Brown Bear Cub tries to stay on Mom's back by David & Shiela Glatz Via Flickr: Brown Bear (Ursus arctos) cub hangs on for a ride on its mother's back. This Brown Bear Mom is a veteran at raising cubs. According to the Guides, this is her 3rd or 4th litter. We first saw her in 2010 when she grazed around the meadow with two tiny cubs in tow. Fast-forward 3 years later, the two "cubs" tip the scale at roughly 400 lbs each, and are on their own; Mom now has 2 new cubs who graze on the meadow with her and attempt to ride on her back every chance they get. Lake Clark National Park, Alaska.

[ Flag Fracas at Sparkling Lake ]

It's the first day of summer as Buckley and his friends goes to the beach that happens to be Sparkling Lake, which is somewhere in Nadoville as the four of them race towards to the flag. I wonder which of the four could make it to the flag first? But who knows who's going to reach it; and of course, this title is a reference to the minigame from Wii Party with the same name.

Momma Bear in a tree near our campsite at Meziadin Lake. There were 2 cubs in the tree with her. She was not too concerned with all the gawkers.
