Flying Serpent: A reptile with a limited ability to hover. Flying serpents do not truly possess the ability to fly: their ability to hover seems to derive from their bird-like hollow bones and the sparkle of Anemo that imbues them with a subtle influence over the wind.

Enemies: Eelmen
One of the most interesting foes in the early stages of Bloodborne 2 are the Eelmen, the eel-like residents of Lower Elpium. Eelmen, as the name suggests, are creatures that seem to be a hybridization of man and eel, possibly owing to the Blood of the Old Ones used in Elpium’s blood ministration- though at the moment very little is known about how the game handles Elpium’s use of blood outside what we know about Iosef.
For now, however, it’s safe to assume that these are bestial vestiges of the residents of the city. While the Elpite enemy type shows subtle signs of turning with their translucent skin, bald heads, pale eyes and blue veins, the Eelmen are presumably the next level of transformation through the power of blood.
You first encounter an Eelman kneeling by of a fountain in Lower Lepium, and as you approach, it seems like any Elpite foe, or even a corpse. A pale, emaciated figure with a slick sheen and blue veins especially prominent on its ridged spine. As you approach, it almost seems like a corpse of an unfortunate Elpite who recognized their coming fate and attempted to drown themselves, as the head is in the waters of the fountain.
It is only when you lock on and attack or attempt to walk past that you first encounter the Eelman in its full glory. Rising from the fountain with a horrible cry, most players first encounter with this foe will include them immediately having the Eelman’s fanged maw latched around their head and half of their health pool gone in an instant while they wonder what the fuck just happened-which is a classic fromsoft move no matter how you look at it.
The Eelman has the lower body of a typical Elpite, save for shorter, nearly vestigial arms and the additional spinal ridges reminiscent of budding fins. However, the Eelman has a head that is as the name suggests, terribly eel-like. A pale, thick and long coil of powerful white flesh and muscle at least as long as its torso juts out from where the head would sit. Ending in a massive maw that it strangely wide and flat, full of needle like fangs and lacking any other distinctive features save for slits that may be eyes, the Eelman relies on its stretchable neck and rapid succession of bite attacks to eradicate threats. The Eelman’s neck and head largely resemble the shape forms of a Gulper Eel.
While the neck is long and agile, the Eelman’s primary body seems to struggle beneath the combined added weight and shifted center of gravity, meaning that its movements are slow and clumsy, so attacking it from beyond the range of its bite attack is generally safe. At lower levels and very early game, you may run out of resources before cutting down its health pool in a meaningful way. In that case, interrupting its bite attacks, staggering it and getting visceral attacks is the best way to kill it. Perhaps owing to its slick skin and taut muscles, the Eelman seems to be resistant to piercing damage- further testing is required to confirm.
Bloodborne2Updates will continue to update as more information becomes available.

For some reason, I never posted this piece here.
Background: My character (pictured) had to make the choice to leave a party member’s body behind, giving up the chance for resurrection. The rest of the party had jumped off the roof to escape and only my character had feather fall.
The villain reminded him he didn’t have time to grab her. He took one last look and jumped after his friends.
To make it even better? They had been fighting right before this. A terrible fight, and weren’t on speaking terms. He didn’t get the chance to apologize.
