Canada Pavilion - Pavillon du Canada 1986, a watercolour poster print for Expo86 by Thomas J. Huntley. I hadn’t noticed this print before, but I recently encountered it in a local thrift shop. If you’re looking to round out your 80s decor, this poster print might be it!
Alas, I didn’t buy it myself, and I’ve only seen it once…

[VIWF] returned for eight wine-soaked days of fun. Known as "the largest wine festival in the Americas", VIWF wined and dined thousands of attendees at its various tastings, pairing meals, and signature events across the city.

This past weekend from May 5th - 8th I had the pleasure of attending @artvancouver, Western Canada's largest art show! My hubby came with me and spent the whole weekend helping me set up my booth and attend it. He is my biggest cheerleader and support and we had a great time! I made so many new connections, appreciate some insane talent, and I was able to share and even sell some of my work. Very thankful all around!

@YVR, Gate 58: With Edelweiss Air WK11/LX8011 direct service to ZRH, distance 8‘303 km, 10hrs flight time, A340-300 „Belalp“
Heute ist unser letzter Tag in Vancouver. Eine grossartige Stadt. Um 12h00 checken wir aus im Pan Pacific Hotel direkt am Canada Place gelegen. Von dort geht es mit dem Yellow Cab in 35 Minuten für 40.- Can$ zum Flughafen.
In der SkyTeam Lounge warten wir auf unseren Rückflug der sich um eine Stunde verzögert, da unsere Maschine aus Zürich mit Verspätung ankommt. Um 17h30 geht’s dann endlich Richtung Abflugpiste. Noch auf dem Rollfeld meldet Captain Beat Frauenknecht einen medizinischen Notfall an Bord. Wir müssen zum Gate zurückkehren. Die Person verlässt das Flugzeug und mit ihr das Gepäck welches noch aus dem Frachtraum geholt werden muss. Das kostet nochmals eine halbe Stunde Verspätung. Doch dafür haben alle Passagiere an Bord Verständnis auch wenn die Anschlussflüge in Zürich nicht mehr garantiert werden können. Während des Rückflugs kann die verloren gegangene Zeit nicht mehr aufgeholt werden.
Die Pünktlichkeit entspricht nicht dem, was ich von einer Lufthansa-Tochtergesellschaft erwarten darf.

In 2019, a strange little pink house appeared right on the top of the historical plant of the Canada Malting Silos, built in 1905 and abandoned in 1986. The unknown authors brought the material to an height of about 35 meters to build this absolutely unique thing and added later other pieces to their creation, like a Christmas three, a gift and other decorations.
I think I have never seen anything like this in hundreds of explorations in abandoned places!
