Glitter went home and sat alone looking at the news. All that was broadcast were celebrations about the death of the Wicked Witch of the West and the saving of Strangerville.
Glitter hated it hearing people celebrate the loss of her dearest friend touted as Wicked. If anything, they should be celebrating her role in the whole mess of Strangerville. They had been such a large part of each other's lives and yet it ended like this.
If anyone had been Wicked, it was Glitter, at least in Glitter's mind. Her inaction had caused Gumdrop's transformation, the victimization of the people of both Strangerville and Oasis Springs, whatever in the Watcher's plot had happened to Cavalier, and worst of all the death of her best friend. It still hurt that of all the people to be praised, it was her in the spotlight. No one would know how little she deserved the praise. She was the last one left of their little friend group, Glitter the Good, how ironic. Wasn't the saying that only the good died young? But then, as the last one left, some one had to remember the truth of their past who better than the one who had willfully dragged their feet the most?

Frolic: So where did you find that fruit?
Glitter: I got it from Alfalfa if you must know. I don't see why this matters. She's dead. Your vitriol saw to that.
Frolic: Alfalfa? Miss Medley had it? How?
Glitter: Her mother gave it to her.
Frolic: Her mother? That doesn't make sense that fruit... it's special. How would she get her hands on any?
Glitter: How should I know? Alfie's mom died long before we even met.
Frolic: Who was she? Nothing seemed special in her records. How did she get her hands on this fruit?
Glitter: All I know is her name was Ambrosia.
Frolic: Ambrosia?
Glitter: Yes.
Frolic: Ambrosia... Ah... my head.
Glitter could feel it as strong as a gust of wind pushing by. Magic. It was surrounding Frolic's head with such intensity that Glitter feared that she would collapse. Glitter decided to just wait and see what would happen. When the magic subsided the Wizard was sweating profusely from the strain it had on her. Glitter was never the most studious with her magic but even she could tell a complicated spell had broken.
Glitter: Are you alright?
Frolic: That fruit belonged to Alfalfa from Ambrosia.
Glitter: It was all she had on her.
Frolic: How could I forget about her? About them..
Glitter: What are you talking about?
Frolic: I gave Ambrosia a few of these fruits when I found out she was pregnant. They were special in my family, they were bred with magical properties. They can temporarily gift someone magic to use in a time of need... Watcher... What have I done? What have I done?
As soon as the realization dawned on the Wizard she completely collapsed in on herself.
Glitter put the pieces together after she failed to get Frolic's attention. Magic that seemed to lock away the memory of Ambrosia and Alfalfa, the Wizard's family heirloom in Alfie's possession, and Alfie who didn't look like her father but did, not so coincidentally, share features with the Wizard. It wasn't a far leap just one that may have been best left unreached. Alfie was the Wizard's daughter and the Wizard had orchestrated her death.
Glitter couldn't help but it was some form of poetic justice that the woman who held no regard for anyone but herself and her own had her own child's blood on her hands. It didn't make anything better but Alfalfa would have gotten a laugh out of the irony.
With Frolic focused in on her despair, Glitter decided it was time for her to leave. She left one of the fruits on the table and made for the door. It still pained her to see others grieving and as much as she found the Wizard despicable, she couldn't imagine the revelation upon the older woman.
Glitter: I hope you can live with your choices, Frolic. I really do. I hope we don't run into each other. Please don't contact me again.
With that Glitter left the Elixir residence.

Glitter: What do you want Frolic? Why did you call me here? Haven't you done enough?
Frolic: I realize that it was you behind the destruction of the Mother... I'm not surprised really.
Glitter: What's your point?
Frolic: Let's not be enemies, Miss Silversweater. I lost the Mother, you lost Miss Medley, we'll call it even and start over now, though I don't know how you managed to revive Mister Winky. It'd be a shame for all your hard work to go to waste.
Glitter: You called me here to threaten me. Real classy. How wonderful of you.
Frolic: What's that you have on the table?
Glitter: What's it matter to you?
Frolic: Humor me then.

Glitter: I'm so sorry about your mother.
Myshuno: You two were close. She'd talk about you a lot...
Glitter: We were... I'll do what I can to make sure everything that should be yours goes to the both of you girls. I promised your mother that at the very least. Is there anything else I can do?
Myshuno: I don't think so. What you promised Mom is more than enough honestly.
Glitter: You're both minors though... You'll have to go into care. You could have a case as a teenager but with Sequoia, I don't think any court worth a freezer bunny would give that the time of day. But either way, I can make sure the house stays yours until you're old enough for it.
Myshuno: We're all we have left. I'll do my best to stay with Sequoia rather than have us separate.
Glitter: I can recommend that but I can't guarantee it.
Myshuno: We'll manage somehow.
Glitter: ...
Myshuno: ...Actually. You're close to Mom. She would have wanted you to have this. It's some kind of fruit she got from her mother but I have whatever the opposite of a green thumb is and Sequoia isn't exactly the gardening type. Maybe you might have more use for it. There's two of them anyways.
Glitter: Thank you, Myshuno. I'll keep them safe. I've called the Alpha of The Moonwood Collective to look in on you girls while you prepare to leave. He'll be here in the morning. Would you like me to stay?
Myshuno: No, that's alright. I think we'd like to be alone to grieve.
Glitter: I wish you well girls.
Myshuno: Thanks.

Unfortunately, Alfalfa didn't really have the strongest arsenal of defensive spells and her magic within her fizzled until it felt like she was going to burst. She hardly noticed when the other woman's spell hit her, lifting her from the ground only to drop her into the ground as her magic exploded from within.
A large crowd had amassed and fell silent before erupting into loud cheering to the disgust of Alfalfa's daughters.
Thankfully, or as Thankfully as possible, the chaos allowed Glitter to gather the girls to take them away from the horror that was their mother's death.

Glitter: Either way none of this would have happened without you. Strangerville has been saved and all those who would have been victimized by the Wizard will never have to suffer because of you.
Alfalfa: You're the one who actually did it though.
Glitter: You're the one who inspired me though. It was your passion and foresight that let me see the true importance in what was going on in that lab. If not for you, I might have dismissed it. All of that was a world a way and if you hadn't made me look into it, it didn't really seem that serious just odd.
Alfalfa: I was overeager. Watcher, we were young then. Who'd have thought we'd end up like this back then?
Glitter: I've heard it said, that people come into our lives for a reason bringing something we must learn and we're lead to those who'll help us most to grow if we let them and we help them in return. I don't know if that's true but I know that I'm who I am today because I know you. Who can say if I've been changed for the better? But because I knew you I have been changed for good.
Alfalfa: Sappy much?
Glitter: Oh hush. I mean it. You've been a big inspiration for me for a while now... Back in Shiz Britechester, you were so driven and sure of yourself. I'll admit, I was jealous of you for that. I didn't really know what I wanted but you did.
Alfalfa: So much for those plans.
Glitter: Still, I don't think I would have gotten this far if not for you. I feel like a terrible friend that all I could do for you was give you fashion tips.
Alfalfa: Well, I learned a lot from you too and not just fashion tips though I did benefit from that. Most of my life I was cast aside. Even when we fought that last terrible fight... you were still there through it all even while we were apart.
Glitter: Oh Alfie...
Alfalfa: I'm not done. Without you I wouldn't have a place to truly belong, I never would have found and been able to maintain any kind of relationship or join the communities here in Moonwood Mill... You gave me confidence in myself beyond simple academics but in me. I don't know how things in San Myshuno are going to go, confronting Gumdrop for Myshuno considering how far she's willing to go. It well may be that we will never meet again in this lifetime so let me say before we part, So much of me is made of what I learned from you. You'll be with me like a handprint on my heart and now whatever way our stories end, I know you have re-written mine by being my friend. Who can say if I've been changed for the better?
Alfalfa: Just to clear the air, I ask forgiveness for the things I've done you blame me for.
Glitter: But then, there's blame to share. About Cavalier, Strangerville, the Wizard.
Alfalfa: At this point, none of it seems to matter anymore.
Glitter: I do believe we've been changed for the better because of each other.
Alfalfa: I'd like to think so that we've been changed for good.

Things were starting to stagnate when Alfalfa called.
Glitter: Alfie!
Alfalfa: Guys! I did it. I think I actually got it. Watcher, I’m spent.
Cavalier: Really?
Glitter: She wouldn’t have called otherwise. She’s too stubborn.
Alfalfa: Hey!
Glitter: It’s true though.
Cavalier: Anyways. We’ll meet you at the lab.
Glitter: Actually I have a thing.
Alfalfa: A thing?
Cavalier: Huh?
Glitter: It’s a short thing for work.
Alfalfa: WORK! I forgot. Hopefully this counts as extenuating circumstances.
Cavalier: It has been a while.
Glitter: Anyways, I’ll meet you both at the lab.

Glitter: I still don't think it's a good idea to confront them.
Alfalfa: I know. But I have to.
Glitter: I know that too. I don't have to like that you're putting yourself in danger again after all of this finally ended.
Alfalfa: If- If things don't go well...
Glitter: Yes?
Alfalfa: If things don't go well, make sure my girls stay safe in all of this. Maybe that's too much to ask after you've already done so much.
Glitter: It would be my honor, Alfie. How could I not make sure they're okay?
Alfalfa: This house, is for them both if they want it other than that I don't have many possessions. I just want their futures to not be tied down by the Wicked Witch, you know?
Glitter: I understand. Just try to be safe.
Alfalfa: I will.
The pair then parted ways with Alfalfa going into the house as dawn arrived.
Glitter's heart was set at ease knowing that she and Alfalfa weren't still paused from their fight from years ago. It was so charged back then and now they were looking back laughing at how heated it was. Still Glitter knew that Alfalfa was going into danger once more but their parting was different this time around as it was on Alfalfa's terms not the situation.
Still both women had the feeling that their loose ends had been finally tied up in their relationship. A sense of peace overcame them as Glitter returned to her own home.

Alfalfa: Did you know we adopted a daughter? A beautiful young woman. Myshuno. We adopted her from the Wizard of all people as a toddler.
Glitter: Cavalier told me about the Wizard's child experimentation. That kid?
Alfalfa: My girl, My Myshuno, ... she was taken when my home was destroyed and the vaccines stolen.
Glitter: Myshuno? Starlight?
Alfalfa: Yeah. I heard she was involved with the saving of Strangerville from the paper. But she was so scared when she called me before she was taken.
Glitter: I assembled a team to fight the mother... and I did see Myshuno when I snuck them into the town but I didn't realize that the breakthrough they had with the vaccines was kidnapping.
Alfalfa: You know who took my daughter?
Glitter: Gumdrop.
Alfalfa: As in Tinker?
Glitter: She's holding a grudge against you but I, I never thought she'd stoop this low.
Alfalfa: I can't say I blame her for being mad at me but to use Myshuno... Watcher.
Glitter: That's too far.
Glitter: Way too far. She'll see her day in court for that anyways.
Alfalfa: I'm getting my daughter back. No matter what.
Glitter: Gumdrop is on the warpath against you though. I think she might actually try to kill you if she or her people even catch wind of you. But, I'd do the same for mine.
Alfalfa: I did hear you had a baby.
Glitter: Triplets.
Alfalfa: Yikes.
Glitter: They're toddlers now but those infant days... never again, Alfie. Never again. I also adopted Amore and Watermelon, Rose Blossom's boys, after... well... I saw you there.
Alfalfa: ...Yeah.
Alfalfa: But little ones, they're so sweet that young though.
Glitter: I thought yours was a toddler when you had her?
Alfalfa: Myshuno was, yes.
Glitter: You had a baby?
Alfalfa: Yeah. She's Cavalier's. Her name is Sequoia.
Glitter: Sequoia, huh? How old is she now?
Alfalfa: She'll be starting school properly after the holidays.
Glitter: Precious.
Alfalfa: She reminds me so much of Cavalier.
Glitter: About Cavalier-
Alfalfa: I know. He's gone. I did what I could for him but... somethings are just not meant to last...I guess. At least I have the girls... though I sometimes wonder if the Wicked Witch being their mom is for the best now that things have gotten to the point where they're being used against me.
Glitter: I've kept Alfalfa's name clear to the best of my ability.
Alfalfa: I appreciate it. I just wish that Cavalier knew about Sequoia. I only found out about the pregnancy after he had given himself up. It wouldn't have changed anything but at least he would have known... But that's just wishful thinking, nothing would have changed.

Between arranging for the rescue of Strangerville and her career in politics, Glitter had also been looking for her Alfalfa. For the longest while she hadn't wanted to look especially after Cavalier ran off with her she hated that she had let her jealousy keep them apart for so long but after everything that had happened she decided it was too long. Glitter found that when she really thought about Alfalfa and where she would go it wasn't hard to find her in Moonwood Mill.
Glitter: Alfie?
Alfalfa: Glitter?
Glitter: I'm sorry it took so long to meet again I-
Alfalfa: I'm sorry too.
The two embraced the awkwardness the two had feared would be there whenever they saw each other next after their last encounter faded almost immediately completely washed away by the joy of their reconnection. It was as if the years apart hadn't even happened.

The door opened and Glitter thought she was mistaken when she heard Cavalier’s voice ushering them inside.
Glitter: I don’t understand. How? Er- Asclepias, go inside and make yourself comfortable.
Asclepias: I know when to make myself scarce.
The young woman walked away into the apartment leaving Glitter and Cavalier alone in the entranceway.
Cavalier: Um, Hello?
Glitter: Cavalier? How in the Watcher’s name are you alive? The papers are reporting on your death like it’s a holiday and you’re here, and green, what happened to your face? The scars? You look thin. What happened?
Cavalier: You look like you’re going to cry. I assume you know me as well?
Glitter: Know you? Cavalier what are you talking about?
Cavalier: I should answer your questions. I don’t know why or what happened to me honestly. I just woke up in the park a few days ago and I don’t remember anything from before then. Gumdrop found me and brought me home. She’s been filling me in on things. How do I know you?
Glitter: We used to be engaged. Guess she hadn’t filled you in on that part. Figures. We split peacefully mostly. You got into some trouble and left town shortly after. But if you don’t remember me then, I guess this is our first meeting. I’m just, Watcher, you’re alive. Thank goodness. I thought the last I saw you was the last time I’d would have seen you alive. You’re right in front of me but it barely feels real.
Cavalier comforted Glitter even addressing her by name though he didn’t even know it until the word passed his lips. It surprised him. Glitter seemed too shocked to notice the slip but to Cavalier, it acted as hope that his memories weren’t lost but simply hidden away. In fact the longer he spoke and listened to Glitter’s voice the more emotions flooded back to him as he remembered her in bits and pieces. Not everything but enough to feel certain that she was telling the truth whereas the truths Gumdrop had shared were somewhat confirmed though very opinionated with views Cavalier could tell he didn’t share.

Asclepias: Glitter, I know. I grew up in Oasis Springs under the Eastern Witch’s rule. I know how to keep a secret. You could barely go five steps without being under observation, this much is actually a lot less restrictive.

Before daylight even broke the breaking news across all news channels broadcasted the announcement of the Death of Cavalier Winky.
Glitter hardly had time to process the loss when she went into labor delivering her triplets, Enchantment, Superstition, and Dream Dust.
Despite her recent delivery, Glitter realized she had been slacking on the one thing Cavalier had asked her to do. She needed to make good on her word.

With time passing the tabloids were having a field day trying to report on Glitter’s pregnancy.
Amore was eager to be a brother again and hoped for sisters when Glitter learned she was having triplets while Watermelon balked at the thought of three babies. Glitter didn’t want to admit it since she had so desperately wanted more kids but she was also not a fan of the idea of having multiples especially with how much her back and feet ached all the time.

While Alfalfa had taken over most of her parental duties at this point, she still had to go to work which meant that until she returned home, the girls would be in Wolfgang’s care which neither minded. Though it was news to Wolfgang when the news channel he had been watching about San Myshuno did a segment on Glitter and Allegro’s private wedding prompted by rumors that it was rushed due to an impending arrival. Either way it was proof that nothing major was happening with Cavalier if the top news story was a celebrity wedding/maybe pregnancy.
