Is she sleeping on that throne? It’s really hilarious to think that, yeah, of course she’s sleeping on her throne, she is in full-on depression mode, she’s probably eating fruit snacks off the floor, too! But it’s also heartbreaking because she’s doing it to punish herself, to hurt herself for everything she’s lost.  Her family all dead.  Her planet dead and poisoned.  The home she grew up in is like a tomb, empty and cold.  The seat that was her family’s throne is meaningless now, she sits on it and it means nothing, she sleeps on it and it means nothing. She’s pushing everyone away, even when Din seeks her out, her response is annoyance, and then determination to get rid of him once and for all.  She’s trying to lay down and just die here, empty and alone and cold. She’s trying to make the Kalevala palace her tomb, too. But the thing is that people who are truly dead don’t keep punishing themselves like this.  People who are truly dead don’t go running to help someone they barely even know, but is a Mandalorian who needs her help.  People who are truly dead don’t tell the other history about Mandalore because they know he’d want to hear it.  People who are truly dead don’t compliment the baby on their bravery and say they’re pretty tough and a good navigator.  People who are truly dead don’t share their Mandalorian food with another because this is what all Mandalorians are raised on. She’s trying so hard to make herself hurt, to cut herself off from anyone else left alive, anyone who is there with her, so that she can never get her hopes up again, so that she can never believe in Mandalore again, but it only takes one person who truly believes to start slowly sparking her back to life, to talk about her painful history and talk about how beautiful this place was was, to tell a story about how she was bathed in the Living Waters as well, and each successive story she tells Din gets less cynical and depressed.  Every time she pushed Grogu out of the way to safety or smirked at him, a little more light came back to her. Bo-Katan’s not all the way there yet, she’s still got a shell up around her, she’s still walking through the ruins of the planet that she lost, that still cuts her every time she thinks about it, but going from the dead-eyed woman at the beginning, to the spark in her eye as she tells Din stories or reads the plaque, you can see her fire coming back. As much as this is Din’s show, it’s also a show about Mandalorians and what that means to him, but also what it’s coming to mean to Bo-Katan, given everything she’s experienced in her lifetime as a Mandalorian, too.

Din and Bo-katan are such siblings it's SO funny. Din shaking his head as he left her Palace like he's been dealing with her pessimism all his life instead of like two instances. "I toLd you😡I wanna be left aLo- Where's your dad😐He's in trouble? Let's go." Saves Din's life, "it's honestly adorable you believe those children's stories🙄". Teasingly gives him a tour of the Waters, immediately jumps in to rescue him when he falls in. Come on

Author’s note: This is the kindest ask/request I’ve ever received🥹🥹 I hope I did your idea justice bb 🖤
Summary: You’ve been traveling with Din and Grogu for quite sometime now as the mechanic for the Razor Crest. But when Bo-Katan joins your group you started feeling a little threatened by her. You’ve had feelings for Din for a long time and Din and Bo just seem to click so well that it makes you feel jealous. Now you, Din, Grogu are on Nevarro right before the Mandalorians leave to reclaim Mandalore and some feelings are brought to the surface.

The jealousy stirs in your stomach, watching Din and Bo talk while all of the other Mandalorians celebrate around them. You look down at Grogu, who you’re holding on your hip and he babbles happily. At least he's here to somewhat cheer you up.
The jealousy has been festering for a while, ever since Bo-Katan came to Din’s rescue in the Mines of Mandalore. Grogu came up from the Mines and it was clear that Din needed help. So you and him went back to Bo’s palace much to your chagrin. She brought both of you back to Mandalore and rescued Din. And ever since then she’s been a fixture in your little group.
You watch the way they interact and you can’t help but feel jealous. She’s so strong and a natural born leader. It’s clear that Din holds her in such a high regard. And though you can’t blame him, it still makes you jealous.
You’ve had feelings for Din ever since you started traveling with him and Grogu. You would take care of the Razor Crest’s repairs and in return you’d get a place to stay and food in your stomach.
Once Grogu went to train with Luke you hoped that maybe something would happen between you and Din. But it never did. And you just accepted that your feelings for him were unrequited. You were somewhat accepting of that until Bo-Katan came into the picture. And now watching them together is almost too much to bear.
It’s the night before the Mandalorians are supposed to leave to retake Mandalore. You’re supposed to go with them but your jealousy has you second guessing everything. And before you can even think about whether this is a good idea or not, you're walking over to Din and Bo.
“Din?” you ask, interrupting whatever he and Bo were talking about.
He turns to face you and Grogu.
“Are you two okay?”
“Oh, we’re fine! But can I talk to you about something for a moment?”
“Sure,” he says before turning back to Bo, “I’ll be back.”
Your heart sinks at that as you walk back to the Razor Crest together. You stop at the exit ramp and turn to face him before blurting out, “I don’t think I should go with you all tomorrow.”
You wince in anticipation of his response to which he says, “I was thinking the same.”
Your stomach stirs at his words. He really doesn’t feel the same way and this is clear confirmation of it.
“Okay… um well I’m gonna get him to bed,” you say, referring to Grogu, “It’s getting kind of late. H-have fun,” you finish, your voice cracking.
You don’t even wait for a response from him before turning on your heel and walking up the exit ramp of the Crest, closing it behind you. You get Grogu settled in his hammock for bed before climbing up the ladder to the cockpit and sitting in one of the passenger seats. You put your hand in your hands and let the tears flow. Even though he never confirmed any feelings for you, you’d be happy with just the three of you in your own little group. But then Bo-Katan showed up and so did all of the other Mandalorians and now your Mandalorian is more unavailable than ever.
After a while you hear the exit ramp open again and you know he’s coming back, probably to ask you about your little outburst earlier. He climbs up the ladder and sits in the pilot chair, spinning it around to face you.
“You wanna tell me what’s going on?” he says softly.
“There’s nothing wrong. I’m fine,” you lie.
“We both know that’s not true.”
You’re both silent for a moment. But then you decide it’s better to just get this over with now.
“I was just feeling… jealous.”
“Jealous? Why?”
“Of you and Bo-Katan.”
He almost laughs but he restrains himself. “Why would you be jealous of Bo-Katan and I?”
“I just… I see the way you two are together. And it hurts because I have feelings for you but I know I’ll never be good enough. She’s a Mandalorian and I’m not. And I just-”
But you’re cut off by him. “You have feelings for me?”
“…Yes. I just never told you. I guess this whole time I was waiting for you to make the first move but you never did so I just assumed you didn’t feel the same way. And then you told me you didn’t want me to come to Mandalore and I guess I just sort of spiraled.”
Now he’s laughing. But not in a mocking way. Almost like he’s laughing at himself.
“I didn’t want you to come to Mandalore because it’s too dangerous. I never want anything to happen to you. Maybe if both of us had just told each other our feelings sooner we wouldn’t be in this mess.”
“Our feelings?”
He grabs your hand. “I have feelings for you, cyar’ika. I think I was just too upset with Grogu being gone and then becoming an apostate to fully realize what was right in front of me.”
Maker, all you want to do is kiss him right now but you know you can’t.
“But… I’m not a Mandalorian.”
He laughs again. “It’s not completely unheard of for Mandalorians to be with non Mandalorians, cyar’ika.”
“What does that mean?”
“Sweetheart.”
Oh. Butterflies flutter in your stomach at the pet name. Feeling a little bashful you stand up and say, “Well we should probably get back to the others… right?”
He stands up, too, and says, “We could… or we could do something else.”
His hands find your waist and he pulls you closer before bringing one hand to the waistband of your pants.
“Din! Right here? What if someone outside sees us through the window?”
“So? Isn’t that what you wanted? For everyone to know you’re mine?”
You feel your core tingle in arousal at his words.
“Okay,” you whisper.
Wasting no time at all he pulls down your pants and tugs off one of his gloves before bringing it to your cunt, feeling how wet you are already.
“That did it for you, huh? Just the teasing?”
“Mhm,” you whimper against him as he plays with your cunt, teasing you until you’re soaked enough for entry. He plunges a finger in and you lean into him against his chest plate. His one finger works your walls until you’re begging for more.
“Please, Din. I need more,” you whimper.
“Of course,” he purrs, “You’ve waited for me long enough.”
And on the last word he pushes another finger in, curling both of them against your g-spot until you can barely keep yourself upright. You cum against the beskar chest plate, the cool metal contrasting against the heat rising in your cheeks. You feel your walls tighten and release around them before your wetness slides all the way down to his wrist.
He pulls his hand from you and takes off his other glove. But before you have time to whine at the absence of him inside you he hooks his hands on your hips and places you in front of the control panel and coaxes you to bend over.
You bend over and rest your arms on the control panel, standing on your tiptoes and sticking up your ass for him. Your eyes scan outside the ship; there’s no one around. But Din was right. You really wouldn’t care if someone caught you.
You feel his hand gather your juices, spreading it onto his cock. His hands return to your hips as he enters you, both of you sighing at the feeling of him being inside you at last. He pulls you into him as he thrusts in you, making a mess of you against the control panel. With each drive of his cock inside you he reaches deeper and more intense angles. You push back against him one last time as he fucks you with the most force he’s had so far and you’re coming around him. Your core muscles tighten and relax in rhythmic motions and your release slides down your legs. Your knees buckle underneath you; you can’t keep yourself upright for much longer. But triggered by your own orgasm Din comes, too. He paints your inside with his own release. But you don’t freak out. He knows you have an implant and you’ve been dying for his cum inside you already. He fucks you through his high before pulling out of you and sitting in the pilot seat behind him.
You pull yourself off of the control panel and sit on his lap. You’re both silent, just catching your breath until you ask, “So you don’t want me to come to Mandalore?”
“Stay here where it’s safe, cyar'ika. I’ll come back for you.”
“You promise?”
“I promise.”

ok look i need to elaborate on the Satine Accidentally Creates A Mandalorian Empire (also adopts people) AU because once i start talking i can't stop.
This all starts because Satine isn't searched thoroughly enough when she's captured by Death Watch. Because a pacifist Duchess wouldn't carry any weapons, right?
Wrong! Just because she's a pacifist doesn't mean she won't defend herself, remember? It just so happens that she carries a deactivator pistol, which shoots energy blasts capable of taking out droids, and it also just so happens that Death Watch's new leader is part droid.
Satine disables Maul's legs moments before she would have been impaled.
Bo-Katan tries not to cackle as she informs Satine that she is technically the new owner of the Darksaber. In any other situation, Bo would be furious, but the irony of it is just too much.
Anyway, time skip ahead. Satine is trying to maintain Mandalore's neutrality in the war while also keeping the Nite Owls on a metaphorical backpack leash and negotiating with the remaining Mauldalorians. She refuses to carry the Darksaber, so Bo puts it in storage with Satine's old armor. (The Ahsoka-on-Mandalore arc doesn't happen, FYI.) Then, they get news of the whole Empire deal. The Death Watch Mandalorians try to throw a party at the news of Order 66.
Then Obi-Wan shows up on their doorstep with a heavily pregnant senator and a little girl.
Padme is brought to a medcenter for treatment, and with better care, she survives the birth of her children.
But more important than that is Reva Sevander.
Because in this universe, Obi-Wan sensed one single light in the darkness of the temple, and lifted the trembling girl from the pile of bodies she'd hidden herself in. Obi-Wan takes her to Mandalore along with Padme. A Mandalorian doctor treats her wounds as she breaks down, sobbing out the truth of what happened.
Soon enough, rumors are flying from Mandalorian to Mandalorian, murmuring that the Jedi children were slaughtered too.
Some warrior Mandalorians hate Jedi more than they love children. Most of them love children more than they hate Jedi.
They nearly start another civil war over which one of the clans should be allowed to adopt the jet'ika girl. Finally, Satine steps in, proclaiming that this fighting is only hurting Initiate Sevander, and that the child will be Satine's personal ward.
Word gets out.
Vader sends his first Inquisitor on a mission to kill the Initiate and any Mandalorians who dare to defy the Empire's orders.
Bo-Katan sends the Inquisitor back in several pieces.
(The Empire decides to hold off on attacking Mandalore just yet.)
Anyway, Vader isn't the only one to hear about Satine adopting a Jedi girl. Word spreads to others.
Ahsoka comes first, dragging a tied-up clone Captain and demanding the use of a medcenter immediately. A few weeks later, Kelleran Beq and Grogu arrive. Caleb Dume follows, too weary to be afraid of what could happen to him.
Mandalore--which is nearly next door to Dathomir--picks up a distress signal that nobody else could have. Bo-Katan and squad of Nite Owls (including their newest recruit, Ahsoka) investigate, and they bring home a ragged Jedi and a little girl. Satine, who will never regret helping the Jedi but has been getting severe stress headaches at the number of floating objects in her life, nearly breaks down in tears when she hears the Dathomirian child excitedly discussing the undead with their newest Jedi rescue, a redhead boy who won't explain why he refuses to take off his gloves. She didn't sign up for this she didn't sign up for this she didn't sign up for this--
It doesn't stop her from taking in each new Jet'ika they find. The Sundari palace is full of younglings, and while Bo-Katan complains about it frequently, she's having so much fun as the wine aunt to two dozen miniature Jedi (and she even encourages her Nite Owls to listen for rumors of surviving Jedi and rescue them).
(Ahsoka becomes the unofficial go-to babysitter for Sabine and Tristan, and while I'm not a fan of Force-sensitive Sabine in canon, the hilarity of it in this AU is too much to pass up because imagine Ursa's face when Ahsoka breaks it to her that so um just FYI your daughter has space magic.)
Okay, enough about the Jedi (for now.) On to the war against the Empire!
So, Satine has been facing a lot of moral dilemmas, including what do you do when your enemies are evil and they're attacking your borders and they really can't be reasoned with? and she's solved most of them by giving Bo-Katan begrudging permission to "handle it." She's made it very clear that civilian casualties are absolutely unacceptable, and Bo-Katan huffs and says fiiiiine.
But then a nearby planet besieged by the Empire sends a plea for help. What can Satine do? Refusing goes against everything she stands for, but this would be a counterattack by Mandalore, not just self-defense!
In the end, there's no other answer. She sends the Nite Owls (and a Jedi who volunteered) to help the people and hopes that will be the end of it. She has her hands full already just trying to protect Mandalore!
But it happens again. And again. Satine still refuses to start a war against the Empire.
That changes when Sundari itself is full-on attacked.
Now, here's the thing about Satine.
She wasn't always peaceful.
It was the aftermath of the civil war--the destruction, the death, the needless suffering without a purpose, the fighting that she had been a part of--that made her a pacifist.
But when she runs to the palace window to look out at the city, listens to the bombs falling and the frantic comms from Bo-Katan's forces about the losing battle and the dying civilians, sees the Jedi rushing to shelter their children because one reason the Empire is here is to kill them, Satine remembers why she fought.
She spent fifteen years rebuilding Mandalore to be a peaceful, thriving society that no longer destroyed itself, and now someone else has come to burn it to the ground.
"Bring me my armor," she commands in a low, cold voice. "And the Darksaber."
The Empire is about to find out what happens when a pacifist goes to war.

The Heiress
Bo Katan Kryze sat on her throne, staring blankly out the window of her once grand palace. Kalevala, the once beautiful and thriving planet of her people, was dreary and wet —both from the oceans and the rains that seemed to never stop. It had been a long time since she’d stepped foot in her childhood home; she had spent the last several years as a mercenary, leading her fleet through the galaxy on odd jobs for hire.
“Milady,” the footman droid announced suddenly, drawing her attention from the windows. “The Princess of Senex —she has landed on the runway.”
Bo Katan’s brow furrowed as she slowly stood, lifting her helmet into her arms. “Is she alone?”
Rumors had been swirling around the Outer Rim —the death of Leox of Senex, an engagement to a “former” general of the Imperial fleet and a runaway princess. But Bo Katan had not heard much else regarding the Princess of Senex since her fleet —long gone by now, having abandoned her —got the call for the bounty.
“There is one person on her ship, but she is coming in alone,” the droid confirmed, as footsteps echoed through the grand but empty halls of her home.
Bo Katan stood tall as the Princess of Senex made her way into the throne room. It had been many years since the once ruler of Mandalore had seen the young woman; long enough for her to almost not recognize the princess as she stopped at the entryway. They were both much younger the last time they had interacted.
“I want to be a warrior,” the young princess exclaimed as Bo Katan removed her helmet. “I want to learn to fight.”
“Princesses do not fight,” Calisto of Senex corrected, giving her daughter a cold, almost callous look. “Lady Bo Katan is not a princess, therefore the rules do not apply to her.”
“Lady Kryze is a queen,” the child corrected, earning a pinch from her mother that caused her to cry out.
Bo Katan watched Calisto with a wary, distrusting gaze. “Anyone can learn to fight. Princesses especially should learn.”
“Do not –,”
The doors of the meeting room opening interrupted whatever scolding Calisto had planned, however. Leox of Senex stepped into the room finally, holding several holotablets. His presence was a welcome change from his wife’s —warmer, brighter. He had a smile on his face. And as soon as he was in the room, Calisto left without a word —disinterested in what was happening. Leox did not seem bothered by her departure; though neither did their child.
“I do apologize for keeping you waiting, Lady Kryze. I was finalizing the plans.”
Bo Katan simply nodded, glancing down at the child. “It is no concern, Senator. What you’re doing for me is more than I could ask for.”
Leox simply shook his head though, looking down at his daughter with a soft smile. “I hope you do not mind my daughter being here; she is learning diplomacy and I find the best way of doing so is being involved.”
“Of course; learn by doing. I don’t mind at all.”
The holotablet turned on, showing a map of her fallen planet of Mandalore. Bo Katan stared at it for a long time, noting the crystalized wasteland that had taken over everything.
“What happened?” The little girl asked, reaching up to point at a rather worse for wear image of the planet.
“The Empire destroyed my home,” Bo Katan explained, eyes not tearing from the images she was seeing. “Your father thinks your scientists here can break through the crystallization and find enough life to bring it back, though.”
“If he can’t, one day, I will,” the child promised, looking up at Bo Katan with a determination that no child her age should show.
“Perhaps we should teach you to fight then.”
Leox had laughed, shaking his head, before they continued their meeting.
“I sent a distress signal to you,” the princess announced when Bo Katan motioned her forward. “So it seems it fell on deaf ears.”
“If you sent it here, then it did,” Bo Katan offered as an explanation. “But it does not seem like you need my help anymore.”
The princess still held herself with that royal posture –one that Bo Katan was certain her mother probably beat into her –but she did not look like the princess she met all those years ago. Instead of a gown, she wore a practical and utilitarian outfit, complete with a blaster one hip and a knife holstered on the other. There was a fierce determination in her eyes, one that told Bo that she had been through much more than any Inner Rim princess would ever see in their lives. Bo Katan couldn't help but feel a sense of pride in seeing how far the young princess had come since they first met.
Gone was the naivety of youth, replaced with a hardened edge that only came from bloodshed and battle; through loss and pain.
“It’s been a long time,” Bo Katan continued, stepping away from the throne to meet the princess in the middle. “What brings you to me now?”
“Can’t a princess come visit a queen without a need?”
“Not you,” Bo Katan countered, giving her a knowing look. “Not when I received an invitation to your engagement celebration. Shouldn’t you be on your honeymoon by now?”
The princess pursed her lips, as if trying to keep herself from smiling. Bo Katan’s brow furrowed in confusion –what could she be smiling about? Was she not married to Silas Credence, a former Imperial general? A man decades older than her?
“I suppose the news has not been spread this far then,” she hummed, looking up at Bo once more. “Who do you think I am married to, Lady Kryze?”
“Imperial scum,” she offered up, narrowing her eyes.
“Then you would be incorrect,” the princess replied, a prideful smile taking over her grin. “My mother wanted that –but the engagement did not take. Marrying a dead man would be a scandal in and of itself.”
“What do you mean –Credence is alive, isn’t he?”
The two stared at each other for several moments before the princess shook her head. “No, he’s no longer alive.”
“What happened?” Bo Katan demanded, stepping closer to the young woman in front of her.
“I killed him,” she explained simply, meeting Bo’s eyes cautiously. “With the knife given to me by my actual fiance.”
“The more you speak, the more cryptic you’re becoming,” Bo pointed out, frowning deeply. Footsteps suddenly echoed through the hallway, announcing the presence of another being. Bo tore her gaze from the princess, looking past her now. “Tell me you’re lying.”
The princess unsheathed the knife at her side, holding it out to the fallen leader of Mandalore. Bo Katan lifted it into her hands, looking over the signet that was pressed in the blade.
Clan Mudhorn.
“Bo Katan Kryze, it is me. Din Djarin.”
Bo’s eyes shifted between the princess and Din Djarin, then to the knife. “That is certainly one way to become a Mandalorian. Did you send her in first because you knew I’d prefer speaking to her over you?”
“I did, actually.”
Bo Katan gave him a narrowed eyed glare before turning back to the princess. “Is it too late to tell you shouldn’t marry him?”
“I wouldn’t listen even if it wasn’t,” she replied simply, looking up at Din as he stopped behind her.
Bo Katan let out a heavy sigh, pinching the bridge of her nose. After several moments allowing her to process everything, she returned to her throne. Nothing she said would change what had been done, and truthfully, Din Djarin wasn’t the worst person the princess could have found herself married to. Though she was certainly curious as to how they had found themselves together –not that she would ask any time soon.
“What do you want?” Bo Katan finally asked as she sat back down, looking out the window once more.
“I need your help,” Din started, “I must bathe in the Living Waters of Mandalore to be redeemed. If you still intend to reclaim the planet –,”
“There are no intentions to reclaim Mandalore,” she interrupted, looking back at him with a deep frown. “I have no people. My fleet abandoned me when I lost the Darksaber.”
The princess looked between the two, brow furrowed. “What is the Darksaber?”
Bo glanced at her, frowning. “You haven’t told her?”
“Told me what?”
“By all intents and purposes, Din Djarin is the rightful ruler of Mandalore.”
There was a heavy silence that fell between the three of them. Din’s stance had tensed, and the princess was simply staring up at him with wide, confused eyes. Bo Katan found the scene entirely too entertaining, if she was honest with herself. She did not know Din Djarin especially well; their interactions had been brief and clipped, if anything. But she did know the princess well enough. And she knew that the princess was probably less than thrilled about finding out about the Darksaber through Bo instead of Din himself.
“And without the Darksaber,” Bo pressed on, cocking her head to the side in amusement. “No Mandalorian will follow me.”
“I do not want it,” Din argued, taking it off his belt and holding it out to Bo. “Take it.”
“That’s not how it works and you know that.”
“How does it work?” The princess all but demanded, looking between the two Mandalorians with a deep set frown on her face.
“It must be won through combat. I must beat him in order to possess it once more.”
“But I cannot just yield and hand it over, apparently.”
“So let me..let me understand this entirely,” the princess finally huffed, putting her hands on her head. Her sleeves slipped down over her arms, and Bo Katan caught a glimpse of a scar that traced up her forearm. The once ruler wondered, briefly, where such a scar had come from. The princess turned to Din now, pointing at him. “You have…one, broken your Creed because of me but did not tell me. Two, have a child who is Force sensitive but did not tell me. And three, are in possession of a weapon that makes you the ruler of a planet…but did not tell me.”
“In my defense –,”
“Din, you have none. There is no defense. You failed to tell me very important details –,”
“It sounds like this is a lover’s quarrel. I am going to have to ask you to take it anywhere but my home,” Bo Katan interrupted, looking between the two. “Please leave me alone. I am…not interested in being involved in any of this. Not anymore.”
The two stopped their bickering —well, the princess stopped her bickering —and turned to Bo, who was waving them out of her home. The footman droid started to usher them out, and finally, Bo Katan glanced up as the princess gave Din a weak shove and a dirty look, no doubt scolding him for withholding details from her.
*****
“I didn’t think it was relevant,” Din pointed out once they boarded the Crest once more.
She had stopped talking to him once they were out of Bo’s sight. Her arms crossed over her chest in defiance as she ignored his help onto the ship, her gaze anywhere but him.
Did he omit details? Yes, he did. But did he do it purposely? Not exactly. Truthfully, he hadn’t considered the consequences of not telling her he held the Darksaber. He didn’t want to think of them; he didn’t even want the weapon. It meant nothing to him or his people, therefore it didn’t need to be brought up.
And regarding Grogu —well, he simply assumed she knew. The kid often used his abilities to get what he wanted. Din just figured the child had used them in front of her before, and she was well educated. She had to know of the Jedi and the Force. There wasn’t a reason for him to assume otherwise.
Though, in hindsight, he should be telling his wife things. Even if they felt irrelevant.
“I’m sorry,” he finally said, sitting in the pilot’s seat.
Grogu climbed into her lap, reaching up to tug at the scarf that hung loosely around her neck. Even if she was frustrated with Din, she didn’t take it out on the kid; she smiled down at him, poking his belly gently to greet him. She had mentioned earlier that week, when the Armorer exiled him, that she didn’t like it when her parents argued in front of her. She refused to do so in front of Grogu.
“Did your dad forget to tell me that you’re a Jedi in training?” She teased, lifting Grogu into the air. Her gaze remained focused on the child instead of looking at Din. “And that he was technically king of an entire planet?”
He rolled his eyes, but couldn’t help the grin that was forming under his helmet. Even if she was frustrated with him –and she was; there was no doubt about that –she was trying to make light of it the best she could.
“He did,” she continued, still ignoring Din. “He did forget to tell me. Isn’t that just silly of him, Grogu?” The child giggled in her arms, babbling in response as if he was trying to talk back to her. “Exactly, little one. He should have told me –we’re already married, what am I going to do? Run away?”
Her teasing tone had flattened some, and she finally looked at Din as she rested Grogu back in her lap. The child cooed some, standing up to move into Din’s lap next.
“I should have told you,” he conceded, turning to take the child into his arms now. “I didn’t…I wasn’t thinking, truthfully. The Darksaber means nothing to my people, so it didn’t seem important enough to bring up. I am not the ruler of Mandalore and I do not want to be.”
“Then what do you want to be, Din?” She asked, pulling one of her legs into her chest, resting her chin on it.
“I just…I want to be a Mandalorian once more. I want to take care of my clan. That’s all I want and all I’ll ever want.”
She hummed a bit in response before pushing herself out of her seat to stand over him. Her hands rested on either side of his helmet, holding him in place as he looked up at her.
“You’ve already gotten half of that then,” she reassured, pressing her forehead against his gently. “Now we just need to get you to Mandalore to get the rest.”

Star Wars Pilots Tournament - Round 1B
Who's the better pilot?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Propaganda:
Din Djarin:
So everyone else in this is probably in for fancy showy flying. Which is fair and mando does plenty of that when he gets his N-1. But what I think is understated is that mando is also a pretty practical pilot. When he had the razor crest he mostly did long haul flying which i think should also be noted in this tournament. The main example being that (as far as i am aware) mando is the only person in star wars to have flown from one planet to another without using hyperspace.
Din Grogu:
grogu pulls up to peli's shop and makes a wonderful landing in the small landing area. he does this all by himself and does a very good job and peli isnt even able to tell that he isn't a new republic officer!!!! secondly, when grogu lands at bo-katan's palace thing, she thought he was mando, who is an absolutely excellent pilot!! you may notice that coincidentally there was an astromech droid in the ships in both of these scenes, but that was definitely a complete and total unrelated coincidence and they did not assist him in any way at all whatsoever he did it ALL by himself he's just that cool okay. he managed to make very nice landing without even being able to reach the steering wheel and without his feet being able to reach over the edge of the seat. he used his force powers obviously which is just another point in his favor like he's just so resourceful 🥰 in conclusion grogu learned his papa's Epic Flying Skillz and now is just as good a pilot as him.

I have endless thoughts about not-actually-puppet ruler Korkie and his network of escape routes for refugees. Given everything Satine did and went through herself, I can't imagine Korkie just rolling over for the Empire, but I can't imagine him being stupid about it, either.
Pacifists are often insanely dedicated to making things better for the people who need it, even if they can't or won't fight.
Satine relied on refugee escape routes as a teenager to survive.
The Jedi need help. So. So like. If Jedi are fleeing the Purge...
Korkie can easily, if subtly, hold up the actions of Ahsoka and Obi-Wan as We Owe Them.
Korkie has the wealth and influence to quietly have the clans and Houses give sanctuary to the odd Force Sensitive...
He can't say anything, not publicly. But people know by the look on his face and by the history of his family that he does not believe a word of the speech the Empire is having him give.
There's a delicious irony in Mandalorians being there to save Jedi when the chips are down. How many of the children that Quinlan helped ferry to safety in the Kenobi show ended up housed with Mandalorian clans, do you think?
And like. Obviously. Obviously. Due to Ahsoka and all her work. Korkie is in contact with his aunt Bo, who does her own part in ferrying FS younglings, because Friendship With Tano.
(I want Bo-Katan to continue her whole "I am definitely winning, shut up about the fact that I got my ass kicked, I am the BEST" energy while ferrying babies.)
Mandalorians can get away with "I have a small child on a heavily armed ship with heavily armed people"
"What are you planning to fight?" "Fuck you." "Yeah, that tracks."
"That child is four years old." "Perfect age to observe the hunt." "…why do I ever expect anything different from you people."
From @calika on discord:
jango fett's ghost that haunts mandalore frothing at the mouth as he watches the Young Duke ferry another baby jedi through his secret palace, tucking a completed Mandalorian birth certificate and adoption paperwork into their coat pocket, and into the arms of one of his staff's families
Bo Katan giving the lil kiddos the Grump Aunt roadtrip experience gives them those hardboiled sweets as rewards its a Strategy TM because if theyre stopped by imperial customs officers, the kiddos cant answer any questions because theyve got a mouthful of sticky mess
grizzled old mandalorian placing their helmet gently over the kid's head. way too big but very adorable they need some form of Protection also i know that canon is very sketchy about jedi-mandalorian conflict history etc. but i imagine that the mandalorians might still have some old jedi artefacts that were war trophies/from battlefields and that even though the Jedi Archives were destroyed, some parts of the jedi's history was preserved
she has three babs in a sling, front-back-and-side babs. whose the real winner huh? what do you have that makes YOU the winner huh? victory in battle, political power as asthmatic attack dog? pppfffsh i have chubby-cheeked toddlers and a million crayon drawings on my fridge armoury door
I bet she has baby sized leather armor Korkie pretends to believe her "I hate kids" act but all her deliveries are rosy-cheeked and cared for and not crying as hard as they could be about being separated from their families.
bo, deadpan: never make me do this again. kid holding her hand with a stuffed mythosaur in hand: uhm
"Bo, are you sure you don't just want to adopt a kid." "Shut."
something something cast of The Mandalorian find a random refugee Force Sensitive that lights up at seeing Bo-Katan and insistently calls her Auntie.
I know Mandalorians no longer control Mandalore by then but I need. I need Duke Korkarius* Kryze.

ABSOLUTELY UNWELL ABOUT THIS. This is Kalevala, this is House Kryze.  This is her family’s palace.  The one she left when she didn’t agree with her sister’s politics, the Duchess of Mandalore, Satine Kryze. But now Satine is dead, she’ll never walk those halls again.  Their parents are dead.  And the place is as empty as a tomb, only a lone droid keeping watch, who just lets Din pass by. Bo-Katan would have grown up in those halls, would have seen her parents on that throne, may even have seen her sister on that throne.  Now she’s here, lounging on it like she doesn’t have a care in the world, but everything about her screams of burning fury. She lashes out at Din, maybe there’s some truth that Mandalore were a fractured people, but it’s not Din’s fault, it’s not the Children of the Watch’s fault, it’s nobody but the Empire’s fault.  But she is consumed with her grief and her rage and her hurt, that she let every member of her family down, let her parents down, let her sister down, let her subjects down. Yes, they abandoned her, melted away, and she’s angry about that, but she’s angry that she failed them, too.  Yes, Din’s people weren’t there to help fight, but he’s just the one standing in front of her at this moment, prodding the aching bruises of her failure, so of course she lashes out at him. She’s surrounded herself with ghosts because that’s all she has left--and that place is full of ghosts and nothing else.  Not a single soul there besides the two of them and Bo-Katan could be anywhere in the galaxy, but she went home and sat amongst them, because every inch of that place, every secret room she knew as a child, every hallway, every window, would all be jagged edges cutting into her. “I wish I was good at something other than war.” “Your people need a new kind of leader.” “My sister tried that. I never understood her idealism.” Bo-Katan tried so damn hard to be a leader and it all crumbled to ash.  All she’s good at is war and death.

Season 3 finale better be Din waking up in Jabbas palace with a mega hangover. Stumbling into the main room where Boba is playing mischievous uncle to Grogu, and makes fun of Din getting a little to drunk during the Pyke defeat celebration.
Din mentions he had a nightmare, Boba asks what it was about as Grogu crawls into Dins arms to console his hungover dad and Din goes, "I think Bo Katan was there...?"
Boba just laughs, "Say no more." And the episode ends with them trash talking her while Din gently shows Grogu the Darksaber and explains its a weapon the mean lady wanted but now its theirs.
Bo Katan gets yeeted into space off screen and we never see her again roll credits.

Listen. You guys know how lately (mostly in an attempt to get back to writing and writing things that genuinely feel self indulgent and soothing) I’ve been writing for old posts I made on here a lot lately?
Yeah okay so often times my ideas evolve so don’t take this too intensely. But. AU where Obi-Wan left the order to be a ballerina with a professional troop when she was around 18. She’s been going to a mega fancy school on Coruscant that only gets the best dancers since she was 13 and was invited in after she became Qui-Gon’s Padawan. Just imagine Qui-Gon waiting for her to get out of class with other nannies and parents waiting for their kids that’s SO funny to me.
Now, the change happens that they knew there was unrest in the senate and Obi-Wan said ‘okay this is actually the perfect chance to get spying on the right people’ so her and her new troop (which slowly become battle partners over the years like Padme’s handmaidens) leave and search people out. She ‘cuts ties’ with the Jedi under the guise of leaving the order. She doesn’t actually but Qui-Gon (also female along with Anakin being a girl too) becomes her only contact other than Feemor (best big sister ever) because Obi-Wan puts up a front of leaving to pursue being a dancer, not leaving as a separation from the Jedi, and Qui-Gon legally adopted her to keep close to her. They see each other often and after she gets Ani she becomes baby sister af.
Anyways. Fast forward around 15 years later (at least maybe a few more) and the Empire has officially been installed for about 7 years now (Obi was right and that’s why the Jedi knew to get out of the republic before it fell, so they are safely ensconced on the edge of Mandalorian space) and Obi-Wan’s cover has been blown and she’s gotta get back to the Jedi’s official new temple. Unfortunately she gets separated from her troop along the way and is pretty fucking traumatized and beat to hell by the time she makes it to Keldabe, one of the places she was able to get closest to Jedi space.
Anyways. She gets there and Jango (not-so-young prince of Mandalore, father to like 17 kids by cloners by now, absolutely big brother af because Jaster adopted Satine and Bo-Katan -and Arla when they found her- after Adonai died) finds her in absolutely torn clothes and looking fairly lost in the universe. First of all, the fact that she managed to make it about 6 blocks away from the loading docks is impressive cause any Mando worth their armor would have seen her and tried to drag her off to the medics by now, but she’s very traumatized and keeps running off.
Jango manages to get a hold of her by simply siding up to her like nothings wrong and offering her arm and ‘would you like to see the palace, verd’e?’ And Obi-Wan is sorta shocked but not only Jedi training, but also her time as a high class dancer for imps (like I know Visions just put this basic plot out but I had it years ago so it’s more inspirational than copying okay) and royals for the past decade and a half, kicks in and she lets Jango drag her back home like a cat who keeps collecting kittens. He just finds girls and brings them home to drop on Jaster’s lap like ‘here I heard ur bitch ass got baby fever, take this’ and giving himself new baby sisters. He loves it.
A million sons and baby sisters in droves. That’s all he needs.
Anyways. They get back, Obi is subjected to very annoying medical attention, Jango is horrified at she wounds and such, but then they hit another wall. Obi won’t get into the new clothes they keep trying to give her!!! Plz ur dress is torn and you barely have a thin robe covering you!
They gently corral her into a room with four suits of pure Beskar armor sitting in each corner so it blocks out the sound, while Jango is ranting at Jaster and Arla about how to get her calmed down. She’s already stolen two blasters! Admittedly, she also has her own sabers, so the call to Qui-Gon (who she gave the comm number for and didn’t give a name, just said that’s Mama) sort of just confirmed that it wasn’t so much protection as a safety blanket layover from Melida|Daan that she gets when she starts to panic.
So Qui-Gon is coming out with a team to come get her and informed her troop where their wayward idiot has gotten off to, and Jango is now faced with a new concern. Where is the toddler??? His three year old baby boy Kote??? Where’s the baby??
So. Obviously. Cody wandered off to go see the pretty lady with sad eyes and nice hair. Jango finds him curled up in Obi-Wan’s lap while she rocks him a little, helping him with his preschool learners book. She’s very patient with him, and more relaxed than she’s been in months. Jango lights up like a lightbulb and runs off, getting Boba and Omega’s bassinet to bring into the room and politely asks Obi-Wan to watch over them. She happily does so, calming down and giving many gentle kisses.
She’s still ignoring the new clothes they keep trying to get on her.
Finally, Satine and Bo get home, and ask what’s up. Satine thinks the girl is very pretty and nice looking. Cody might have to fight her cause he saw her first and that’s his future wife! Satine also thinks the same.
Satine goes off to her room and pulls out the most SCANDALOUS outfit possible. A short tee shirt and waist high exercise shorts! What the fuck Satine, who said you could dress like that??? Satine has never rolled her eyes so hard as when she explains she wears the shorts on top of her tights while exercising cause they have pockets and stuff. Okay, that’s more okay. Mandos don’t just!!! Show skin like that!!!!
Obi-Wan is given the clothes, and then further scandalizes the whole fam by stripping down right then and there in front of everyone and god and the fucking Mandalore to put on the new clothes. She’s much happier and goes back to cuddling Omega, while Cody quietly (loudly) asks Jango where Obi’s peepee is. Amazing.
Anyways. By the time Qui-Gon gets there, she’s willing to give partial custody of her baby to the Mandos for getting her cleaned up and soothed and handing her babies (Qui-Gon always sorta thought her girl might have ended up a nursery worker if not a ballerina lol) and getting her comfy and stuff. They took very good care of her traumatized girl but now she’s panicking when she’s asked if Obi is always that quiet. No. She in fact, is not a quiet girl! Oh shit!
She finally calms down the most and starts talking again when her dance troop gets there to coddle her a little, her dance troop who all have weaponry and protective armor and the Mandos respect that much more than Obi’s scandalous little dresses and stuff. Offensive.
But. I wrote this entire post to say. Mandos don’t show much skin, if any. And Jedi, will easily strip down in front of crowds. Cause it means nothing to them tbh. And Cody is wondering where her peepee is.

Okay, Sith!Luke au sounds incredible!!! I haz questions
What's Din's whole perspective on things? Is he (like canon) blissfully unaware of who and what Luke is? Does he know and just not care? Is he just doing anything to protect Grogu, only to realize that the 'teacher' is very dangerous but has also imprinted on Din just as much as Din has fallen for him?
What about Grogu? Does he understand the darkness in Luke? Is he averse to it? Or does he go all in on the dark side to protect his dad?
OOOOHHH YES YES YES I'd LOVE to get into Din and Grogu stuff! (I'm realizing this will be another long one so there's your warning lol)
As for Din --
In my AU, after the Death Star blows up in 0 ABY, Luke begins to take personal undercover missions to continue undermining the Empire. To stay anonymous, he hires an untraceable mercenary that doesn't ask questions and is also not fond of the Empire - this is where Din Djarin comes in. (Din doesn't have a lot developed pre-Mando season 1 other than he's been bounty-hunting - and before that - taking mercenary jobs for a while, so why not utilize that for a story I want?) While working with Luke in this time period, Din has absolutely no idea who Luke is other than he carries a "red laser-sword" and doesn't show his face. He knows Luke as The Stranger, and for a few years takes jobs from Luke since he pays very well (that Empire money eh). Din is vaguely aware that his jobs have small impacts on the war against the Empire, so he is fine with complying, especially since they are relatively low-risk.
Things take a turn in 4 ABY when Luke hires Din to rescue Han Solo from Jabba's Palace. (one of the few pieces of fic I finished -- FREE SOLO) In this mission, Din sees Luke's face, learns his name (however doesn't recognize it from anywhere), and learns that he KNOWS specific people that a key to the rebellion (Lando, Han Solo, Leia, Chewbacca). The whole ordeal puts Din in more trouble than he bargains for. Luke declares an end to their business relationship because of this and cuts Din off, but it doesn't kill Din's festering curiosity as to who Luke is. He doesn't pursue further, but that curiosity lingers until they meet again.
Luke and Din meet again in a way that mirrors the end of Season 2 of Mando (because I thought it was a fun idea, and YES I have managed to write that out too -- SHADOW ON THE BRIDGE). This is where Din learns that Luke is not only a Sith, but the EMPEROR of the Neo Empire. I've been (ever so slowly) updating the fic of the aftermath of that, where Din meets with Luke again and where they begin to have those conversations of what will happen to Grogu.
In this next fic - First Steps into Darkness - I do want to explore how Din takes up the mantle of Mand'alor and how he uses his previous relationship with Luke to rebuild his world and also create an alliance to further push the Imperial Remnant threat out of the galaxy. Din deals with opinions about this from all sides, from Bo-Katan who has a difficult time trusting Luke, to Din's Clan that are between against and neutral on the matter. (Also keep in mind that I've been planning this part of the story before Mando S3 -- I do use some aspects of S3 but also very much divert from it).
What keeps Din coming back to Luke is ultimately his curiosity, both in Luke's abilities as a leader/negotiator and in him being this mysterious entity. Luke's fervor for his religion, his quest for familial answers, his internal battle of identity -- these are all things that Din relates to. (Luke's a bit more of a hot mess than Din is but -- you know, they have commonalities that they can lean on).
I also really like the concept of the Darksaber having its own sort of Force sentience to the point where Din has to work with it (it's a little like Haunted!Din but instead of outright possession it's more like -- Venom, or something like that, where they work together). Having Luke as a resource to navigate that territory further connects the two.
Needless to say, despite what rumors and warnings Din has been given, he doesn't understand why the "Dark Side" of the Force is considered the "bad" Force and why the "Light Side" is considered the "good". Perhaps it's because he's only really interacted with Luke, and perhaps it's because Mandalorians have a checkered history with getting along with "Light Side" Jedi users as well. His perspective could be biased or he probably just believes that Luke is not what others want to make him seem. Either way, the fact that Luke is a Sith doesn't necessarily make Din distrust him outright, especially since he's the only one that will agree to help hone Grogu's powers.
OKAY, ONTO GROGU -- YEAH THERE'S MORE --
Since's Luke's appearance in rescuing them from Gideon's Cruiser, Grogu is INTRIGUED with Luke and the pull to the Dark Side. In his little mind, Luke is powerful, really cool, and can make Gideon pee his pants -- of course he sees that and goes "ooh I wanna be like that guy".
First Steps into Darkness, while I mentioned will go into some of Din's story, will ultimately be a focus on Grogu (when I eventually finish it lol). I think child characters (especially cute bait like Grogu) often get the short end of the stick in terms of development, and it's SUCH a missed opportunity in my eyes. Children have very simple and blunt observations, and they SOAK up the world around them -- putting the mess of Sith Luke and through GROGU'S perspective is so fun to me.
Luke is not afraid of teaching Grogu, but he's afraid of Grogu idolizing him like HE did Vader. Despite Luke's attachment to his father, Vader was -- NOT really the best father, and deep down Luke knows that and is afraid. He keeps a distance from Grogu that Grogu is always trying to close. Grogu knows that Luke is just a teacher and that he's often not very personable with him. But Grogu sees how Luke's power has the ability to protect, he sees something in him like did with Din (who was also not very warm at first). Grogu believes that if he learns what Luke knows, he can too can become that protector that can stop wars and help those he cares about.
Grogu also continues to learn from Din about Mandalorian culture, so he isn't completely split between one or the other -- in fact, Luke encourages Din to keep sharing his roots with his son. The teachings of both Mandalorians and Sith are eventually the teachings that shape Grogu's perspective on loyalty, emotions, power, and so on. He's observant as hell, so he soaks everything up like a SPONGE.
And let's be honest, the Grogu realizing he could learn some tricks that maybe the Jedi forbade sounds a bit fun to him. He is still a kid after all.
Sorrynotsorry that was long -- I love talking about these concepts, and honestly answering these questions is helping me type out my thoughts to use as reference later. It's getting me fired up to keep writing and editing too.
Thank you again for the questions @just-prime -- I hope you found this interesting!!
