Thoughts from re-bingewatching (mostly series 18 onwards recently) The Bill

Smithy is a bloody idiot if he thinks he's in love and puts himself in serious danger. He's literally seconds away from being killed for both Louise and Kerry and if his colleagues hadn't burst in each time he'd not be there no more. He is loyal to an absolute fault as long as he likes you! 💗 His bravery is second to none - as well as being bloody stupid! Literal Super!Sarge.

I don't hate Kerry as much as I did watching as an adult rather than when I was late teens/early 20's. As discussed with @everythingisdragons, a lot of what she does is understandable when you look from her position. Her station-best friend is murdered just before she's due to get married. Gina has to spend her and Luke's wedding day stopping Craig from telling her that he spent the night with Luke. She's strung along whilst Luke and Craig do lots of angst and staring across the room at each other and then is gaslit by Gina, Craig and Luke when she asks him if he's gay. She finds out she's pregnant and they split. She has a miscarriage just as they 'get back together'. She's dumped by the love of her life because he's gay, she finds out he spent the night before they got married with a man who she thinks is her friend and then he walks out on her again when she literally begs him to stay and says it doesn't matter that he's gay they can deal with it. After a few one night stands with Smithy she then falls for Cameron who starts being calm and kind and understanding and then slut shames her (along with Smithy for that!) and dumps her. She has a drunken one night stand with Smithy and hides it from Cameron when he wants to get back together. She then ends up being manipulated by a psychopath, told everything she thinks she knows about a man she's known and trusted for a while is wrong and that he raped her. Said psycho uses her further vulnerability to keep the pressure up and everyone at work is pressuring her to either make the complaint official or stfu with others telling her how wrong she is because Smithy wouldn't do that. Cameron is a tit who can't keep his mouth shut when they get back together (Who the fuck brings up a rape allegation in the middle of an ARMED ROBBERY? and then demands his girlfriend tell him if it's the truth or not as she's trying to keep a man with a FUCKING BOMB strapped to him calm and secure whilst the disposal team arrive?) and makes the situation worse by lying on official documents and to the investigators and tries to cover it up and make her lie. Gabriel keeps put the pressure by telling her he's got the CCTV and will protect her because he's her 'guardian angel' and the only one looking out for her. Gabriel then goes on and rape her (unknowingly impregnating her which adds to further hormones) knowing people wouldn't believe her after she accused Smithy and then withdrew it when she finally talked to him. Cameron cheats on her with Honey (her good friend!) and they have an illfated 'thing' when he and Kerry split up. She's in complete freefall and desperate for someone to love her and look after her. She's almost killed by the Radfords yet returns to David the same night that he was going to shoot her (and Smithy!) and almost gives up her job for him until she sees he ALSO cheats on her. Gabriel's still hanging around, Gina's got it in for her cos of the rape allegation against Smithy even though they sorted it out between themselves and she realised her didn't rape her. Cameron leaves her and returns to Australia despite her literally running after him and begging him to stay like she did Luke, David and Irene are promising her a new life, Gina's threatening to get her out of the station. She comes to her senses and uses David's trust in her to set him up - and then is about to be arrested for conspiracy to commit armed robbery (Irene taped it all). On top of all THAT, her dad goes on to have a heart attack. Despite it all there's only one person she can trust who is still there when the chips are down... Smithy! He tells her he loves her but there's too much going on to process it until she knows her dad will be ok. When he is - she returns to the station to tell Smithy she loves him too... only to get shot and essentially die in his arms. Phew.

I actually hated Andrea more this time around. I never liked her and hated her character first time but I think this time the deceit and lies really really fucked me off on top of the whole 'I'm such an innocent little flower who is really fucking stupid despite noone realising how obvious she's being.' She shit on every single one of them and betrayed them yet wouldn't have it at the end that she was the one in the wrong.

I found Phil Hunter and Rod Skase more odious than I did first time round too. Teenage me had a crush on Rod yet watching again I really don't know why (other than hormones!). He was still watchable though and enjoyable for the dick that he is at least. Phil was always slimy and smug but this time watching again - ugh. He should have had his downfall - not be allowed to walk off into the sunset 'redeemed'. The stuff he did to Nick... ugh.And the underage daughter of his lover too! I also enjoyed Danny Pearce less too, much for the same reasons as Rod I think.

Geoff Daly was more of a dick than I remembered. I didn't mind him first time around but this time he did nothing but moan, cause problems for others, use his rank be a dick.

I love the 90's way of the - mostly CID - boys calling each other by their full names when being snarky with each other. "Geoffrey." "Donald!"

The 80's/90's girls were a thousand times better than the 00's girls. On the whole they got stuck in and did the job and told the men where to stick it which was even more impressive given the time and not all this batting their eyes at them. Viv, Suzi (Croft), June, Kerry (Holmes), Cass, Liz, Vicky, Jamila, Norika, Sally (Johnson), Christine etc. The only exception being Gina, obv. (There's some 00's girls I don't mind, Mel, Millie, Kirsty, Stevie, Amber (for the wrong reasons), but most of them were problematic for various reasons or just plain poorly written.

I miss Derek! :( Even now! Him and Gina bitching together with Jack - probably about Heaton would have been hilarious.

Mickey's rape still remains IMO one of the strongest storylines on the show in its history and uses a backing of its strongest cast at the time to play it out so well and sympathetically. Even Delaney's actor is one you can believe in and want to kill through the screen. It's one of few that continued down into other storylines too and was remembered when necessary.

The Target trilogy is another that is an incredible story telling trip from start to end and so well done.

Will Fletcher is a horrible character who showed no loyalty to anyone. He knew Emma had a boyfriend/fiancé/husband and didn't back off. Even when he knew or at least suspected Matt was an abuser he still kept digging and digging away and antagonising him purposely despite that putting Emma in further danger of harm. He played with Honey's feelings, messed her around and even when she literally TOLD him she didn't want anything serious but was inviting him on a holiday of essentially sun, sea, sand and sex he still turned her down (after saying he was going until the night before) and as we know she went off to meet Eva and ended up being killed rather than getting on that plane. It was a good week before anyone realised she was missing. He treated Dan like crap too despite him supposedly being his best friend. When both men liked Emma when she first arrived, Dan stepped aside and let Will try his look. However when the petrol station woman decided she liked Dan rather than Will, Will swapped the petrol pump from a Diesel to unleaded (despite Dan having put the right one to the car) so that Dan would get bollocked and be the cause of the car having to be towed back to the police garage, emptied, flushed and then refueled and he'd get points on his licence - points that ended up stopping him going on the advanced driving course he'd applied for (that Will knew nothing about till Dan applied for it!) so that Will got his place - and then when Dan asked if he was going to turn it down given the situation when Will admitted what he'd done, Will essentially laughed at him and called him stupid in a roundabout way. He also indirectly is the reason that Dan hurt his shoulder and began the steroid journey because instead of following him to arrest the man who stole it as he should have done, he stayed with the motorbike he'd been about to buy before it was stolen, which meant that Dan had to arrest him solo and got hurt. He also took the credit for finding the missing baby in Deadly Secrets when it was Dan. He's also incredibly petulant, sulky and thinks he's the best copper at the station. I couldn't help by being amused when Callum called him out on it within 12 hours of knowing him. Speaking of Callum, Will was also stuck straight up his arse and sucking up when he knew that he was low level bullying Dan, telling him to stick where he was and that he'd never be anything more than a PC when he was asking to progress onto a course.

There's several points where multi-episode mini-stories really struggled, assuming it was because of each part having a different writer and them not seeming to collaborate or at least read other peoples episodes before writing their own. For example Conviction 6 makes out like Smithy and Stevie continued things after the last episode of Gun Runner when they really really didn't. It's quite a confusing episode in some respects because of that.

Towards the end there's a lot of 'because of the reboot' decisions in stories rather than it feeling true to the character. Without going into too much detail because the recap will be up soon, the last episode of the Conviction six parter is a great example of this and also the point above.

Why did Des fire bomb the station to retrieve the counterfeit fifty? I know why but like... what part of that action makes sense? Surely you play dumb until it's mentioned - if it is mentioned - and then say you must have been scammed somehow and put in another amount?

Dan Casper is a special precious cinnamon roll and I will fight to the death anyone who says otherwise! He's sweet, kind, generous, does not like injustice or people picking on others (ie: telling Emma she doesn't have to be mean to Beth and act all hard because of what happened to her, they still love her either way). He's super sensitive too. If he loves you he pretty much forgives you anything and everything. He's adoooooooorable! (Same for Leon pretty much!)

TPTB missed a trick not having Dan, Will, Leon, Nate and Ben all onscreen at the same time and living together in a big house share.

Speaking of Ben, I enjoyed him a lot more this time too. The first time round he was too involved in the possé stuff of Callum, Sally and Will and I used to not pay as much attention as I could during those parts but he also proved himself to be very sweet and a proper gentleman who went above and beyond with the tropey-hidden!anger stuff for a little bit.

There's a good few characters who have decent arcs through the series looking back. Gina's move from all seeing, all knowing fearless ball breaker to human and terrified of losing more officers after her thousandth one died (I jest but it started to feel that way sometimes!) was very human and believable. Neil's transformation was understandable given everything he experienced over the years, even if it was the hideous Andrea stuff in the middle. Smithy from cocky PC, Sgt who wasn't to dissimilar but had obvious hints of Uncle!Bob's moulding and influence through to mature and responsible grown up Sgt and then Inspector was wonderful.

Gina and Smithy's friendship was a thing of beauty. Other than Louise, Gina was the only other person he cried in front of - the other times he'd run off to be by himself. I still laugh at Jonathan's reaction to Smithy having a key to Gina's.

Jack and Mickey's wasn't too far behind either, though Jack had an awful tendency to be lead by another brain that wasn't in his head - ala Rachel Heath time and abandon Mickey when he needed him the most.

If there needed to be another Sgt in uniform, why couldn't Kirsty have been promoted (as a newcomer not with much background they wouldn't have to know how long she'd been a PC etc) or one of the others if not keeping Diane? Why move Jo across? She could have become a DS alongside Max and fill the gap there.

Gina's ex, Harry, does not come across like any sort of man that Gina would ever allow near her! Infact he seems the absolute opposite that she'd go for! (Episode 181)

Speaking of Gina's exes, we all know I'm bias for Gina and Jonathan, but the little reveals here and there of Adam and Gina's relationship were lovely, especially her obvious heartbreak when she spots his kids for the first time (The open day where Eva's daughter Joanna goes missing). The only reason they broke up is because she couldn't give him the kids she knew he wanted so she ended it and he didn't know why until they reunited at Sun Hill. It was beautifully done and you could get them being together.

Ugh, i wish she'd told Jonathan at the wedding (Jim/June) that she was ready to commit like she was going to! Or at the station the day after when she found him about to leave!

Although I love the end of the show as in the episodes themselves (Respect 1 and 2) I really dislike the way a lot of the storylines were rounded off. Callum post his dad's funeral and his assault and his jostling with Jo and his suspension were forgotten about for Respect 1 and 2. Max's drugs stuff was left ambiguous after his return as it wasn't mentioned and he had calmed down a bit and was less argy bargy and more wind up merchant. (And why didn't Mickey tell Jack rather than make a big song and dance about telling Neil instead!) It was a shame because it makes people totally forget how decent a person Max was from Assault On Sun Hill to In The Know a lot of the time as well as being an occasional dick. He was absolutely gutted he had to arrest Noah (Backlash) and had really bonded with him and took the time to help him and see things from his level despite his initial thoughts. He threatens a dangerous dealer to keep Fran safe. He also gave Noah his PSP to keep! (Brings back memories of Smithy giving TIm his gameboy in Lullaby). He went looking for Pavel in Righteous Kill despite it meaning he got held at gunpoint and looked out for Julie and her uncle as much as he could. He was impressed by Smithy in Gun Runner and told him and offered to help him through the DPS and other PCC interviews and sit with him if he needed someone. He was impressed by Beth in Beth Undercover and told her so. He had a really fun friendship with Eddie - or "Edmundo!". Cowboy Country - he was adorable as well as a little bugger for telling everyone about Terry's love of country music.

Speaking of Max - his and Millie's 'relationship' (not in the actual terms as in a couple) always intrigued me. Purely for the fact that she was so obviously swoony over him and all heart eyes and he never let on that he was aware (though obviously was!), however in Righteous Kill he says to her at the vending machine - after he's nobbled some money off her to take Pavel some food and drink where he's hiding out) that "it doesn't have to be a big thing." and it sort of... seems out of place as nothing linked was mentioned before it and nothing was said after (and then there's Smash and Grab a few episodes after and Millie loses the crush for a few episodes) Is this 'big thing' her crush? Is he telling her to back off? Or telling her it could be something casual... it goes unanswered and it's always bugged me why it was said because nothing came of it or was building up to it and she doesn't say anything in response other than "Sure."! Unless he's meaning not wanting to talk like she offers? Or the thing he's checking up on? (that he's going off to find Pavel without telling anyone?)

There'll likely be more as I remember it haha!

Eu queria ter o Dom da Gabisteca, eu gosto muito dos vídeos dela, será que é Dom? Será que foi uma junção de prática? Falar dos seus sentimentos dessa forma tão sincera, poética e evidente?

Eu sinto falta dela, falar dela, saber dela, me sentir conectado a ela, e não sobre o trabalho dela, não que eu não queria saber disso, mas é como se isso fosse tudo, e eu não acho que seja, mas isso não está no meu controle... Eu queria tanto, mas tanto que ela viesse pra cá, vai além de um querer pessoal, um querer egoísta, existem muitas oportunidades aqui, muitas coisas bonitas, muitas chances.

Eu realmente queria que ela me entendesse, mas na verdade, sinto que quem não entende sou eu, pq é tão difícil aceitar que ela não quer? Ela não quer minha ajuda, não quer planejar nada comigo, deixa tudo de step, se der, deu... E é assim que deve ser, eu acho, né? Mas pq ser dessa forma se tem como encurtar o caminho? ( Ela não quer )

Apressar parece errado, talvez seja, mas eu só queria uma luz, o escuro é assombroso demais.

Eu sinto que tô vivendo uma vida que não é minha, aprendendo a cozinhar, aprendendo a ser dono de casa, aprendendo a dirigir, aprendendo a cuidar das crianças, e aprendendo a cuidar de mim.

Penso em fazer tatuagens também, mas sinto que no fim, tudo isso é por ela, eu quero ser o Homem que ela pode se orgulhar se estivermos juntos, ela plantou em mim inseguranças como o Tavin, por exemplo, e no fundo a culpa é minha, eu não deveria me sentir abalado com isso, assim como fico abalado quando falam da minha altura, ou quando ela não gozava no sexo.

Porém, me faz bem, então, no fim das contas me beneficia, é como se ela fosse só o incentivo, quando eu treino, lembro dela, e faço o dobro de esforço, isso não é uma coisa boa, não é positivo, ela não deveria ser tão associada a minha melhoria individual.

Com tudo que ela já me falou, eu sinto que não estou nem perto do que seria o mínimo pra ela, mas eu já me acho muito bom assim, mas sigo melhorando.

Lyra is a firm believer in the saying that spontaneity is the spice of life, and follows that saying in most of what she does. To most people, she tends to flip back and forth between spontaneous and unstable, leaning more towards unstable to those that don’t know her very well. She craves independence and while she is happy to be a part of the Cleirigh family, she is also thankful that she gets to retain that independence so long as she follows the rules.

She can also be very tense and overly critical of others. Lyra has a hard time trusting others. Her history with her family and being disowned made it hard . Romantic Connections:

Bill White (Mate): Lyra and Bill got close when they were both mentoring with Ronan and Roman. She had never thought about being in a relationship with anyone, mainly due to the attempt of her mother to force her into a marriage. However, once she and Bill began to get to know one another and got closer, Lyra honestly fell very much in love with him. He means everything to her.

Platonic Connections:

Ronan Cleirigh (Former Mentor): Lyra mentored with Ronan for a time. She thoroughly enjoyed her time with him and loved learning from him, he is also one of the reasons she got close to Bill. Ronan is more of a father figure than her biological father ever was. He is also the one that offered her the Cleirigh name.

Roman Cleirigh (Former Mentor): Roman was the last mentor that Lyra had. They share the same power and he was the one that helped her learn the more difficult aspects of her powers. His teaching was largely hands off, but that was a great way for Lyra to learn how to use her powers to get out of trouble. Roman was always there if she couldn’t get herself out of trouble.

Garrett Cleirigh (Former Mentor): Lyra’s time with Garrett might be considered a waste of time to some, but Lyra enjoyed the trips they went on and how it gave her the ability to see the world at a younger age. She had a great time and remains friends with Garrett.

Kaylor Genesis (Former Mentor): Lyra mentored with Kaylor for a time and she largely taught Lyra many of the more basic abilities to warlocks. Lyra was thankful to have her time with Kaylor and spends time with her every once in a while. Kaylor was also the one that pushed for her to start her relationship with Bill.

Judson Cleirigh (Friend): Judson is the one that made Asra her familiar once she was done with her training and she is very grateful for that. He is also someone she finds very easy to be around.

Audo Wilhelm (Acquaintance): Audo and Bill run a business together, and Lyra has met him a couple times.

Nathan Cleirigh (Close Friend): Nathan has always been someone Lyra could go to when she needed someone to talk to. He is the first person she’s been willing to discuss her mental health with in multiple centuries. Lyra knows that Nathan worries about her when she decides that she doesn’t want to talk, and she often finds it easier to go ahead and just talk rather than deal with him worrying. He is one of the only people who knows the full story of what went on with her family.

Talia Cleirigh (Friend): She let Talia practice her power on her when she was younger and the two became close in their short time working together. She likes to be around Talia and trusts her. Like Nathan, Talia knows about what happened with Lyra’s family.

Lawrence Cocci (Friendly): Lyra and Lawrence have hung out at the bar a few times and while normally, Lyra wouldn’t hang out with him, she enjoys sharing a beer or two.

Hostile Connections:

Chrysanthe De la Cour (Aunt): Chrysanthe was the one that set up Lyra’s engagement to Laurent Faucher, and when Lyra refused to marry him, it embarrassed Chrysanthe. She never forgave Lyra and Chrysanthe was a large reason Lyra was disowned by her family.

Laurent Faucher ( Former Fiance ): Lyra’s father asked his sister in law to find a good match for Lyra and she brought Laurent. Laurent quickly became infatuated with Lyra and when she broke off the engagement, he became furious. He tends to show up regularly or send Lyra things to try and ‘woo’ her.

When it came to duos in The Bill, I adored the bromance of Des Taviner and Reg Hollis. Reg spent most of his time at the station as the guy no one wanted to know unless it was fed rep business during his time in the position. No one wanted to hear about his bloody trains, gardening or any other random fact dumping he may inflict upon them.

Des was quite a hot head at the best of times, but there were times like the S18 E38 episode when the station's lottery syndicate lost out on the jackpot due to Reg changing a number on his own line (which had he left it alone would have been a winning line) and then this scene from E39 where he was the best friend Reg could have been given until the station fire plot line then came along and ruined it.

Oh Cass! 💔

The Cop Idol Storyline/Cass' murder was one of those rare PM storylines that was properly paced and shocking - not least given the time of the year (Christmas) and the light hearted fun of the Cop Idol/Christmas party in contrast with Cass' kidnap attack, the girls getting annoyed at Cass for not turning up and what was actually happening to her at time. Poor Cass being tied up, literally waiting and even begging to know why she was going to die. Poor poor girl 😭😭 (Could have done without even more of the Carl/Craig/Luke/Kerry rubbish during it though!)

CENNET VE CEHENNEM HAKKINDA BİLGİLER

CEHENNEM ATEŞİ VE AZABI

Ateş, insan cismine çok büyük acı ve ızdırap verdiği için ahirette kâfir ve münâfıkların cezası ateşle verilecektir. Böylelikle Cehennem, Allah'ın tutuşturulmuş ateşinin ismidir,

İşte Cehennem'in en açık vasfı ateş olduğu için bazen, Cehennem yerine ateş manasına "nâr" kullanılır:

"Şüphesiz ki münâfıklar nâr'ın en aşağı tabakasındadırlar. Onlara bir yardımcı bulamazsın."

(Nisâ, 145).

Cehennem'de görülecek azabın miktar, şiddet ve şekillerini ancak Allah ve Rasûlü'nün bizlere bildirmesiyle ve bildirdikleri kadarıyla bilebiliriz.

Kur'an-ı Kerîm'de belirtildiğine göre;

a-Cehennem kâfirleri çepeçevre kuşatır:

"Cehennem inkâr edenleri şüphesiz çepeçevre kuşatacaktır."

(Tevbe, 49)

b-Cehennem ateşi sönmez:

"Biz sapık kimseleri kıyamet günü yüzü koyun, körler, dilsizler ve sağırlar olarak haşrederiz. Varacakları yer Cehennem'dir. Onun ateşi ne zaman sönmeye yüz tutsa hemen alevini artırırız. "

(İsrâ, 97)

c-Cehennem dolmak bilmez:

"O,gün Cehennem'e: "doldun mu?"deriz. O! " Daha var mı?" der. "

(Kaf, 30)

d- Kaynarken çıkardığı ses:

"Rablerini inkâr eden kimseler için Cehennem azabı vardır. Ne kötü bir dönüştür. Oraya atıldıkları zaman onun kaynarken çıkardığı uğultuyu işitirler. Nerede ise öfkesinden çatlayacak gibi olur. İçine her bir topluluğun atılmasında bekçileri onlara: "size bir uyarıcı gelmemiş miydi" diye sorarlar. Onlar evet, doğrusu bize bir uyarırı geldi; fakat biz yalanladık ve Allah hiç bir şey indirmemiştir, siz büyük bir sapıklık içerisindesiniz, demiştik " derler. "

(Mülk, 6-9)

e- "Ateş onların yüzlerini yalar, dişleri sırıtıp kalır. "

(Mü'minün, 104)

f- "Boyunlarında halkalar ve zincirler olarak kaynar suya sürülür, sonra ateşte yakılırlar. "

(Mü'min, 70-72).

g- İnkâr edenlere ateşten elbiseler kesilmiştir. Başlarına kaynar su dökülür de bununla karınlarındakiler ve derileri eritilir. Demir topuzlar da onlar içindir. Orada uğradıkları gamdan ne zaman çıkmak isteseler, her defasında oraya geri çevrilirler. Ve kendilerine "yakıcı azabı tadın"denir.

(Hâcc, 19-22).

h- Derileri yandıkça azabı tatmaları için yeniden başka derilerle değiştirilir.

(Nisâ, 56).

i- Ölümü isterler fakat azabları devamlıdır, ölmezler.

(Zuhruf,74-77; Fatır,36).

Peygamberimizin (sav) ifadesine göre:

"Cehennem ateşi (miktarca ve sayıca) dünya ateşleri üzerine altmış dokuz derece fazla kılınmıştır. Bunlardan her birinin harareti bütün dünya ateşinin harareti gibidir. "

Cezalar, işlenen suçlar cinsinden olacaktır. Dilleriyle suç işleyenlerin cezaları dillerine; elleriyle günah işleyenlerin cezaları ellerine vs. tatbik edilecektir.

CENNET ŞU ANDA VARMI ?

Ehl-i Sünnet inancına göre, Cennet halen vardır, yaratılmıştır, hazırlanmıştır. Nitekim şu ayet bunu açıkça ifade eder:

"Rabbinizin mağfiretine ve eni göklerle yer kadar olan Cennet'e koşun. O Cennet takva sâhipleri için hazırlanmıştır. "

(Âli İmrân, 133)

Peygamber Efendimiz (sav.) şöyle buyurmuşlardır:

"Demincek Cennet ile Cehennem şu duvarın yüzünde bana arz olundu."

"Cennet bana yaklaştı, o kadar ki, eğer cür'et edeydim salkımlarından bir tânesini size getirebilecektim."

CENNET' İN GÜZELLİKLERİ

Kur'an'da Cennet'in niteliklerinden bazılarına şu şekilde değinilir:

1- Altlarından ırmaklar akan, birbiri üzerine bina edilmiş yüksek köşkler (1), güzel meskenler (2)

2- Türlü ağaç ve meyvalara, akar kaynaklara, görünüş ve kokusu güzel, isteyenlerin yanına kadar sarktığından koparılması kolay, türlü bol meyvelere sahip (3)

3- Gönlün çekeceği her türlü yemek ve etler, türlü kokulu içecekler, temiz şaraplar ve çeşit çeşit tükenmez nimetleri içeren bir mekân.

"Onlara Cennet'te bir meyve, içlerinin çekeceği bir et verdik (vereceğiz)" (4)

"Canların isteyeceği ve gözlerin hoşlanacağı ne varsa, hepsi oradadır. Siz de orada devamlı olarak kalacaksınız. İşte bu, sizin çalıştığınız ameller sebebiyle mirasçı kılındığınız Cennet'tir. Sizin için orada çokmeyveler vardır, onlardan yiyeceksiniz." (5)

"Cennet şarabından (dünya Şarabı gibi) mide ızdırabı yoktur" (6)

4- Cennet'te hayat sonsuzdur, kin yoktur, boş lâf ve günah'a sokacak söz işitilmiş. "Biz o Cennetliklerin kalblerindeki kinleri çıkarır atarız. Hepsi kardeşler olarak tahtlar üzerinde karşı karşıya otururlar. Orada kendilerine hiç bir zahmet dokunmaz ve onlar oradan çıkarılacak da değillerdir" (7)

"Onlar Cennet'te ne bir boş laf işitirler ne de bir hezeyan. Ancak bir söz işitirler: Selâm.. (birbirleriyle selâmlaşır dururlar)." (8)

5- Cennet nimetleri insan hayalinin erişemeyeceği güzelliktedir. Cennet'i aslında dünya ölçüleriyle tarif etmek mümkün değildir. Bununla beraber Cennet'teki eşsiz nimet ve saltanatı anlayabilmemiz için Allah Teâlâ onu bize şu şekilde tasvir etmiştir: (9)

"İşte bu yüzden Allah onları o günün fenâlığından esirger.

* (Yüzlerine) parlaklık, (gönüllerine) sevinç verir.

* Sabretmelerine karşılık onlara Cennet'i ve oradaki ipekleri lütfeder.

* Orada koltuklara kurulmuş olarak bulunurlar.

* Ne yakıcı sıcak görürler orada, ne de dondurucu soğuk.

* Ağaçlarının gölgeleri üzerlerine sarkar; kolayca koparılabilen meyveleri istifadelerine sunulur.

* Yanlarında gümüş kaplar ve billür kaselerle, gümüşî beyazlıkta şeffâf kupalarla dolaşılır ki ölçüsünde tavin ve takdir ederler.

* Onlara orada bir kâseden içirilir ki karışımında zencefil vardır. (Bu şarap) orada bir pınardandır ki adına Selsebil denir.

* Cennettekilerin etrafında öyle ölümsüz genç nedenler dolaşır ki, onları gördüğünde kendilerini etrafa saçılıp dağılmış inciler sanırsın.

* Ne yana bakarsan bak, (yığınla) nimet ve ulu bir saltanat görürsün.

* Üzerlerinde ince yeşil ipekli, parlak atlastan elbiseler vardır.

* Gümüş bilezikler takınmışlardır. Rableri onlara tertemiz içecekler içirir.

Onlara: "İşte bu sizin işlediklerinizin karşılığıdır, çalışmalarınız şükre değer" denir. "

Cennet'in tasviri konusunda söylenecek son söz şu kudsî hadisin ifade ettiği durumdur:

Hz. Peygamber (s.a.s.) şöyle buyurmuştur:

Cenâb-ı Hak buyuruyor ki:

"Salih kullanım için ben, Cennet'te hiç bir gözün görmediği hiç bir kulağın işitmediği ve hiç bir insan gönlünün hatırlamadığı bir takım nimetler hazırladım."

Başka bir hadislerinde de, Rasûlullah (s.a.s.) Cennet'in gümüş ve âltın kerpiçten yapıldığını, harcının misk, taşlarının inci ve yakut olduğunu, oraya girenlerin bolluk ve refâh içinde, üzüntüsüz ve kedersiz yaşayacağını ebedî kalacaklarını, ölmeyeceklerini, elbiselerinin eskimeyeceğini ve gençliklerinin yok olmayacağını ifade eder.

Peygamberlerin davetine uyarak iman edip, dünya ve ahirete ait işleri, kulluk vazifelerini elden geldiği kadar güzel bir şekilde yapan temiz ve müttakî kişiler için hazırlanmış bir huzur ve saadet yurdudur. Kısaca ahiretteki nimetler yurdunun adıdır. Çoğulu Cinân ve Cennât`tır.

Kur`an-ı Kerîm ve hadis-i şeriflerde Cennet, çeşitli şekillerde tasvir edilmiştir. Bilhassa Kur`an-ı Kerîm`de ağaçları altından ırmaklar akan Cennetler şeklinde anlatılmaktadır:

"Cennet takva sahiplerine, uzak olmayarak yaklaştırılmıştır. İşte size va`dolunan, gördüğünüz şu Cennet`tir ki, O, Allah`ın taatına dönen onun (hudud ve ahkâmına) riayet eden çok esirgeyici Allah`a bütün samimiyetiyle gıyâben saygı gösteren, hakkın taatına yönelmiş bir kalble gelen kimselere aittir. " (Kâf, 50/31-33).

"Tövbe edenler, iyi amel ve harekette bulunanlar öyle değil. Çünkü bunlar hiç bir şeyle haksızlığa uğratılmayarak Cennet`e, çok esirgeyici Allah`ın kullarına gıyâben va`d buyurduğu Adn Cennet`lerine gireceklerdir. Onun vadi şüphesiz yerini bulacaktır. Orada selâmdan başka boş bir söz işitmeyeceklerdir. Orada sabah, akşam rızıkları da ayaklarına gelecektir. O, öyle Cennet`tir ki biz ona kullarımızdan gerçekten müttakî olanları vâris kılacağız. " (Meryem, 18/60-63).

Cennet, bu dünyada yapılan iyiliklerin ahirette Allah tarafından verilen karşılığıdır. Kur`an`da Cenâb-ı Allah şöyle buyurmaktadır:

"Adn Cennetleri vardır ki altlarından ırmaklar akar. Onlar orada ebedî kalıcıdırlar. İşte günahlardan temizlenenlerin mükâfatı." (Tâhâ, 20/76).

Kur`an`da Cennet`in niteliklerinden bazılarına şu şekilde değinilir:

1- Altlarından ırmaklar akan, birbiri üzerine bina edilmiş yüksek köşkler (ez-Zümer, 39/20), güzel meskenler (et-Tevbe, 9/72)

2- Türlü ağaç ve meyvalara, akar kaynaklara, görünüş ve kokusu güzel, isteyenlerin yanına kadar sarktığından koparılması kolay, türlü bol meyvelere sahip (er-Rahmân, 55/58-54)

3- Gönlün çekeceği her türlü yemek ve etler, türlü kokulu içecekler, temiz şaraplar ve çeşit çeşit tükenmez nimetleri içeren bir mekân.

"Onlara Cennet`te bir meyve, içlerinin çekeceği bir et verdik (vereceğiz)" (et-Tûr, 52/21).

"Canların isteyeceği ve gözlerin hoşlanacağı ne varsa, hepsi oradadır. Siz de orada devamlı olarak kalacaksınız. İşte bu, sizin çalıştığınız ameller sebebiyle mirasçı kılındığınız Cennet`tir. Sizin için orada çok meyveler vardır, onlardan yiyeceksiniz." (ez-Zuhruf 43/71-73).

"Cennet şarabından (dünya Şarabı gibi) mide ızdırabı yoktur" (Saffât, 37/47).

4- Cennet`te hayat sonsuzdur, kin yoktur, boş lâf ve günah`a sokacak söz işitilmez. "Biz o Cennetliklerin kalblerindeki kinleri çıkarır atarız. Hepsi kardeşler olarak tahtlar üzerinde karşı karşıya otururlar. Orada kendilerine hiç bir zahmet dokunmaz ve onlar oradan çıkarılacak da değillerdir" (el-Hicr, 15/47-48).

"Onlar Cennet`te ne bir boş laf işitirler ne de bir hezeyan. Ancak bir söz işitirler: Selâm.. (birbirleriyle selâmlaşır dururlar)." (el-Vâkıa, 56/25-26).

5- Cennet nimetleri insan hayalinin erişemeyeceği güzelliktedir. Cennet`i aslında dünya ölçüleriyle tarif etmek mümkün değildir. Bununla beraber Cennet`teki eşsiz nimet ve saltanatı anlayabilmemiz için Allah Teâlâ onu bize şu şekilde tasvir etmiştir:

"İşte bu yüzden Allah onları o günün fenâlığından esirger. (Yüzlerine) parlaklık, (gönüllerine) sevinç verir. Sabretmelerine karşılık onlara Cennet`i ve oradaki ipekleri lütfeder. Orada koltuklara kurulmuş olarak bulunurlar. Ne yakıcı sıcak görürler orada, ne de dondurucu soğuk. Ağaçlarının gölgeleri üzerlerine sarkar; kolayca koparılabilen meyveleri istifadelerine sunulur. Yanlarında gümüş kaplar ve billür kaselerle, gümüşî beyazlıkta (billûr gibi) şeffâf kupalarla dolaşılır ki (Cennet sakinleri bunlara dolduracakları Cennet şarabını Cennet`teki insanların iştahları) ölçüsünde tavin ve takdir ederler. Onlara orada bir kâseden içirilir ki karışımında zencefil vardır. (Bu şarap) orada bir pınardandır ki adına Selsebil denir. Cennettekilerin etrafında öyle ölümsüz genç nedenler dolaşır ki, onları gördüğünde kendilerini etrafa saçılıp dağılmış inciler sanırsın. Ne yana bakarsan bak, (yığınla) nimet ve ulu bir saltanat görürsün. Üzerlerinde ince yeşil ipekli, parlak atlastan elbiseler vardır. Gümüş bilezikler takınmışlardır. Rableri onlara tertemiz içecekler içirir. Onlara: "İşte bu sizin işlediklerinizin karşılığıdır, çalışmalarınız şükre değer" denir. " (el-İnsan, 76/11-22).

Cennet`in tasviri konusunda söylenecek son söz şu kudsî hadis*in ifade ettiği durumdur: Hz. Peygamber (s.a.s.) şöyle buyurmuştur: Cenâb-ı Hak buyuruyor ki: "Salih kullanım için ben, Cennet`te hiç bir gözün görmediği hiç bir kulağın işitmediği ve hiç bir insan gönlünün hatırlamadığı bir takım nimetler hazırladım." (et-Tâc, el-Câmiu li`l-Usül, fî ahâdisi`r-Rasul, V, 402).

Başka bir hadislerinde de, Rasûlullah (s.a.s.) Cennet`in gümüş ve âltın kerpiçten yapıldığını, harcının misk, taşlarının inci ve yakut olduğunu, oraya girenlerin bolluk ve refâh içinde, üzüntüsüz ve kedersiz yaşayacağını ebedî kalacaklarını, ölmeyeceklerini, elbiselerinin eskimeyeceğini ve gençliklerinin yok olmayacağını ifade eder (et-Tâc, aynı yer).

Ehl-i Sünnet inancına göre mü`minler Cennet`te Allah`ı görecekler, bu onlar için en büyük nimet olacaktır. Buna "Rü`yetullah*" denir. Bu hususta Kur`ân-ı Kerîm`de: "O gün Rablerine bakan ter-ü tâze (ışık saçan) yüzler vardır. " (el-Kryame, 75/22-23) buyrulur. Rasûlullah da bir hadislerinde şöyle buyurur: "Siz gerçekten tıpkı şu ayı gördüğünüz gibi, Rabbinizi gözle (açıkça) göreceksiniz. Onu görmekte haksızlığa uğramıyacak, izdihâma düşmeyeceksiniz. " (Buhârî, Mevâkıt 16, 26). Suheyb (r.a.)`ın rivayetine göre Peygamber (s.a.s.): "iyi iş ve güzel amel işleyenlere daha güzel karşılık ve bir de ziyâde (Allah`ı görmek) vardır. " (Yunus, 10/26), ayetini okuduktan sonra şöyle buyurdu: "Cennetlikler Cennet`e girdiği zaman Allah (c. c.) şöyle buyuracak: " Size daha da vermemi istediğiniz bir şey var mı?" Cennetlikler de Şöyle derler: "Yüzlerimizi ak çıkarmadın mı, bizi Cennet`e koymadın mı, bizi Cehennem`den kurtarmadın mı? (o yeter)." Rasûlullah sözlerine devam buyurarak: "Cenâb-ı Hak perdeyi kaldırır, Cennetliklere artık Rablerine bakmaktan daha sevimli gelecek hiç bir şey verilmiş olmaz. " (Müslim`in rivayeti, et-Tâc, V, 423).

Müminlerin Allah`ü Teâlâ`yı Cennet`te görmeleri, herhangi bir yön, yer ve şekilden uzak olarak vukû bulacaktır. Bunun keyfiyeti bizce meçhuldür. "Allah bilir" deriz. Kur`an ve Sünnet`te bildirildiği için kesinlikle böyle inanırız. Ehl-i Sünnet inancına göre, Cennet halen vardır, yaratılmıştır, hazırlanmıştır. Nitekim şu ayet bunu açıkça ifade eder: "Rabbinizin mağfiretine ve eni göklerle yer kadar olan Cennet`e koşun. O Cennet takva sâhipleri için hazırlanmıştır. " (Âli İmrân, 3/133).

Enes b. Mâlik (r.a.)`den rivayet olunan bir hadiste de Peygamber Efendimiz (s.a.s.) şöyle buyurmuşlardır:

"Demincek Cennet ile Cehennem şu duvarın yüzünde bana arz olundu. " (Tecrid-i Sarih Terceme ve Şerhi, II, 483).

Başka bir hadislerinde şöyle buyururlar: "Cennet bana yaklaştı, (yaklaştı), o kadar ki, eğer cür`et edeydim salkımlarından bir tânesini (alıp) size getirebilecektim. " (Aynı eser, II, 713).

Bu Hadislerden de anlaşılacağı gibi, Cennet yaratılmış olup hâlen mevcuttur.

Cennetlikler: Kur`an ve Sünnet`te ifade buyrulduğuna göre, peygamberlerin davetine uyup iman eden ve amel-i sâlih işleyen kimseler Cennet`e gireceklerdir. Bu kimseler Cennetliktir. Esasen Allah`a ve insanlara karşı görevlerini yerine getirmekle insan daha dünyada iken manevî bir huzura kavuşur, maddî refah sağlanır ama tam manasıyla huzur ve kardeşlik Cennet`te gerçekleşir: "Takva sahipleri, elbette Cennet`lerde ve pınarlardadırlar. Girin oraya selâmetle, emin olarak. Biz, O Cennetliklerin kalblerindeki kinleri çıkarır atarız. Hepsi kardeşler olarak tahtlar üzerinde karşı karşıya otururlar. Orada kendilerine hiç bir zahmet dokunmaz ve onlar oradan çıkarılacak da değiller. " (el-Hicr, 15/45-48).

Kur`an-ı Kerîm namazını eksiksiz kılanların, malından bir kısmını yoksullara ayıranların, ceza-hüküm gününe inananların, Allah`ın gazabından korkanların, ırzlarına sahip olanların, sözlerine ve emânete sadık kalanların, doğru şahitlikte bulunanların Cennete gireceklerini bildirmektedir. (el-Meâric, 70/23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 29, 33). Ayrıca Cenâb-ı Hakk`ın rızasını dileyerek sabredenlere (er-Ra`d, 13/20, 21, 22, 23); şükredenlere (el-Ahkâf, 35/15-16) yürekten tövbe edenlere (et-Tahrim, 66/8); Allah yolunda canını feda eden şehitler (el-Bakara, 2/154) ve Allah`a yönelmiş bir kalble idealize olmuş müslümanlara "Allah`ın ölçüsünde Allah`a yönelenlere" (Kaf, 50/31-34) içinde ebedî kalınacak Cennet`e girecekleri yüce Rabbimiz tarafından müjdelenmiştir.

Cennetliklerin hallerini dile getiren Kur`an ayetlerinden bazılarında şöyle buyrulur:

"İman edip sâlih amel işleyen kimseleri, Rableri, imanları sebebiyle, ağaçları altından ırmaklar akan, nimeti bol Cennetler`e hidâyet buyurur. Bunların, Cennet`te duâları: Allah`ım, seni tesbih ve tenzih ederiz. sözüdür ve aralarındaki dilekleri de hep selâmdır. Duâlarının sonu ise; "Bütün hamdler, âlemlerin Rabbine mahsustur." gerçeğidir" (Yunus, 10/9-10).

"Kim de O`na bir mümin olarak sâlih ameller işlemiş olduğu halde varırsa, işte onlara en yüksek dereceler var. "

" Adn Cennetleri vardır ki, (ağaçları) altından nehirler akar, orada ebedî kalacaklar. İşte böyle Cennetler` de ebedî kalış, küfür ve isyandan temizlenenlerin mükâfatıdır" (Tâhâ, 20/75-76).

"İmran b. Husayn (r.a.)`dan rivayete göre Hz. Peygamber (s.a.s.) Cennet ehlinin çoğunun fakirler olduğunu ifade buyurmuşlardır (Tecrid-i Sarih Tercemesi, IX, 40). Hadis yorumcuları bunu şöyle açıklarlar. Bir çok kötülükleri insana mal işletir. Çoğu insan mal yüzünden azar. Onun için maldan mahrum fakirler çoğunluğu oluşturduğundan bunların Cennet ehlinin çoğunluğunu teşkil etmesi de olağandır.

Cennet`e ilk giren bir cemâatin yüzleri ayın ondördüncü gecesindeki gibi berraktır. Onlardan sonra girenler de en keskin ışık yayan yıldızlar gibidir. Hz. Muhammed (s.a.s.)`in ümmetinden yetmiş bin, yahut yediyüz bin kişi hesap ve ikap görmeksizin ilk olarak Cennet`e girecektir. (Tecrid-i Sarih Tercemesi, IV, 41-43).

Hadislerden öğrendiğimize göre (Tecrid-i Sarih Tercemesi, II, 845). Cennete en son girecek kimseye, bu dünya kadar, bu dünyanın on misli kadar Cennet verilecektir. Çeşitli rivayetlerle sabittir ki, son sözü Kelimei Tevhîd olan kimsenin mükâfatı Cennet`tir (Tecrid-i Sarih Tercemesi, IV, 264-275). Bu durumu hadisçiler şöyle yorumlarlar: Lâ ilâhe illallah, Cennet`in anahtarıdır, ancak bu anahtarın dişleri vardır, onlarda ilâhi emirlere bağlı olmak itaat ve ibadet etmektir. Bir de "Lâ ilâhe illallah" demekle, birinin müslümanlığına hükmedilmez, "Muhammedün Rasûlullah" (Muhammed Allah`ın peygamberidir) sözünü de eklemesi gerekir. Hatta İslâm dininden başka bütün dinlerden uzak olması icab eder. Bu inançta olan kimse, ehl-i kebâir (büyük günah işleyen) de olsa, günahı kadar Cehennem`de ceza gördükten sonra Cennet`e girecektir. Nitekim Muaz b. Cebel (r.a.)`ın Hz. Peygamber (s.a.s.)`den rivayet ettiği şu hadis meseleyi açıklığa kavuşturur:

"-Hiç bir kimse yoktur ki, kalben tasdik ederek Allah`dan başka ilâh olmadığına ve Muhammed (s.a.s.)`in, Allah`ın kulu ve resûlü olduğuna Şehadet etsin de, Allah ona Cehennem`i haram etmiş olmasın (herhalde harâm eder)" (Tecrîd-i Sarîh Tercemesi, IV 271).

Ehl-i Sünnet ve`l-Cemâat inancına göre, "Lâ ilâhe illallah, Muhammedün Rasûlullah" diyen ve bunun gereğince iman edip salih amel işleyen her kimse Allah`ın izniyle mutlaka Cennet`e girecektir. Cennetlikler, hastalık, sakatlık, ihtiyarlık, huysuzluk vs. hallerden uzak olarak yaşayacaklardır.

Cehennem İle İlgili İlginç Bilgiler

Cehennem pek çok dinde günahkâr olanların kalacakları azaplı bir yer olarak bilinmektedir. İslam dininde de cehennem Kur’an-ı Kerim’de ve hadisi şeriflerde anlatılmıştır. İnsanların öldükten sonra işlemiş oldukları günahlardan dolayı azap görecekleri ahiret yurdu olarak bilinen cehennem farklı adlarla da anılmıştır. Kur’an-ı Kerim’de cehennem yerine sair, haviye, nar gibi alevi, ateşi, dumanı ve sıkıntılı hayatı anlatan kelimeler kullanılmıştır.

Cehenneme Kimler Girecektir?

Cehennemin en alt tabaksı denilen yere münafıklar yani İslam’a inanmış gibi görünüp de Müslüman olmayan kişiler girecektir. Allah’a inanmayan kâfirler ve Allah’a şirk koşan müşriklerde buraya gireceklerdir. İslam dinine göre cehenneme inanan ancak çeşitli günahlar işleyen kimselerde girecektir. Bu kimseler günahlarının cezasını çekip tekrar cennete gireceklerdir.

Cehennem Nasıl Bir Yerdir?

Cehennem insanların ve taşların yakıt olarak kullanıldığı bir yerdir. Hatta bazı alimler cehennemin yakıtı olarak nohut büyüklüğü kadar olan taşların insanın beynini fokurdatacak kadar ateşli olduğunu söylemişlerdir. (1)

Cehennem cennetin aksine kötü bir konaktır ve orada dikenden döşekler vardır. Burada hiçbir insan bulunmak istemez. Dikenli döşekler dinlenmek isteyenlere batar. (2)

Cehennem ehli olan kişiler uzun uzun sütunlara bağlanır. Üzerlerine ise ateş salınır. İnsan derisi cehennemde yandıkça yenilenir ve yeniden yanar. (3)

Cehennemde acıkan kişilere kuru dikenler verilecektir. Susayan kişilere ise kan ve irinden oluşan sıvılar verilecektir. Zaten cehennem ateşinden yanan kişiler ise bunları yiyip, içtiklerinde ferahlama yerine içten içe parçalanacaklardır. (4)

Cehennemde yanan kişilerle ilgilenen ve onlardan mesul olan melekler vardır. Bunların en büyüğü Malik’tir. Cehennem ile görevli olan melek sayısı ise 19’dur. (5)

Cehennem melekleri buraya gelenler için sert tabiatlıdırlar. Allah’ın emrettiğinden başkasını yapmayan bu melekler iri gövdelidirler ve Allah’ın dediklerine, azabına karşı başkaldırmazlar. (6)

Cehennemde zakkum adı verilen bir ağaç vardır. Bu ağacın özelliği her dalında şeytan yüzüne benzeyen meyvelerin olmasıdır. Cehennem ehli bunlardan yemek ister ancak korkusundan koparamaz. Yediğinde ise içinde ateşler savrulur. (7)

Cehennem ehli cehennemde çektikleri acılardan dolayı inim inim inlerler. Hiç kimse onlara yardım etmez ve onlara ortak koştuklarının ve inandıkları batıl tanrılarının onlara yardım etmesi söylenir. Orada kimse kimseye yardım edemeyecek kadar acizdir. (8)

Cehennem ehli sürekli yok olmak ister. Çünkü üzerlerine dökülen kaynar sular ile derileri, karınları, bütün organları tek tek erir. İçleri yananlar kanlı, irinli sular içmek ister ancak o sularda yutulamaz. (9)

Cehennemde cennet gibi çeşitli kapılardan oluşur. Her kapıdan farklı bir grup girer. Bütün grupların günahları farklı farklıdır ve günahlarının dereceleri vardır. Cehennemin en alt tabakasında münafıklar bulunur. Çünkü onlar hem Allah’a inanmayarak kafir olurlar. Hem de Allah’a maddi çıkarlarını ortak koşarak müşriklerden olurlar. Cehennem sadece insanlar için değil aynı zamanda bizler gibi ümmet olan cinler içinde yaratılmıştır. Yani cennete ve cehenneme de girebilecek cinler vardır. Cehennemin en az azap görecek olan katı cehennem adı verilen kattır. Burada ise Hz. Muhammed’in ümmetinden olan kişiler çeşitli günahları yüzünden hesaba çekilirler. Cehennemin 2. ve 3. katında ise Yahudiler ile Hristiyanların yanacağı söylenmektedir. Cehennem ile ilgili olarak Hz.Peygamberin hadisi şeriflerinde de Kur’an-ı Kerim’i destekleyen açıklamalar vardır.

Cehennem yedi tabakadır, kâfirler durumuna göre tabakaların birinde azap görecektir.

Feraid-ül fevaid kitabında buyuruluyor ki:

Cehennem yedi tabakadır. Birbirinin altındadırlar. Her tabakanın ateşi, üstündekinden daha şiddetlidir. Günahı affedilmemiş olan müminler; birinci tabakada günahları miktarı yanıp, sonra Cehennemden çıkarılarak Cennete götürüleceklerdir.

Diğer altı tabakada çeşitli kâfirler sonsuz yanacaklardır.

Cennet ve Cehennem şimdi mevcuttur. Bazı âlimlere göre, Cehennemin nerede olduğu kesin bilinmemektedir. Bazılarına göre, yedi kat yerin altındadır. Arz küresi, güneş ve bütün yıldızlar birinci sema [gök] içinde olduklarına göre, yeryüzünün neresinde olursak olalım, yedi kat yerin altında sema vardır. Cehennemin yedi kat semadan birisinde bulunduğu anlaşılmaktadır.

Her Müslüman bilir ki, ilk insan ve bütün insanların babası olan Hazret-i Âdem, yıllarca Cennette yaşadı. Yasak ağaçtan yiyince, dünyaya indirildi. Bu hususta Kur'an-ı kerimde birçok âyet-i kerime vardır. Mesela Bekara suresinin 35 ve 36, Araf suresinin 17. âyet-i kerimesinden 27. âyet-i kerimesine kadar. Taha suresinin 117-119. âyet-i kerimeleri bu hususlardan bahsetmektedir. Kur'an-ı kerimde ayrıca müminler için Cennetin, kâfirler için de Cehennemin hazır vaziyette beklediği bildiriliyor:

Peygamber efendimiz de, Miraca gidince, Cennet ve Cehennemi de gezdi. Gördüğü şeyleri anlattı. Bunlardan birkaçı şöyle:
