god sometimes i think a little too hard about how vyncent's never had a break from foghting for his fucking life. he grew up on Hell Danger Kill You Always World and got thrown into the most dangerous possible profession at the ripe age of 19. man. Akira Toriyama is dead. I don't even know what to say.
Dragon Ball was the series that pushed me to really go into stories. It was, for lack of a better word, iconic. There are so many moments from DB that stand out in my mind to this day.
Toriyama was a master of his craft. And he has contributed so much more than Dragon Ball! Dr. Slump, Chrono Trigger, and more.
So many artists wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for Toriyama's influence. His work has changed the landscape of pop culture and art forever. I don't quite think we'll see another storyteller like him again, not for a long, long time at least.
I guess what i'm saying is that the world has lost one of it's brightest creative sparks. But others will carry it's light forward.
Rest in peace, Akira Toriyama. Your legacy will be remembered forever.
