I loved watching this show as a kid. Mainly for my budding lust for Bosley. It might also helped me develop my priest fetish.
On A Side Note: If they ever decide to remake/reimage this show, Jack McGee might be my first choice to play Father Frank Dowling.
Better yet, Dakin Matthews.

Father Matthew - polish version of Don Matteo
So if you’re not familliar with either of the shows, let me introduce them to you.
Ojciec Mateusz (English: Father Matthew) is a Polish television drama series, which has aired on TVP1 since November 11, 2008. It is a Polish version of the Italian detective series Don Matteo broadcast in Italy by Rai Uno.
The show is set in the town of Sandomierz, although scenes in the church are recorded in Glinianka near Otwock, the vicarage in Anin in Warsaw, and the office of the bishop is filmed in the Nieborów Palace. In the fourth series, some episodes take place outside of Sandomierz, including in Kielce, Bałtów, Krzyżtopór, Busko-Zdrój and Opatów, as well as Ćmielów, Wąchock and Zalew Sielpia.
Plot:
The series shows the adventures of a Roman Catholic priest who, after returning to Poland from a mission to Belarus, is sent to work in a small parish in Sandomierz. As a pastor, together with a friendly policeman, he solves mysteries and gives help to his parishioners, as well as all those who are in need. Each episode is a separate story.
This TV Show has been on air since 2008 and I haven’t seen any episodes of it. Never. Not even a trailer for an episode. I did watch Don Matteo though, back in the day and recently I have watched all available seasons of Father Brown. Years back, a show I love to this day is Father Dowling Mysteries - in my opinion the best priest-detective ever.
But I get side tracked. Why am I mentioning this show here?
Well Christmas is just behind us and I was ill. My presents from family members will be given to me tomorrow since I’m still not feeling 100% good and don’t want to ruin New Years Eve for anyone by getting them sick.
Someone slipped and mentioned they might have gotten me 20 seasons! 😮 of Father Matthew on DVD. Two huge box sets, over 250 episodes. There are 28 seasons and you can buy 27 of them, the last 7 you can so far get separately. I mean...
Okay. The biggest question I have is WHEN am I going to watch this show?
I need to create a schedule or something. 20 seasons! 262 episodes, 45 min each. That’s what... 8,5 days of constant watching 24/7? Nope.
I don’t even know if I will like this show. I’m not a huge fan of polish tv shows besides: Brzydula (polish version of Ugly Betty), Niania (the Nanny), Kryminalni, Miodowe Lata. That’s about it.
Huh. If I won’t like it, then someone in my family will be very happy this coming year. I know of few people who are fans of the show.

Thomas Edward Bosley (October 1, 1927 – October 19, 2010) was an American actor, television personality and entertainer. Bosley is best known for portraying Howard Cunningham on the ABC sitcom Happy Days (1974–1984) for which he received a Primetime Emmy nomination. He's also known for his role as Sheriff Amos Tupper in the Angela Lansbury lead mystery series Murder, She Wrote (1984–1988), and as the title character in the series Father Dowling Mysteries (1989–1991). He died on October 19, 2010 at the age of 83.
Portly, warm-voiced and soft-featured, Mr. Bosley personified paternal authority, especially on Happy Days as Howard "Mr. C." Cunningham. And it was those Happy Days reruns that his warm smile and the way he walked, with a kinda swagger that I found appealing and the way his suits clung to his body. Especially his pants, how they hugged his wide hips and bubble butt. My mind suddenly switched from the show to thoughts of anal penetration.
Lets see, had a daughter with his first wife. He was married until his death to his second wife. And what hot piece of ass she was. If Bosley was into 3-way swinging, I'm in. But wow… the filthy things I fantasied I would do to this man.

Remembering character actress MARY WICKES (1910 – 1995), who was born on June 13. She attracted attention in the 1942 film Now, Voyager as the wisecracking nurse who helped Bette Davis's character during her mother's illness. (She had already appeared earlier that year with Davis in The Man Who Came To Dinner, and joined her again six years later in June Bride.) She continued playing supporting roles in films during the next decade, usually playing wisecracking characters. Later in her career, she was cast as the mother of Shirley MacLaine's character in the 1990 film Postcards from the Edge and from 1989 to 1991 portrayed Marie Murkin in the television movie and series adaptations of Father Dowling Mysteries. She played Sister Mary Lazarus in Sister Act (1992) and in the sequel Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit (1993). -

I have just read some of your blogs about the Graves family of Admirals from Ireland and Devon. They are my grandmother's family and I know some information which could be of interest to you, Rear Admiral David Graves (1746-1822) was not the son of Admiral Thomas, (1680-1755) but of Thomas Graves and Mary Neave.
He had an elder brother Samuel b.1741, who married Mary Semple and had two sons Captain William Graves R.M., who died 21st September 1853 and Alexander b. 1784 who served as a midshipman aboard HMS Pickle which was commanded by Captain John Richards Lapentiere who had married 2ndly Mary Graves a daughter of Lt. John Graves of Gravesend by his wife Elizabeth nee Dowling a daughter of the Rev. William Dowling.
Jane Hervey, could have been the governess to David, George and Mary (see above) and they may not have been siblings, but cousins. William Graves (1724-1801), the elder son of Admiral Thomas Graves (1680-1755) was a lawyer and a help to all the family in trouble.
David Graves is referred as a nephew by Admiral Graves, (1713-1787) together with brothers Samuel, Thomas (later Admiral Sir Thomas 1747-1814)), John and Richard, in his will.
There will be a book soon to be published about Rear Admiral Richard's wife and family.

I thank you for contacting me! I do happen to have more than a passing interest in the Graves family, which 'happened' to me by coincidence a few years ago, focussing particularly on Samuel Graves and his wife, Margaret Spinckes.
Naturally, I also have an interest in the family around them, which is why I am grateful for your comments. I fear however that there may be some confusion here as to the identities of David Graves and his siblings.
I have reviewed the wills of both Thomas (1680-1755) and Samuel (1713-1787) Graves in order to find any possible information on David, George and Mary Graves. Neither are mentioned in Samuel's will, but Thomas' yields the information that [...] aforesaid being the children born of the body of the said Jane Hervey.

Jane being explicitly named as the mother of all three, not as you suggested perhaps serving in the capacity of governess or other third-party caregiver, implies that David, George and Mary were at least half- if not, wich would seem more likely to me, full siblings.
David, George and Mary are without a question the product of an intimate relationship between Jane Hervey and a male Graves of the Thanckes household, meaning either Thomas, or his sons William and Thomas may have been the father.
Given that the children are mentioned in Thomas Graves' will, but without any specification as to their relation to him (compare e.g. to "my said son William Graves" or "my eldest son Thomas Graves") heavily implies that they were his own, illegitimate children.
The Samuel Graves born in 1741 is a somewhat greater mystery to me, as the only Samuel in that generation I am aware of is Rear-Adm. Samuel Graves (1741-1802) who Catherine Featherstonehaugh and lost an arm during his service in the American Revolutionary War. This Samuel was the son of Rev. John Graves, and the nephew of Admiral Samuel Graves (1713-1787). I wonder where 'your' Samuel Graves, born in the same year, figures into the family tree.
Returning to David, I really could not find any bequest to him in Samuel Graves' (1713-1787) will (National Archives reference number PROB 11/1151/194). He bequeathes some money to his cousins William, Thomas and Anne Graves, Thomas Graves' (legitimate) children from his marriage to Elizabeth Budgell. Other family members who are mentioned in his will are his wife Margaret, nephews Samuel, John, Thomas and Richard, the sons of his brother Rev. John Graves, his godsons and grand-niece.
David later had several illegitimate children of his own; his will (National Archives reference number PROB 11/1664/357) is the only source I have on his siblings and children.
The way I see it, and to illustrate my research, this is what the family tree would look like. Please note that it is of course simplified, leaving out a great many people as it is geared towards showing the relationships discussed above.
I am excited to learn that there will be a book on the in-laws of Richard Graves. From all I have read, his wife was quite a character who at one point proclaimed that she was afraid of the trees surrounding Hembury Fort House, which is why she needed him to move to the city with her.

After millennia of being the world’s shittiest boss, Lucifer comes on a bit strong when Crowley finds his family in the middle of a murder investigation. Chloe has no clue what the real story is between Lucifer and his brother, but the biblical one is dramatic enough.
