Okay honestly.. it's not much. But I'm really trying. This week has been really busy for me for no reason, but I'm still gonna post every day damnit-
Anyway, I hope you guys can enjoy this. I know no one likely saw the original piece of mine that this is a redraw of, so I just put it above for reference. Not super proud of it, but hey, I hopefully improved just a little.

Rewatching some of Naruto Shippuden, noticed something that was just plain mean.
Tsunade dangled the possiblity of a promotion in rank in front of Naruto depending how he did in the test she'd arranged against against Kakashi.
Nobody followed up with him about it after he completed her test, and everyone basically forgot about it.
That wasn't fair to Naruto.
Naruto already felt miserable enough about being the only one in his class left as a Genin
He felt even worse when everyone else was getting recommended for Jonin, in Road to Ninja, after he had to miss multiple Chunin exams to deal with all kinds of crisis elsewhere.
When he was finally able to take the exams after the war, he was disqualified because they made a rule against Sage jutsu and didn't tell him.
The fact they made a rule specifically to handicap Naruto, the only participant capable of Sage jutsu, just showed he shouldn't have needed to take the exam to get a promotion.

tsunades grief means so much to me. it's the absence of something made tangible. she carries dan and nawaki with her everywhere, around her neck. she tries to drown the grief in alcohol and gambling. her bitterness becomes an abrasive exterior to scare people away from getting too involved. shizune sees right through, and she's impossible to shake. she keeps her distance from the life she once knew because she cant pretend it will ever be the same. watching her grow around her grief without ever losing her fierce love for those she lost is so powerful, and it's what i aspire to. she sees nawaki and dan in naruto, but never lets projection overcome her ability to see him as his own person... which is so much more than many of the adult figures in konoha could do (cough cough). she respects naruto's wishes and always encourages him to make his own choices. her giving him her necklace signifies a new chapter. she isnt letting go of her grief but she is passing on the love she had nowhere to put. she is allowing herself to be vulnerable again, to care again. she is a powerful kunoichi and a legendary sannin who honed her own jutsu and medical procedures. she wrote the textbooks. she is the MOMENT!!! She is a patient teacher to sakura, a strong leader, and a ferocious fighter. her love and loyalty are strong enough to shape destiny.

just one thing? hm…….. i suppose after everything he’s been through he still has his kindness and loving nature…. even in his interactions with people being rude to him/annoying him/someone he doesn’t like.. he’s not rude to them… he’s just disinterested…. the boy is a pacifist at his core, he’s just frankly kind to people that don’t deserve it (but he also doesn’t compromise on what’s important to him just to be kind/loving). oh and his transgender swagger.

hey! just so you know there are a few translation projects for palm town. currently you can download the first 8 episodes with eng sub from the link up there^. there's a big effort to preserve the series- i've seen the italian dub passed around too. there's more stuff on nyaa if you're interested.
OH THATS SO COOL!!! thank you a lot, i didnt know that existed! i hope all the episodes can be translated eventually, it'd be wonderful if this series could be preserved and accessible to more people :]
