It’s literally like they gave a us Dionne and clueless and gave up after that

this is something i’ve been really thinking about. we need more poc representation in media and franchises. not a new talking point i know. but walk with me. not every black girl feels she can relate to sasha or layla or madison. some black girls relate more to cloe or bloom (or stella or tecna… see my point???) or kennedy. (which is fine!) but often times among friend groups, the poc gets pinned as the character that looks closest to them (which is sometimes way far off, ie. i don’t think i look like sasha as a black girl) instead of being able to relate to a character that both looks like them AND shares traits and style. and it’s not just a girl thing. men of color shouldn’t feel like they have to be “black power ranger” to go to a costume party. poc get pinned into a very small pool of characters and it’s not fair.

Dolls, advice of the day is to have a delusional relationship with yourself the way a stan does with their fav.

they never miss any moments in their fav’s life and they always defend them readily without any regret. they are involved in the most useless comments just to be able to discuss how great their fav is. who says you can’t do that for yourself?

there is nothing wrong with living your life as if you’re a celebrity. document your favorite looks, overly exaggerate the features you have that others don’t, highlight your talents and skills, brand yourself cohesively and see life as a runway to market yourself.

do this for at least two weeks. it’ll feel fake and cringe, but the more you pour into yourself instead of giving that to all of your friends or loved ones, the faster you can level up.
