Made this hallway of Queen’s Mansion in the art style of Day of the Tentacle.

It was originally for a fangame project but it was cancelled due to numerous plotholes and forced themes so... here it is.

This was even inspired by Peter Chan and Maurice Noble.

Return to Monkey Island hails from creator Ron Gilbert and his Terrible Toybox in collaboration with Devolver Digital and Lucasfilm Games. Dave Grossman has also returned for this latest game, which follows Monkey Island and Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge. Guybrush Threepwood will once again be voiced by Dominic Armato. Music for the game is from Michael Land, Peter McConnel, and Clint Bajakian.

Return to Monkey Island will release to Nintendo Switch and PCs in 2022.

So the art in this issue has been... Okay. Some of it good, definitely leaning into a certain unusual style- but the further this goes on the more worried I'm getting.

This story is the one with that terrible art of everyone dancing in the club, isn't it? The one with insane proportions?

Also Vector looks mad with something in the last panel- what?

At some points in this issue, the proportions actually work rather decent I feel- then the very next panel, we see them from a different perspective or the proportions are inconsistent or they're making some kinda of motions, and it all looks completely off.

Panel 1 Vector below looks pretty alright to me (weird and different, but not bad), but the next two panels are completely bizarre.

Finished Return to Monkey Island. It was fantastic.

Turns out when you're not kvetching about how the game looks, Return to Monkey Island ends up being a really solid adventure game with the same level of quality in its writing, puzzles and presentation you've come to expect from the series by now. Who would've guessed?
