The East River seen from the World Trade Centre, 2000.

From the interior observation deck of the World Trade Centre, you were given a gods-eye view of the East River, including the iconic Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges. I love how the black and white makes the image semi-timeless (the cars give it a way a bit on closer inspection).

Give Poetry A Chance is a "Liverpool based initiative providing a platform for local poets." They have been running monthly events since 2019.

I decided to put a 50mm prime lens on my F65 and see how much success I would have photographing people performing.

The south of Manhattan seen from Brooklyn Bridge Park, 2000.

This first magical visit to New York, I spent half the day walking along the Brooklyn Bridge. I was gifted an exquisite day, cold and clear, so I used a circular polariser to pull in the sky with a red filter, which gave me these almost black skies. It would only be a year later an empty space would occupy where the World Trade Centre stood.
