Soren is one of my favorite characters of all time (and tied w/ Dimi for my fav FE character) because he’s like. Really really funny if you think about it. This prince of two nations with draconic heritage and a tragic backstory isn’t only not the main character, but also you can go through the whole of Tellius learning very little about him if you so choose. HE doesn’t even really give a shit about where he came from he just wants to be w/ Ike. I feel like in any other FE game and most JRPGs in general his backstory would graduate him to significant plot point at least but Tellius is so based that it’s like nah. Like don’t get me wrong Soren is super important to understanding parts of the story (Why Rajaion ended up in Ashnard’s clutches, the whole branded debacle, Almedha’s *actual child*) but he’s never the focus. I just think that’s awesome. Of course it means like a bunch of people have some terrible takes but I guess that’s the price for having a rly cool character. I love Soren he’s so epic. He’s even gay

I am *so* thrilled to be finally able to share me and my lil team's contribution for @telliusbigbang ! It's been an amazing and wonderful time and I hope y'all enjoy!

Titania's perception and compassion have extended to any and all who have come into the Greil Mercenaries' care - be it those they have helped, or those they have employed. Her kindness is easy and calming, and proves to be a true light in the dark that comes with the loss of their founding commander. With the family she's found working their way through his loss and into a war, it's all she can do to maintain what's left.

Finally, someone who states it plain that Ike did not in fact defeat racism (even if it's of the magical kind), but rather fucked off afterwards because he's a chad or some bullshit

TBF Tellius doesn't say racism can be solved by rekting a religious person and no one praises the moron who suggests this plan

But there's still something to be said about how FE10 ends with Ike fucking off after the war, when said game started this way - no one gave a fuck about Daien and the "post war" situation in FE9, so Begnion ruined it scott free :/

Hopefully this time Elincia, Miccy and Sanaki are going to get along - even if in the crap world that is Tellius, Sanaki will basically have to deal with the consequences of a civil war in Begion (Senate vs Empress who is NOT the apostle!), Miccy will only bank on popular support to become Daein's ruler despite not being part of its royal family - and Elincia already had to deal with "politics" in part 2.

I'm more interested in a post-Tellius scenario when the hawks leave Serenes because even if Tibarn is Reyson's "friend", they need to eat meat, and they might want to slaughter some ravens for what happened to Phoenicis ; depending on how we played, given that all of Goldoa's population was in the Tower of Guidance, Kurthnaga might only rule over 25 peons and the "beast" tribe will have to deal with King Skrimir.

Oh well, I'm pretty sure if a third Tellius game was released, the devs would still find a way to push Ike, even if he's released as a FE6!Karel.

The oldest tweet mentioning Caineghis says that "aside from his sandals caineghis is probably one of the best-designed FE characters." I understand the sentiment, but I think the sandals are a nice accent to the rest of his design and help cap off how it all ties into who he is.

Caineghis knows his position and his strength and the strength granted to him by his position, and several times throughout the games he throws his weight around in a manner that could be described as either reckless or crass and faces no real consequences because, yknow, he’s the biggest of the big cats.

When he more or less explains his relationship with Elincia to Nailah as "someone who I love as I would a daughter, and you shall do the same", he knows she isn’t going to push back on him being heavy-handed about it. During the summit with all the Laguz leaders in por he’s a wall none of the other leaders (Dheginsea aside) dare not try to move. Tibarn even comments on this in rd by saying that Skrimir of all people is easier to control than him. Skrimir! The meathead who let off the gas for the first time in his life like a week before!

So, let’s go back to his design. Imagine you’re to meet the king of a country. And he walks in wearing a robe. And sandals. Loungewear, basically. Bro is comfy as hell. It’s like if you walked into a job interview and your boss was wearing a tshirt and sweatpants and flipflops.

But he’s the king. Could you say anything? He’s 400 pounds of muscle. Could you object to his dress? He can turn into a massive lion at will. Could you suggest that he’s not taking his position seriously? Everyone in this country respects him tremendously. Are you going to dare comment on it? And there’s a glint in his eyes, a slight smile on his face, telling you that he knows exactly what you’ve been thinking, and you realize with some fear that this is all on purpose. He’s not dressed like this just for his own comfort.

No, he’s dressed like this so you know from the moment that he walks in that he’s in control. He always has been, and you have no chance of challenging that. No chance of challenging him.

This isn’t even getting into his body language and expression. Scroll back up. Look at him. Look him in the eyes. Even if every day is pajama day in Zarzi castle, he clearly carries himself with dignity. Looking at him, you know without a doubt that he’s a king. The king.

I originally started this Ike painting last year, but after a certain point I was absolutely stumped on what to do for the background. Ike taking up a good portion of the canvas didn’t help.

My sister and I were finally able to get our hands on a copy of Path of Radiance near the end of 2023, and it helped me finally get an idea for his background. So now the painting looks like Ike going back to reflect on some of his memories from when his journey first started.

His canvas is a panel 4” x 4.” He’s for sale for $20 and shipping as well! DM me if you’re interested!
