i've seen a lot of dp fans in the dpxdc fandom talk about not having access to comics so here. it's completely free, good quality scans (for most things), basically any dc comic you could want is there. you should have an adblocker but the ads aren't the worst if you don't, just noticeable and annoying. you're not gonna get a virus, i've been using the site for years, as have many other fans.
if you genuinely want to read the comics, take advantage of the sites comic fans have been using. there's new and old stuff and everything in between. crossovers too. whatever you want to read, you'll find there.

I have a hot take, I think Eleven is better than Ten.

Also, just to clarify, I don't hate Ten at all. I love the Tenth Doctor era so much because Ten is my first Doctor, and he introduced me to Doctor who. but Eleven is the reason why I'm still obsessed with Doctor who.

i have this thing where anytime i think about kanej from the shadow and bone tv series i get deeply mentally unwell

watching mash s11ep4 the joker is wild for the first time and...boy howdy do i have thoughts on bj's trapper complex
#mostly i think its absolutely fascinating for the writers to make trap's absence such a big part of bj's character and character development#and i dont mean character development in a good way i mean it in an actively bad way actually#but like how many shows do you watch where a character is “replaced” because an actor leaves that show#and we actually see the negative implications to that character replacing them#like it would be so easy for the writers to kind of hand wave over bj replacing trapper - just another cog in the army machine etc etc#but to make the choice that being a “replacement” to trapper would impact bj's state of mind so greatly#so LATE in the show too??#is fucking incredible storytelling actually#like bj had spent so long actually *trying* to be the replacement trapper#working on the still riffing off of hawk's jokes causing shenanigans#until he hits this spiral and breaking point in seasons 10/11 and seeing him almost...lash out? chafe? against that comparison#that building tension and exhaustion to always being in someones shadow#the writers sat on that for like SEVEN YEARS#and i just think thats fucking insane and amazing actually#its also hard as a viewer because like#i love bj#but he *is* trapper's replacement#and that makes this all the harder to watch because on the one hand im like “bj's right to feel this way”#but im also like “...trap would never”#so i am in fact falling into the conceit that everyone in the 4077 is#which makes the writing and storytelling#all the better#sorry not sorry for the insane tags on this whoops#em starts mashposting#m*a*s*h#mashposting#bj's trapper complex#bj hunnicutt#trapper john mcintyre#im also v new to the mash fandom and mash discourse so i have no idea if this is interesting or obvious oh well

i went to my baby sisters schoolwide music/singing show and i literally left feeling so happy
#wind howls#the show was amazing 1st to 6th graders can b so full of talent and display it so beautifully when they have a good teacher forreal forreal#i watched a little boy go crazy on the bongo playing the beat for Mission Impossible while his friend did the melody on the piano#i was speechless the entire time. those two were 4th graders and they had the whole gym roaring with cheers and claps#and my baby sister was SO SO CUTE she accompanied the 5th graders on the recorder and then sung when it was the 6ths time#i cried i did 😭 they were so cute she was so cute she was so proud of herself anf im so so so proud of her#we also watched 2 videos of other students who played wonderful songs on the marimba and xylophones and thats so incredible#kids are so so talented#i also almost started crying whrn the 1st graders started singing because they are so small and their voices are so cute and im really weak#im so so so glad i went ohhh my GOD#im so so proud of my baby sister its unreal !!!! everyone congratulate her NOW

#I AM SO OUT OF THE LOOP HOLY SHIT#From the short clips i've seen its not great but to be fair. I hate dubs anyway usually#The vast majority sound awful to me#That said. Touko's voice actor sure made some choices on the line delivery#But im still very happy they're dubbing it bc it means the show becomes available to a wider audience#As not everyone can handle subtitles#Plus it might show that there's more interest in marketing the show to a western audience#Which might mean i might be able to get my hands on it legally#If this dub gets me an affordable dvd boxset it'll be worth it#I might screw around and watch the dub despite not liking dubs tho#Bc i've always used natsuyu as an example of a show unsuited for dubs due to being so deeply entrenched in japanese culture#So I'm very curious how they handle that#So far I've heard that they translated nyanko-sensei to 'master kitty cat'#Which is perfect. jesus so I have watched years worth of critical role and almost all of the dimension 20 campaigns and witnessed dozens of incredible role-playing moments by actors and non-actors alike but when I say that alex ward crying and then suddenly yelling in Annabelle's face got me crawling out of my skin I fucking mean it. something about having the calm and collected and lowkey character who mostly talks in whispers just abruptly explode in the face of a frankly exasperating, sorta mary-sue character who has grown so hypocritical in 4 seasons I guess. this guy is an amazing actor and the whole breakdown felt so fucking real I got actually scared for a moment. I'm honestly speechless 💀
