The Last Ferrari Dino 206 S Is For Sale
The Dino 206 S was developed by Ferrari specially to take on Porsche in the FIA’s 2.0 litre Group 4 class, the cars had styling reminiscent of the mighty Ferrari 330 P3, and they would prove remarkably successful – taking a series of class wins and podiums in period. Although it’s often called the Ferrari Dino 206 S the Dino marque was intended at the time to be a a new parallel brand run…

1967 Ferrari Dino 206 S

Ferrari Dino 206 Berlinetta Competizione 585B
One of the three Dino 206 S vehicles that participated in 1966 at Le Mans was sent by Ferrari to the Pininfarina coachbuilder's facilities to carry out a new design on the Dino. Pininfarina entrusted the work to its young chief designer Paolo Martin, a newcomer to the company. It was exhibited for the first time at the 1967 Frankfurt Motor Show causing great expectation in all attendees for its large front windshield that looked very much like to the cabin of an airplane. Paolo Martin's original design did not include the rear wings. They were added later because Pininfarina was convinced that they helped create the perception of being more at the forefront of technology. In order to be registered as a street vehicle, safety elements were incorporated: new tires, shock absorbers and more comfortable seats to facilitate driving on public roads.
