Alert: this is a very stupid post and not to be taken seriously.
So when it was revealed the first attack on Keyleth was Ludinus trying to test drawing out Vax, folks were pointing out that Ludinus would have had to stay up to date on Vox Machina romances in order to have the information to make that plan, which is very funny. I posit an additional hypothetical: if the preliminary attack had accidentally been fatal for Keyleth herself (I say accidentally because Ludinus would want to wait to execute the plan in full later, so wouldn't have killed her then) then Ludinus would have lost his bait and would have to figure out another way to draw out Vax.
And you know what that means. Matchmaking. Get the sad bird man to fall in love again so he can threaten the new person. Ludinus using every iota of his skill in manipulation and patience and influencing of events to set up Situations, and he needs it because as a celestial champion Vax is not just walking around into your average coffee shop. He becomes the king of tropes. He reads trash romance to get ideas and runs into Caleb at a naughty book store in Rexxentrum and it's very awkward for both of them. With centuries of experience and villainy, HOW has it come to this-

I have seen with my own eyes declarations that Vash in Stampede only "talks about saving people" without doing anything.
Hilarious to me that everyone knows Vash is doing a bit since it's been over twenty years, so Orange changed the bit he was doing very slightly... and a non-trivial fraction of the audience fell for it all over again.

More Pokémon Horizons Episode 25 spoilers under the cut!
As much as I laughed from how this played out like an unintentionally comedic moment---can I mention how much this actually does to separate Amethio from the rest of the Explorers; how he's actually honorable and respects Friede as a rival of sorts?
The rest of the Explorers tend to use underhanded tricks to get what they want (Spinel brainwashing Liko and attempting to wipe her memory, Onyx and Sango trying to overwhelm the others against direct orders whilst causing the destruction of everything else around them), but Amethio has been unique in how he's regarded as 'by the books' (by Friede) and constantly tries to be on equal footing with his opponent- even if it means putting himself at the disadvantage when he has more resources to utilize.
He could've very easily overwhelmed Friede by having both of his mons attack at once (given how Captain Pikachu hadn't arrived yet)---and yet he- doesn't. Which is just so interesting to me as he's meant to have a similar goal as the rest of the Explorers (which is to retrieve the pendant/Terapagos by any means necessary).
So in this case, was it really a matter of defeating Friede so that he could easily confront Liko afterwards,,, or,,,,, was he trying to prove himself somehow? 👀✨✨✨

do yall ever think about how weird wash's fight scene in s12 is? specifically, that moment where he does that sideways flip while shooting (I believe) at felix? like wash is an enjoyer of combat rolls, my man is always rolling, but that one flip is a flashy, and dare I say, unnecessary move for wash to use.
I also find it interesting that they had him use his sidearm instead of his battle rifle, since in previous cqc situations wash has always used blades or blade like objects such as the epsilon unit. the only times I recall him using a magnum off the top of my head is when he shot south in s6, when he shot donut in s8, and when he threatened carolina in s10. if wash busting out his magnum, it's always symbolic of him letting some part of his personal feelings guide his actions, because shooting someone with a sidearm meant for close range is more intimate than using his primary mid/long range weapon.
this was obviously not the case in the s12 fight, and they probably did it just because it looked cool, but idk that's my random wash thought of the day.

Ronan, Gale, and Karlach are outside of the goblin encampment, far enough away to keep out of sight but close enough to keep an eye on it. The priestess and the drow are dead. Halsin has been freed and has returned to the grove on the promise the hobgoblin would be gone before he even touched its pillars and yet-
There's a buzzing coming from the goblin camp. The war drums have been sounded. The guards pulled in as shouting and fighting seems to be emanating from within.
Ronan is clearly agitated; not in his stature, standing straight and still as he watches the road, but in his tail flicking in odd bursts. In his tight grip on his war hammer still in hand. In the thin trail of black smoke trailing to the sky from his nostrils.
A few tense minutes pass. The swarm at the goblin camp rages. The smog emanating from Ronan's snout grows thicker. Gale gets smacked on his arm by Karlach for not so lightly suggesting Ronan use one of his calming prayers before he starts storming back into the camp.
Without so much as a noise, Astarion appears, breaking the spell from the invisibility potion by stating that it's seems rather rude that whoever they're waiting for is keeping them so long. Ronan turns to him, tells him he's late as he eyes the whole of him, searching for any obvious injuries. Astarion coolly snaps back that he made the decision to give them a few extra minutes 'considering how long it takes you to get anywhere' and isn't he so generous, blood oozing from a cut in his calf that wasn't there when they parted ways almost half an hour ago.
It does soften Ronan's expression and before Astarion can object, he's getting pulled into a hug, one that quite literally sweeps him off his feet. The dragonborn is never short on physicality, irritatingly so even outside of their...thing, and yet this is new enough and clearly in front of other people that Astarion isn't sure what to do or even say. There's the immediate want to struggle and demand he be put down, but after the narrow escape and as Ronan squeezes him with some muttered praise, it is... nice.
He is very warm.
Ronan sets Astarion down after some awkward patting, clearly happy at a job done successfully as they make their way to the grove. It takes Astarion almost a mile to notice the cut in his leg has been healed, unable to pinpoint exactly when that happened.
