How does Duri keep his childish self even though he's evolved into a different form?
It fascinates me how Air evolving into Ais changed him into a colder person (duh). But why is Daun to Duri not, despite him getting a different form? Enjoy my essay about how a fluffy cinnamon roll plant baby grows up into a spiny cinnamon roll plant baby.
Air evolving into Ais gave him a different power structure which turns his attack into a solid object instead of liquid. Air was always relaxed and tend to avoid combat. Whilst there is Ais who gives you a dead stare as he's always combat ready. At least that's how I see it.
Then that got me thinking: Oh, surely evolving into a different form could affect your personality, huh?
I took a look at the other boys and it seems that the only one having a different power form is Daun to Duri. However, it doesn't seem that his way of speaking nor personality change as drastically as Ais.
The concept of thorn itself sounds like something coming from a villain (looking at Disney Maleficent). Also, Duri has more dark color in his outfit.
Then how does he keep his innocent self? Well, it's because he was based on … cactus! Or at least he was awakened through it.
In EP05, Ochobot explained that he was activated through his encounter with the cacti at Planet Gurunda.
Cacti thorns are actually their modified leaves. These thorns help to protect them from the harsh environment they're living in. They provide protection from predators and keep water from evaporating.
Duri didn't change because he's still the leaf himself is. He just evolved into something stronger to protect himself and others. Despite the natural scary look of thorns, they're there to shield their host.
The flower language of cactus is protection, warmth, and being able to survive through life no matter how painful or difficult things are.
How would he be like when he evolve into Balak? Wouldn't this boy get the most drastic change by then?!
Come to think of it, Gempa evolving into Kristal might also change his personality. I wonder how would he turn out to be?

An Au where the gang has grown up to be in their late 20 and earliest 30 and our Boi and Fang is happily engaged. But thats not what the Au is about.
Is about when the partner when to a strange planet that was thought to be left dead for good, but there, they found a child, that made origami breathe thus becoming her friends, and her bird companion, that has spend their whole life on that planet together, all alone.
They tried looking for her parents with no luck and end up bringing her home.

things about the Boboiboy series that drive me NUTS (this list is written solely from memory)
the fact that the first three elements, Wind, Earth, and Lightning, didn't really start out as having different personality's from Boboiboy himself (at least, not by much/it wasn't extremely noticable) but then, Lightning, after being split for too long, losing his memories completely, and achieving tier 2, becoming Thunderstorm, suddenly goes all Edgy(TM). and then Wind eats a mood-changing potion and goes manic, and not only does that unlock his tier 2, making him Cyclone but that becomes his personality. like. hello??? the implications.... and then later on, Fire, Water, Leaf, and Light manifest WITH their personalities pre-set. what??? the vague implication that the elements are sentient and the personalities started becoming more obvious when Boboiboy's mind started slipping/letting them have freer reign haunts me every day.
speaking of Fire's manifestation. he initially manifested from the stress of exams and walked around accidentally burning shit down in the middle of the night. what a mood tbh.
if the elements are sentient, the implications of Retak'ka stealing them from Boboiboy and using them- without having his personality change, is INSANE. like bro. he used them as a weapon instead of letting them be actual people..... and then later on in the comics Thunderstorm gets taken away AGAIN and is trapped in a sword, a literal weapon, and is used. again. HELLO????
both of the first times Thunderstorm gets summoned (both the obvious first time and the first time after they all got reset to tier 1 due to Complications) involving his phobia kills me every time why the FUCK did they do that. they didn't even address it the second time around but they animated Lightning looking like he was in distress anyways. WHY DID THEY DO THAT TO HIM. i know he's the fave but like. was this necessary.
BOBOIBOY JUST DECIDING "Y'KNOW WHAT??? I'M GONNA INVENT FUSIONS NOW HERE WE GO" IN THE SECOND MOVIE AND PROCEEDING TO ABSOLUTELY WIPE THE FLOOR WITH RETAK'KA
i could list so much Thunderstorm stuff tbh he's definitely the fave they give him so many cool bits of animation. he does the "teleports behind you" move SO OFTEN and it's SO GOOD
Leaf's deadpan "Fashion Tragedy" line
that one time Boboiboy split into Fire, Wind, and Leaf, and EVERYONE agreed he shouldn't have done that and should never do it again cause those three have negative braincells when in a group together
the songs??? like. the opening songs. the insert songs used in the movies. the OST. why the hell are they so good. i mean i know i personally like em cause they tend to use rock. but like. its SO GOOD.
Yaya and Ying being arguably the two most powerful/capable members of the friend group as they should
that one time Thunderstorm and Fang fought and they paused right before hitting each other and the objects behind both of them exploded from the force of the other's attack
in the first movie when it hinted that we'd see Boboiboy without his hat for the first time ever throughout the entire movie and then it FINALLY HAPPENED when he caught a giant hammer right before it could hit him and punched the dude away with a blast of energy. he has a white streak in his hair and it's visible in the series from this point onwards.
I KNOW IVE SAID A LOT OF THUNDERSTORM SCENES BUT THAT POINT IN GALAXY WHERE HE WAS USING TIER 2 BEFORE HE SHOULD'VE BEEN USING IT AND HE KEPT SWAPPING IN BETWEEN BOBOIBOY AND THUNDERSTORM THROUGHOUT THE FIGHT??? THAT WAS COOL AS FUCK I LOVED THAT
i could list so many of the really cool shots from this series tbh. that one time Light slow-mo backflipped over a bunch of debris and then activated laser eyes to shoot at the villain is a highlight.
literally everything about the fact the plot of this show went from "aliens come to earth to steal chocolate" to "boboiboy nearly fucking dies on an almost daily basis"

I see there is a lack of x reader in the boboiboy fandom .

So , guess who is writing about an Ejo Jo out of boredom ?
Points to a leaf for reference .
So , theotherically speaking if Ejo Jo got redeemed , of course . His top three love languages would be open to explore to its potential .
1. Physical Touch
He is 100 % touch starved . Why ? Look at him ! I'm convinced he was on his loner era for years and the only touch he had was metal . He definitely hugs his computer on rare touchy feely days . How I know ? Instincts .
2. Acts of Service
Points to his computer . He would be the guy that would be on his knees if someone besides his computer brought him coffee when he's overworking himself . You cook for him ?! If you look at the kitchen you would catch a wild Ejo Jo doing a bunch of yippies . You did the laundry ?! He would cry grateful tears .
"You did this for me ??"
3. Positive affirmations
He records it . In mind and in audio recordings , he would also write it in his diary journal .
Dear diary journal ,
Today my s/o called me pretty this morning and I'm still thinking about it when I'm writing my work . Please sent help . I don't want to go to the hospital again due to a heart attack . I will get another one when I see the bill .

So, I kinda want to ask this, but have you watched BoBoiBoy Galaxy and BoBoiBoy? The way Boboiboy uses his powers is interesting and I was curious if you’ve seen it? I wanted to know your take on Boboiboy interacting with his elements, seeing as the season 2 comics after Galaxy ending and the movies have a lot of element interaction. Rather than element interaction, I was curious on interactions between Boboiboy and his elements.
Tbh with you, I stopped watching Boboiboy after that Adudu's mother episode. Her action seriously disgusted me. Can't the film production just create a new villain, rather than using an old one? He was reformed already!! She ruined Adudu's character development! ><
I did managed to watched the episode where Boboiboy get a new element tho'. Leaf and Light. So, one thing I can say about his elements is...
Galaxy did them dirty. At least, reason-for-their-appearance wise. I like their interaction enough. They're basically sibling, your honor, you can't change my mind lol
In the first season, Boboiboy got his elements because he feels a certain emotion. Thunderstorm, anger. Whirlwind, extreme happiness. Fire, fck-duty-I-just-wanna-play. Water, laziness. And Earthquake, wanting to save his precious people. So, when in Galaxy, every single one of his elements came out because he wanted to save his precious people (Leaf is the only exception, fortunately), it...makes em sounds flat. They did have their original emotion, yet that still doesn't make their appearance worth remembering in my opinion.
And kinda don't make sense as well. Why Light sounds so arrogant? You know your enemy was hard to beat, that's why you are here now. You should not underestimated him just cuz you have an upgrade now ><
In short, I like their personality. I like Fire and Water rivalry. I like Fire, Leaf, and Whirlwind stupid interaction (they only have one brain cell). I like Earthquake mother henning, Thunderstorm aloofness, and Light cockiness. But I just wish they treat their first appearance better. Do it like season 1 ><

Brain and Emotion
I'm not that good in english. And this is just some random things that have been in my mind since the first time Light appear.

Let's talk about Leaf and Light's existence. Is it just me or Leaf and Light existence isn't just caused by their surroundings area but also their brain?
I mean before Leaf appear, he got hit by a tree. Then he suddenly transform into BoBoiBoy Leaf. The hit he got makes him disorganized and irresponsible. In short : A simpleton. After that, it is revealed by Ochobot that his watch had scanned the surrounding area when he was on Planet Gurunda, created a new Element form.
Move to the Light element... when the gang find DataBot and ask him how they can activate the Light form, he eventually reveals that the Light Element—that was originally from SinarBot—has three levels, and the users need to increase their intellect in order to activate it.
In 22nd and 23rd episode, we can see that BoBoiBoy's intelligence getting higher, even Admiral Tarung and Captain Kaizo praise him. But the things that got me is... he couldn't unlock Light because his watch couldn't scan his surrounding that has potential to unlock the element. After being teleported by Ochobot near the Sunnova Station, Boboiboy finally transformed into Light himself.
So... aside from the absorption and stuff, does it mean Leaf and Light exist because "there has to be something that involves BoBoiBoy's brain" ?? Just like BoBoiBoy being a simpleton (Leaf) or BoBoiBoy being a master strategist (Light)??
Now I think about it, if Leaf and Light are unlocked because his "brain", then Fire and Water are unlocked because his "emotions". Fire is unlocked because Boboiboy having a pressure on harsh exam. While with Water, Boboiboy is really got himself calm back then. (Not to mention the watch also absorp his surrounding. When he was on Planet Volcania a planet is filled with active volcanos and rivers of molten lava, and when he was on Earth that 2/3 of this planet is covered by water)

yknow i don't think any media ever is going to top the fucking EXPERIENCE i went through watching the Boboiboy movie at age 14(??) and seeing Thorn and Solar appear for the first time out of NOWHERE during the final battle.
i need you to imagine this with me. there's a kid with elemental powers. he can split into multiple versions of himself each with a specific personality and element. for a while it was just Earth, Wind, and Lighting, who upgraded to Quake, Cyclone, and Thunderstorm.
then in s3 we got Fire and Water. okay. cool. neat. they're here in the movie too.
oh hey!!! now Fire and Water have upgraded to Blaze and Ice!!! awesome, this is such a cool final battl-

like i'm telling y'all- it was a fuckign EXPERIENCE and they were only on screen for like 2 minutes max. i didn't even find out their personalities until Galaxy came out- and in Galaxy, Thorn was reset to Leaf and Solar was reset to Light (albeit he went from Light to Solar within like one episode but WHATEVER it was fuckign WILD)
