I just read a theory on Twitter about how the final boss may be an alien parasite, and scarily it makes a lot of sense with the clues in the story, but also narratively it will just suck if all quirks were just an infection, AFO was just a host all along, mind controlled by a parasite.
Imagine Overhaul of all people being right, all society’a wrongs are just manifestation of the disease.
I think that puts the “all quirks erased” ending back on the table.
