ok, this isn't a fun little shit post. i just want to say something to the fandom of fantasy high: i absolutely love all of you and your poast and your theories. i love it when my posts get reblogged and there is someone in the tags talking about their experiences, or adding on to the bit or even pointing out something i didn't notice before. i love when i see posts about things i've also posted about cause it makes me smile and go "you fucking get it". i love all the theorists and creatives who take time to make or think up beautiful things. i love the people who worked on the show be excited about it and posting on here any chance they get. i love my fellow shit posters who just wanna make other people laugh with them and remember the insane shot that happens in the show. y'all are so fun and amazing!

Celebrating Hitman Fanworks
Since I missed International Fanworks Day, I’m posting about it now 😁
The Hitman fandom is comprised of so many amazingly talented people. Their passion in celebrating the Hitman series goes to incredibly creative lengths, including (but certainly not limited to) animations, let’s plays, GIFs, screenshots, fanfiction, fanart, playlists, crafts, and more. I wanted to make a post recognizing many of these wonderful people and link some of my favorite fanworks of theirs through the years. This blog is officially 3 years old! The first event I hosted was the end of the year countdown as a way to look back and remember all the good things we enjoyed as a fandom in the previous year (as a way to hold on to the good even when Covid had taken so much). So I'm bringing it back for the third year!

Today marks the one year anniversary of when I started watching leverage for the first time. So I'd just like to say what a pleasure it's been being a part of this fandom! This is not only one of my favorite shows but also one of my favorite fandoms to be a part of. Everyone was so nice and welcoming to me when I joined. Honestly I don't think I've ever had that warm a welcome into a fandom before. It's been the most fun I've had with any fandom, maybe ever. I saw someone (sorry I don't remember who) say that the show feels like home and I'd like to add that the fandom has really reflected that in my experience. This fandom feels like home. Y'all are the best! So here's to many more years with all of you amazing people!

Hello Everyone!
First, I want to say thank you to everyone because... we still have a fandom! When I participated in this event in 2021, many wondered if we'd still be here in 2022. Then, in 2022, I really didn't think we'd make it to 2023, but look at us! We may be small and imperfect, but I am happy to still have each of you to share my crazy hyperfixations with!
I always get stressed out with these events because I'm sure I'll leave someone out, and it's not my intent (I just have wicked ADHD!) I will have more shoutouts to make after work later today, but I didn't want to go to bed tonight without sharing a little love for some of my supporters throughout this past year. You have no idea how much I appreciate you taking the time to read, comment, and give feedback on my silly fics.

Speaking of CoP, it was a real gamble when I decided to write for the incomparable Trystan Thorne this year. Given that our fandom is not always... nice... it was so scary. But some of you provided such kind feedback. It really encouraged me to keep going, and I'm so glad I did. I love the story, and I love us sharing it together. Thank you @starsarewithinme @moominofthevalley @aces-and-angels @brycesgirl @ao719 and @shadyinternetblizzard , and OMG, I know I'm forgetting someone here, and when it's not 1:20 AM and I'm not exhausted I'll remember correct that! lol, But seriously, thank you!

It’s so nice to see that my BTVS/Spuffy gif sets are doing so well (by today’s Tumblr standards anyway). I hadn’t wanted to gif anything for months due to lack of interest and on a whim decided to gif this Spuffy scene in Touched because it’s still one of my favorite moments.
Not having engaged in the BTVS/Spuffy fandom before, I didn’t expect much but it’s my first gif set in a long time that’s reached 1k notes. So, thanks to all of you that have liked and reblogged my sets. It means the world to me and also motivates me to create more.

I can't read the word tech like a normal person anymore when it comes to "tech support" "technically" "Technician". Insert sobs here.
Oh my heart. Anon, you do not know how much this note means to me. 💜 I definitely am Jekyll and Hyde when it comes to Bad Batch, in particular Tech-gate. I love Bad Batch so much, I truly do. It is my Roman Empire when it comes to Star Wars. But I do feel the ball was dropped the last half of Season 3. It works, but it could work better. Ya know? On one hand I want to stay positive and like you said, comforting and encouraging. On the other, my inner dialogue, like yours, is filled with unhinged complaints. LOL!
And me too! The word Tech can be seen in everything, sometimes on a drive I'll see a company name with the word Tech in it and I scream internally TECH, my dearest! Lol.

Just had to tell you that I've read, re-read, and absolutely loved every single one of your works in the Sherlock fandom. Your deep understanding of the characters shines through in even (perhaps especially) the smallest, seemingly inconsequential bits of dialogue and description. You have a remarkable way with humour, and you capture Sherlock and John's sadness with such honesty.
I couldn't overstate how much I enjoy your works, and it's an impossible task to pick a favourite amongst them, but 'The Pillar upon Which England Rests' holds a special place in my heart and always will.
And now finally, my ask: if you had to choose 3 of your fics that you're most fond of, which would they be and why?

Oh my goodness, thank you so much! This is such an incredibly kind message. It's been a rough few days and you've just put the biggest smile on my face. <3
I'm especially tickled that you mentioned The Pillar upon Which England Rests. That was the very first fic I wrote for the Sherlock fandom and holds a special place in my heart as well.
As for 3 other fics that I'm most fond of… hmm. That's a really hard question to answer! Probably:
(Never) Turn Your Back to the Sea, because writing it ultimately allowed me to process my own complicated feelings about S4.
Out There for being a marriage of my two most beloved fandoms, and also because I put a lot of effort into merging Sherlock and X-Files plots together to come up with the cases for that fic and I'm very proud of the end result.
And I'm going to cheat and call the last one a tie-- White Knight for being the story of mine I'd most like to see turned into an episode of the show, and Whirlwind for being so much fun to write and my own personal brand of insane wish fulfillment.

Why solar opposites is my favourite thing right now……
Originally my husband put the show on to try it out and I did not want to watch it. After the first episode we were sucked into the story about the wall, but I was really blown away by the voice actors.
After quickly binging the first season I realized that the show wasn’t like the other adult animations… there was something special about this one. The whole show was a love story for the two main characters, taking the “odd couple” trope to a new untouched level.
Solar opposites explores a group of alien strangers who choose each other as a family. Our main characters Terry and korvo are the solar opposites of one another and their entire story line throughout the show is about developing that love they have for one another. They start as team mates, to best friends, friends with benefits, to lovers, to husbands. Each season and each episode I never pictured that they would take it as far as they did into canon …. And THAT is what I love so much about the show.
I’ve thrived in a number of fandoms over the years …. And being able to have a gay relationship be CANON is so progressive! Their stance and approach on gender is incredible. There is no dancing around or defending your perspective or beliefs. The whole show is literally about these two dads and their replicants trying to figure out life among humans. The concept is so beautiful and it makes being in this fandom so wonderful ! The fans are wonderful and insanely talented! Just know that this fandom we have is so very special!

hey! just wanted to say thanks for your artist support in this fandom. the way you reblog things periodically, even after it’s been a while—I think you’re single-handedly keeping some of my marigami pieces in circulation instead of sinking to the bottom of my blog haha. and that’s not even mentioning the commissions! probably half of the new adrienette/marigami works is from you. idk, you’re just awesome!! and I’ve noticed it with my works and others, and I’m really glad you’re in the ml/marigami fandom <33

That said it has been very interesting finding out in these recent months that people know who I am, not like on a self deprecating “I am nothing” way or anything but in like who really notices their own presence way

The ffxiii fandom is lowkey my safe space when I see drama in other big fandoms I’m in. The ffxiii fandom may be small and we don’t get content like other fandoms do but it’s welcoming and people kinda just do their own thing and it’s fun and I love it so much, just coming after feeling the stress of other fandom drama and vibing with you all over the dumbest things, it’s such a nice feeling

I joined the cod fandom around last year december and never really had the gut to talk and interact with peeps XD but a few weeks ago I joined a server and decided to go out of my comfort zone, and I think its the best thing I've ever done.
Its really fun and interesting to see art and fics online, but to see the creator themselves sharing the process, then joining in the fun and tossing my own ideas on it was an experience I never knew I get to do.
Maybe its not that special for some, but for me, it was truly something I enjoyed in :> It's like a form of escape from the real life maybe, just brainrotting over fictional character with other incredible people :D
