Went for a little walk between bouts of rain. It's been such a weird couple of weeks – I've had family emergencies during finals the last three semesters, and this time round it's felt like my brain has just broken. I should be working on a short film about the path you all so often see in my photos and making maps for my thesis, but it's been really difficult to get started (and stay focused) on schoolwork. The only times I've felt the panic recede have been out with my camera. I'm going to really try and buckle down today; it's meant to be wet all afternoon, so maybe that'll be the thing that gets me to sit in one place for long enough to get something done.
Yesterday the persimmon still had all its leaves, but the wind came through last night and stripped it nude. These fuyu are some of the biggest I've seen; I definitely covet that person's garden.
