In England, St Edward's Crown was the most important crown in the collection in historical terms. It was an object that Keay described as 'the defining symbol of English kingship,' and it held similar importance to queens. Although St Edward's Crown was reserved for crowning male monarchs, during the coronation of Anne Boleyn, a contemporary observed that 'the archbishop set the crown of St Edward on her head.' Alice Hunt believed that this was a deliberate choice, as the visual link with St Edward articulated Anne's lawful right to rule. Joanna Laynesmith supported this view, asserting that the use of regalia in this way emphasised a positive difference between Anne and most other queens [...] there is no evidence that any of the other queens in this period were crowned with St Edward's crown.

Kate always got Meghan's back for real. All those months about not making the coronation about Meghan (as in she shouldn't be invoked at all) were wasted because Kate decided to wear a signature Meghan look in order to spite her in-laws and make herself look "modern" in comparison to them.
I love that Meghan continues to be the double-edged sword the Waleses and C&C keep hurting themselves over. Very smart for Kate, honestly, these are the exact same pumps Meghan was known for. If you paid attention to Meghan at all in 2018 - 2019, you know how strongly associated Meghan was with these Aquazzura heels. Kate knew what she was doing with that. That + her also wearing The Queen's earrings. Yeah, I think I like that a lot.
She is also wearing a white version of the dress from the walkabout with Meghan, you know, the one Charles's team leaked about in order to discredit her? While not 100% identical, these dresses are both by Jenny Packham and share the same details, like a zipper embellishment at the sleeves. She's wearing that same dress with Meghan's Aquazzura pumps. She's also colour-blocking another Meghan staple. Oh, that is just delicious PR. It's petty, it's vapid, and I'm here for it.

When people are taking flights (to attend hearings) and have to secure accommodations, they should never be met with such callous treatment by these officers of the court. More respect should be afforded them. Naked!!
