Here are the Secret Saturdays in Fusionfall Art style.

I've been thinking about it for a while now, but I realized I really want to do some big project for The Secret Saturdays, so expect to see some things related to that eventually. But for now I'll work on other things as I build up to it, including how the Saturdays may look in this project. It'll take place a year after the series final, making Zak 14-years-old. So I adjusted the characters so, along with giving my own makeover for my own style. I also put them in similar poses in their main poster, including remaking the background for it, so I hope you enjoy! 🧡

Zak I really wanted to update since my drawing I made with him, Rex and Ben, knowing I could do much better with his design. Based on my previous drawing of him, I've always been fond of Zak having wild, thick hair, the kind that tiny cryptids would love to nest in. I also know that most people expect him to grow up to look more similar to his dad, big and bulky, but I've always been fond of having him stay short, with a slim, almost serpent-like build. Sharp, quick and almost feminine in a sense. Ironic given both his parents are really tall and built to break stone itself. He also still has dragon features like my previous design, like the dragon eyes, scales across his body and fangs/claws.

Doc and Drew I could mostly the same, since they wouldn't really change in a year beyond some slight changes to their uniforms. I kept the jumpsuits since I just vibe with them. I did try and make Drew look a little older, to give off more mum vibes, and cut her hair a little shorter since she strikes me as the kind of woman who cuts it every so often when it gets annoyingly long. Doc I adjusted the scar to go across the rest of his head, almost looking like a lightning bolt. I also gave them, and the other Saturday members, the same symbol Zak had on his shirt, to really help connect them as a family.

Zon I gave more patterns, Fisk some more fluff and Komodo more slick design, showcasing how different each of them are. They each get a band of sorts that hold the family symbol, letting people know who they're family with. Though I imagine it took some time to convince Komodo to wear his one, and not just eat it.

Things had gone exactly as VV Argost planned. Zak was blinded after an unfortunate encounter with the Myan cryptid Ahuizotl. He learned that he didn't need his eyes to use his ability to influence cryptids, and now he was learning to live without them. This has been extremely difficult because of many variables, mainly that things get knocked around easily in their airship and he is still being hunted by the other secret scientist. Suddenly Epsilon's offer to train and protect Zak doesn't seem so bad.

It took me a while to get around to updating this fic and moving it to Ao3. I still prefer to use Quotev for the actual writing part of fanfics so I'll continue to update there first.

Part of what takes me so long is fixing spelling errors and then adding a little more context to the fics before moving them over. Im severely dyslexic so I'm sure there is a ton I still missed. I have done art for this au that takes place after the time of the current chapter.

i was saying the other day the worst part of watching any other action cartoon with a teenage protagonist is that i miss doc and drew's parenting so much. so dp/tss crossover doodles

Au of mine where Zak was abducted by Argost and his crew during an attack on the Saturday's HQ in search of the kur stone only a few years after it was stolen back from Weird World. That was a mouth full, but I had to get it out.

My idea was that the Saturday's HQ, Miranda's lab, and Dr Chiveyo's observatory were all attacked the way they were in The Kur Stone pt 1, only Argost didn't take forever tracking the pieces down, all locations were destroyed and burned down, with everyone surviving. But Doc and Drew place Zak in a safe room so they can defend their home, with Zak being instructed not to leave. Well, after the fight he does and finds the HQ burned down. He is then found and taken by Van Rook, as there actually might have been a part of him that still held feelings for Drew, and not wanting to kill her son.

Argost, on the other hand, convinces him his family is dead and raises him, quite harshly, to be one of his goons.

Doc and Drew find the safe room empty during their attempt to salvage their home and believe that Zak must have perished in the attack. It did burn down after all.

So, many years later....

They discover that not only did their son survive, but he was taken and raised by the very monster who killed all of the secret scientists many years earlier. And that he considered Argost his father.

I know, I know, I need to stop watching Arcane. But even though his design is Arcane inspired, he's not psycho. He knows who his parents are and when he finds out Argost lied to him, he turns on him. I also like that the secret scientists have their own individual majors, and I like to see Zak being interested not only in biology, but chemistry as well, not just what his parents are into.

Also, I want him and Ulraj to still be best friends in this AU, too, and they have matching shark bazookas. Ulraj's is blue. So Zak's would be a tiger shark and Ulraj's would be a great white shark.
