Y’all I’ve started to watch Love Like the Galaxy and it’s so fucking amazing I can’t. Like the main lead is this girl who was raised by her shitty aunt and grandmother because her parents went off to fight a war. And because of said shittiness(is that how you spell it?) our girl(Niao Niao) learned to survive by being really manipulative and vindictive and also smart as fuck.

And then her parents come back and all of the things that helped Niao Niao survive in the first place are no longer working as well. Y’ALL do you know how absolutely fucking poetic that is. That when you grow up in a house on a fire you don’t actually understand how to live instead of just survive. And the sheer pain and also confusion from realizing that the strategy that has literally saved your life no longer works the way you want it to. And on top of that being a young woman growing up and wanting her parents affection but being moody, and manipulative, and needy and kind and learning about joy and all she couldn’t have.

I cannot, ok. It’s incredible. And the mom is so fucking amazing because she sees through this girl’s bullshit so fast while so many people don’t. And of course there is a romantic element to this. We’ve got noblemen and a general(swoon) and this gentleman scholar dude person???? Not sure what’s up with that. But it’s so much fun.

And there’s fighting and political deceit and awesome women warriors and it’s literally so fucking amazing.

I love the fact that fma is jam packed with disabled representation. Like the main character is a double amputee, his brother has only like 2 of his senses (don't try and say Al isn't disabled cuz cmon), main character's boss loses his vision, boss' subordinate becomes paralyzed from the waist down, main character's kinda friend ig collapses on occasion due to fatigue from hunger (again dude Ling is disabled you can't tell me otherwise), main character's teacher is (this is the only way I know how to put it) chronically ill, and others that aren't as important to the story. And they're all epic as fuck.
