Oroku Saki didn't often visit New York City, and when he did, each trip ended up being the same every, single, time; Go to this overseas city, conclude actually legitimate business, and then return back home to his clan and daughter in Japan.
So he never expected such a mundane business trip to result in him stumbling upon 4 toddler sized humanoid turtles, who were hurt and all alone in a cold, dark alleyway...
A tmnt version where the turtles were all raised by Shredder in Japan alongside Karai.

6 Hours of Drawing.
I’ve been working on this piece non-stop since I got off work (besides running to Blick for new Microns because I’m slowly murdering mine). It’s coming along well! This is basically part of my big inktober/drawlloween thing. Instead of small pieces, I’m working on this big piece and the story that it goes with. I’m going to write and illustrate (or at least right) my own version of the Tale as Old as Time! The characters depicted are my representations of Belle and Prince Adam/the Beast.
I can’t wait to finish this and sketch the other characters. I’m tossing around ideas for changing the plot around and how to make it true to the original tale but with my own twist!

Character charts for the turtle boys!
This is my first time doing a character chart so sorry if it looks weird.
They all have different names than their canon ones because they couldn't really tell Shredder what their rat appointed names were, so he gave them new names and now they don't even remember their “birth” names.
Bios under the cut:
Leo/Aoshi
Takes the ninja business the most seriously and even took to it like a fish to water back when they first started training.
Is very obedient and tries to follow orders to a T.
He is extremely prideful, which wasn't helped by the fact that he was always above his brothers in the ninja business.
On the contrary, he is the absolute worst when it comes to mystics, something which he did not handle well.
Basically suffering through gifted child burnout.
This has caused his relationship to be temporarily strained with Rikuto, which was already getting complicated due to many other factors, as Rikuto is absolutely gifted in the mystics department.
They managed to resolve it eventually, and are back to being as close as they were when they were kids.
Admires his older sister Karai greatly, likes to hang out with her all the time, mainly through sparring, and even copied her as a child a lot.
Karai using swords is the reason he chose to wield swords himself when they were finally old enough to choose their weapons.
Enjoys painting a lot, he enjoys all forms of art but painting is his preferred art form.
Has painted many things for himself and his family over the years, something which he is very proud of.
Touji is the one who takes the most interest in his art and as a result he painted a lot of stuff for him.
Often helps Shito design his machines and robots as Aoshi has a better eye for aesthetics.
Has a fragile ego and so he doesn't take insults of any kind well, which gets worse when the burnout kicks in.
He is the silent deadly kind of protective, if you harm or insult his family, no one will even receive a warning before the person quietly disappears, never to be found again.
Extremely competitive, especially with his brothers, if he wins he gets really full of himself and if he loses, well, he doesn't take it well.
He prefers reading and watching anything comedic, as their life is full of action and drama so those genres don't appeal to him as much.
Has a weird, complicated rivalry kind of relationship with Tanaka, Shredder's most prominent pupil outside his children.
Raph/Rikuto
He is physically the strongest out of his brothers.
Is rather indifferent to the ninja business but he really enjoys fighting and combat, which leads to him sometimes abandoning the stealth and just going in.
He's quite disobedient in general and only really listens to Shredder and Shito.
Which is one of the reasons behind his current strained relationship with Aoshi.
Gets angry easily, especially when he feels his family is threatened or insulted, but he doesn't care at all if you do the same to him.
Is the very loud and angry kind of protective, like a wild beast charging at you and finishing you off before you even get to realize what's going on.
Enjoys all types of sport and often sneaks into batting cages when they are closed, often accompanied by Touji.
Plays hockey with Casey a lot, be it dry or on ice, depending on the weather.
Is a natural with kids and often gets stuck babysitting for Casey as a result.
He has an unnatural affinity for the mystics, something which he greatly despises as it causes him to experience and sense things no one else can.
Examples include: sensing spirits and ghosts, getting weird dreams, being able to sense when someone uses a spell, and so on.
Enjoys the quiet a lot, and often naps, meditates or reads to truly enjoy it.
Hangs out a lot around Shito as a result, as he is the quietest out of all of them, so the two of them can be found silently coexisting within the same room, each doing their own thing, as Rikuto leans on Shito.
Enjoys reading all genres but he has a soft spot for anything centered around interpersonal relationships.
Has an absolute sweet tooth and often bakes many sweet goodies for himself and his family.
His favorite is pink mochi with vanilla ice cream filling.
Has a mutual hate relationship with Hun, they both despise each other but as they don't want to upset Shredder they begrudgingly try to act civil and not kill each other.
Unfortunately their skill sets cause them to be paired up a lot, and so they developed an extremely passive aggressive way of behaving with each other, as long as they don't try to actually fight, Shredder doesn't care.
Don/Shito
The smartest out of his brothers and a prodigy when it comes to machines, especially robotics.
Has… complicated feelings about being a ninja, as he wants to help his family and be useful but he was never the best when it came to the ninja business, and as his entire family are ninjas, he feels like he has to be one too.
He is selectively mute, being unable to talk to people he isn't very familiar with and even then he only really speaks with his 5 family members.
In general he is a very quiet individual, unless he is infodumping, and has developed his own 3 fingered sign language and taught it to his family and friends.
It's especially useful when he is conversing with April as she is completely deaf.
While he is very quiet himself, he greatly enjoys hearing other people talk, which mainly ends up being Touji.
He really likes birds, as he finds them completely fascinating, and usually models his robots after them.
He also likes photographing them but he likes photographing anything he finds fascinating so he can show his loved ones later.
Once he found an injured crow whose wings were completely ruined, so he made him metallic wing replacements, and after a lot of convincing, he was allowed to keep the crow as a pet.
Named the crow “Crovus”, which is just the scientific name for crows, but Touji also nicknamed them “Cycrow” because of their robotic wings.
Is the most timid of his bros and has a hard time harming people, it's why he didn't choose any sharp weapon unlike his brothers.
This resulted in his family being extra protective of him, especially Rikuto.
Is a complete hopeless romantic and is the only one of his family to desire having a romantic relationship one day, though he doesn't have much hope considering he is a giant turtle.
He is content with just reading anything romance related he can get his hands on, most being shoujo manga and romance novels, and gushing about them to Aoshi and April though.
As an engineer, he works with other Foot engineers a lot, mainly with Stockman.
He doesn't mind working with Stockman and thinks the man is quite brilliant even if he is arrogant. Stockman, on the other hand, has very complicated feelings about working with the teenage son of his employer, a teenager who also outranks him.
Mikey/Touji
Similarly to Rikuto, he is also indifferent to the ninja thing, preferring to do more hands-on interactions like negotiations and interrogations.
Unlike Rikuto, however, he has no problem obeying any orders, even if he does like to take his own spin on them.
He is an absolute social butterfly, wanting to make friends and connections as much as possible.
This is rather hard for him to do, seeing as he can't really interact with humans without disguising his entire self.
Despite that he is an absolute natural when it comes to communicating, making deals and even manipulation.
While he is indeed extremely good he is also way too overconfident which has landed him in deep trouble.
He enjoys moving a lot, be it in battle, on the dancefloor or with his skateboard, he never stays still.
Alongside dancing he also enjoys singing and even has his own karaoke machine in his room.
He also enjoys sparring and so he spars with Aoshi a lot, and currently spars the most with him out of their brothers due to the tension between Aoshi and Rikuto.
Out of his brothers he wishes he could walk freely among humans the most, and while he loves being a turtle, he desperately wants to be able to be among humans, hang out with them and go to parties in plain sight without having to hide.
But he can't so he instead sneaks out, usually with Rikuto, to all kinds of human places they can't usually go to.
A passionate fan of all comics, from both the east and the west, he hasn't found a genre he hasn't liked yet.
Likes to rant about them to Shito, who has no idea what he's talking about but he gladly listens.
Is the deceptively cheerful type of protective, the type who makes you think he isn't mad, but he'll completely destroy you while continuing to smile cheerfully.
Tries to be friends with Shredder's PR representative, Suzuki Hikari, as much as possible so he can work more in that field.
Meanwhile Suzuki is also trying to befriend Touji because he is Shredder's son and it would get her into her boss's good graces.
