I once read an Evangelion meta post but there was a line that hit me like a bus. It was like. Asuka and Shinji are both dogs, but where Asuka is all bark and no bite, Shinji is all bite and no bark.
like. yes that's so fucking accurate. And,, they're both people pleasers

Campaign!Kul'zak is the patron of nature, travel, wanderlust, and the lost. It is inarguably the most cryptic of the Divine, hiding out in the wild and having limited contact with mortals and deities alike. Despite this, many mortals worship it just as much, if not more, than most other deities, second only to Avon. Boats, carts and wagons are christened in it's name, lost travelers often sacrifice twigs and small game in exchange for Kebek's protection, and few people ever leave their home towns without many prayers and celebrations in it's honor. It's also often honored by hunters and farmers, asking for it's blessing in their respective jobs

as if it isn't turbo weird to be like "you didn't watch these essential kids movies? you didn't have a childhood!" let me make things infinitely weirder for everyone present by telling the story of how my mom was the only one who at least pretended to care about my interests so when I went to show her this cool thing in pokemon diamond on my ds and found the door closed I opened it to see her having a seizure and she would have died if I didn't have a fun little kid interest moment because no one else in the house knew that was happening. and that's an image always seared in my head. you got to have fun and watch mulan but your experiences are not universal !

I'm not sure how many of you read please don't wake me, but if you're interested in the series, I've got a quick question.
Basically all nine of the remaining installments (yes, pdwm spawned another story lol--I realized there was a conspicuous and thematically-relevant gap) are planned and each is at least partially-written. But of the two that are closest to done, one is the final installment. With this anthology stuff, I've got no problem posting out of order, for the most part, but would anyone feel sort of cheated if I posted the final story before the others? Would that be weird? (I guess you could just not read it...)
#writing tag#please don't wake me series#part of this is the self-indulgent desire to jump to the juicy parts without having to earn them#but part of it is the simple fact that if i don't post things while i'm thinking of it then i'll probably forget#and with my schedule and erratic motivation then i don't know what timetable i'm looking at#it's not even necessarily the resolution of every arc#the penultimate one is actually the one where joyce and jonathan clear the air and their relationship is pretty important to the series#it's just that technically the events of that one contribute to the place jonathan is in for this one#and it's sort of a big jump without that intermediate step#but like also they're just 30 or so here so i feel like it's fair for them to be in a different place mentally

If GnR was going to Calgary or Edmonton, I would so go in a heartbeat, but alas they’re only going places that are to far and expensive lol fuck.
#also I could take time off like a Friday-Sunday but flying all the way to either Vancouver or Quebec is pricy or even Toronto or NB same#people forgot how massive Canada is#flying here is not cheap#even for my vacation this summer I went with a higher fare simply because it means I can cancel and get $$ back due to the fact flights#here have been so erratic with cancellations and major delays#another thing I miss about NZ it was smaller and oh so easier to travel on a whim

Keep thinking of the yakuza “fantheory” that crack and meth are very common in the series but we dont see it because kiryu just doesnt know about it
#Yakuza loveblog#and nishikiyama will kill people who try to offer drugs to his brother#and majima stopped doing crack when he got his own family so he never got to invite kiryu into the tiny bathroom to do drugs together#like what if they were just literally high and kiryu is like woah this person is behaving erratically. must have woke up wrong#i keep saying this but i believe that nishiki is clearly the more competent brother betwen them. of course they both have their strengths#which allowed kiryu in particular to shine but long before that nishiki was doing far better than him#and it Showed. my guy had his own car and a bustling social life and a life plan thinking ten steps ahead and kiryus like. i beat up a guy#for twenty dollars just now and i will continue to do so. like this man is not earning money for his family or himself#but he is very very adaptable to life and desth situations which not a lot of people can say and the fact rhat he keeps surviving makes him#seem very impressive but thats literally cause the story is about him#nishikiyama is more competent but kiryu absolutely cannot be killed and together they would have been unstoppable#i really think they have a perfect dynamic. like nishiki and kiryu ... then majima and saejima. they make two perfect pairs#also it turns me into a crazy person to think bout majima not swearing an oath with literally anybody because he was waiting for saejima to#come back ... he really saved a spot for him in his heart ... because like hes irreplacable to him because he loves him ..!!!!!#i just love two bros who know each other so well and will kill for each other#which makes me laugh because again when saejima saw that majima died in the news he had a fucking moment and then acted like he didnt give a#shit like he wasnt even mad he was just like man ... wht the hell ... and kiryu got so pissed that he punched something

I feel pretty assured that there’s been plenty of kin amino drama since then that’s scrubbed my past a wee bit but if you did happen to see that go down in that specific year then yeah congratulations you saw my usurping. I wouldn’t rly describe it as ‘drama’ per se tho, I didn’t even fucking do anything LMAO I just made a vent post a while ago and wasn’t online enough. the actual ‘drama’ came from the mod who took my place and decided I needed to be excommunicated and my failed attempts to get it back. But like whatever, water under the bridge. I had more important things to worry abt at the time, I was going to court and shit. Total mess back then!

trying to find canon stories or fanwork that touches upon guy's TBI is like walking through a baren wasteland. most barely acknowledge it, and when they do it's just a one-liner or for a joke which. You Know.
#i'd rather they dont talk about it at all instead of mocking it#to the few writers who did put work into writing good fics about it: i am kissing you on the mouth and with tongue thank u for ur service#it's this balance between valid reactions of other characters (wow this guy is a huge jerk get him away from me/i used to know a different#guy and this is painful for me to see him changed and trying to accept this new personaltiy + disabilities) vs guy's own thoughts (i just s#suffered a big injury that took off years of life + hard work i put in bettering myself and set me back on many skills i used to know which#is deeply unfair and hard/i now have to learn how to live with a new personality + deal with the fact that i am now angry erratic and have#trouble with cognitive functions which is outside of my control/dealing with other's expectations and prejudices against me and my injury)#+ the way some storylines treat this as a joke. oh guy is so dumb he doesn't know big words when its just deeply sad and upsetting that som#someone with diplomas and education lost those abilities due to something entirely not his fault
