2nd Gen Shawpack Pookies

I’ve had them in my notes for AGES and I’ve still yet to finish a design, but i do intend on creating little skits of them cuz of how much I’ve invested giving them all personalities and pinterest boards. (If this isn’t me exhibiting my deep love for the Redactedverse idk what is)

Some descriptions are longer than the others, I’ve obviously put more thought into certain characters

•Shaw Twins

- both children are sadly ungifted in the kitchen, despite the fact that David has made them his little helpers when since they were little. Multiple flames have been put out because of them.

-Both do share a love for nature like their father.

Gabriella Shaw (Gabby)🫶🏻

- Angel carbon copy with a dash of Gabriel’s silliness and courage, which always made David smile.

- Natural born Leader. Despite being the eldest child (4 fucking minutes) David has never burdened them with the responsibility or thought of inheriting the business. She stepped into the leadership role on her own, with more brighter approach, personality wise.

- Rollerskates, Angel started taking her to roller rinks since age 6 and she loves taking Lyss and KC with her

Callum Grey Shaw 🌱

-Yes he’s named after the sweet Caelum. David wanted to commemorate his childhood friend.

- Inherited David’s resting bitch face, if you point it out he’ll even growl like he does.

- Great Observer. Because his sister was the more outgoing one of them, he was always the listener, making him more emotionally aware, noticing things most people miss.

- Loves sitcoms. He’s probably watch Brooklyn Nine-Nine so many times he can name episodes in order. This also translates his love for the security company his dad runs. Always begging David to take him to work with him. (I think we know who inherits the company)

•Talbot Troop

-Asher is the only one I picture having multiple kids with a range of age gaps.

-No doubt the most outgoing ones of the pack.

August Talbot (Auggie) 🍕

- Foodie

- Life of the party, stealin’ hearts with his million watt smile

- DDR is his sport

Kelcee Talbot (KC/CeeCee) 🧠

- Designated driver of the group

- Straight A student. When she was young she’d share all the interesting facts she’d pick up on to her parents and it always astounded Asher, how she can command a room, especially being the SOMEWHAT, mellow one among the three.

Oliver James Talbot (OJ/Ollie) 🪲

- Very inquisitive

- Youngest of the pack (the only 7yr old in a group of 17 year olds)

- Has a special bond with Alyssa

•Greer Icon

Alyssa Marie Greer 💥

-Now while i think of Milo and SW as the D.I.N.K (dual income, no kids) couple, and i will somewhat always think that, but— this name crossed my head and I just cannot let it go. IT HONORS MARIE OK—

-Unsurprisingly is always the best dressed. Milo is very proud.

-Has a very ‘takes no bull personality’ making them the most intimidating out of group.

- Plays archery competitively

- Straightforward

-Weirdly great with babies, explains her close bond with Oliver

•Collins

Sean Riley Collins 🥐

- aka Peace Officer Collins

- The code name speaks for itself, he is very much like his old man when it comes to ensuring his friends don’t do anything stupid, and in the very common occasions they do, he of course serves them with a patented Collins lecture.

- He may be half vamp, but that doesn’t mean he has to have a mundane food pallet, this man can COOK and bake, a soft, crispy shelled sourdough being one of his specialties

•Solaire

Hugo Solaire 🎭

- theater kid

- sarcastic, confident, somewhat frivolous, despite his royal status, which gets him in trouble for

- May or may not have a thing for the alpha’s daughter.

- Like Vincent, he’s mostly only close to the Collins’ but has occasionally hanged out with the shaw pack.

Not only will it reduce costs, it ensures that we don't have another generation of children who basically have never had independent lives and realise in their mid 30s that they are basically useless because their elder sibling now has kids. It's imo simply unfair to prevent them from creating their own path until late in life. And even if they continue to be working royals, they are going to be low hanging fruit to attack the royal institution because funding them will eventually become a burden on the tax payer when the heir/monatch gives birth to their own child. Year 1625

TW/CW: Death, Infant Death, Child Death

Whatever good feelings the end of 1624 had brought with it was quickly replaced with worry and uncertainty as plague began to spread like wildfire. The only ones of the household who were unconcerned were the children who were far too young to understand what that would mean.

While family to the West were falling to the plague news first reached Francisco's ears that Frideswide had been in an accident on stage and had sadly died. Adrian couldn't believe that she had passed from an accident when the plague was ravaging the world.

The brothers did their best to move on from their dear elder sister's death by giving more attention to the children, Osana, in particular. Something about holding the small girl made it easier to just focus on the ones still with them. Especially as news of more deaths came in. Including that of Frideswide and Aurelio's son, Hector, that April.

Alexis focused on the older children and cheered up the family by noting that despite the deaths some people reported marriages in Talia's tome such as Gabriella Jaleel who married into the Soto family.

Though in May, Karmine received word that her step-father and step-grandfather had both passed in the plague. The fear of losing her grandmother, mother, or siblings after losing her unborn children tore at her heart and while the city was turning away new arrivals in fear of a new bout of plague, Francisco told Adrian that he and Karmine would move to Karmine's family home once they could travel there. Adrian lamented the idea of them leaving when so many were dying all around them with Parnell and Terric's deaths in the spring, but he also understood that the Carlisles weren't their only family.

Frideswide's twins grew up into young teenagers and while Ferdinando took more after his father, the two of them managed to avoid the plague while their neighbors, the Uptons, lost two daughters in the wake of the birth of a son.

Though the Plague did not spare the Carlisle family in Tartosa as July brought with it both Piero and Alexis catching it. Given Alexis's werewolf immune boost the family was confident that there was a chance for her to fight it off but when Piero died on July 19th, all the fight seemed to leave her following his quick funeral.

It was of little surprise when Alexis collapsed in front of the family graves just a few short days later, the biggest surprise in Adrian's eyes was that it hadn't happened sooner. Alexis died July 27th.

Giulia couldn't understand what had happened in a few short weeks her brother and mother had gone away. Her aunt and uncle tried to explain that they had gone to heaven to be with the Lord above but all that did was make her start asking when they'd be back to which they had no words to comfort her further only hugs.

Osana was blissfully unaware of the goings on in the home she did miss her mother and brother but her age made it hard for her to even think too much on it. She was happy to be held by the other adults in the home so while she fussed for her mother she determined that her aunt, uncle and father were reasonable substitutes.

Vincente was a wreck after his wife and son's passing. He barely ate and when he did come into the house from wandering God only knows where, he'd be filthy. One time even coming home singed from the storm outside. Francisco was more than concerned. Of course it was a tragedy to lose his wife and child, he had lost a child of his own but the two girls needed their father and Vincente just wasn't there.

That being said, Francisco was more than happy and willing to give his nieces the love and affections they deserved. After the consecutive losses and the plague, he and Karmine were done actively trying again for a while yet but both him and Karmine had love to give children and their nieces were in need of parental love.

In the midst of the losses the plague took from the world, Guglielma celebrated her thirteenth birthday. It was a muted affair what with her aunt and little brother's passing early in the year but it was a celebration in the family nonetheless. The Robles family hoped that it was a sign that their tragedy would be over for the time being.

With it now being months since Alexis and Piero's passing, Adrian and Francisco were tired of Vincente aimlessly disappearing into the forests for days on end. It was more than just concerning. It needed to stop. It was understandable that he was hurt but hearing Osana look to Francisco and call him 'papa' was proof enough of Vincente's absence. Francisco was honored that his niece would call him that but her true father was still with them and was missing out on his living children while he mourned the dead and gone. Adrian was shocked to hear that Osana didn't seem to know her own father after the four months since her mother died but it made sense that she wouldn't since she hadn't yet reached a year, to her it was a long time. Too long. They had to do something.

After confronting Vincente when he returned home by throwing him into the bath, Francisco and Adrian told him in no uncertain terms that it was time for Vincente to come home and stay home. He had responsibilities and it wasn't as if Francisco and Karmine were going to be around forever since they planned on moving to care for Karmine's family soon though just her grandmother as her mother remarried and left with her siblings to a new town. They couldn't leave Vincente and the girls without knowing they'd be marginally alright though. They could tell the message hadn't really sunk into Vincente but he mumbled vague promises about being home more frequently. Francisco hardly believed him but it wasn't as if he could force his brother to come back to his family. He could only hope that he'd keep his questionable dismissive word and time would mend his younger triplet's broken heart.

What about when James is about three years old, Victoria finds out she is unexpectedly pregnant again but obviously she and Michael are overjoyed, and little James being the youngest so far and so young in age is so entranced and intrigued by this baby he can’t see but is apparently in his Mama’s tummy, him asking Victoria “me baby too Mama?”, which she says he is her beautiful baby boy,

and James being such a little sweetheart asking Michael “Papa me gonna be big brother?” and following Niccolò, Verona and Vincent around best he can with his lil legs being so observant and taking in everything just like his Papa Michael, and James loves cuddling with his Mama at bedtime asking if the baby can hear the lullaby she sings to him too,

and he giggles so much when Michael shows him how the baby kicks Victoria’s stomach, and James asking Michael one evening if the baby will like “noli” too like Michael, and when Victoria gives birth to a baby girl, James is in Michael’s arms with a pink balloon and teddy bear and saying “soella soella soella, mama mama mama” and says that his lil sister is “bella” which Michael agrees with and both he and Victoria teach their youngest son how to say his baby sister’s name, Gabriella, but he can only say Ella which becomes her nickname

“What that mean?” James peeks up at you curiously, crawling up on the couch.

“It means you’re going to have a new sibling soon.” Michael replies, relaxing next to you. “Like Niccolo, Verona or Vincent.”

“Mhmm.” You beam back, resting your hand over your baby bump. “You get to be a big brother to him or her.”

“Oh.” James’ eyes widen in surprise. “Little baby coming?”

“That’s right, buddy.” Michael ruffles James’ hair. “We’ll have to be a little more patient, but the baby will be with us soon and then you can see them too.”

“Where the baby?” James asks curiously, unaware that he or she is still inside of you.

“In here, honey.” You let out a soft laugh, gesturing to your baby bump. “They’re growing up in here, so they can’t come out and be with us just yet.”

“In mama’s belly?” James’ eyes fill with curiosity and intrigue as he inches closer to you—staring at your baby bump in shock. “In here?!”

“In here.” You repeat with a warm smile. “It was the same with you and all your siblings.”

“Oh.” James giggles, “me baby too, mama?”

“Oh yes, yes you are.” You lean over, giving James a smooch on his cheek. “Mwah. You’re my beautiful, baby boy. Always and forever.”

“Yay!” Filled with glee, James hugs onto your arm, pointing at your baby bump and directing his next question to Michael. “Papa, me going to be big brother?”

“Absolutely.” Michael nods. “Are you excited?”

“Yeah!” James puts his tiny hand over your baby bump with a nod. “I wanna meet baby!”

“Just a few more months and we’ll all meet the baby, honey.” You tell James. “I promise it’ll be worth the wait.”

James is more than escatic to know that not only is he going to have a new sibling—a new little friend to play with closer to his and Vincent’s age—but also that he’s going to be a big brother for the first time.

From the eldest of course, Niccolo is the big brother to everyone—even Verona whom he was born twenty minutes before. While Niccolo is protective and loving of all of his siblings, you and Michael have raised all your children no matter their age that there’s no such thing as ‘power dynamics’ in your household.

That means just because Niccolo and Verona are five years older than everyone doesn’t mean they get to make the rules and boss their siblings around. It’s always been about being fair, sharing, and loving one another.

Born in a family of six yourself as the fourth child, you grew up the same way even as the only girl amongst five boys.

Michael on the other hand, always had to hear about how Sonny and Fredo were the eldest, although with how different and separate he was with his siblings growing up, Michael couldn’t have cared less at the time.

You and Michael have always seen how curious and optimistic little James has been around his siblings. From the moment he learned to walk and run, it’s all James has been doing around the estate as if he’s practicing for a race.

James clutches his little hands into tiny fists by his sides and runs around chasing after his siblings and playing with them, wondering what they’re up to, what the twins are doing and what he can learn from all of his siblings.

In reality, James is more alike Michael than ever. Everytime you welcomed a new addition to the family, you, Michael, and just about everyone else in the family joked about how strong and overpowering Michael’s genes were based on just how strikingly similar the babies looked like their father.

James on the other hand has always jokingly been called “Michael’s body double” and a “mini version” of him; it may as well all be true. James has his father’s hooded eyes, Michael’s lips and nose for starters, and he idolizes his father too.

Whenever Michael’s doing something around the house or even just walking around, little James will follow and observe quietly—just happy to be by his father’s side no matter what.

James of course was too young to understand that you were pregnant with a new sibling up until today, knowing a new baby would join the family but James couldn’t figure out when, how, and why the baby wasn’t here now.

When you put James to bed that night, snuggling him up in warm blankets and singing a soft, soothing lullaby in Italian, his initial reaction wasn’t to say “Buona notte, mamma” (goodnight, mama) but rather; “can baby hear the song too?”

“Would you like to feel the little baby, buddy?” Michael asks, placing his hand over the other side of your baby bump.

“How?!” James gasps out. “Baby inside mama—can’t touch!”

Michael and you exchange a glance, chuckling quietly. “True, but sometimes the baby likes to move around—you definitely did.”

“Does it hurt baby?” James pouts, growing worried.

“Oh no, honey.” You shake your head, reassuring him. “It doesn’t hurt the baby at all! Let your daddy show you.”

“Feel here.” Michael gently takes James hand, moving it over your baby bump. “And just keep your hand over there—”

“Oh!” James gasps loudly, feeling the baby’s foot as it kicks. “Baby!”

“Yes!” You burst out laughing, kissing James’ forehead. “The baby likes to move, just like your father said. You can feel it, can’t you?”

“Little baby.” James giggles to himself, nodding. “Daddy, will baby like noli too? I like noli. Noli, noliiiiii.”

“Who doesn’t like cannoli is a better question.” You place your hands over top of Michael’s and James’ on your bump. “I’m sure the baby will love cannoli just as much as you. We just don’t know which kind.”

“Chocolate noli.” James smiles at your bump, leaning over to give it a soft kiss. “I give baby lots of noli.”

When you reached full term a few months later and gave birth to the fifth addition to the Corleone family, Michael and James waited alongside the rest of your family outside of the delivery room.

The head doctor had whispered in Michael’s ear (to keep it a surprise to others) that you just gave birth to a health, baby girl.

More than overjoyed and surprised it’s a girl this time, the first thing Michael did was scoop up little James in his arms and arrange a giftset from the hospital; one pink balloon and a little teddy bear.

When the physician gave the all clear for Michael to enter the delivery room, he walked in with James up in his arms who held the string of the balloon in one small hand and clutched onto the teddy bear with the other.

You remember how you gazed up weakly at your boys, exhausted from the actual delivery but filled to the brim with joy holding your newborn baby girl in your arms.

“Sorella, sorella, sorellaaaaaaa.” James gave a little wave to his baby sister. “Mamaaaaaa, little baby is sorella. Mama, mama.” James happily nudged you as you giggled. “Little baby… Bella.”

“She is, isn’t she?” Michael chuckles. “Do you know what her name is?”

“What is, what is?!” James claps his hands together.

“Gabriella.” You say back, holding your baby up in your arms. “This is your baby sister Gabriella, honey.”

“Aaaaa…” James looks over at the little baby in confusion, unable to repeat her name. “Hmmmm… Ella! Ella, Ella, Ella!”

“Look at that.” You let out a soft laugh, “she’s only just born and James is the first to give her a nickname already.”

“He can’t say any of his siblings’ names properly just yet.” Michael smiles over at his son, watching as James leans over in Michael’s arms to hold his baby sister’s tiny hand.

Both you and Michael watch as little Gabriella holds James finger with her entire hand, cooing to herself and looking up at her big brother.

The surprise and excitement over James’ expression to finally meet his new baby sister is one you and Michael will never forget seeing in the delivery room today.

The Queen was represented by The Prince of Wales, accompanied by The Duchess of Cornwall, this morning at a National Service of Thanksgiving for Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee in St Paul’s Cathedral.

Their Royal Highnesses were received at the Cathedral by the Rt Hon the Lord Mayor (Alderman Vincent Keaveny), the Dean (the Very Reverend David Ison) and Chapter, the Bishop of London and the Archbishop of York.

After the Service Members of the Royal Family attended a Reception given by the Rt Hon the Lord Mayor and the City of London Corporation at Guildhall, London EC2.
