be a romantic interest for Kiryu. Like it was like oh... she’s Girl so she needs to fall for the Big Strong Male Protag.... If Majima was a cis girl they would have made out in this game, maybe even y1.)
7) Speaking of sacrifices, Yakuza 3, the game where Majima literally joined the Tojo Clan again because Kiryu wanted him to protect Daigo. That’s a huge lifestyle change, Majima.
Tumblr media
Yes, this scene is funny because Majima is riding in a Barbie-ass truck like a 15 year old driving on a learner’s permit in a downpour (yet proves he can drive stick seconds later) and thinks he hit Kiryu while he purposely hit everyone else. Look, Majima needs this ok y3 he looks like he’s been crying since kiryu left no one No One is going to hurt Kiryu now
That truck is likely stolen, he’s driving erratically as fast as he can because Kiryu is in danger, how did he even know that Kiryu was in danger is it like some kind of 6th sense... If you didn’t already know, I would take a bullet for Majima’s voice actor; his delivery of “Kiryu-chan! Where are you?!” could have just been like haha oops kiryu did i hit you ;3 but instead it’s this raw cry of genuine panic, like did his actions get kiryu hurt, Majima could not live with himself if he was the reason Kiryu got fatally hurt
8) Ok I’ve hinted at the fact that I have beef with the Hot Mess that is yakuza 5, wasn’t huge on Y4 and Y6 was fine but it was heavily based on the events of Y5. In my head I’ve got an entire fix-it fanfic in which Majima yeets out to Okinawa with Kiryu after Y3 I could write that upon request too ANYWAY here’s another sacrificial majima...
Tumblr media
Despite not caring for Y5, THIS SCENE is RAW. Maybe he’s not super “unhinged” in this scene but it’s just so much. Majima, who Kiryu brokedown in his taxi bc he thought he got killed (because Kiryu made him stay in the tojo clan haha we’re out here crying), chooses Kiryu over Saejima. Saejima, Majima’s oath brother, Saejima. We love Saejima, Majima loves Saejima, but 25 years is a long ass time. Majima changed. Saejima changed. For awhile he had Makoto, but then Kiryu was all Majima had for a good chunk of Saejima’s time in prison. This is the man Majima got his eye stabbed out for defending. But the BaD GuYs that arent memorable enough for me to even look up the names of are like look, we want to watch the world burn because we are Bad Guys, so either you are going to fight your brother to the death or we are going to snipe Kiryu’s daughter in the fucking head. Obviously he doesn’t know that Baba is going to betray them, so he has to pick between Saejima and Haruka. He chooses to potentially kill Saejima for Kiryu’s happiness. I’m sure if things didn’t change, Majima would have held back and let Saejima kill him. Majima would rather die than see Kiryu in pain. Majima would rather kill Saejima/let Saejima kill him than let Haruka die. If that’s not a giant declaration of unconditional love and devotion, I don’t know what else to tell you.
Anyway, thanks so much for indulging me and listening to my yakuza opinions if you made it this far you the mvp :’’’’)
