Y/n pov
I walked down one of the many hallways in this place, Passing the dorm hall. I looked down, hearing footsteps echo to a room. It was Reyes and girl, she was in the light blue clothes everyone is put in when they come here. Reyes opened a door and they walked in.
"new girl... wow," I said to myself and walked to the common rooms to go tell the others. We haven't gotten anyone new since Roberto, and that was a while ago. I wonder what her power is? why is she here though, she must have done something bad...
I walked into the common room, Rahne watching a movie on the old Philips TV, Illyana doing the same. Sam and Roberto were playing a round of Foosball. I tapped on the door and walked through "Hey!" I greeted and elbowed Sam's back, not as hard as to hurt him. Roberto nodded, focusing on the game. Illyana looked from behind the couch "Hey Copycat." with a laugh. Illyana isn't that bad, she's just scared. Rahne waved not looking up from the TV.
"Whatcha doing?" I heard Sam ask, I turned to him "I don't know." and jumped on the couch "Eh! We gotta new gal." That caught Rahane's attention "eah just came in. Probable 2 days ago. She just woke up." and turned around.
"I wonder if she'll be a group?" I questioned "Probably, I would think" Sam answered stopping the game "I wonder whys she here? We haven't gotten anyone new, or well since I came. At Least." Roberto asked the foosball game now over. I shrugged "I wonder what her powers are?" Illyana asked.
" I don't know but, we'll find out soon. I0 think, Faster then Roberto's, that's for sure." I said in a teasing tone, Roberto scoffed " Yeah ok, printer." I gasped and started laughing "That's not even good! that's trash dude, try again." Rahne chuckled turning off the TV, and cleared her throat "We have group soon, we should get ready." and stood up, I waved to her as she left.
I'm going to go take a shower, see ya." Roberto said leaving the room as well, the same thing with Illyana. I and Sam said goodbye to both of them. I leaned forwards putting my arms on my knees, Cracking my knuckles "this shit sucks."
"I know." sam said with a groan, falling to the chair on the side of the room.
3rd person, group
" Rahne why don't you go first, tell us about the time you first changed." Reyes started turning towards Rahne"I-' she was cut off as the door opened and in walked a girl with flannel on. Her hair was short, about to her shoulders and kinda wavy.
"This is Danielle Moonstar."Reyes start "For real?" Roberto laughed, Reyes glared at him "Oh, you're serious." Y/n gave a little chuckle to his stupidity, " you can sit right there." Reyes said pointing to the empty chair next to sam.  Reyes smiled at Rahne " Continue." Rahne nodded and started to tell her story again.
Y/n sunk into her chair, she pulled her hat down covering a little bit of her face. She couldn't stop looking over at the new girl, Danielle. the way her hair fell on her shoulders, in such pretty waves. Y/n jumped hearing Illyana yell " I'm done." she stood up throwing her jacket over the shoulder "wonderful, can you show Danielle around. since your up." Reyes asked her with a smile, Illyana argued with her. Giving in and leaving the room with her.
The session finished about 15 minutes after.
Danielle's POV
I and then stood up from the table we were eating at "Who are these people?" I asked, I don't know anyone names. Rahne smiled at me "Ok, That is Y/n and Sam." Rahne pointed " They are twins. Both are really smart if you have a question about really anything. Go to them."   The two looked up 'they looked like twins.' i thought to myself Y/n smiled before looking back down at a notebook.
"that's Illyana, she's kinda crazy. Y/n and she are friends, they are quite close. connected right away. So watch out if you mess with one of them." Rahne gave a small chuckle to me "Okay, got it." I laughed "but don't worry Y/n is nice, just like sam. she's one of the 'goodies'."
We walked up to a guy with headphones on "This is Roberto." He smiled "New girl, Puppy." and took our trays.
I looked at Rahne "That's everyone?" she nodded "Yup, Sam and Y/n Guthrie, Illyana Rasputin, and Roberto da Casto. That's everyone. And Dr.Reyes, of course." we both laughed, I looked around the room one more time before Rahne and I left. Y/n was looking in our direction, I gave her a small wave and a smile. She nodded her hat and turned around.
3rd person
A few days later
Illyana, Roberto, Sam, and y/n ran past Dani's room "What are you guys doing?" Rahne asked, "Attic, you coming?" Y/n asked before turning "No, the new girl isn't invited." Illyana stated, in a stern tone. "come on, both of you." Sam gestured and the group continued their walk to the attic.
"Is this where you guys hang out?" Dani asked, looking around the old room "Yeah, its got stuff here from before this was for mutants." Y/n stated, her accent sounding like Sams but for the feminine. Y/n sat next to sam, as he sat on a stool.
Illyana grabbed a silver briefcase "what's that?" Danielle asked "Lie detector test." Roberto answered as he sat in the chair. Rahne hooked him up and sat down next to the machine "Dare." Roberto states "You cant ask dare." Illyana said in a smartass tone "Fine, truth."
Sam looked around "How many girls you been with." he said with a smirk "I can't even count how many." Roberto said with a smirk, Rahne shook her head "Lie." y/n laughed "how many?"
Roberto cleared his throat "three." sam nodded "that's not bad." Illyana looked at Rahne "Lie." Y/n laughed and looked at him "Why?" Dani looked at her, she sat with her elbows on her knees. She looked like a prison interrogator "I get too hot..." Roberto said getting out of the chair "sam your turn."
Sam got up and sat in the chair "Fine." Rahne hooked him up, Dani cooked her head "What's up with the piece of coal?" Sam looked up " My dad, he gave it to me before he passed." he looked down, Y/n cleared her throat "Yoy got your question, up." Illyana said standing up from her seat and getting in the chair "Well hurry up." she said to rahne, she muttered an 'ok'
"Why are you here?" Dani spoke up, y/n chuckled "I killed 18 men... one by one, with my sword and Lockheed." Illyana stated looking directly at Danielle "shes telling the truth, the line is flat." Roberto stated.
"Your turn, Y/n. Don't think we forgot about you." Roberto smirked, y/n stood up fixing her sleeve "Oh really now? ok." she grabbed the stuff from Illyana and sat down, hooking her self up.
"What's your power?" Danielle asked "Energy blasting and Channeling. I can copy people's power, and send a blast of energy out, causing mass destruction.." Y/n stated, looking towards Danielle, "I can copy them, sometimes I'm able to keep them. Like sams." Illyana smirked, "she's a copy cat, watch out."
Danielle looked at y/n "So you could copy mine?" Y/n nodded "If I see it, yeah. But since I haven't seen it, or heard it. No, not yet." Danielle slowly nodded. Y/n started taking off the equipment "Why have you been acting weird lately, y/n?" sam asked, of course right before she could take off the finger cuffs "What do you mean?" she chuckled, Roberto looked over at her with a smirk "She has, hasn't she?"
"I don't get it, what?" she looked around, Sam and Roberto were smirking at each other " You like someone?" Rahne asked y/n laughed "No... why?" she sat up in the chair, Rahne looked at the graph "Who?" she said with a smirk, Y/n shook her head and took off the cuffs "shut up." and stood up to walk out of the room "Well who is it?" Illyana asked leaning forwards "You guys don't need to know. Why is it such a big deal ?!" Y/n maintained her strong act.
"You do! Who is it, Roberto?"  Sam laughed, Y/n fake gagged "No way in hell." Roberto acted hurt, putting a hand on his chest and falling back in his seat"Hey she doesn't want to answer that." Dani started, Y/n looked at her and put her hand up "Its fine, I swear. Don't worry." she said with a smile, Rahne though for a second before "She likes you!" she yelled pointing at Dani.
"What the fuck?! No, I-I don't even know her." She started to defend herself, y/n looked at sam wanting some help. he put his hands up "you started this, just answer the question." her face got red, with embarrassment and anger. Her hand twitched and she cracked her knuckled "I'm going, you assholes." and again started to leave.
"Just tell us? what's the big deal, it's just a question y/n. Stop being overdramatic. You're not in the south anymore, you don't have to wait till marriage." Roberto mocked her, Rahne looked at him and shook her head "not funny Roberto." Sam looked at him with a glare and flicked his hand against his throat, signaling to cut it out.
"You wanna know? Do you really want to!" the room shock a little "You really want to?! Fine, I like Danielle. There, you happy now." and with that y/n left the room.
Sam looked around the room, so did Rahne. Roberto sat in his chair, in silence. Illyana had a smirk on her face "What's so funny?!" Danielle asked her with a serious tone, Illyana shrugged "I just can't believe anyone would like you..." she smirked.
"Ok that's enough, imma go find my sister." and he stood up and left the room "I'm going to too!" Danielle ran after him. Leaving Roberto and Illyana alone in the room to pack up.
Y/ns POV
I ran down the stairs leaving the old room, slamming the door shut. 'I can't believe them!' i yelled in my head my fist clenched,  I could punch sam right now. Even though he didn't mean to make it a big deal, he just wanted a simple answer but still.
My shoes echoed down the empty hall, Reyes was definitely able to hear me. My eyes watered up, and I felt energy start to bottle up in my body. I need to get outside, now. I ran to one of the many exits and started trying to open it. It's locked. I started pushing the door harder, hoping it would bust open.
"Please open, please!" I yelled and banged on the door harder and harder. The energy that would be released soon would probably wipe out this side of the building. I cried harder "Open the fucking door, Reyes!" I screamed the door unlocked and I busted through and ran straight for the field in front of the building "Y/n!" I heard a voice yell from the building. I kept running.
I tripped on a stick and fell to the ground, the energy being released when I hit the floor. I screamed as the blast rang out. I heard a faint scream and a barrier was put around me, Reyes. Once the blast faded down, slowly. I looked up from the ground, the field incase in the bubble Reyes cast was either on fire or charred. I broke down.
"Y/n!" I heard Sam yell as he ran down the hill towards me before Reyes put a dome around him to keep him from going any further.
3rd person
It sounded like a bomb exploded outside the brick building, Sam and Danielle ran towards the girl in the field. Reyes ran out soon after that, putting a field around her bug enough for the fires to not spread anywhere else.
"What the hell just happened?" Dani yelled, Sam looked over at her " she exploded. What does it look like?!" He screamed and ran towards his sister, crashing into a field.
"No, don't go near her." Reyes stated and walked towards sam "What happened for her to explode?" she looked Between sam and Dani "We asked her if she liked anyone, she got defensive and we didn't leave her alone. She got overwhelmed and ran out." Dani confessed, Reyes looked at her "thank you, Danielle." eyes gave her a small smile before turning to sam with a stern face "Sam why didn't you stop them? you know she can't control it."
Sam looked at the Doctor and shook his head "I don't know, I fucked up. Just please let her go." he pleaded, Reyes looked at the dome down the hill. The fire had gone away and the girl was in the middle of it.  She lifted the doom and smoke flooded out from it, y/n stood up and looked at the people on the hill.
"Your gonna need to be separated from the others, you know that y/n?" Reyes spoke to the girl as she walked up. She nodded and looked at Sam, and shook her head at him "Look I'm sorry-" he started before y/n cut him off"don't. I'm sorry Dani you had to see that." before leaving the site with Dr.Reyes.
"Is she mad?" Dani asked sam Shook his head "No, just disappointed and embarrassed that all. Well, see her a few days though." Sam said turning towards Dani, she raised a brow "In a few days? What is gonna do to her?" she asked, " she's gonna run a few tests on her, and put her in confinement to make sure she can be let out again." Sam started walking towards the building in the dark. Danielle thought to herself for a little bit.
"Do you think that was all over a question about if she liked me or not?" Dani asked looking at sam, he shrugged at her "Could be, I mean she likes you but It could have been something else as well. You'll have to ask her that yourself."
Sam and Dani walked into the building seeing Illyana, Roberto, and Rahne by the exit "What happened?" Roberto asked sam "She exploded. What do you think?" Sam said in an angry tone "Probably all because we wouldn't leave her alone about her little crush on Danielle. And now I won't be able to see my sister for a good week all because of this bullshit." and with that sam walked off to his room.
the group stood there in silence, sams boats echoing down the hall. Slowly fading off. Danielle looked at Rahne "I feel like this is my fault..." she started "no, not yours. It mostly me and sam. We started it, we joke a lot with her but we sometimes forget her limits. She won't hate us for it, She won't hate anyone for it. But don't expect to hear her talk for a while." Roberto stated in a quiet tone.
"Whys that? we won't see her for a week sam said, but why won't we hear her?" Dani asked looking at the 3 "When she explodes, she gets embarrassed and will give us the silent treatment. We also will not hear from her for a while because when she explodes, It injures her voice box. It comes with the power." Rhen scratched the back of her neck.
"will she forgive us though?" Danielle asked the group once more question, Illyana laughed "always. It's just her. She forgives and forgets." Illyana looked up the Lockheed puppet "That's why she gets along with everyone so well." she shoved Lockheed in her back pocket "I'm going." Illyana turned on her heel "I'm going as well, see you guys tomorrow morning.
Dani and Rahne looked at each other "Do you like her as well?" Rahne asked Dani. Danielle shrugged "I don't know, I haven't talked to her that much. She's nice but, who knows." Dani smiled at Rahne and they walked to their rooms in silence saying goodnight teach others and closing their doors.
y/n fell asleep, the explosion still ringing in her ears and occurring through her dreams. And like Sam said, "Not mad, just disappointed." and embarrassed.

"Um, Rosalina ... " Lucas is done up in the clothes from his and Chrom's last-minute shopping trip. A simple, but sleek suit, golden trim along the hems. A holly is fitted on the lapel of his jacket — a fake one, of course, so it lasts for the duration of everyone's stay, but festive nonetheless. He's looking very put together ... except for the knot of his red and green tie. It was an honest attempt, at least. "I think I did it wrong."

Oh. Eyes took a moment and ceased their best fish bowl impression with a point to his tie. Improperly done, if not valiantly attempted. She understands now, and with a readying blink back to reality, a knee is taken to assist. “Ah, no worries, sweetie, I’ll do that up for you right quick.”
It’s the requested action that’s done in a jiffy, the fix a mere three or four seconds, tops. ...But while she was down here, she would straighten the holly pinned to his lapel. Along with the suit in its entirety. Just a quick check to assure it’s perfect. And while she’s here, might as well pick anything from the face: a little lint, as it were. Completely unseeable and impacted absolutely nothing, but she disposed of it as though it were a blight upon sacred ground. Ah, and of course a check of the hair, literally snapping a comb from thin air. It appeared in her hand, made sure no hair fell to his face, no curls, knots, or ties were all too prominent, and snapped it away moments later. Oh! And--

Can I bug you for a story where Dan finally works up the nerve to ask the reader out and their first date is a total disaster? And Dan feels really bad because he just likes her so much but she has to reassure him that she likes him too and she had a good time? (I don’t know why, but I just think it’s really cute when things go wrong on dates
A/N: You can absolutely bug me for a story, lovely ! Especially one like this. I’m always up for taking requests - some just tend to take a little longer than others to fill because I work from the bottom up in my ask box. This fill was originally written for the holiday season, so I hope it’s okay. ♡ I know it’s way late, but I really love how this one turned out, because I love the request so much. Thank you for sending it in; heart you !
SUGAR COOKIE KISS
Crunching through the freshly-fallen snow, you made your way up the short path to the front door adorned with a very festive wreath. As you got closer you could smell honey and pine wafting through the door, making your stomach grumble and a small smile play at your painted lips. Normally you didn’t do holiday parties and the like, but it was a work gathering, according to the text you got from Arin a few days ago. Plus everyone had been talking about it in the office, how excited they were to just have a day to hang out and binge on good food and not worry about anything. That sentiment rang true for you as well, the last month of cramming for the holiday season having gotten to you at least once. But now, as you knocked on the door, you were ready to put that all behind you.The door opened to reveal, much to your surprise, Dan, wearing oven mitts and his hair tied back in a low ponytail. With raised eyebrows, your smile growing, you offered a simple, “Hey”, which made him reply in an equally simple, but much more excited-sounding, “Hey!” A beat, then, “C’mon in. You caught me just as I rotated the ham.” That would explain the honey scent.Stepping inside, you noticed how cozy it was, how very…“Wait, is this… Your place?” you asked, eyebrows raising, the thought of getting to be in Dan’s house, seemingly all by yourself, making your stomach get just a little fluttery. “It is, yeah.” He was retreating back to the kitchen, so you followed. “But you don’t celebrate Christmas,” you replied, suddenly lost but not losing the smile. “You’re, like, Jewish as hell.” He chuckled. “I am.” His simplicity in his answers was making you even more confused. “But you have a wreath on your door?” Give me something, man! “Oh, yeah. I did that for you.”Well, that was something, you supposed.“For me?” you repeated, blinking. “Yeah. I know you celebrate Christmas, so I wanted to make you feel more comfortable,” he explained, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. It was definitely sweet, you’d give him that. “Since it’s just gonna be you and me tonight-” Flip went your stomach, and not in a good way.
Hands came up, begun waving. “Whoa whoa whoa, wait. What?” Dan popped up, stood straight, and looked at you with slightly-widened eyes. “I thought this was a company thing.” His features morphed quickly from confusion to panic. “Oh no - I thought - Arin was supposed to tell you it was you and me -” He was stumbling over his words, tossing off the mitts and approaching you. Pulling out your phone, you found the texts, re-reading them.“Oh.” No, he was right. You just read wrong. Arin had said it was a party, but dress like a date, because it’d be just the two of you. How did you get company party from something so obviously a set-up? Dan peeked at the screen, breathing out through his nose. “I’m so sorry,” he conceded after a moment, voice gentle, guilty. “I should’ve just done it myself, it would’ve saved us all of this…” He looked to the oven. “It was sort of a… I’ve been wanting to do this for a while now, and I know Christmas is, y’know, cute and romantic to some girls…” He was floundering, about to drown in his own guilt. The holiday season wasn’t exactly romantic, for you, but you reached out, put your hand on his arm. “Danny, it’s okay.” He looked back to you. “Is this a date?” Just to make it clear. “I wanted it to be, yeah,” he answered, honesty just barely masking his disappointment. He thinks I’m going to leave. “Then it’s a date.” There was nothing for a moment, then a gentle, sweet smile, a silent thanks wrapped in.Moving to where he was, you asked, “So, anything I can help with?” Looking at him, you both smiled. “Well, you can give me some recommendations on what you like for sides,” he offered, coming to your side. “Mashed potatoes are a classic. And I have butter garlic.” He nudged you, a silly attempt at tempting you, making you laugh a bit and nudge him back. “I like mashed potatoes. And some kind of vegetable?” He nodded. “Corn or green beans?” He held up the two different cans. “Oh, green beans,” you answered easily. “Really? I took you for more of a corn gal.”The two of you got to work on the fixings, time ticking by without much mind. All the while, you and Dan talked, got to know each other past the surface-level niceties, the butterflies erupting every time you touched each other. Hands handing things to each other, shoulders bumping, nothing obvious but also not nothing, you knew there were so many girls who dreamed of doing something so simple and sweet with him. And here you were.
Once the two sides were finished, he handed you the prepped bowls and asked, “Take these to the table?” You nodded, one bowl in each hand, taking them out to the small coffee table he had in between his TV setup and seating arrangement. Just as you set the glassware down, you heard a familiar voice curse out loud. Head whipping to the look at the doorway, you quickly went back to investigate the reason.Dan was pulling out a very charred-looking hunk of something, and you caught just a faint whiff of something sweet. Honey. Your whole face contorted into a sort of secondhand guilt. It was the ham. “Crap - Shit - Crap -” He waved his hand in front of his face, black curls of smoke coming from the meat gently wafting up. That’s when he caught sight of you, and there was a quick flash of a number of different emotions across his face. Embarrassment, guilt, shame, defensiveness, vulnerability... “I’m so sorry.” He was saying that quite a bit tonight, but this time it was so much more mournful. “I thought the honey was gonna be okay...” You walked into the kitchen, around the little counter above the stove, and stopped no more than an armslength from Danny. “This was supposed to be Christmas dinner. Y’know, like all the stories and stuff.” The sadness flipped, quick like a switch. “What am I gonna do? I screwed this up, and I screwed up dessert and I-”“Wait, there was dessert?” He looked at you, suddenly sheepish. “Yeah, I uh - I made cookies. Sugar cookies.” Quickly, he added, “But I way overcooked them, so now they’re about as edible as a hockey puck.” That didn’t matter to you, though, you realized. It was just the fact that he had even tried. So badly you wanted to call him baby, kiss him and hold him; tell him it was okay and you still loved him and everything would be okay. Love? The thought made you blink. Strong word. You didn’t really know him, but... Huh. Maybe you could love him.
Closing the distance slowly, you put both your hands on his cheeks and lifted his face to lock eyes with him. Dark brown met yours, swimming with uncertainty, and you said, gently, “Danny.” You wanted him here in this moment, because your feelings were quickly bubbling up, and you weren’t about to stop them. “The fact that you put all this money and time and effort into making dinner for me, for Christmas, is one of the sweetest things anyone’s ever done for me.” A corner of his mouth twitched upward in a sort of yeah, okay, sure sort of way. “I like you. So much,” you continued. “This has actually been a lot of fun. Domestic dinner dates are super cute, to me.” A little one-shouldered shrug, and it got a soft chuckle out of him. “Don’t beat yourself up, okay? I am so happy I’m here, and that you made this a date,” you finished. smiling reassuringly, leaning in just a bit to make sure he caught your eyes again. In that moment, you realized just how close you were, where your hands were, and that your face felt just a tad warmer than it did before. That, at least, could be attributed to the smoking hot ham on the stove, but everything else? That was all you. Part of you knew that you should’ve taken your hands off his cheeks, let him go, and helped him clean up. Having green beans and mashed potatoes for dinner wouldn’t be so bad.Yet instead, you leaned in and kissed him, soft and sweet and just a bit hoping. When his hands found your waist, the butterflies exploded from your stomach and through your entire body.

@ravings1   Ravings is staring out the window and blinks with pencil in hand and paper on desk. Natsuki moves beside his desk and leans back on empty desk. N: Hey, Ravings? R: He looks over at Natsuki and smiled setting down his pencil, “Hey Natsuki, how are you doing?” N: She glances away with a small smile plastered on her face seeing his smile. Her eyes shifted back and her hands move to rest together at her lap. “I'm doing alright.. I was just thinking after school today if we can hang out a little. There's a place near both our houses kinda. R: He still stared steadily with a smile and nodded his head in affirmation, “Sure that seems alright with me.” N: “That's good. Since you don't really walk home with anyone, thought it could be safer for us to do that since you're small.” R: “Well that is sweet of you, thanks Natsuki.” N: Her cheeks darkened briefly from a chaste blush before it vanished at the sound of the class bell giving them pause from their conversation. “Then don't leave right away after school, later!” She walked off briskly as some of the other students left as well while his classmates entered through the other side of the room. As the other students got seated he picked back up his pencil and waited on the teacher. At the end of the day as student's left he headed out the front of the school and smiled spotting Natsuki easily with her pink hair as she glanced around with a look of uncertainty drawn. He walked up to her where his soft paw pads let him unintentionally move with stealth till he was directly to her side and looking up at her. He gave her a second to maybe see him before calling to her. R: “Hey!” N: Her eyes widened as her feet left the ground when she jumped nearly a foot in the air from fright and looking down at him still wide eyed and blushing in embarrassment. “Ravings! Were you trying to look up my skirt!?” R: Smirking slightly pleased with the results he pat her arm lightly for comfort, “No cutie I'm too tall for something like that naturally. But that little jump was adorable to get to see,” he drawled. N: “Cu-” She turned away and crossed her arms, “Dummy, I just thought I stepped on you!” R: “While standing still?” N: Her face darkened again briefly till she pouted, “Th-that's not the point, do you want me to help you walk home or not?” R: “I thought you wanted to hang out for a little on the way to our separate houses?” N: She ducked her head slightly still in a pout but still glanced down at him, “..That's what I meant.” R: He smiled reassuringly up at her and adjusted his backpack on, “Sounds like a plan.” She smiled a little and headed out the school gate with him as she adjusted the single strap of her backpack. Ravings moving a little faster to match her striding pace. R: Want me to carry you backpack? N: She gave an audible scoff, “Its about half the length of your body though.” R: “That's okay,” there was a brief silence “it would be repayment when you accidentally showed me your panties when you leaped.” N: Her step faltered while Ravings kept moving with his little legs, “You- I- I didn't show you my u- underwear..” her voice falling softer so others might not overhear. R: “Sure you didn't” he drawled to tease her. N: “Wait, did you see them?” R: “Mm...maybe.” N: “R-Ravings!” He had glanced back in time to see her backpack coming to him and being caught with an audible “oof”. At the park she moved ahead of him to the swing set as he followed carrying both their bckpacks. R: “So how close is this park from your place?” He sat down on the swing beside her own. N: “Oh I could be home in about 5 minutes, this place is near your home too right?” R: “Y..eah, pretty close by, you picked a good spot to hang at.” She said kinda.. this path will be taking me nearly an extra 20 minutes to get home when I backtrack..He watched her kick at the ground a little to get herself started in being airborne. She seems to hide her more childish side, but this is cute seeing her more relaxed than at school..
They swung quietly beside her, Ravings becoming more airborne like Natsuki was to where they could quietly enjoy the breeze.
N: Hey Ravings. R: He glanced over to her, “Yeah?” N: “I challenge you, if I can leap further than you then you owe me a soda tomorrow for lunch.” R: He smiled, “And what do I get if I win?” N: Mmm.... You don't have to carry my backpack next time we come here. R: He chuckled, “But I didn't mind carrying your bag. Are you using me just to get your soda fix tomorrow?” N: “N-no! I'm gonna go first.” She begun swinging her legs to gain more air while Ravings watched her go. After the first swing Ravings called to her guessing she was mentally counting to 3 or 5. R: “Hey Natsuki.” N: She kept her eyes on the sand ahead of her where she wanted to land going into her second swing, “What?” R: “Problem..” N: “Problem?” She moved her arms from the chain link for the next leap to take off. R: He watched her follow through and just before getting airborne he called after her, “I'll see your panties again.” That made her freeze on her release time as she quickly became flustered and covered the front of her skirt to keep it down as she wound up going straight up then down barely close to two feet from her swaying swing as she turned on Ravings getting ready to leap. N: “Y-You saw!” R: He made his leap easily a foot ahead of her and turned in the sand to smile innocently at her, “Nope.” N: Her face still beat red and sore from losing,“Y-You, pervert!” R: He went to her and hugged her arm resting his cheek to her as he looked up at her steadily while she gazed down flustered. “I wouldn't do that to you cutie. You're my friend and would wanna treat you better than that.” N: She glanced away all of a sudden feeling a mix of guilt for the accusation yet shy for the complement as her voice lowered to a soft, more reasonable tone. “Dummy...” she gave his head a gentle pet, “but thanks..” Ravings closed his eyes in content being pet and purred softly. (End cut scene of her pausing and blushing a little as she just heard the purr and found it cute.)

It's Tendou and his s/o's first Christmas that they're going to spend together at his parent's place and Tendou is super nervous because his whole family is just straight up fucking WILD and he's more afraid that his s/o won't like his family more than he's afraid that his family won't like his s/o, because who's he kidding, she's an absolute gem. Just a cute little scenario for the holidays :) I'm so glad you're back my patron saint
Hi my alias is Bee and after being gone for nearly half a year I’m back and swinging with a 5,000 word Tendou fic yes’m (Also there are a bunch of family head-canons in here for example- Tendou has two sisters and one of them is gay because why not right it’s 2017)
Also Merry Christmas Eve to all you nerds who celebrate it!
Satori stood at his bathroom vanity with his head in his hands. The sink had been running for a while now, unused, because he was far too lost in thought to even realize it was still running. His hair gel was open on the counter, and his toothbrush sat prepared right next to it. He had to get ready, he knew he did, but he was unable to do anything besides stare at himself in the mirror, his vision blurry and skewed from not blinking since he had spaced out.
He must’ve been standing there for a while, minutes, even. The background noise that the running water provided threw him further off loop, and it wasn’t until the bathroom door opened and slammed into his back did he realize that __ had been knocking. When the door knob collided with his spine, he yelped, his hands flying from his hair to the vanity in front of him. It took him a moment to process what had happened before he could compose himself. In the mirror he saw his girlfriend’s face, pale and terrified, but washing over with relief when he made eye contact with her through it and smiled sheepishly.
“Satori, I was knocking forever.” She sighed, stumbling into the bathroom and hugging him from behind. “You worry me sometimes, you idiot.”
“I know, I know.” He had somehow managed to push out a fictitious laugh, and stood up straight. Now that Satori could finally look at himself properly, he noticed that his eye bags were a lot darker than usual.
“That was a really fake laugh, hun. Are you sure you’re okay? If you’re tired or anything I have no problem just pulling up a map to your parents place and driving, if that’s what you’d like.” Hearing the mentioning of his parents place made Satori’s heart stop all over again. That’s what had started his panicking in the first place– The Holidays.
It had been established for months that this was going to be the first Christmas that Satori and __ were going to spend together. In years past they had either parted their ways to visit their respective families, or had just spent it together in the comforts of their own apartment. Although, this year, __ had insisted that they visit Satori’s family. He had met hers before, on countless occasions, actually, but she had never gotten an opportunity to meet his. It wasn’t that Satori had any problem with his family meeting __, she was incredible, he knew without a doubt that they would love her. It was quite the opposite, really. It was a miracle that she put up with him on a day to day basis, but there was no way that she could ever tolerate the likes of his family.
Satori placed his hands on  __’s and gently pushed them away. She shuffled up next to him and sighed, taking his face in her hands instead.
“You look worried.”
“I am worried.”
“Oh?” She smiled, kissing him gently on his lower lip. “Am I really that terrible? Is your family gonna hate me or something?”
“Yeah, absolutely filthy. I can picture their disgust as we speak.” He joked, rolling his eyes and kissing her back. She let out an amused huff.
“Really, Satori, tell me whats wrong. You know you can’t keep shit from me.”
“Unfortunately.” He released himself from her again and grabbed the gel off the counter. He figured if he was just going to stand around, he might as well get ready. There was no escaping this situation, now.
“__, if I’m being honest with you, my family’s a mess.” He sighed, running his gelled hands through his hair. “If we had a sitcom, it would be called, “Terminate The Tendous” ‘cause we need to be stopped.”
“Please.” She hummed, “I doubt you lot are that bad. You’ve met my family before, there’s no way you can get worse than that.”
“Please, you.” Satori finished gelling back his hair and ran his hands under the water, scooting past __ to dry them. “Compared to mine, they’re nothing.”
“Care to tell me what’s so bad about your family? Are they like, serial killer bad or, Aunt Mina has a pinterest addiction bad?” She asked, moving out of Satori’s way as he positioned himself in front of the mirror again.
“Both, but not really both at the same time?” Satori shrugged. “Ah, listen, I’ve dreaded the day that I’d have to tell you this, but I think it’s about time that I’ve told you about them.” He said, in the most pretentious storytelling voice he could muster. She laughed at this, smiling up at him through the mirror.
“Dude, finally. What have we been dating for, five years now? We have our own house plants together but I don’t even know your mom.”
“House plants don’t talk back.” He muttered, barley loud enough for her to hear.
Satori took his time brushing his teeth, __ sitting on the covered toilet seat waiting for him to finish. She looked adorable, he thought. She was wearing a dark green velvet dress that flattered her eyes, her hair in soft curls around her shoulders, bangs being held back with a black hair bow. She was the image of pureness that his family devoured.
“So, I have two sisters, you know that, right?”
“Yeah, the oldest follows me on Instagram, I think.”
“Gre-eat. That would be Hana. She’s five years older than us, and three years older than my other sister, so she’s pretty much always thought she was the absolute shit.” Tendou sighed, trying to talk and adjust his dark green tie, to compliment __’s dress, at the same time. “That, and she happens to be the tallest in the family.”
“Taller than you?” __ gaped, looking up at him from the toilet seat. “How? And why? Can a sister lend me some?” Tendou smiled at this, although it was bitter.
“Never tell her that, please. She’s 6’5, and if you’ve ever seen any of her pictures, she looks pretty normal, but that’s only ‘cause she’s standing next to her husband, who’s 6’11. By the time I was in first grade, she was in fifth, and we barely crossed paths unless she was outside for lunch, and I was at the playground, or something. She had reached 5’2 by then and since I was me, a disgusting little mushroom boy–”
“You were not a disgusting little mushroom boy.” __ interrupted.
“I was a disgusting little mushroom boy. Anyway, she would always scope the playground to see if kids were bullying me and would throw them into the wood chips if they were. You would think people would stop messing with me since I had fucking Goliath following me around, but nah, being protected by my older sister made me even more susceptible to bullying, I guess. But yeah, to this day she still thinks she’s my actual Lord and Savior, so expect for her to examine you until your ears bleed, I’m sorry.”
“She sounds awesome, hun. I think her and I are gonna get along just fine.” She laughed, and Satori grimaced.
“Ye-eah, I’m sure you will.”
“What about your other sister? Is she as bad too?” __ added, sarcastically.
“Worse.”
“Worse? Oh no, don’t tell me, she works at an animal shelter, right? Donates to the church? Helps starving children in third world countries?”
“Harhar, very funny.”
“Thanks!”
“My sister, Aya, is her name, was a wrestler in high school. She went to a different high school than me and Hana, at birth she had somehow dodged the Tendou family gene of creepy ass eyes and permanent scrawniness, so I think she kept her distance from us ‘cause she didn’t want to be known as related to us, y’know.”
“I doubt it, Satori. And could you stop being self deprecating?”
“Never. But, she was, and still is, this really pretty girl, y’know, always looks really well put together, but the moment she opens her mouth– it’s hard to tell the difference between her and some fifty year old guy at a bar on Friday night.”
“Quite the analogy.” __ added.
“I’m not joking. She’s horrible. You think I don’t have a filter?  She’s been kicked out of public places more times than I can count on my two hands. She was always a gem though. Despite being kind’ve an ass and pretty immature until her twenty first birthday, she knew how to beat people up, and got like, a million trophies for it, so my parents never really said anything about it.”
“Y’know, Satori, you’re making me think one of your sisters is gonna have me in a choke-hold while the other asks me for my social security number.” __ laughed, finally standing up and helping Satori fix his tie. He hadn’t even noticed that he completely unknotted the thing.
“I won’t be surprised. I’m so nervous, __, I’m so sorry. Is it too late to cancel and just go visit your parents instead?”
“Yes, its too late! We already promised that we’d spend the holidays with your parents, and spring break with mine. Besides, they live six hours away from here, we’re not prepared for that.”
“I know, I know, I’m sorry-y.”
“Stop saying you’re sorry! I have a thick skin, you know! I’m not gonna die. Watch–”
Satori had zoned out from what __ had said next. He watched her as she fixed his tie, glancing up at him every so often and smiling wider. He felt his heart squeeze again. He hated to be overdramatic, he really did, but he couldn’t help but feel like he was throwing his beautiful, little beacon of light into a gladiator stadium, and his sisters were just the opening act.
“Satori, are you really that embarrassed of your family? If they’re anything like you, I’m sure they’re incredible.” __’s words snapped him out of his daze again. He shook his head, and kissed her forehead after she tightened his tie up.
“Honestly, I’m kinda being dramatic.” He shrugged, pushing __ out of the tight enclosure of the bathroom and proceeding to follow her out. “But they don’t know when to stop. I’m sure you’ll find Aya hysterical, her and her girlfriend both– but I know she’s gonna ask you all those weird-ass questions like-”
“Are you a virgin?”
“Exactly.”
“Please, I’ve been preparing myself for these questions since we first started dating.” __ scoffed, slipping on ballet flats over stocking clad feet at the doorstep. Satori sighed, leaning against the frame of the door. He watched her pick up the two carry-on bags, to which Satori hurriedly grabbed from her. She smiled up at him wordlessly for a moment, then shook her head.
“I’m gonna be fine, Satori. Oh! And I’m driving. I don’t want your nervous ass to crash before I ever get to meet your gem of a family.”
She threw a heavy pea-coat over her shoulders before shuffling out of the door, Satori close to follow. As she started the car up, he tossed the luggage into the trunk, then filing into the passenger seat. She already had the music going, one hand on the steering wheel with the other creeping towards his thigh. She winked at him, and for the first time today, he genuinely laughed. __ smiled, for that was her plan all along, and gave his thigh a squeeze.
“I can’t believe we’re going to meet your family and you’re the nervous one.”
“Okay, okay, I’m not as nervous anymore.” Satori interrupted, placing his hand over __’s. “Ju-ust slightly perturbed. How about that?”
“Better, I guess. You still have two hours to worry your little heart out.”
Tendou sighed, fluttering his eyes shut and leaning back on the car seat. A song he didn’t know the name of droned in the background, just loud enough for him to hear, but not loud enough for him to focus on. To keep himself awake, he drew lazy circles into the palm of __’s hand, to which he heard her giggle about. He could feel his pulse in his neck, despite still being two blocks away from his own apartment. He had a feeling that this week was going to be a long one.
Satori promised himself that he would stay awake, but somehow he dozed off. __ said he was out cold twenty minutes after they left, which wasn’t odd, she said, many people crash due to stress. Satori had a hard time believing that, though. If anything, he expected himself to be puking out the window once they hit the highway. They were ten minutes away from his parents, now, and Satori was fixing his hair in the small overhead mirror of __’s car.
“Sorry I wasn’t awake to bother you.” He said, out of the blue. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw __ shake her head.
“It’s fine, it gave me time to lip-sync along to the Arctic Monkeys without being made fun of.”
Satori would’ve responded to her comment much faster, if it weren’t for the fact that __ was taking the exit straight towards the small town he grew up in. A nervous, agitated groan left him the moment she started down the road that lead towards his neighborhood.
“Does being here regurgitate bad childhood memories or something? Or do you really just hate your family?”
“Both.”
“You’re gonna have to take me to Shiratorizawa while we’re here, or at least drive me by the campus. That and like, Wakatoshi’s old house. Maybe even Tooru’s, too.”
“Oh, it’s that a little creepy, __ dearest?”
“No! I’m just saying, I’ve never been around here before, I wanna know how you and all our friends grew up, that’s all.”
“It’s literally nothing special, it’s farm, more farm, small convenience store, high school, farm, farm, bigger high school, convenience store. It’s like this for about ten miles.” __ laughed. She grew up further up the coast, and when they first met, she told him that she had “never seen a pig in person.” Satori made note to take her to see one of those while they were out here, too.
Ten minutes had passed quicker than Satori preferred. Before he knew it, they were pulling into his neighborhood, and with each turn __ took, the more and more anxious he got. He didn’t mind vocalizing his anxiety, either, sighing melodramatically each time the GPS blurted out another demand.
“Y’know Satori, this would be a lot easier if you could just tell me which way to turn to get to your house.” She added, lowering the volume without even looking at her device.
“I know, but I don’t wanna.”
“Whelp, seems like you don’t have to anymore.” She laughed, stopping almost abruptly and taking a sharp turn into a driveway, his driveway. He whined, sinking lower into his seat and covering his face with his hands.
“__, please don’t do this to me, my beautiful little angel baby, you’ll get torn apart in there.”
__ said nothing in reply, kicking her car door open and kissing Satori on his forehead, the softness of her lip balm leaving an imprint.
“C’mon, ya big baby. I’m sure your parents are waiting.”
Satori nodded, unbuckling himself and hesitantly exiting the car.  __ was waiting for him, so he took her hand in his own, and walked her up the pavement towards his doorstep.
Before either one of them could even reach the door, however, it had already been slammed open, incoherent, excitable female voices ripping through the house. A brunette woman popped her head out and gasped, then all but screamed as she darted out the door into the snow in sock clad feet and straight for __. __ almost yelped as she was suddenly picked up by the woman, who was taller than her by a foot, at least. She couldn’t quite tell what the woman was rambling on about, but out of the corner of her eye she saw Satori blushing profusely into the palm of his hand, shaking his head and waiting for whoever this woman may be to put her down. All __ could do in that moment was hug the woman back, despite not even knowing her. She had to be one of Satori’s sisters, or at least she assumed so. At first glance, __ saw that she was a tall woman, not as tall as Satori, but she was up there. She had tumbling brown hair that fell down towards her waist, and when __ placed her hands on the woman’s back, she realized she had quite the muscular build. She figured it had to be Aya, she fit Satori’s description quite well.
When she was finally set down by the woman, __ noticed her eyes. Like Satori said, they weren’t as wide, or tired as his, they were almond shaped and beautiful. They were light green and complemented the freckles on her cheeks.
“Oh my god, you’re so adorable.” Aya was beaming, her hands traveling from __’s back to her shoulders, then eagerly grasped __’s hands. “I’m Aya, Satori’s older sister, it’s so nice to meet you, sweetheart.”
__ giggled and shot a glance up at Satori, who was shifting his weight from leg to leg awkwardly in the corner. It shocked him to see her smile, genuinely, and not out of sheer nerves.
“I’m __, it’s really nice to get to meet you after all this time, Aya.”
“Oh, this little idiots been talking about you for years.” Aya rasped, shuffling over the snow to pull her brother into a choke-hold momentarily. “You wouldn’t believe the things that came out of this kid’s mouth before y’all were even dating.” She laughed, ruffling with Satori’s hair before pushing him away, then pulled __ into another hug. She heard Satori sigh, then mutter something about getting the bags from the trunk. Aya paid no mind to it, and lead __ into the house, never losing her grip on the former’s hand.
The moment __ stepped foot into Satori’s house, she couldn’t help but smile. It was very his taste, she thought, from the murals of mountains of the walls to the several misplaced christmas lights hanging across the staircase, it wouldn’t be very hard for her to classify this place as ‘Tendou’.
Aya had lead her into the kitchen, next, exclaiming at the top of her lungs to, “Look at Satori’s girlfriend!” __ felt her cheeks warm up slightly, the exposure not necessarily agitating her, but definitely embarrassing her. A woman with short brown hair examined her next. She had the same, sleepy ruddy eyes as Satori had. __ noticed her eyebrow quirking upwards in the same way Satori’s did when he was examining something, and she found it hard not to call it cute. __ also noticed that nobody else in the house was red-headed like Tendou was. The middle aged man and woman standing by the stove, presumably Satori’s parents, we’re both brunettes, as well as both the sisters, despite who __ thought was Hana, whose hair was a bit lighter than the rest. Despite that one key factor, they all definitely had a familiar resemblance. __ couldn’t help but smile.
“Hi, uhm, I’m sorry. Satori’s still outside ‘cause I was kinda mauled.” __ stammered, and Aya laughed, her free hand slapping her on the back. “I’m __, it’s really nice to get to meet you guys, finally.”
Everybody had gotten up on their feet, and came over to the place where __ stood. Satori had come back with the luggage, and shuffled over to __’s side. He protectively nudged Aya out of the way and replaced her hand with his own. __ looked up at him for a moment, a smile toying on her face.
“They’re great.” She mouthed, before his mother pulled her into a hug.
Satori watched as his mother started talking her ear off, and he started blushing again. He knew tonight was going to be too long– full of repressed memories and everyone taking a stab at him to see how embarrassed he could get, and how fast.
Meanwhile __ found herself being crushed in another grasp, and wondered how everyone in this family had such strong forearms.
“Satori’s so in love with you…” His mother muttered into her ear, and for some reason, despite knowing this for years, __ felt herself get fuzzy. She merely hummed, not knowing how to reply.
“You really make him so happy… when he talks about you I swear I’ve never seen him happier, except for maybe volleyball in highschool, but that’s a different story.”
__ laughed, breaking the hug with his mother and giving him a look. He was talking with Hana, now, who really was as tall as Tendou said she was. Although, she noticed he kept sending her nervous glances every so often, as if monitoring the conversation she was having.
“It really is a pleasure to finally get to meet you, Mrs. Tendou. I really wanted to meet you before, but Satori was more nervous about me meeting you lot than I actually was.”
“Oh of course he was, that little stinker.” His mother shook her head and smiled fondly, first at __, then at Satori. “And please, don’t call me Mrs. Tendou, call me Mom.”
Satori was deep in conversation with Hana, at this point. She was asking him how school was going, how paying rent was going, and everything in between about being an adult. She hadn’t asked any questions about __, yet, but he supposed she was saving those for later. There was a moment of brief pause in their conversation, and that’s when Satori heard it, the mom comment. Suddenly his heart stopped, and Hana must’ve picked it up too, because she laughed under her breath and nudged him in the ribs.
“Oh… my go-od…” Satori muttered, slinking up to __’s slide and throwing an arm over her shoulder.
“Hi Mama.” Satori butted in, throwing his other arm around his mom and kissing her chastely on the cheek.
“Hi honey! I was just talking to your angel of a girlfriend over here.”
“I know.” He muttered through clenched teeth. She shot him a knowing, motherly look, then patted him on the back.
“We’re having dinner in ten minutes, why don’t you two go throw your things up in Satori’s old bedroom? Just so it’s out of the way for later.” His mother suggested.
“On it.” Satori nodded at __ to follow him towards the front door and the stairs, but he noticed that Hana had stretched a leg out to block the hall.
“Need any help?” She said, just sarcastically enough for it to pass as a nice gesture. “Y’know, at least one of you looks like you’d need help.”
Satori knew exactly what Hana was going at, and he hated it. He shot her a look, then glanced over at __, who had picked up on her all but selfless gesture as well. Instead of shooting a witty response back or defending herself like she always had with Satori, he was surprised to watch her cover her mouth, then laugh. This must’ve caught Hana off guard, too, because she stood up straight in the doorway and silently went to pick up a bag from the mudroom.
“That wasn’t all that funny.” He said, nudging __ in the hip once Hana was up the stairs.
“I know, it wasn’t, but that’s such a you thing to say?”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“I dunno. You. Your sense of humor, your way of speaking. I absolutely love it.”
The ten minutes had come and gone. The bags were placed in Satori’s old bedroom– not without being relentlessly teased about the anime posters hanging above his bed, though. Hana thought it would be funny to show __ just how many figures he had stock piled in his closet, to which __ didn’t really mind. Hana was doing it to tease her, really. Asking her questions about the weird habits Satori has, and how she deals with it. Poking fun at his appearance just to see what __ would do. (In that point in time, she just dismissed all the nerdy things she teased him about and shook her head obviously when Hana mocked his appearance.) It really amused Satori, how Hana could be so protective about him when it came to other people teasing him, but absolutely ruthless when it came to her teasing him herself.
Sitting at the dinner table, Satori found it harder to eat than usual. __ was doing just fine, though. She was having an offhand conversation with Aya in between bites of a roll, covering her mouth with her hand politely as she spoke. If it weren’t for the drastic physical differences between __ and the rest of his family, a stranger would’ve thought that this was __’s family, and Satori was the awkward boyfriend.
The rest of the conversations at the table fell quiet, everybody focused on their own thing to actually slip a conversation through. Well, that’s what Satori had thought, until Aya cleared her throat and, slowly but surely shouted, “Satori? When are you gonna pop the question already?”
Satori stiffened in his seat. If he didn’t have an appetite before, he definitely didn’t have one now. He noticed __ tense up too, covering her mouth with her hand and averting her eyes from the table to her lap. Yes, this was what he had been afraid of.
Aya’s girlfriend hit her on the arm. “You can’t just ask that at the dinner table!” She hissed, only for Aya to shrug
“I do what I want. The kids a keeper. I mean, just look at her.
__ didn’t look so great in the moment, though. Her eyes were blown wide, darting everywhere besides the faces of his family members.
“Aw, she doesn’t look too great.” Hana chuckled. “Does that mean that she doesn’t want to get married?”
Satori didn’t know whether to tell off Aya, Hana, or get his mom involved. He would’ve gone with his mother, but she looked amused, almost as if she was going to throw in a comment of her own. His dad couldn’t care less– this was the type of situation he’d call, “Lady Talk.”
“It’s not that I don’t want to get married to Satori.” __ added, uncovering her mouth. “It’s just that you guys rea-ally have a knack for saying embarrassing things at embarrassing times. Jeez!”
“You sure that’s all?” Hana teased.
“Yes, that’s all. I get that you guys are all real protective of him, with his past and him being the youngest and everything, but I can assure you that I’d never do anything to purposefully hurt him.” __ shrugged, leaning over in her seat to peck Satori on the cheek. “And for the record, we happen to get along ‘cause I’m a nerd too, so your plan to embarrass him kinda failed. There isn’t much that we haven’t shared with each other… ah… I hope that answers some of your other questions, too.” She winked at Hana, who’s smirk had faded into a dumbfound frown.
It was Satori’s turn to flush red now, he couldn’t bring himself to look over at his girlfriend, and only focused of Hana’s face. He was expecting another insult, or possibly a curse, but all she did was hold her hand up slowly, and high-fived __ from across the table.
“Atta girl, that’s what I like to hear.” Hana shouted, slapping __’s hand just a little too hard for both __’s and Satori’s liking.
“Great, great. I mean no disrespect or anything towards you, by the way. I really respect that are aren’t careless about your brother decisions.”
“Really? Thank you! Aya’s right, pop the question!” Hana shot a glance at Satori, who had buried his head in his hands at this point. Satori should’ve known all along that he shouldn’t be worried about his family embarrassing __. He should’ve known that the tables would’ve turned right back on him.

have you ever been in love?
Gus grows quiet, the kind of silence you might hear ( or lack thereof ) on a long car ride, where one person is staring out the window into the dark nothingness. Where you can almost visualize something running at the edge of the woods along side the moving vehicle, but you blink and nothing is there. So you sit there, quiet and somber in that strange moment. “No.” He finally says, in the kind of tone where his voice might almost crack, it wavers for a hint of a second; a beat of the heart.
“Love don’t hurt, so no ain’t ever been.” There was someone at one time or another, but they’re long gone to the wind, they had better things to do once it was all said and done….besides…it wouldn’t have ever worked out anyway. They deserved better than someone who wasn’t worth much, someone who couldn’t get his life together long enough to do anything worthwhile. Gus says he tries but does he really ever, did he really ever? He’s still working as a two bit mechanic and now has a child in tow that he barely takes care of.The quiet is stifling now, like static in the air that raises the little hairs across his arm and the back of his neck. He remembers how they met, at a bar, like all trashy love stories start. ( sorry, not love stories because this isn’t one, right? ) Stupid drunk and impossibly happy for a fleeting few moments in time, as fleeting as the crackle of lighting ( probably just as powerful too ) the guy had been the first man Gus thinks he really ever wanted to be with, honest to god in the sense that he’d ever been with a women and lord knows he’d been with plenty of women. He was something different, and if you asked Gus just what it was about it he wouldn’t of been able to tell you– he just was. He was strong in an emotional sense, powerfully aware of himself and everything Gus aspired to be, he believed in himself just as surely as Gus didn’t believe in himself. Gus doesn’t know where it all went wrong, ( it probably didn’t help keeping it all a secret ) but he knows that the fault lies in his hands, he can fix a truck but he couldn’t fix whatever it was that BROKE between them. He hasn’t heard from the other in years, it’s probably for the best, he’s worse off than he was before after all. Sometimes he thinks about him though, whenever he hears a laugh that sounds a bit too brazen and still sugary sweet; but those thoughts slip away as fast as the laughter dies down.Yeah, he’s never been in love. It doesn’t hurt…right?

From the Shadows (A Stenbrough Hogwarts!AU)
Chapter I: The Wolf's Not Dead
Pairings: Bill Denbrough/Stan Uris, Richie Tozier/Eddie Kaspbrak
Fic Summary: Bill can’t shake the feeling that Stan Uris is hiding something. However, the closer he gets to Stan the faster their world crumbles and as more is unravelled he comes to learn that the darkness doesn’t only live in Stan’s eyes, but in the shadows themselves.
Seventh year had creeped up on them so quickly that Bill could hardly believe it. Only yesterday was he a gangly twelve year old at King’s Cross Station being bid farewell by his mother; a child completely made up of anxiety, doubt, and confusion. But everything had worked itself out. He wasn’t that same kid anymore, his life had completely changed, from the worst to maybe the best it had ever been.
From being lanky and awkward, he had become incredibly tall and his shoulders had spanned out strong and wide against his somewhat narrow waist, his hair was short but not incredibly so, maybe a little past his ears. He always wore rings on his fingers and his ears were pierced, one at the bottom and two at the top, just like Richie’s. It was his idea after all. Late at night, after everyone else had gone to sleep during break they both sneaked out, black hoodies over their heads and sneakers stepping silently on the pavement as they dashed off towards Bill’s car; a birthday present from his mom. It hurt like a bitch for Ritchie while Bill’s was almost completely painless. Afterwards they just stayed in Bill’s car, the radio playing softly in the background as they stared up at the stars through the sunroof, the blanket Bill brought strown over both of them.
Back then it was only the two of them, then Eddie came along and god was Richie completely smitten with him. It was like love at first sight. Sure, they had known of each other since they were younger, but never had they actually met and once they shared a class and became partners for a project it was over. Seeing the two of them together was surreal at first, with Richie being six feet and Eddie staying at a consistent height of five foot eight for the last three years. Richie teased him for it and in Eddie’s eyes he could see murderous intent behind them every time it was remotely brought up. However, Bill and him got along surprisingly well. They had become like brothers to each other in the short amount of time they had known one another. When Eddie had problems he always came to him, especially when it involved Richie. He was almost like the lifeline between them, always leveling the playing field when one of them fucked up.
Eddie wasn’t the only change though. Ever since fifth year all three of them had been made into prefects; and along the way more people were added to their little family. Mike, Beverly and Ben were all cool people and they had molded to each other as if they had known each other their whole lives. There wasn’t a moment where they weren’t together one way or another. Usually it was Richie and Eddie together, but ever since they joined Bill didn’t feel as alone anymore. They were always there for each other, even when one wasn’t available there was always another to pick you up. They were his family away from home and he was so grateful for them.
Being in different houses however always sucked, as most nights they had to coordinate with each other on which common room to sleep over at for the night. Usually it was Gryffindor tower as both Beverly and Bill belonged there and it was always the most welcoming of the three, besides Hufflepuff. Everyone knew them there anyway and treated them as one of their own, even Richie. For someone who constantly partied and and barely did anything to study most of the time, Bill was surprised he wasn’t a Gryffindor. For Richie it was all about connecting with people and having a good time, he always stood up for the little guy even if it made him a public enemy. But when he spoke and actually put in thought to his incoherent ramblings and jokes he could see exactly why he was a Ravenclaw. Richie was nothing short of genius and passed all his classes effortlessly, and even helped them on the side whenever they asked. Mike was more reserved however, for him it wasn’t as easy but he was just as good as Richie, even if he actually had to study for it. All in all they were a well rounded group.
Eddie and Beverly were usually the ones who planned things but ever since Beverly was made head girl, there wasn’t a lot time for them to hang out, and consequently Eddie and Mike were now the ones in charge. Saturdays they were supposed to meet in the morning for breakfast, and hang out for the rest of the day wherever they planned and already he was late. He stayed up all night doing homework and when he woke up it was already ten am; one hour late. He’d be surprised if they were all there waiting for him still.
Slipping on his t-shirt and his bomber jacket he ran down the stairs, his hair whipping behind him as he dashed by the first years. The stairs were going to change soon and he needed to get there before they switched and he had to wait another five minutes. Breakfast was over in an hour and he didn’t have time to spare.
With a buzz he heard another text message come in.
My Favorite Boy: “Dude, where are you? Bev keeps bitching about family bonding time being wasted.”
Big Bill: “Sorry. Woke up late. I’m almost there.”
My Favorite Boy: “She’s scary when she’s angry… Don’t tell her that, though. She’d kill me.”
Big Bill: “Probably. I’m right here in the hall anyway, three more minutes. I promis—” With a clang, his phone went flying out of his hands as he bumped into someone.
His cheeks burned up as he looked down and saw none other than Stanley Uris. Tan skin, caramel curls, with a nose piercing, and a leather jacket. Every person’s fantasy at Hogwarts, and he had just managed to not only bump into him but also send his book flying halfway across the floor.
Stan wasn’t just any student. He was the head boy, and the proud leader of Slytherin. However not by his choosing; people naturally just looked up to him. He mostly kept to himself and was close to no one, but his grades and his ability to always win made him a strong candidate for head boy, and just this year, when it was announced, it surprised absolutely no one. Except maybe Richie who thought he was sure fire to get the spot, but ultimately lost to “the hot pureblood asshole”. Bill couldn’t agree more with the title. Stan was hot no doubt, but his uptight nature and the way he held himself made everyone believe that there really wasn’t anyone who could ever measure up to him; and he let it be known every time he picked up his latest conquest just to dump her a couple of weeks later. Stan wasn’t one for monogamy, at least not long term, and every girl who had ever been with him ended up heartbroken. It didn’t stop Bill, or anyone else from looking though.
Stan merely looked up at him, his eyebrow arched condescendingly and his lips pulled into a slight frown.
“I-I-I’m so-orry. I w-wasn’t paying attention and did-dn’t see y-ou.” Bill said embarrassed, his cheeks getting redder when Stan merely stared at him strangely.
The silence stretched between them awkwardly before Stan crouched down and picked up Bill’s phone, while he scrambled to pick up his book on the other side. Bill was surprised when he found birds on the cover, as Stan didn’t seem one for pleasantries or cute animals.
“I-I’m sorry again. I really didn’t mean to b-bump into you.”
“I know. It’s fine, now if I could get my book back that’d be great.” Stan said courtly, his head held high and his eyes cold.
His every movement was calculated and controlled while his tone never strayed far from slight annoyance and complete apathy.
Bill had never met such an intimidating person before.
“Ye-eah, sorry. Here you go. Sorry for that.” Stan rolled his eyes before retrieving his book, the look he gave him almost making Bill want to crawl into a hole and die of embarrassment.
“You know, you apologize too much.” Stan said.
He gripped the book to his chest before giving Bill’s phone back, his cold fingers pressing slightly into his palm as he placed it there. A jolt of electricity ran down his spine at the touch and from being in such close proximity to this god of a man. Bill could only stare awestruck as he watched Stan fix his fringe exasperatedly before walking past him, their shoulders brushing against each other and making him stumble slightly on his feet. Looking back he briefly saw Stan stare back at him with a slight smirk to his lips, and Bill quickly looked away, his face burning up at the thought.
Stan was weird…but not his kind of weird. Everybody knew that. He was the Casanova of the school. The straight, perfect elite who mostly looked out for himself and kept his eyes on the prize. Not part of a misfit group of teenagers that had movie marathons almost every weekend and were constantly messing around making fool’s out of themselves in public. That statement mostly referenced Richie of course.
He snapped out of it and made his way to the great Hall.
When he got there almost everyone had finished their food, except maybe Eddie who had just gotten his.
“Finally, Billy! Where have you been?” Beverly exclaimed, her eyes lighting up as soon as she saw him.
“I w-woke up late. Sorry guys.”
“Took you long enough. I was starting to miss you more than Eddie’s mom.”
“Do you ever shut up. I swear to God.” Eddie grimaced, pinching the bridge of his nose.
“No, and neither did your Mom last night, babe.”
Eddie’s face contorted into disgust just as Richie and Mike burst into laughter. It wasn’t only Richie who found the childish jokes funny, as Mike always chimed in with his own, usually aimed at Beverly or Richie’s own parents. Though his were always a bit more mild.
“Keep it up trash mouth and pretty soon I’m going to start dating Bill. He actually knows how to treat a guy.” Eddie said smugly, spooning his porridge.
“I knew it! You’ve wanted to fuck Bill this whole time! If I’m honest, I’ve always wondered what he looked like down there…”
“Ew, Richie.” Beverly scrunched up her face.
“O-okay, I know everyone’s interested, but enough about m-my genitals. What are we doing?”
“The plan was to have a horror movie marathon. It’s October, we might as well make the most of it.” Ben chimed in, “We could also make Halloween arts and crafts.”
“Arts and crafts? What are we? Twelve?”
“Don’t be rude, Richie. I actually think that sounds fun.” Eddie smiled at Ben across the table. His enthusiasm at the thought was apparent.
“So, it’s settled. Movies later on and then arts and crafts. What about now though? We could go down to the quad and hang out for a while. Some of the students are putting on a short play, apparently Hocus Pocus is the theme this year. It could be fun.” Mike said softly, wrapping his arm around Beverly.
“Yeah, I-I’m down.” Bill said, absentmindedly scrolling through his phone.
“Hell yeah. Nothing like watching Hocus Pocus while Eddie hocus’ my pocus, am I right, guys?” Richie brought his hand up but it was ultimately shoved away by Bill, a faintly annoyed expression on his face.
“That doesn’t even make sense, Richard.”
“What did I say about the full name thing, Edward?”
“Don’t say stupid shit and maybe I won’t have to use it.” Eddie shrugged, a faint smile on his face.
On a day like this nothing beat being outside and enjoying the sun. Even if he didn’t want to, the group always found a way to drag him outside, one time they dragged him out by texting him that Ben bought nachos for everyone and that if he didn’t get there in five minutes Mike would eat them. It was the group’s inside joke that Bill was the vampire of the group, always staying indoors and studying, and when he wasn’t studying he was helping out first years or writing. For Bill, being busy and helping others was part of his job and he felt it was his duty to do what was expected of him to his best ability. Not only that but apart from all the other Losers he was mostly a recluse. Everyone knew him but he didn’t go out of his way like Beverly or Richie to make himself known so intimately. Richie would joke with anyone, and in a crowd or group everyone would flock around him, laughing and talking like old friends. Even Ben was more socially adept than him seeing as he had a bunch of acquaintances all over the school, but Ben was such a sweet guy that it wasn’t even surprising. Bill wasn’t funny, or outgoing, or super smart, he wasn’t even charming, he just stuttered a lot and was mediocre at partly everything. The only person who he could almost relate to was Eddie, and even he was good at bossing people around and getting what he wanted. So even that was a far stretch.
Walking with the basket in his hand, Eddie and Beverly wasted no time setting up the multiple plush quilts and pillows on the ground before they all took their respective seats. Like always Eddie and Richie were inseparable, while Beverly sat with Ben and Mike took his seat with Bill. As the students set up the play they all laid down, their hands linked with one another on the quilts. Beverly’s were always cold, while Mike’s were warm. It always made him a great cuddler in his opinion.
“You know, I always forget how much I miss you guys throughout the week. We barely see each other unless it’s at lunch or in class. I miss hanging out all the time and doing stupid stuff.” Beverly said sadly. Bill could feel her grip tighten on his hand. “It feels like we’re growing up too fast… I don’t want it to end. I don’t want to say goodbye to all of this.”
Richie sat up, his hair slightly sticking up at the back, and his sweater wrinkled.
“Woah, okay, where is this coming from, Bev? We see each other all the time. You and Bill literally live in the same tower. Me and Ben still do the whole newspaper thing, and Mike and Eddie are always hanging out a-and doing whatever the hell they do! We’re not going anywhere.”
“Yeah, but when was the last time we sat down for more than two minutes without mentioning something about the future or how much pressure all our classes are on us right now? The year’s only just begun, but it’ll be over before we can even catch our breath. We’ll have to be adults and get jobs and move away… We’ll forget about each other.” Beverly sat up too and the rest of the Losers did the same. Everyone not only looked concerned but saddened at the thought of forgetting and moving on without one another. They were each other’s life, and the thought that they wouldn’t be a part of one another’s lives was an atrocity neither of them wanted to think of.
“Beverly, none of us will forget. You’re like my sister—you are my sister! You’re as much part of my life as Richie is or any of the others. We’ll always be together.” Eddie smiled at her while placing his hand on her shoulder and bringing her closer into a hug. The rest did the same and piled gently on top of her, a warm sigh escaping each one of them as they squeezed just a bit tighter. Maybe enough that what Beverly said wouldn’t happen.
“Guys, as sweet as this is, I can’t breathe.” Beverly said between laughter and slowly each one of them detached from one another, a smile on each of their faces.
“Eddie’s right. We’ll always have each other, even when we’re old and withered. We’ll probably die next to each other, and get buried next to each other too.” Richie said fondly, wrapping his arms around Eddie and kissing the top of his head.
Just as he said that, the stage lit up and all of them got into their respective positions. Eddie lay his head on Richie’s lap while Beverly cuddled up next to Ben under his arm, Mike and him just resorted to propping up pillows under both of their heads and sharing a blanket.
“Emily? Emily?!”
“Emily? Elijah! Elijah, has thou seen my sister, Emily?
“Nay, but look. They conjure.”
“Oh God, the woods! Emily!”
“She’s done for.”
“Not yet! You wake my father! Summon the others! Go!!” a boy that Bill could faintly remember as Vincent ran off the stage and off to the background where the scenery changed to woods. It seemed this year’s club had done a great job.
As the play progressed he could see Eddie get more and more sleepy, and when he got like that he resorted to aggressively cuddling Richie. It started with his head on Richie’s lap, then his hands tangled in Richie’s sweater, then he would lay on his stomach and wrap his hands around Richie’s waist just to pull him down and lay on his chest. It was sweet but also incredibly scary seeing how much power Eddie had over Richie. He basically melted in Eddie’s hands.
However, throughout the play Bill felt the itching sensation that someone was watching him. It started off soft but eventually got painstakingly difficult to pretend like the feeling was just a coincidence.
Slowly he scooted closer to Mike and got his attention.
“For the past hour I’ve felt like s-someone is watching me, and I know it sounds stupid but I can’t shake it off.”
Mike’s eyebrows scrunched up before he started looking around, immediately his face relaxed and he nudged Bill with his shoulder.
“Be discreet, but I think I know who it is.” Bill’s head immediately snapped to the left and from the corner of his eyes he could see Mike sigh and rub his temples. “I said be discreet, jesus christ.”
But it didn’t matter. Bill had a good look of who just it was. It was only a glance but the same caramel curls as before were easily recognizable. Stan sat atop one of the tree branches, sketching along in his notebook while below Florence and Jesse, two other Slytherins, sat talking to one another. They were all in quidditch and sometimes Bill did see them together, but mostly Stan was alone. The strange part was that Stan wasn’t involved in the conversation at all, he was completely focused on the notebook in front of him. It was the same notebook with the birds as before. Bill stared mesmerized, and as he did so Stan looked up, their eyes catching and staying on each other for a while before Stan ultimately looked back down again. Again he saw the same small smirk that he did in the hallway, and he could barely keep himself from smiling at the thought of Stan Uris purposely seeking him out, even if it was just a fantasy.
Back in the dormitories, they were preparing to snuggle up in the lounge in Gryffindor tower. A couple of other students were there but ultimately scattered as the group lay their things on the ground. So far, they had chosen Friday the thirteenth, Halloween, and the Exorcist, all old movies but good nonetheless. As much as Richie tried to hide it, most of the group knew how much he hated horror movies and how easily he got scared. But he always cuddled between Bill and Eddie, Bill’s chest to his back and Eddie on his back, his arm next to Richie’s chest.
It had rained outside, and they were soaking wet. Richie’s long hair was plastered to his face and neck and his glasses were all fogged over. Eddie wasn’t far behind to step through the door, his fringe covering his face. All of them took off their jackets at his request and held them up in front of them, Eddie making a complicated wave and reciting a small charm to produce hot steam from his wand to dry all their jackets and sweaters. As those dried, Beverly and Mike took care of the rest, drying the Losers and then themselves. The school, which had previously been strictly magical, had slowly incorporated things of the muggle world into most of the castle. TVs had been installed, wifi, communication towers, computers and a PA system. Life at Hogwarts had become incredibly modern. Most purebloods had been confused at first at all the technology but eventually everyone warmed up to the idea. Cell phones had become a big thing here as had computers and all new matters of communication. Bill imagined that all office jobs had become ten times easier as soon as the computers were introduced to archive all the information.
“Okay, now that we’re all dry which one are we watching first?” Ben asked as he rummaged through his bag to find them.
Richie made a face, his hands tangled in Eddie’s hair.
“How about none of them?” He said assertively, “You guys forget I have to sleep alone. I’m not watching some creepy girl fuck herself with a crucifix a second time.”
“Wait, what? Which movie is that, because I’m not watching it.” Mike scrunched up his face in disgust.
“The Exorcist, dude. I watched it when I was twelve and it fucked me up,” Richie said. “I say we watch Halloweentown, it’s a classic and it’s family friendly!
“I second that! The Exorcist and Halloween are kind of boring.” Eddie spoke up from his nest in Richie’s arms. He almost disappeared in between the blankets and his curls.
“Too late, I already brought these. We have to watch them.” Ben pouted in his seat.
“Ben, there’s Netflix and we can always watch them online. Creepy, death girls are out and fun, spooky Halloween times are in!” Richie brought out his arms dramatically, a big smile on his face, while in his seat Ben looked disappointed.
Bill looked at Beverly, motioning her to say something.
“We’ll watch Friday the 13th, then Halloweentown and we’ll finish it off with Underwraps, okay? Does that sound good?” Beverly looked around the room, waiting for the approval of the whole group before she went upstairs to get her laptop. Bill watched her go up the stairs, a quiet exasperation in her steps.
Even now, he couldn’t shake off Stan Uris from the back of his mind. Bill had only ever spoken to him a handful of times, and it was years ago when they shared the same classes. Now he was lucky enough to have seen him once. He knew Richie shared a class with him, Alchemy he believed. He was always talking about how prudish Stan was.
“Always so superior,” Richie would say, “He thinks he knows everything. Mister ‘I get perfect grades and I have a mansion and lots of money’. Oh, I’m hot and I know it. Look at me swish my perfect hair while simultaneously making you feel like shit over not being as good as me. Being middle class and mediocre? Never heard of it, I’m too busy being the crown prince of Hogwarts. Being perfect isn’t easy you know? Ugh, don’t touch me, you’ll get my robes dirty with your commoner germs!”
He remembers Eddie rolling his eyes as the walked through the halls on their way to dinner, “Don’t you live in a mansion? You’re a pureblood just like him, and you get perfect grades. Are you sure you aren’t the same person?”
“Mansion’s a misconception. I live in a larger than average house, but it’s not a mansion. We have house elves, sure, but I guarantee you we probably treat them better than Uris does. I actually pity them. Poor elves have to be stuck with that asshole.” Richie huffed, his brows scrunched and his voice getting slightly louder. “I don’t flaunt my superiority to anyone. I make good grades, but it’s not that big a deal. You should see the way he looks at everyone, Eds, as if they’re beneath him. But that doesn’t even matter because all the teachers love him! I’d rather be compared to a slug than him.” He pushed his glasses up, and smirked.
Both him and Eddie looked at each other and shook their heads. Richie was adamant when it came to grudges. When he hated someone, he went all the way, and didn’t waste any opportunity to bash the other person. If he thought they deserved it, he wouldn’t stop until he was satisfied.
He always thought that Richie was exaggerating and was just jealous, but seeing Stan for the first time all those years ago, proved everything to be true. Stan was as equally proud as he was commandeering and beautiful. He looked even better than Richie had described him. His skin was perfect and his hair was always lustrous, tamed but full of life at the same time. But Bill’s favorite part of Stan were his eyes, even past the cold, emotionless glare he could see a soft kindness when he worked with magical creatures of any sort, or when he saw him helping the first years. Stan was actually kind. Except when he wasn't… more often than not Stan barely smiled anymore, and he was even more cold, with his snide remarks biting harder into anyone’s ego and tearing it apart. He was even more quiet in class, refusing or blatantly ignoring his partner when they were forced to pair up and keeping more to himself outside of class. Richie sometimes said he wouldn’t show up to class for days at a time. It was out character, even weirder was how the teachers never mentioned anything. It was like he was a ghost.
Everybody knew Stan was a scholar; not only was he illustrious but he also showed what an exceptional student looked like. Stan was a lot of things… but a slacker was not one of them. It was strange. Richie would joke that he was a death eater, stating that because he was a Slytherin he was probably following in the steps of his ancestors. That he would become the Draco Malfoy of the school and that he’d help bring back Voldemort just as people had done in the past. It was one of the most horrible things Richie had ever said, and none of the Losers found it funny. There were still people with the scars of the war past. So many people had died and so many more were still suffering, to insinuate that Stan wanted a part in any of that and wanted to bring back a fascist mass murderer was insulting and incredibly cruel. There had to be another reason he was constantly going missing.
Just as his brain was starting to get consumed by Stan, Beverly descended down the stairs, her laptop in her arms. They didn’t waste any time taking out the snacks and art supplies and placing them all across the table. While the movie played, Richie stuffed his face with smores as he painted his paper plate. He chose to paint a werewolf, its claws long and jagged and its eyes bright yellow. It was a horrible painting but Ben insisted that it looked great compared to his mummy. Mike painted a skeleton, Eddie a ghost, Beverly a witch with a black cat and Bill decided he wanted to paint a vampire, and if it had curly hair and the same dark eyes as someone he knew then it was merely a coincidence.
As the night dwindled down and more of the students went to sleep, the Losers found themselves tired as well. Ben was already asleep against Eddie and Mike, while Beverly lay back to back with Richie, who held Eddie in his arms. But Bill couldn’t sleep. His eyes were tired but his brain was wide awake.
He moved to a seat by the window, his sketchbook in his hands. He started off drawing his friends in front of him, their sleeping figures brought to life in his book, with stars surrounding them. He sketched the peaceful look on their faces, their hair strewn across the pillows and the gentleness in which they held each other. Then he drew them again as Halloween monsters. The same ones they had chosen for their paper plates. Werewolf Richie with a Hawaiian shirt and his glasses and Mike’s skeleton with his quidditch uniform, while Eddie’s ghost held an ice cream as he levitated of the ground, Beverly flying off on her broom as she held her stereotypical witch hat and and the black cat sitting on the broom behind her, and Ben as a mummy as he carved pumpkins. Bill couldn’t help but draw Uris as well. He drew him like he remembered him, atop the tree with his head buried inside the book, a thoughtful smile to his face and flowers in his hair. He drew him happy, like he thought everyone deserved to be. He drew his face over and over, he drew him with tattoos and with a hippogriff, he drew him until his hand ached. Even though he didn’t know Stan at all, he wanted to. He wanted to be friends and have him be friends with the Losers instead of always being alone. He wondered if he would’ve felt the same if Stan wasn’t attractive, or if there wasn’t such an air of mystery surrounding him. The guilty part of him said yes but Bill knew he wasn’t as shallow as to think that. He knew there was something about Stan that just reeled him in. He had this effect on everyone, where when you saw him you instantly wanted to know more, you wanted to see into his world and be where he was. If Bill didn’t know better he’d say that Stan was the male equivalent of a veela. An enigma no one could figure out and as such, everyone was sucked into the mystery, and lost in the boy himself.
Bill caressed the small spot where Stan’s cheek was, his dark eyes staring back at him when his eyes caught something. Out in the fields there was someone running into the woods. Their cloak shielded their frame and the hood was pulled over their head, making it hard to see who exactly it could be. Bill instantly got up and rushed up to his room and put on his cloak before running back down the stairs and out the door. A student sneaking off in the middle of the night to the Forbidden Forest? Not only was it suspicious but it was dangerous as well. Even though Aragog had died and all the other Acromantulas had been driven out of their nest back in the battle of Hogwarts in 1998, there were other creatures there. It wasn’t safe, and he couldn’t think of one good reason why anyone would want to go there of it wasn’t to stir up trouble.
He ran through the halls, being careful to hide every once in awhile to stay hidden from the cameras. He thought of casting a disillusionment charm, but ultimately decided against it. It would be quick, he’d get the student then escort them back to their dorm and go to sleep. He raced down the remainder of the stairs and dashed out the archway that led to the forest.
The person couldn’t have gotten far.
As he entered the forest he kept his wand at the ready. His breaths were quick and shallow, and became easily visible against the cold October air. The farther he walked into the forest the more his anxiety grew. He didn’t know what or who he’d find and wandering aimlessly with no clear direction on what he was supposed to be looking for only made the fear stronger. Not to mention the trouble he’d get into if he was caught. He was starting to rethink his chivalrous act for one of stupidity.
He ducked through branches, and vines until he came about a clearing. Upon seeing the cloaked figure, he quickly hid behind one of the trunks. It seemed they were petting something but Bill couldn’t see what. Their hands glided through the air before bringing out a piece of meat for the air to eat, in an instant it was gone and from the trees he could hear the faint smack of teeth. He stared perplexed as the figure stroked the air some more and quietly spoke to it, though he couldn’t make out any of the words. It had to be a Thestral. But the chances of a student being able to see one was incredibly rare.
Inching a bit closer he tried to get a good look at the person but as he stepped forward a dead branch underneath his foot crunched loudly, alerting everyone to his presence. Immediately he heard a monstrous shriek and looked up only to see the cloaked figure run further into the woods. Bill wasted no time running after them as they zipped through the trees and jumped over the large roots. Keeping up with them was almost futile and as they rounded a corner and came upon another clearing Bill lost track of them completely.
“Lumos.” He huffed exasperatedly before he waved his wand, the light from the tip highlighting the surrounding area. He turned in his spot, directing the wand in opposite directions to see past the clearing and into the trees, but saw no one. Turning off the light he momentarily saw a shadow, it seemed that the person had been smart enough to use an disillusionment charm and as Bill rounded up to turn around and face them and pull them towards him the person yelled out from the trees.
“Expelliarmus!” His wand went flying and from the trees he saw the figure approach him. They held their wand out aggressively and as they stalked towards him Bill felt the fear in his chest spread, dreading that at any moment the very fear itself would cause his heart to burst in his chest and explode onto the person in front of him. With shaky breaths he watched the cloaked figure dig their wand against his throat before they spoke out.
“Why are you following me?” Bill stared perplexed into the dark face, he had heard that voice before.
“I s-saw you th-throu-ough the window. I-I wa-anted to make s-s-sure you were safe. Y-you shouldn’t be o-out h-here.” Bill stuttered, his throat struggling to speak against the piece of wood pressed against his skin.
The figure relaxed slightly and without haste Bill summoned the wand to him and whipped his wand in the air, effectively creating a small gust of wind that removed the hood from the cloaked figure. Standing in front of him was Stan Uris, his eyes pierced into Bill’s and a small look of surprise adorned his face along with anger. As he stared into his eyes he pushed the wand deeper.
“We just keep bumping into each other, don’t we, William? As much as I enjoy your company,” Stan said sarcastically, a quiet desperation in his eyes, “I’d prefer it if you’d leave. It isn’t safe for you here.”
“If it’s s-so dangerous, then what are you doing h-here? Bill gulped against the wand.
“That’s not something you need to know.” Stan said coldly. In the darkness he could see that Stan’s under eyes were a light, almost clear purple. It wasn’t hard to assume that he had probably been awake all night.
“Actually, I-I do. If Headmaster McGonagall knew you were out here…” Stan rolled his eyes.
“Unlike you, I have clearance to be out here—”
“W-why? Because y-you’re Head Boy and you s-simultaneously run the school a-along with everyone e-else?” Bill looked down at Stan, his mouth pulled into a slight frown. In return Stan’s eyebrows scrunched up in anger and his jaw clenched.
“No, not because I’m Head Boy.” Stan narrowed his eyes before stepping closer. Bill could practically feel his breath on his lips and as he looked down at him he wished that Stan was just a bit closer, just close enough to where he could feel the sensation of Stan’s lips on his own. He was as equally entranced as frightened by the proximity of Stan to him. “There are things you don’t understand.” Stan swallowed before he continued, fear behind his eyes and a fury Bill had never seen before in anyone. “There are things out there that want to hurt us, and Hogwarts isn’t safe. Not anymore.” He looked away as he said that and just as quickly as he did he pulled the wand away from Bill’s throat and stepped away. Bill rubbed at his throat as Stan put his wand away inside the pocket of his robes.
In an instant Stan had pulled the robe’s hood above his head again.
“Come. I’ll walk you back. I don’t want you getting lost and becoming another one of my problems.” Stan huffed as he proceeded to walk past Bill and out of the clearing.
They walked in silence and as they approached Gryffindor tower Bill felt a small sense of sadness. He would probably never speak to to Stan again and he would never be this close to him. He had to make the most of it, he couldn’t let this opportunity slip away.
“Here you are. I’m sure you know how to make your way up to your dorm.” Stan smirked, the same look in his eyes from before. Bill merely nodded. “Well, good night, William.” Stan said courtly. Bill watched him begin to walk away, the panic in his chest drumming loudly in his ears as he fought the desire to run after him. Bill watched him descend the stone steps before ultimately throwing caution out the window and running after him. Just as he had gotten halfway, Bill reached out desperately and grabbed on to Stan’s robes, tugging at his sleeve and sending him slightly backwards. Stan looked up confused and Bill could only stare at him as he struggled to come up with something to say.
When he came out tongue tied, Stan merely stared at him before arching his brows.
“I-I want to be f-friends.” Bill said hurriedly, his eyes searching Stan’s under the candlelight. “Y-you could hang out w-with us Losers. You don’t have to be alone.”
Stan stayed in place, looking up at Bill suspiciously.
“Who said I was alone?” he asked flatly.
“I-I just assumed—” Bill stopped mid sentence, afraid that he had offended him.
Stan examined his face intently before sighing.
“Okay.” Stan whispered in a gentleness Bill had never heard before.
“What?”
“I said okay. I accept your offer. Now let go of me. It’s late and I’d rather get some sleep than just stand here all night.” Stan said annoyed as he yanked his arm softly out of Bill’s grip.
Bill couldn’t help but smile to himself as he watched Stan turn from him and go down the stairs. In excitement he called out to him, “Good night!”
Stan merely raised his hand in response, his back to him as he waved goodbye. Bill waited until he disappeared around the corner before he went back inside. He couldn’t help but feel a rush of happiness as he went to lay down. Stan Uris was his friend…Bill knew he could’ve said no, he could’ve even turned him away but surprisingly he had accepted the offer. He was giddy at the thought and as he stared up at his ceiling he daydreamed of him before he ultimately fell asleep. Caramel curls with dark hazel eyes and smiling lips haunted his dreams, just before being consumed by smoke and the vision of something evil… Something Bill couldn’t explain.
A/N: Honestly, this took forever and I hope it was actually decent and worthy of reading. I don’t know when the next chapter will even be out so don’t even ask because I take forever, lmao. If you like it let me know!!! And if you love it, reblog it!!! I won’t be mad, I promise.

uhh how about Rex for the character meme but if you already got him, Inuyasha?
yEEAAEAEAh this is my first ask so i’ll do rex and honestly if i don’t get any more i’ll just go ahead and do inuyasha too bc its been a long time since ive got to thinkin about that man,,,, my special man,,, (long ass answers under the cut)
Why I like them
MmmMMM he’s very fleshed out like hes fun and entertaining most of the time and when they try to make him be genuine it comes across really nicely and overall hes just a good realistic teenage character
Why I don’t
hes a realistic t,,eenage charac, ter,, ,, im jk like he’s a lot sometimes but thats coming from an adult cuz when i first watched the series as a young teen it was a lot more relatable so basically i think its geared towards a certain age frame and i’m just slightly past that so when he do something stupid i have to mentally scold him like a mom
Favorite episode (scene if movie)
MIND GAMESSSS other notable mentions are lions and lambs and frostbite but those kind of focus on other people and idk theres just somethin i love about dopplegangers messing with peoples heads
Favorite season/movie
the first season honestly,,, the first 10 episodes are so 👌 quality
Favorite line
god i think all the time about “whats the use in winning a war if we cant live with ourselves after” which is said by six but rex says something really good thats kinda?? in the same vein which is “people are people no matter how screwed up they are” and i just,,, cries into a paper cup
Favorite outfit
hhHH i lov the winter clothes in frostbite
OTP
i like circex but honestly my dumbass oc and him are still the original otp
Brotp
rex+noah and rex+ben tennyson hell y eah
Head Canon
god i had a lot back in my hayday but i can’t think of any major ones?? ? this was almost a headcanon right
Unpopular opinion
rex sshoudl have killed the bunny evo idk if he had the Raw Power And Chaotic Energy to match that demi god of strife but someone should have
A wish
let him be hhappy,,,, blease
An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen
please @ god don’t let him lose his memories again i was ssofuckgin emotionalj during the finale when they made it seem like he was really bout to start all over again fuckgG
5 words to best describe them
i assume this means 5 different words but im gonna make it into a sentence; griffin mcelroy dabbing in mbmbam
My nickname for them
back when i was a teen and it was still appropriate for me to say Anythign like this; me and some friends w ould call him sexy rexy but now im his mother [fixes his hair with spit] have a good first day of school dear

princessofwar:
The back of her hand rubbed at her forehead — vain attempt at wiping off the sand, the sweat. Light footsteps follow the outline of the man on the floor ( the slight twinge GUILT keeping her from staring too long ; the anger she held moments prior something she wanted to  F O R G E T  ). “It’s true. Compared to some I’ve met, you are rather nice.” A light quip, one surprisingly coming from a good place, humor hinting at the small smirk that curled her lips.
Jaw clenches at the thought of them — THE EMPIRE. Gaze falls to her now off-white combat boots. Feet dig into the sand before swiping it away     /     a repeated motion, for standing still was never something the princess did quite well.
TOO MUCH TIME TO THINK THEN.
Tumblr media
A genuine smile tugs up her lips before she can stop it, a slight bow of her head. “Well  —— THANKS.” At this point, what use was it to lie ?? He already knew of the basic plans, of the rebellion. “I snuck off to train despite my parents wishes.” A feigned innocence, she shrugs, dark orbs finally back on him. “&& whenever we visited the rebel base I tried to do the same. Most people were afraid to.” Maker forbid they were one to give THE PRINCESS a black eye. “ — but some weren’t … thankfully.”
A light chuckle parts her lips, gaze warming up in spite of her usual demeanor. “One day, maybe I’ll even be STRONGER than you. Though I’m sure you’re training was rather extensive … ??” Locutions raised up in question, though a way of not asking outright     /      her curiosity always got the best of her.
He flashed her a grin, though he had to force the expression, just slightly. He wasn’t much a fan of the Empire, either, and he was beyond trying to hide that, at the moment. He could tell that the sentiment was shared between the two of them, though he didn’t need the Force to know that. Just the fact that she was standing next to him was proof enough of that. He turned his eyes away at the praise, shrugged, then scratched at the back of his head as he nudged the stranger’s body one last time before pushing it to the back of his mind. Sure, he might be nicer than some of his colleagues, but that wasn’t exactly saying much.
The change in topic was more than welcome, and he arched a brow in amused curiosity.
“So, you’ve always been a rebel, have you?” He asked, a teasing note lilting through his voice as he flashed her a smirk. “Suppose I can’t be too surprised. You’ve got that air about you, you know?” He sighed, undid the tie holding his hair back and setting about fixing the ponytail to spare himself hair in his face, and for something to distract himself. He paused for a moment, hands working behind his head and hair tie in his teeth, then pauses, glances at her, and slips the tie over his wrist before speaking again.
Tumblr media
“What is surprising,” he began, tying his hair off, straightening, and wiping a hand down his face. “Is that you had such a hard time getting trained. If you’d been born, oh, say a decade earlier, you’d’ve been trained by the time you were a teenager. Just like the rest of us.” He exhaled, let his head hang back to stare up at nothing in particular.
“Yeah, I started training when I was... Just after I started walking, I think,” he said, scratching at the back of his head, then shrugged. “Don’t really remember not training, to be honest... Started when I was little, and my entire life was nothing but training, and then training and fighting, until I was about.... Seventeen or eighteen, and after that, well...” He flashed her a wry smirk, though this was even more forced than its predecessor. “Not many people left to train me, then. ... Why? Anything you want to know?”

Stenbrough Hogwarts!AU snippet
Seventh year had creeped up on them so quickly that Bill could hardly believe it. Only yesterday was he a gangly twelve year old at King's Cross Station being bid farewell by his mother; a child completely made up of anxiety, doubt, and confusion. But everything had worked itself out. He wasn't that same kid anymore, his life had completely changed, from the worst to maybe the best it had ever been.
From being lanky and awkward, he had become incredibly tall and his shoulders had spanned out strong and wide against his somewhat narrow waist, his hair was short but not incredibly so, maybe a little past his ears. He always wore rings on his fingers and his ears were pierced, one at the bottom and two at the top, just like Richie's. It was his idea after all. Late at night, after everyone else had gone to sleep during break they both sneaked out, black hoodies over their heads and sneakers stepping silently on the pavement as they dashed off towards Bill's car; a birthday present from his mom. It hurt like a bitch for Ritchie while Bill's was almost completely painless. Afterwards they just stayed in Bill's car, the radio playing softly in the background as they stared up at the stars through the sunroof, the blanket Bill brought strown over both of them.
Richie teased him for it and in Eddie's eyes he could see murderous intent behind them every time it was remotely brought up. However, Bill and him got along surprisingly well. They had become like brothers to each other in the short amount of time they had known one another. When Eddie had problems he always came to him, especially when it involved Richie. He was almost like the lifeline between them, always leveling the playing field when one of them fucked up.
Eddie wasn't the only change though. Ever since fifth year all three of them had been made into prefects; and along the way more people were added to their little family. Mike, Beverly and Ben were all cool people and they had molded to each other as if they had known each other their whole lives. There wasn't a moment where they weren't together one way or another. Usually it was Richie and Eddie together, but ever since they joined Bill didn't feel as alone anymore. They were always there for each other, even when one wasn't available there was always another to pick you up.
For someone who constantly partied and and barely did anything to study most of the time, Bill was surprised he wasn't a Gryffindor. Mike was more reserved however, for him it wasn't as easy but he was just as good as Richie, even if he actually had to study for it. All in all they were a well rounded group.
Eddie and Beverly were usually the ones who planned things but ever since Beverly was made head girl, there wasn't a lot time for them to hang out, and consequently Eddie and Mike were now the ones in charge. Saturdays they were supposed to meet in the morning for breakfast, and hang out for the rest of the day wherever they planned and already he was late. He stayed up all night doing homework and when he woke up it was already ten am; one hour late. He'd be surprised if they were all there waiting for him still.
Slipping on his t-shirt and his bomber jacket he ran down the stairs, his hair whipping behind him as he dashed by the first years. The stairs were going to change soon and he needed to get there before they switched and he had to wait another five minutes. Breakfast was over in an hour and he didn't have time to spare.
With a buzz he heard another text message come in.
My Favorite Boy: “Dude, where are you? Bev keeps bitching about family bonding time being wasted.”
Big Bill: “Sorry. Woke up late. I'm almost there.”
My Favorite Boy: “She's scary when she's angry… Don't tell her that, though. She'd kill me.”
Big Bill: “Probably. I'm right here in the hall anyway, three more minutes. I promis—” With a clang, his phone went flying out of his hands as he bumped into someone.
His cheeks burned up as he looked down and saw none other than Stanley Uris. Tan skin, caramel curls, with a nose piercing, and a leather jacket. Every person's fantasy at Hogwarts, and he had just managed to not only bump into him but also send his book flying halfway across the floor.
Stan wasn't just any student. Bill couldn't agree more with the title. Stan was hot no doubt, but his uptight nature and the way he held himself made everyone believe that there really wasn't anyone who could ever measure up to him; and he let it be known every time he picked up his latest conquest just to dump her a couple of weeks later. Stan wasn't one for monogamy, at least not long term, and every girl who had ever been with him ended up heartbroken. It didn't stop Bill, or anyone else from looking though.
The silence stretched between them awkwardly before Stan crouched down and picked up Bill's phone, while he scrambled to pick up his book on the other side. Bill was surprised when he found birds on the cover, as Stan didn't seem one for pleasantries or cute animals.
“I-I’m sorry again. I really didn’t mean to b-bump into you.”
“I know. It's fine, now if I could get my book back that'd be great.” Stan said courtly, his head held high and his eyes cold.
He gripped the book to his chest before giving Bill's phone back, his cold fingers pressing slightly into his palm as he placed it there.
Stan was weird...but not his kind of weird. Everybody knew that. He was the Casanova of the school. The straight, perfect elite who mostly looked out for himself and kept his eyes on the prize. Not part of a misfit group of teenagers that had movie marathons almost every weekend and were constantly messing around making fool's out of themselves in public.
“I woke up late. Sorry guys.”
“Took you long enough. I was starting to miss you more than Eddie's mom.”
“Do you ever shut up. I swear to God.” Eddie grimaced, pinching the bridge of his nose.
A/N: Pls tell me if any of this is even remotely good.
