Prompt Idea: Danny has plot armor.
To start off, Danny’s whole family knows he’s Phantom, and they had to run from Amity because of the GIW. They wind up in Gotham because that’s the one place that The Government doesn’t really mess with.
The reason behind Danny’s plot armor is that in this world, Danny became incredibly overprotective of his friends and family in order to make sure he doesn’t wind up as Dan, ironically making the chance of that happening much greater than before.
In order to prevent this, Clockwork gives Danny and his family a blessing. It works like this.
Imagine you rolled a dice. To Clockwork, there are now 6+ possible alternate timelines that can ensue. Clockwork’s blessing allows those possible timelines to be restricted to only one or two, all of them good for the Fenton family.
In effect, it was like plot armor. Scarecrow attacks a library with Jazz inside? Oh, looks like her parents need her to pick up Danny early, or she drank too much water and needs to go to the bathroom, which just so happens to have a window just in reach that she can escape from.
Maddy needs to get a job? Well, Jazz’s university needs a new chemistry professor (last one was kidnapped by a rogue) and they’re in a bit of a rush so they’ll skip looking for a teaching certificate. No one cares anyways, it’s Gotham.
Jack needs something to do? Well, besides hunting ghosts, he’d always wanted to open a food truck! With Jazzy making sure nothings contaminated and some (slightly modified) recipes from the Ghost Zone, he can finally chase his dream in a big city with his Phantom Food Vehicle! He wonders what some of those shady men came up to him for, or that odd stout fella in the tux.
(The Phantom Food Truck has become a recent cryptid in Gotham. Except it’s not a cryptid, because everyone’s seen the video of the truck hurtling down the street like it’s chasing down the devil, cop cars and vigilantes alike on its tail. And yet, no one could find it. Not even the Bats. That’s about when everyone gave up. When they learned that you don’t find it, the Phantom Food Truck finds you.)
As for Danny? He’s entirely unaware of this, to focused on keeping his head down. It works, for a while. Before fate came knocking in the form of a wicked smile, as if there solely to ruin his day.
The Joker wasn’t having a good day either. He started out having a jolly old time, joker toxin gassing a small high school, making sure to leave macabre presents for his dear Batsy, and then what happens? This random kid just starts running around, helping students, saving teachers, what’s he gonna do next huh? Save a cat from a tree?
What’s worse, his useless henchmen couldn’t even land a hit on the kid! He swears, Bill doesn’t even seem to be trying.
Whatever, they managed to corner the brat, looked like he was standing in front of some other children. So Joker lines the shot, and he fires.
The gun jams.
Alrighty, he takes one from a random mook, and he shoots again.
The gun jams.
No one’s moving at this point. Where there was once dread and tension in the air, there’s just confusion. So Joker points the gun at a goon, pulls the trigger, the shot goes off.
He turns back to the Robin-ish looking twink, and he pulls the trigger.
The gun jams.
And as he starts walking towards the kid to just kill it himself, he wakes up in the Arkham hospital wing with his last memory of the encounter being him slipping on the glowing green contents of some weird looking thermos that the kid had thrown earlier in the fight. What the FUCK was that.
Clockwork doesn’t even care how pissed the Observers are any more, this is hilarious.
it's to the point of ridiculousness that the Bats have an entire file on Danny and they think he's a meta with a luck ability and nothing else.

Jo March's Love For Stout Men (Video Essay)
youtube
When Friedrich becomes Jo's sexual awakening in the book, she pays attention to his big hands and his big feet, and she's lusty over him. In "Jo's Boys" When Dan comes back to Plumfiled, he has grown a beard. For those of you who have not read Jo's Boys, Dan was one of Jo's and Friedrich's students. When he comes back, he asks Jo if he should shave the beard off, and Jo is like "Don't do that. It makes you look so manly and handsome" It is so funny because both Friedrich and Dan's characters are based on Henry Thoreau. Mac's character in Rose in Bloom also has the same body type. He's blonde and he's younger. In Eight Cousins where he's a preteen, he's described as a bit chubby, but then in "Rose in Bloom" Mac has a growth spurt and suddenly he's taller and he got broad shoulders. Rose is surprised and she begins to see him more attractive. All these men are described to have blue eyes, which is an interesting detail because Henry David Thoreau had blue eyes. In every Louisa May Alcott story that I have read, the leading male character, let's call him the Friedrich Bhaer archetype is a plus-size man. There is a story called The” Queen of Hearts” The leading male character is a German gentleman called Augustus Bobb, and he is a large man, the female character who very much resembles Jo, is over her heels in love with Mr Bobb. In one of Louisa May Alcott's thrillers, Long Fatal Love Chase, we meet Henry David Thoreau, This time he is father Ignatious, who is a big man and he has a beard. The Friedrich Bhaer archetype is a very kind man, he is a gentle soul so I would say that Louisa May Alcott's male characters are very body positive.
This is a quote from Jo's Boys, and Jo's Boys is a sequel to Little Women and it takes place when Jo is in her 50s and she is a famous writer by then. ”It was one of the family jokes that Jo was getting fat, and she kept it up, though as yet she had only acquired a matronly outline, which was very becoming. They were laughing over the impending double chins when Mr Laurie came off duty for a moment” According to Louisa May Alcott, Jo gained weight and grew double chins and then we have Greta Gerwig making fatphobic comments on Little Women.
Louisa May Alcott was not a particularly skinny person herself, especially at the end of her life. She became very ill after the Civil War, and she was treated with mercury the mercury treatment very likely messed up her hormone levels and caused her to gain weight. Jo is not fuzzy about weight, she finds Friedrich's dad-body very attractive, not to mention, the narrator writes how Jo's family members make jokes about Jo's appearance, all except Friedrich who is constantly convincing Jo that in his eyes, she is still the most beautiful woman on earth. How hypocritical is this from Greta Gerwig to make fat-phobic comments about a fictional character, when both Jo and Friedrich in her book are constantly being judged and made fun of by their weight? Not to mention Louisa May Alcott constantly faced fatphobia. In her diaries, she writes how fans came to see her and then they were disgusted when they saw her because she didn't look like a 15-year-old.

I tried to give designing some of Dan's relatives a go! Tbh I'm not the biggest fan of how the show's art style portrays some women but I did my best to mimic the style regardless!
Dan's grandma is very short and stout. I imagine her to be quite hot-headed like Dan, which is why I decided to give her similar features. Like the nose, hair style and that vague squareness of her head.
Dan's mother I designed to look more like Elise Senior because of the implications of Dan and Elise being cousins. I gave her messy hair and some simple shoes because I wanted to reflect that she's got issues she isn't working through in her appearance.
Dan's father I designed to kind of look like a mellow, mid-life crisis version of Dan, to be a polar opposite to his mum. I also thought it'd probably sting for Dan to discover he dresses exactly like his dad, a person he also doesn't talk to anymore.
I'm not too happy with the designs but it does feel good to tie a face to some unseen characters!

Whilst he didn’t quite do it for me when he was at the height of his fame on The Wonder Years, but as he got older, I thought he became very fuckable. I bet everybody and their mom had the hots for the guy. I mean, just look at him. He’s hot with a look that tells you that he’s a mean son of a bitch, yet at the same time, a gentle teddy bear of a man. He’s been married before, but I can’t find nothing stating who he’s fucking now. So you know what that means. He’s waiting for me to come rock his world.

32. Walk
Anxiety, flinching, panic attack, anticipated violence, implied past captivity, implied past abuse, law enforcement mention, accusations of crimes [larceny], referenced stitches, minor self deprecation
AU Masterpost / Previous / Next
The Wolf’s steps faltered as he followed Dan out of the diner. His skin crawled at the idea of leaving Harrison behind, but he knew in his gut that it was just the paranoid, terror-blinded part of his brain.
(It had to be, right?)
But the real reason he stopped after a few paces was to look at the snow falling from the gray sky. It crunched under his borrowed boots as he turned, the clouds so perfectly smooth. He involuntarily flinched as Dan’s footsteps return, shaking snow from his thick black hair with a sheepish grin on his lips.
(It almost didn’t feel like a mask. He might have actually been smiling.)
“Haven’t seen snow in a while.” The Wolf started walking again, eyes glued to the gathering slush on the ground.
“You and me both.” Dan huffed, winded by the Wolf’s pace. He slowed and shortened his steps, the way he had for Harrison in the bunker. There wasn’t anything to run from now, no immediate threat on their heels. “Been a cold spring. Too cold and dry - this melt’ll be good for the pastures.”
The Wolf hummed in agreement, hands deep in his wool coat’s pockets. The borrowed clothes from Dan were appreciated, mostly on account of not smelling like blood and sweat and cigarette smoke. Harrison had needed to borrow from Thomas - not that those clothes fit his emaciated frame much better.
“Tommy’s a good kid. He didn’t mean anything by it.” The Wolf glanced over at Dan, blinking away a snowflake caught on his eyelashes. “Been taking care of his sister this last year after their parents passed. He’s, ah, a bit of an idealist, you know?”
The Wolf nodded absentmindedly, glancing at the shop windows they passed on this quaint main street. A cobbler and tailor on one side. A baker and general store on the other. A hairdresser, a post office. So painfully alien and yet so painfully normal.
“Boy was meant to get a law degree out East. Half the reason Cliff hired him was to give the kid a leg up. He was taking their deaths pretty hard.”
“And his sister?” The Wolf felt a chip of curiosity between his teeth, mingled with the sour knowledge that he wasn’t tasked with interrogation. Not here, not anymore, and yet it still drove his question. The more he knew about his allies the better, right?
(It wasn’t selfish, it wasn’t a desperation for leverage to use against them, was it?)
“Toughing it out. She was at the Trautmire’s learning how to take apart a gear assembly when the house went.”
“Fire?”
“Gas explosion. We think anyway - we’re not exactly the FBI out here and there wasn’t much left.” Dan turned toward a gravel road offshoot at the end of the main street, the winding path leading toward the smell of motor oil. “Cliff tried to get the State Troopers to come down but…guess little old Cedar Hills ain’t that interesting.”
A stout, stocky woman who hardly came to the height of the Wolf’s chest was working on a vehicle in the garage. Despite her stature, she appraised him with harsh, untrusting eyes.
“This one of your strays, Dan?”
“Word gettin’ round that fast?”
“I’ve got a humvee soaked in blood in my garage. You think Terry can keep his mouth shut on his rounds?” The woman huffed, wiping her hands off on a rag and tucking it in the top of her coveralls as she hopped down from where she had been elbow deep in a jeep. Tucking back her coppery curls under a headband, she extended a hand, still smudged with the black residue of old grease, to the Wolf.
“Alice.”
The Wolf froze before he could flinch away, hesitating as he felt his stomach drop to his feet. Frustration simmered in his blood - she was a civilian. Why was he scared of a simple handshake?
(He knew why, but that didn’t make the shame burn any less.)
“Wolf’s arm is fucked. Best he doesn’t pull any stitches.” Dan recovered for him smoothly, waving a hand dismissively that caused Alice to drop her own in response.
“Fair enough.” She nodded toward the humvee, starting towards it as she walked. “Forget something in the truck I assume?”
“Actually they’re looking to get out of town.”
Alice glanced from Dan to the Wolf.
“That so?”
“Yes. The sooner the better.”
“What’s the rush?”
“They’re just anxious to get home is all. The truck run?” Dan cut in, once again covering the flash of panic in the Wolf’s eyes when he was faced with such direct confrontation.
(Why did he ever think he could keep up this facade when he was this weak? How was he going to stop the project from hurting people when he was afraid of handshakes and hard eyes?)
“In theory, sure. Filled up the tank and everything.”
“In theory?”
“Forgot to give me the keys, Dan.” Alice laughed shaking her head. “You got ‘em Wolf?”
“No.” He didn’t like the way her face pinched in suspicion at his blunt answer. “Harrison got it started when I was…” He trailed off, glancing down at his arm.
“Why didn’t you bring the guy with the keys, Danny? Christ almighty are you sure you don’t need to go down to the VA for dementia testing?”
“There isn’t a key, Alice.” Dan grit out the words, tension gathering in his shoulders as he shifted and cross his arms. “Can you get it running without ‘em?” Confusion morphed to understanding, and then anger colored her face.
“You had me tow a stolen truck and keep it in my garage?” Alice was incredulous, a bubble of rage rising in her throat as she glared up at Dan. “Since when do you stoop to helping - of course you’d be the one taking in a couple of thieves you bleedin’ heart. Where’s Thomas? Is Cliff back yet or - “
“Alice, please.” Dan’s voice was soft, eyes desperate. The Wolf could barely see him through the tears gathering in his own eyes. Panic had his heart racing against his aching ribs.
“Don’t ‘Alice please’ me old man. You don’t know what else he’s done…”
Her angry snarls were drowned out by the sound of blood rushing in the Wolf’s ears. Dan didn’t know what else he had done. Would he find out? What would he do if he did?
(He knew what Smith would have done.)
What if she called in more police? (The phone lines were down - she couldn’t.) What if she refused to give them the truck back? (The Wolf was frightened by the knowledge that it would be easy compared to stealing it in the first place.) What if -
“Dammit, Wolf - hey, Wolf, son, you need to breathe.” The Wolf looked up, eyes wide as he saw hands coming toward him.
It was sheer instinct.
His legs buckled, knees hitting the concrete floor with a familiar crack. His left arm shielded his face as best it could, compensating for his injured right arm. He tried to make himself small, to protect his still tender torso from further abuse.
(A kick to his already aching ribs would surely make him scream.)
His ears were ringing, implants whining to hear who would come up behind him (he should have at least backed up to a wall first, idiot). But no footsteps came. He could hear the dull thrum of his heart as the panic subsided, arm slowly guided away from his face by gentle hands.
Dan’s hands. Dan was good. Dan was safe.
“You’re alright son, I wasn’t going to - you’re fine.”
The Wolf forced himself to swallow the coppery panic in his throat, thin, shallow breaths sucked between his teeth. He could feel heat creeping up his cheeks, frustration and embarrassment in equal measure as he wrenched away his hand to wipe away the unbidden tears.
“You back with us, son?”
He nodded, wincing as he stumbled back to his feet, stepping back to put distance between himself and them. He needed space - he needed his back against a solid wall - he needed to get out out out -
(Pull it together Wolf. You’re a professional.)
Something about that thought eased the weight in his chest, breaths coming easier and leaving smoother. He glanced up, both offended by and relieve to see pity in Alice’s eyes as she spoke.
“I’ll get it running. One way or another.”

The current Arbiter-General of the Luofu. Follows the plot of HSR. See headcanons tab for further details.
//with the sun in your eyes; - past timeline.
Jing Yuan is still not yet General of the Luofu. Life is good with the High Cloud Quintet still together, and Jing Yuan in this time is… bright. Vibrant, filled with a still-yet innocent energy. After all, what could stop him and his loved ones and master? The world – no, the universe – is still so new, still has so much left to explore. Note: Jing Yuan can be anywhere from a child to a young adult in this verse, depending on what’s needed for an interaction!
//when the last mountain crumbles; - mara-struck!AU, developed with @/grislyintentions! This verse is affiliated with their Kafka as a result.
He’s tired. He’s held on for this long, but Jing Yuan can feel it – his time is running out. He is tired. The mara is creeping into his mind, his heart, his lungs, slowly choking him out, but he’s not ready to go. The Luofu is not ready for him to go. He has little choice – that is, until Kafka of the Stellaron Hunters offers him an alternative – a deal he cannot refuse. Safe passage for the Stellaron Hunters when needed, in return for him maintaining his position long enough for the Luofu to be ready, long enough to take the fight to the Ruin Author. Just a little more time.  That’s all he needs. More info on Jing Yuan in this verse HERE.
//thunder heed my call; - genshin au.
An adeptus of Liyue, and a retired commander of the Millelith. Prone to wandering now that he is free from his duties, much like his lord. More info on Jing Yuan in this verse HERE.

Osyss
//dragon god; - main verse.
TBA
Quinn
//on burning wings; - Monster Hunter Touched!AU.
Quinn is the vanguard of Heaven’s Mount, frequently patrolling the skies around the peak as he hunts. Though not friendly, so long as you don’t pose a threat to his home or family, he will tolerate you. Probably. Getting him to speak is a whole other issue.
//on flightless wings; - fantasy verse.
A wanderer by heart and hunter by trade, Quinn is a mercenary with a secret. He prefers the company of his wyvern mount to humans, but with a fair price he makes a reliable hire for anything ranging from errands to bounties to guarding, capable of slaying even the most fearsome creatures.
Vaara
//gravekeeper; - main verse.
Vaara is the current reigning Elder of the Vale, with an established relation to the ruler of Heaven’s Mount. Though dangerous, they’re as nonaggressive as can be. If you’re lucky, perhaps you can strike up a conversation with them and get out alive.
