Security breach ruin dlc spoiler post!!

This spoilers, all the til the end.

So Monty dies, i hate that.

Chica just flumps over and is done, I hate how they massacred her.

Roxy is screwed up, but at least she's saving Cassie too.

Freddy's body was left to get messed up.

The princess quest ending is clearly canon. Proof: Freddy's body left in fazer blast, in ar mode the princess quest 3 game has a golden sword stabbing it like a stereotypical hero killing the villian with a sword to the heart and heaving there sort of thing, the fact afton himself isn't really anywhere but the mimic is instead (and we see the blob for like a second doing its own thing in the underground).

We also finally see glamrock Bonnie's body... it's pretty messed up..

HEADCANONS BELOW

Now I'm gonna explain all the things I believe happened.

Monty didn't kill Bonnie. It was either afton and vanny for parts (which would explain why in his ending he could charge using one of the station pods), the rouge staff bots, or the mimic.

That is Freddy's body, I don't care if the word prototype is on the bottom, do you really think the company actually has the koney/motive to completely recreate a shell for then if not needed? If they did they could've EASILY fixed bonnie up.

Ruin happens during Cassie's birthday.

Gregory left Cassie, but I don't think he necessarily broke the elevator, if he did it would've been from a distance or by using some bot under his control since he IS patient 46 and a hacker according the the VERY CANON books.

The mimic didn't drop the elevator and wasn't the one talking through the speakers, it literally tossed away its communicater before the chase began and LOST AN ARM, which would've still been RIGHT NEXT to Cassie when she dropped.

Vanessa/Vanny is the friend Gregory was talking about, when he says his friends name the communicator garbles, which would happen if all her other hacked things were in place still. Her ar systems are still around, so it makes sense her name wouldn't come through on fazbear tech, especially after leaving. Plus what else fazbear couldn't notice her, specifically when in aftons control? The robots and security systems.

With vanny gone afton sort of just died out in the old pizza place with no reach with his virus and the mimic prowling around.

I'm done with headcanons now... I'm just.. I'm tired of people not using their brains, like Gregory in base game didn't need to dismantle anyone, he could've left instead of gone into Freddy's chest, he could've stayed with Fred in his room til 6am after missing the final lockdown, he could've stayed with sun, or told sun freddy was waiting outside, something. But no he destroyed these hulking animatronics cause he "was in survival mode" he took their upgrade and put them in Freddy, even refusing to tell him what was going on (freddy you dense motherf--). And now with the newest book out telling us he's a killer of, at minimum, 4 people. Could he be controlled by something at that time? Sure, probably, but we don't know. He wrongfully destroyed the animatronics who didn't do anything to him except what they were told, get a runaway kid, were they infected with a killing virus? Yes. Would he have known that at the beginning? Probably not, he didn't know til LATE into the game, after breaking Chica or Monty.

Im not gonna lie, gregory is the character I hate the most in this franchise, I hate him more than I do any variant of balloon boy/girl. I'd rather play the nightmare balloon boy game for an hour than play sb base game, and nightmare bb gives me nightmares.

Also if it's been like a year since the place broke down Gregory would NOT be so close to the plex to worry about being followed "oh but his communicator!!" Yeah if we go with him having to be in range for that then he'd be close enough to break the elevator, so pick a lane and shut up.

it's so interesting how they know the potential the mimic as a character has with their human hero protags, and they immediately used that potential to make Cassie think her best friend in the whole world that she was crushed by the absence of and risked her life to save betrayed her when Gregory didnt. the misunderstanding is so much better than the actual betrayal ever could be

I think it was probably inevitable that I'd write Gregory's side of the role swap, even if I hadn't gotten any interest for it, lol. The general idea is that Cassie was the protag in SB (here’s her ficlet) and now Gregory’s the protag in Ruin. And, well. We’re just putting each kid into the other’s events, and my favorite Gregory is a violent little gremlin, so… :)

title is a spin on the phrase “survival of the fittest”

Survival of the Vicious

The Roxy walkie-talkie slid out of the shadows to Gregory’s feet, and the glowing red eyes slowly rose up higher off the ground. “I-I’m Cassie,” Cassie’s staticky voice said. It was garbled, mechanical. “I’m Cassie.”

It was insistent, forceful. Like it was trying to convince itself as much as Gregory. He wasn’t impressed.

The robot lumbered forward with heavy footsteps, already reaching out for him when it stepped into the light. Its claws were sharp.

Unfortunately for it, Gregory’s were sharper.

He’d collected quite the arsenal on his twisting trip down here. And most of it had stood up to all the other robots who had the misfortunate to get in his way.

He wasn’t sure what the wicked-sharp, two-pronged piece of metal had been part of before it became a piece of scrap, but it punctured straight through the robot’s chest like a hot knife through butter.

The stupid thing probably hadn’t expected him to leap at it with a feral little cackle. It reeled back, sparks flying from its chest, with a chorus of scratchy beeps. Gregory’s adrenaline had been running high for the past few hours, and he was positively chomping at the bit to find something to take it out on.

He went for the more vulnerable of the two knees next, a simple ball joint with no protective casing whatsoever. Idiot. Using his heavy metal weapon like a baseball bat, he swung with all his strength. The jolt up his arms was so satisfying.

The robot screeched and stumbled, swiping at him with no skill and barely any aim. It didn’t even do it with its claw-tipped hand, so the single finger that skidded across Gregory’s forehead was nothing but a rounded pipe cap.

Gregory swung for the knee again for the fun of it, denting it sideways and completely destroying its ability to bend. Then, just to add insult to injury, he grabbed a handful of the wires and cables running from the knee to the ankle and yanked.

That made the robot loseabsolutely all ability to put any weight on its left leg, and it went down with a resounding clang. It grabbed him and dragged him to the ground with it, too stupid to realize it should be pushing the vicious human child away from its prone body.

Gregory had no complaints with this turn of events. He raised his weapon, prongs pointing down and drove it into the spine-esque hydraulic system jutting between its chest and pelvis.

A horrible chorus of human screams—Cassie’s among them—rose up out of the thing’s voice box. It managed to do something defensive and jabbed its sharp fingertips into Gregory’s side.

The pain wasn’t nearly enough to snuff out his rage and bloodthirstiness. He kicked the other arm away before it could wrap around his neck, and then he dropped his weapon for a moment to grab the wrist at his side and wrench it around until something snapped.

“Where’d you get her voice, you freak?” Gregory roared, straddling the robot. “If you hurt Cassie—!”

“I-I’m Cassie!”

Gregory swiped up his weapon and drove it downward again, this time pinning its segmented neck between the prongs, which sank heavily into a crack in the concrete. It smacked at him, yelling in his best friend’s glitchy voice.

He ripped at the monster in a frenzy, pulling at the exposed wires in its chest and around its mouth, yanking out the flimsy metal tabs that made up its grotesquely exposed teeth. He snapped the lower jaw piece off entirely, and when that didn’t shut it up, Gregory reached into his pocket and pulled out the switchblade he swiped from some employee’s locker.

The left eyeball shattered beneath the sharp point, and both the robot’s hands raised to wrestle him off or shove him away. He dug his sneakers beneath the sturdy beam of its spine for an anchor, holding on for dear life as it scratched and bruised him with its inhuman strength. He shattered the other eye, then shoved the switchblade deep into its sockets and thrashed it around. A flash of wires beneath the facsimile of the bridge of its nonexistent nose caught his attention, and he thrust the knife in there next, doing his level best to lobotomize the monster.

Its whole body seized and spasmed, the arms flailing and cracking against the ground. Leaning up on his knees, Gregory let out a war cry as he threw his whole weight on the end of his metal weapon, forcing the prongs deeper into the crack they were lodged in until, with a final, resounding snap, the robot’s neck was severed.

It went limp.

Chest heaving, Gregory stayed where he was for a minute. It didn’t so much as twitch. Not even the faintest whir of life came from its core.

He stood. Glaring down at it, he tucked his switchblade back in his pocket.

The side of his stomach stung where it had first stabbed him, his shirt gone bloody (again), and there were some shallow scratches along his right arm and shoulder and face where it had swiped at him after he pinned it. Faint aches littered his body, but it hadn’t landed any significant blow on him. Nothing like what he’d done to it.

Gregory grinned to himself over a job well done. There was just one problem: he still didn’t know where Cassie was. Best case scenario, she was at her house totally okay and unaware that Gregory had been summoned to the pizzaplex on her behalf.

Worse case—the robot learned her screams from the source.

He wrenched his trusty metal weapon from the concrete floor and turned away to go back the way he’d come. He’d search the entire ruins of the pizzaplex to find Cassie if he had to.

Propaganda why Anakin Skywalker is insufferable:

It's less about his character and more about the way ppl talk about him and narrative around him in a lot of current stuff. The way everyone try to bend over backwards to prove how his reasons to turn Darth Vader were somehow noble or good when almost every single bad guy in Star Wars (expect Palpatine and that guy who taught him) have much more sympathetic history and reasons and how he's not a bad person bc he cried a few times while doing atrocities. And how everyone else gets the blame for all his shortcomings ('they did it but never taught him!!!' -he literally parrotos this same lessons to his own student, it's obvious he knows better but chooses to not apply to himself anything that is slightly uncomfortable to him). Like, I love characters being genuinely not good people as much as a next guy but let's not pretend they're good people actually

the guy has zero critical thinking skills, he whines about everything all the time. I love him, but he’s awful to listen to. THIS BITCH. I HATE HIM. NO CRITICAL THINKING. NO SELF AWARENESS. WHINY MURDEROUS ASSHOLE. LIKE SERIOUSLY. He's a JEDI. LIKE. THEY HAVE HISTORY CLASSES!!!! He should have KNOWNNNNNN that when he had prophetic dreams they're not necessarily true!!!!! Also like. Propaganda why Tim Jackson Drake is insufferable:

oh man. i've had enough of this duckboy (as the protag, he's tolerable in yj and stuff.) like when tim is the protag every character in the story becomes Worse. lady shiva gets nerfed. steph is turned into jealous hormonal catfight girl. helena is dumbified and too womanly to function (they have a nice dynamic as long as tim isn't the protag). cassie and tim were great in yj98, but as soon as he is The Protag then she is his best friend's girlfriend and they're barely friends anymore. cass is turned into a rapist. dick is turned into a lazy mediocre robin. jason turns into fucky wucky dumb brute yaoi stalker boyfriend who is suddenly obsessed with tim's awesome skills. 10 y.o. damian somehow deserves to be put on a hitlist because he's a savage and tim is civilized. Sometimes the story is bogged own with tim's internal or external lectures about their flaws and how they need to be better (better like him), except for dick HMMMM wonder why that is. probbly wouldn't be so bothered if tim wasn't crammed into the spotlight of every crossover in the 90s and early 00s and then so much of dc and the fandom wave it around as the peak era of comicbooks. like im sorry. he is not a relatable protag. like the editors literally told newspapers that he was created for gen x white dudes who blow their money on comics and merch, the info is on wikipedia.

White twink rich boy who always has to be smartest bestest boy even when he is a part of a whole group of smartest bestest ppl (aka bat family as a whole, like he's literally THE Mary sue of a group of Mary sues) at expense of literally everyone else

His definitive writer is a conservative Republican. His series is full of moral PSAs, *dumb* *hormonal* girls getting into catfights over him, and blatant sexism and racism. He gives anti-marijuana speeches to a standing ovation, he lectures about how babies need a father and a mother, and sex is for marriage. Other characters suddenly become stupid around him so that he looks smart. The other characters talk about how he is the best, nicest, smartest Robin ever and ALL the others were dumber and meaner than he is, even the one that mentored him. He as a grown adult man is canonically still bitter about ""his"" child sidekick role being given to an actual child (fans pretend he is the victim of this on both sides—nope he's the adult fighting a child for the child sidekick role, no adult wanted to replace him). Did I mention that this character is the amazing pure white boy, and his 10-year-old successor is painted as a savage Arab terrorist who needs to be put in his place? T*m is a 5'9""+ adult grown man, not a delicate sensitive baby boy.

Alright- been talking about Riri protag all day so I'm gonna throw my 2 cents out there about my opinions on the protags (while trying to not be biased towards any character)

I think Vanessa is the most plausible considering everything- putting aside the hand saga, I think there's a lot that points to her being the protag, a few examples being the wording in the trailers (Handunit saying 'welcome back' and the entire new trailer talking about being employed and trained at the Pizzaplex) and just the fact that this is a sequel to HW1, the game where Vanessa was first introduced as the protagonist. I wouldn't be against that- I just think we've gotten a lot of Vanessa content as of late (movie, HW1, SB, Ruin hints, her ending being confirmed canon which means she'll show up even more later)(all of which I love ofc) and it might be better to throw someone else in as the protag this time.

Cassie protag seems very unlikely imo- there's nothing in the trailer that really screams 'Cassie', all there is towards the theory iirc is the hand model change (which could be her or Gregory), and the first teaser for HW2 that kinda paralleled the elevator ending in Ruin. I don't think she'd be a bad choice- I'd love to see Cassie back as a protag and find out what happened post-Ruin! But I think that compared with Vanessa and Gregory, going off evidence, she'd be the most unlikely choice. Plus she just got her time in the spotlight a few months ago, so it'd be nice to focus on someone else for a second- give her cliffhanger a bit more time to breathe yknow?

Gregory protag, while definitely not as likely as Vanessa protag, still feels possible to me, and, putting aside character biases, would be the best choice imo. Gregory is a generally mysterious character, even though he has an entire game and book story (though a lot of people doubt how canon said book is), not a whole lot is known about him. Taking this game as a chance to finally explain more about Gregory after, at the point of HW2's release, almost 2 years since his introduction, would be great and very much needed for his character! Especially after the cliffhanger in Ruin- it could give more context as to why and if he really dropped the elevator. The boy needs more fleshing out and, if we're going with the events of HW1 where we watched Vanessa get glitchtrapped, HW2 would be the Perfect time to introduce GGY into the game canon, same way Ruin introduced Mimic, while paralleling the first game (either with Gregory getting glitchtrapped or Gregory freeing himself). But even discarding throwing book lore into the games- I still think Gregory is the character in the most need of the spotlight again.

TLDR;

-Vanessa is the most likely based on evidence. -Cassie is the least likely and needs a bit more time before we pick back up on her story. -Gregory is kinda likely and needs the spotlight the most.

I'm curious what others think though! ^^

OH WAIT lemme post that infodump from Discord I had about some cool OC ideas I had

So I have had slight story/worldbuilding ideas after the fact, but this was all the base stuff. the below is copied directly from Discord

Okay so I got some OC ideas from a dream

It was a little complex but let me just go over the basic outline

The thing took place in a castle repurposed into an theme park. there were a lot of circus/clown aesthetics, which ties in to one of the characters I dreamt about

The main character wasn't me. The person experiencing everything was this unnamed silver-haired femboy. But not much about their character was shown in the dream

The other characters were ghosts

The first one was named in the dream. His name was Castarian, and I LOVE HIM he's a sweetie. so nice and anxious and sad but still helpful to the protag. He stayed in one room and never showed himself, but did his best to direct and give hints to the protag. I was starting to get hints on why he hid himself when I woke up, but I still knew enough to come up with stuff on my own

The second one wasn't named, but I decided he should be called Drisco. This BITCH. he was trapped in a mirror, but an essential part of the dream was talking and interacting with him. he's one of the classic jester type characters, and he looks kinda like Harlequin (he has a black and white mask, his stupid little clown clothes are black and red, and he has the aesthetic of card suits). his main goal was to be freed from the mirror, but since the protag didn't trust him, he just played games with them in there instead

Despite him being dead and stuck in a mirror, he has incredible access to dark magic. literally the darkest part of the dream was making a goddamn blood sacrifice to him so the protag could revive someone from the dead. option one was the protag's own mother (if I remember correctly, the protag's main goal of the dream was to find someway in the castle to bring her back from the dead?), next was Drisco himself, and the third option was Castarian

the protag didn't trust their mother in Drisco's hands and didn't want to release him, so they chose Castarian. they wanted to see what he looked like and thank him for he help :)

Drisco just laughed and was like "Cassie? Him? Really? Okay, I'll go talk to him!"

and Drisco disappeared for a while to talk to Castarian. Castarian was not happy to talk to Drisco, but when Drisco talked about reviving him and why the protag wanted to do it, Castarian got really anxious about them seeing him.

Drisco got bored and reminded Castarian that in order to complete the ritual, they needed something intangible in exchange for reviving him. Castarian told him that he'll owe a favor, because he wants Drisco to cover up what he looks like with an illusion as well. Drisco started to demand more, but Castarian demanded he do that. Reluctantly, Drisco complied

and then I WOKE UP. So mad about that I wanted to interact with Castarian more :( he's my boy

but I did get a glimpse of what Castarian looked like! he was part human, part boar. kind of looked like how people draw Technoblade, but the burly version where he's big and furry. his fur was a light brown and he was very VERY fluffy and soft

he was so anxious to hide himself because he thought the protag would be scared of him. he was killed by people who thought he was a monster, stabbing him through the heart. so when Drisco did revive him, Drisco hid him in an illusion of a human. Drisco would pettily antagonize Castarian for this

Castarian used to be human, but he gained the favor of a fey who blessed him with the strength of a boar, and welp here he is. they also blessed him in another way- to help with how terrible he was at being assertive, every demand he made to someone magically enforce someone to do what he ordered. Castarian learned to be careful with his wording and instead phrase things as helpful suggestions so he didn't accidentally force someone to obey a command

but Drisco's illusion wasn't even Castarian's true human form? he had long messy hair as a human, but Castarian has become so anxious about his self-image that Drisco covers him up with a neater, clean-cut, "perfect" version of him.

my conclusions from the dream are that Castarian is a lovely boy. he's anxious because he's like 9 feet tall in his boar form and super burly and strong now and horrifying enough for people to kill him for being a monster. but he's so fluffy and so sweet,,, I wanna pet him fr

Drisco's a bitch. funky little gay guy with some nuance to him, but has that chaotic clown bastard energy.

he and Castarian's interactions have a weird divorced vibe. these bitches have so much tension between them and it's so funny. Drisco knows he'll get destroyed in a fight with Castarian (especially while he's in boar form) so he manipulates Castarian's self-hatred to make him feel bad :(

🌟 gregory loredump 🌟

gregory was very much meant to be a bandaid on his bio parent's relationship and when things did not magically turn around they didn't really umm want him! he was dumped with his maternal grandmother when he was fairly young and she took over caring for him in their stead

although her age and declining health didn't allow her to do much she did her best with him, taking him to the pizzaplex whenever she was able because it was something that brought her and his mother together at a point.. she held some nostalgia for the brand and whatnot

freddy was his favorite from day one :] he always wanted to get stuff but since grandma didn't have the extra money to just buy merch he tried to earn prizes through the games

met a girl named cassie (ruin protag) after none of her friends showed up to her birthday party... tbh he originally only went over there because he was thinking about the birthday cake but then he saw her crying and was like oh.. :[

they were friends! best friends.. they hung out at the pizzaplex a lot and he showed her all his cheats.. he always liked taking things apart and figuring out how they worked and reading manuals on machines.. he was definitely doing things he shouldn't have been doing (like activating hidden shut down attractions just for the two of them to mess with)

things kinda weren't going too great for him since his grandmother passed away and no one else really was able or wanted to take him.. so he was dropped into foster care.. he hated it he's already very unaccustomed to change and now he's with strangers he's freaked out.. he still had cassie though so he was often sneaking out to go to the pizzaplex regardless of whether he was allowed to go out or not.. bit of a defiant streak going

he wasn't treated particularly well by his foster family to begin with so his growing attitude and anger problems didn't do him any favors.. eventually he just decided not to go back! he is living with freddy fazbear now

he was labeled missing and searched for of course.. he distanced himself from cassie under the belief he'd just talk to her again once the search died down but of course she eventually stopped coming and he had to cut his losses since he had no idea where she went outside of the pizzaplex.. it sucked but he made himself deal with it

of course spending as much time at the place as he was he kinda.. stumbled onto something he wasn't meant to see! he had been pretty out of the loop when it came to the disappearances so this was a big shock.. of course he was spotted and now has a giant target on his back.. insert security breach here..

he does NOT want to be involved with any of this at all but he's starting to see dead people and a cosplayer wants him dead.. so he's involved

currently he's trying to stay out of the building but.. y'know he's homeless and the elements are not kind and he needs to eat so he keeps breaking back in to get what he needs since he knows the place so well

he's been spotted and chased several times and ended up fucking up his ankle pretty bad! this headcanon kinda came to me as an in universe explanation for the stamina bar.. he can only force himself on it so long ouch

it has been left untreated for a real long time so even if it was to be taken care of now he's probably gonna have problems with it for years if not the rest of his life

Fuck it Protag! Cassie idea

Cassie Drake-Fisher, 21, starts to investigate treasures on her own and along the way bumps into Jason Dante II, the nephew of the man who tried killing her father over radioactive gold. God after it was found out (well not really "found out", more that anyone with a critical brain knew she was shit) that jk terfling was an awful person & so was her work, the supposed support for poc, transfems, and neurodivergent folk was artificial at best when people would recommend supposedly better alternatives to potter.

I seen people recommend riordan having better books but if you at posts being critical of him, you'll know that's very much that's the opposite. I can't even add much because the post will saying everything. But Animorphs is also another mess that i don't know where to begin. Marco is ambiguously latino and Cassie, the only black girl protag, is constantly criticized by the fandom compared to the other white characters while also being having questionable writing choices as well. The hork-bajir being indigenous while the books saying that the smartest ones have the intelligence of a child and constantly being canon fodder while under mind control. Pretty much no gay characters besides two andalites being coded but they only have a few sparse appearances with only human gayness just being referenced a handful at times at best, with the only possible trans character being responsible for the Extinction of a species. And there's basically no neurodivergent rep at all and the only disabled rep are "healed" of their disability temporarily and later used as sacrificial lambs, being gunned down. So yeah, none of these series are worth crap.

HI SARAH thank you for all the questions I love OC questions :3 Sorry for taking so long to answer these ^^;

1. Your first OC ever?

Twas a My Little Pony OC named Western Cat (name received from a generator). This was also generated, but she was "a unicorn with flame colored hair, a golden coat, and purple eyes". I interpreted flame colored as red and yellow hair, golden coat as golden yellow, and purple eyes as. Well, purple eyes. I then turned her into a Sonic OC, and years later made a human design based on the Sonic OC and changed their gender to match mine and wait a minute... That's Sky! My OC who acts as a fictional in-story representation of myself! So yeah, my sona is actually my first OC (after dozens of revisions over about 8 years of existing)

4. A character you rarely talk about?

Hasedonia! Mostly because I don't have too much for her and her story yet, but I also tend to talk about H&R! less than R&RWG. She's another person who's been isekaid to Phitania and appears to be half dragon

11. Is there any OC of yours you could describe as a “sunshine”?

Bailey is probably the closest to sunshine? I originally thought "just as a kid though", but she's still optimistic as a teen.

19. Introduce an OC that means a lot to you (and explain why)

I don't really talk about these characters too much since I don't really talk about my regular novel stuff, but one of the main characters is a Jewish girl named Talia. She works in a bookstore and the story opens with her... not exactly in the best place. She's been fired from many places, she's a huge people pleaser and ended up getting dumped for that, she's still not over her ex, and she feels like she disappoints everyone she meets. Her arc has her moving on from her ex as she and her old friend Cassie reconnect. Instead of it ending with her and Cassie dating as would be typical of a YA story though, she just stays single. I don't think the story is really YA anymore since she and everyone else have aged up as I've gotten older, but I created her back when I kept missing an old ex-BFF. I also just like that she doesn't end up in a relationship at the end because YA stories I read at the time ALL had romance in them. Before I really started to realize I was arospec I felt like teens should have the opportunity to see characters that stay single and are okay with it in order to send the message that you don't have to date. I don't even know if Talia is arospec or not yet but either way it's important that she has the option to not date and still learn to be happy without one

23. Introduce OC that has changed from your first idea concerning what the character would be like?

The Sun King is a benevolent ruler who acts as Shiko's guide and confidante in his journey through Phitania, a magical world where Shiko becomes the hero. Hey, I think I should add more to this guy. *Turns around and now he's the main villain and his character and actions are now similar to the likes of King Bradley from FMAB, Kyubey from Madoka Magica, and Belos from Owl House* Oops...

So basically yeah he was supposed to just be a stock king character until I wanted to develop him more. He's still the ruler of Phitania and initially appears to be an ally, like he acts like the perfect dad towards everyone and the country is at peace, and then after Shiko dies he reincarnates him back on Earth and tells him he needs to send people to Phitania and then he can be brought back. Originally there was no real reason except hey we need isekai protags, but uhhh you know how I mentioned Kyubey as being inspiration? Yeah... Turns out everyone in Phitania is someone who had a miserable life who got "sent" there and he gave them happiness but has secretly been draining them of their hope and determination in order to become all powerful! And he was just supposed to be some guy...

32. Which one of your OCs would be the most suitable horror game protagonist and why?

Neil! This can work as both a human and a truck. He has a lot of trauma, and his life is basically a horror game. Even though he can drive himself around as a truck, Shiko can still take control of him at any time and that tends to happen when they have a target they need to run over. Like imagine at any moment your freedom can be taken away and you're forced to run through someone at top speeds in order to kill them. That's so fucked up

For Yume Nikki protag, I'd say Evanthe. Its whole story is it running through various scenarios to decide what to do with its newfound sentience, so the open-ended nature of a YNFG combined with a vague ending would work well with this. God now I wanna make one...

Nova Armstrong! Ze's a Batman Rogue OC I recently came up with based on the Rookie from Lego DC Super Villains and the first Planet Master (old Silver Age villain who only appeared once; ze's actually related to him but I dunno how yet). Nova is a henchman for hire and can temporarily steal people's powers and strengths. Ze will also copy other people's personalities, though this is due to an effort to fit and unrelated to hir powers. Ze does this to fit in with any rogue ze wants to get hired to

Hir reasoning for working in the rogue industry is ze's trying to find hir brother, but after ze does find him, ze ends up becoming a solo villain called "The Black Hole". Now ze goes really overboard with the "steal people's powers and strength" shtick and keeps trying to find ways to make it permanent. I haven't designed it yet beyond "this needs a long flowing cloak with a hood" and "stars" but hir whole costume is based on space

dear sweet cassie, partaker in the forbidden non-romantic alistair marriage that the game never knows how to acknowledge. very much the definition of gaslight gatekeep girlboss. and by that i mean a genuinely bad person in the sense that she tends to toy with peoples feelings. had an extremely public affair with anders during the events of awakening. It takes a good 5 years for her and alistairs marriage to be anything even approaching functional. extremely savvy, ambitious, and charismatic; a great politician and an extremely effective ruler. morrigan is her closest friend in the world (yes i know i never had her in my party. thats because im bad at video games and needed a healer.) and they’re like sisters.

my default hawke. 6′2, buff as shit, slept her way through half of her friends before finally settling with anders. she’s a blood mage and her first use of blood magic was during a particularly nasty fight where she got speared through the stomach. she carves herself up for mana; anders puts her back together. does things in anger and impulse and then regrets them (see: giving isabela to the arishok, never reconciling with carver after leandras death). mean if you dont know her, intensely protective if you do, but takes betrayal extremely poorly. constantly taking action, even if it doesn’t turn out very well; she is physically incapable of being a bystander. her and anders are my fave da couple ever... ask me about my post da2 hcs <3 theyre happy and have a daughter named bethany :] she punched cullen in the mouth at the end of da2 so hard that it left that scar.

literally is there anything like your first dai playthrough being an elf. aoife is... remarkably well realized in my brain for a character who’s life began as my friend chanting “goth elf! goth elf! goth elf!” over my shoulder while i was in character creator. very affable and friendly, but extremely politically adept with a capability for subterfuge that even she isn’t fully comfortable with. huge history buff. solas was like a big brother to her and her faith was extremely important to her so trespasser was crushing. very curious, especially about magic; definitely learned some blood magic from hawke after hearing dorian and solas talk about it. dorian is her closest platonic friend, but cullen is her rock. as in he is literally so normal compared to everything else that happens to her and she loves him for it. also her and hawke are friends and a scenario that lives rent free in my mind is them hanging out while anders and cullen attempt to kill each other in increasingly looney toons-esque ways in the background. she turned out remarkably pretty for an inquisitor... look at her

....and that’s it for my canon timeline. onto the secondary timeline!

DEAR SWEET RHIANNON. 4′8 powerhouse with a sword longer than she is tall. i first played rhiannon with a friend who was very new to rpgs and she picked all of the mean dialogue options because she thought they were funny, which led to me discovering that alistair reacts oddly and kind of hilariously well to being made fun of by a female warden pre-duncan dying. rhiannon is fun in that she literally gives no shits about conflict avoidance; if you start something with her, she’ll see it through. disliked alistair on principle and poked fun at him when they first met, but after the events at ostagar bonded to him extremely strongly. very close to him pretty much at the exclusion of all her other companions. extremely strong willed, laughs loud and smiles wide, no real concept of subterfuge except for when she’s hiding her own pain, generally goes in the path of least resistance if it gets to her goal faster. #1 arl eamon hater. she looks pretty different when i draw her compared to how she looked ingame but this screenshot of her doing the like. dead deer tinder profile pic pose is extremely powerful

cecelia is the truest tragic hawke that i’ve played (rip cecelia. you had the misfortune to exist in the warden alistair timeline). lost carver, lost bethany in the deep roads, lost her mother, believes that fenris has left her. act 2; a real rough ride for cecelia. aside from all the tragedy, she’s tough as nails, direct, and extremely blunt. very cautious in combat, even more so since she lost both carver and bethany. plans upon plans upon plans and prefers to strike unseen and unheard from the shadows. DEEPLY in love with fenris, best friends with isabela and merrill. aware of anders affection for her and keeps some distance for both their sakes; after the chantry explosion she helps him fake his own death on the condition that she never sees him again. when terrible things are not constantly happening she has a very dry wit, part of the reason her and fenris get along so well. too many bad things happen to her for someone with such nice thighs and such a stylish cape. her save file had some weird bugs with companion like.... staring???? in weird directions???

the absolute energy here. she also turned out very pretty in inquisition.

melly is easily my most powerful da oc. not in terms of in-universe power (although sword and board reaver is like. unkillable.) but in the sense that she is a catholic (read: andrastian) mid-40′s widowed mobster milf. she’s very close to cassandra and vivienne and consults them for advice before she goes to her actual advisors. even she was surprised by her relationship with sera; she finds sera’s unique sense of humor very charming and really likes pulling silly pranks with her as a reprieve from her everyday life. when she’s not with sera, she tends to be very pragmatic and logical when making decisions for the inquisition and has a very defined sense of purpose. she takes her role as both as the inquisitor and the herald of andraste very seriously. she’s very warm and soothing to be around during off hours and random inquisition members will often drift towards her for life advice. first draft of her and sera in this drawing had sera wearing this

Ooh can I ask about Dogen in Psychoshift? It says he's the protag in there so I am very curious about him, how he handles everything, aaaaand the Boole fam in general.

Ooh, man! I'm actually super hyper to talk about him (Though I can't draw him worth a darn). Yet again, I'm gonna go off on a tangent to try to describe my ideas, so I'll include a cut here.

So, let's start with Compton. In Psychoshift, he's actually in the jar (While Cassie is the one who goes into the extreme state that currently is in need of a better name still), so he's assumed dead for the past 20 years. His daughter is the one taking care of the two Boole children, doing her best to keep them in line, though she does tend to go a bit far in her reprimands. Psychic powers are considered dangerous because Grandpa Compton had them, and psychic powers killed him, so she's trying to keep them away from that life, taking them along with her wherever she has to go for her job. Mama Boole is a bit over-protective since she lost her father, although they lost contact, because she doesn't know the extent of what happened to him. All she knows is that something happened, and he was killed by someone he trusted. It had a lot to do with psychics, and therefore the idea of her children going into the world of psychics terrifies her.

Dogen and Sam are therefore a lot like Raz and Frazie, in that Sam is trying to take after their mother and to make her proud while Dogen is interested in finding out more about their lost grandfather and the so-called "insect curse" that leads them to being in massive trouble if they try to talk to or keep insects. So after another situation where he gets in trouble for trying to talk to animals and make friends with them ("Mama, it's easier to talk to the squirrels than the other kids" "Dogen, you need to cut that out right now.") he finally writes a really messy note and runs away from home, taking the bus and hitchhiking his way to Whispering Rock.

Dogen gets through most of the challenges with the help of animals in the worlds he passes through. For instance, things like El Odio, the bunnies in Basic Braining, or the snails in Waterloo World. I'm not entirely sure what the mental worlds would be yet, since... Y'know, I'm not really sure on many of the characters yet.

He's also got rather uncontrollable blastokinesis too, so he gets the hat as a gift from Raz, who's one of the two kids who really seems to get him. The hat stays on unless it's an extreme situation or he's in extreme danger, which means that boss fights can be a little bit more one-sided in this au.

His version of the Meat Circus, honestly, would likely be a mix of a school and (if we go with Cal in Morry's role) an aquarium of a sort? with water and waves leaking into it all... His mother would be his version of not!Augustus, and it ends up with his sister and mother both there to help him.

In the second game, the whole "Compton Boole" segment comes up. Compton's brain is found and shoved into Crispin's body and, of course, is instantly overloaded and on the floor shaking. Dogen goes in, helps out, and puts together that this guy likes animals and cooking. There's likely some discussion like "You remind me of my grandpa. Mama says he liked animals and cooking, so she teaches me all about cooking." "That's very interesting but I am unsure what I should say to that" until they finally put together "Wait. You're a Boole. Holy frick. You're my grandson/grandpa" and hug for an hour. Ok, maybe less, but you get my point. Compton likely goes to talk with Sam and his daughter, and then chickens out on the way and promptly tries to ask the others for help instead.

The main points are still mostly the same! The part I really need to figure out is how he'd look... I've got a sketch, though, but it's old. And in a lined notebook. And at school instead of with me right now. I wish I could find it but I cannot.

was thinking last night about the direction the fnaf story is going and I was thinking about vanny cassie. like vanny cassie would be such a perfect villain because it brings vanny back to the spotlight and cassie has a connection to Gregory as a friend.

her arc would be so tragic in every way and she wouldnt know what or who to believe. she would believe she was abandoned by Gregory again (in this case he didnt cut the elevator) like all her friends and her dad did and that vanny is a friend. both manipulation and supernatural mind control stuff like glitchtrap did to vanessa to create vanny.

and 3 stars could be the protags in a post hw2 dlc game that's big and free roam story like sb. I think Gregory would be a better choice as player because he would have the best reason to chase after cassie; shes his friend. vanessa would be very important also because like. Vannys back. and now she has a family and another kid shes gonna fight like hell for.

"the family missed the greatest opportunity of their lives" vanessa didnt destroy vanny glitchtrap and mimic when she should have, and now they're back. and she isnt gonna run away scared this time. shell finally end them for good

and also Vannys motivation. since vanny killed glitchtrap (probably to take his place as big bad bunny virus) this makes you wonder why shes doing this. we dont know why glitchtrap did it either so I guess the same reason as him. shes supposed to be reluctant tho so? idk what's changed. but we'll go with building the monarchy evil pyramid back up

so vanny would be trying to get all of the followers back, or maybe shes still following mimics orders and it wants them back. could have a potential rebellion plot from vanny at the end but that's besides my point

the point is itd be such a fun spot to reveal ggy. Vanessa's been hiding it from Gregory to protect him, maybe freddy too, and Gregory has no idea and just knows he has tons of memory loss. hes moved past it to live his new life, but after doing all this to get Cassie back, it turns out vanny wants all the followers back and hey, why is she talking about 2?? who is dr rabbit?? why is she after me??

I just think theres a lot of potential in a plot like that for all characters. Vanessa's arc as vanny is already so interesting but cassie has an obviously very similar arc becoming vanny but also so different. she would be manipulated while shes alone hurting and believing she was betrayed with abandonment issues and taken advantage of. vanny would be using her as a vessel, so theyd have to get her out of cassie to kill her for good.

and if Gregory had to find out about ggy at this point, itd be a big deal but also truly make that connection between cassie and Gregory. no matter who cut the elevator Gregory would feel at fault because he either did it or wasnt fast enough to stop cassie before it happened. so he would have to confront condemning cassie to the same fate his family and now apparently HE went through and that's his best friend man. and also not to mention the concpet of vanessa and cassie of course
