Benefits of Glutathione Supplement
Glutathione is naturally produced by the liver. It consists of three amino acids cysteine, glutamate and glycine. Glutathione is found in every cell. It is the most powerful antioxidant as it rids the body of free radicals resulting from the metabolic function. Glutathione helps to repair damaged cells and also promoting cellular health. But pollution, poor diet, trauma, infections and radiation deplete our glutathione. Ultimately our liver get damaged and overloaded and troubles in detoxification process.
It is manufactured from three amino acids and they are cysteine, glutamine and glycine. Cysteine is rate limiting factor in our diet. The best thing about glutathione is that if there is deficiency of glutathione in your body then you can complete it by taking supplements which is easily available in the form of pill, liquid and injection. The other question about glutathione is that does it have any side effect or not? According to few researches it has not any side effects. But if you are thinking to take these supplements then firstly you should consult with your physician. It does not have any side effect so you can take this substance without any fear.

Benefits of Glutathione
Great antioxidant: Glutathione is powerful antioxidant. It is helpful to recharges other antioxidants. But our ability to produce glutathione decreases with age. Cells of our body are subjected to oxidative stress.
Youthful skin: Glutathione is helpful to obtain youthful skin as it lightens dark spots in the skin and diminishes the appearance of wrinkles. It is helpful for the protection of skin from the damaging effects of UV rays.
Fight against autoimmune diseases: Due to the autoimmune diseases chronic inflammation occurs. Chronic inflammation includes rheumatoid arthritis, celiac diseases. It helps to reduce oxidative stress by stimulating body’s immunological response. It protects the cells by eliminating free radicals.
Improves psoriasis
Glutathione is helpful to improve psoriasis with or without additional treatment.
Reduction in oxidative stress
This condition of oxidative stress occurs when there’s an imbalance between the production of free radicals and the body’s ability to fight them off. Glutathione helps to cut off the impact of oxidative stress because it is the cause of diabetes, cancer and RA.
Prevent cancer progression
Glutathione helps to prevent cancer progression. It is useful to kill cancer cells along with cancer making cells.
Decrease cell damage in liver disease
As we all know that use of alcohol, hepatitis and fatty liver disease all damage the cells of the liver. According to one study glutathione help to treat nonalcoholic fatty liver disease due to its antioxidant properties.
These all are the miraculous benefits of Glutathione. If someone is going through any of this problem then he/she can blindly take the glutathione supplements. To place order online for glutathione visit Lypo Extract website.

Glutathione is very important for the immunity of our body
For improving the immune system glutathione is the best substance. Glutathione is an antioxidant that is considered as a superhero of our body and present in all plants and animals. It protects the cells from getting any disease and also keeps the skin resilient and brighter. Vitamin C and D, alpha-lipoic acid, and coq10 are antioxidants and glutathione helps to increase their function. Cysteine, glycine, and glutamate ate three amino acids that made glutathione.
Tumblr media
Glutathione is very important for the immunity of our body. You can intake glutathione by eating many natural products and also liver produces glutathione within the body. Garlic, cabbage, cauliflowers, tomatoes, grapefruit, and many other fruits and vegetables contain glutathione. You can also found glutathione in eggs, yogurt, walnuts, and chicken. Many people don’t like vegetables and fruits and don’t intake glutathione but you have not to worry many companies are now supplying glutathione supplements. The best glutathione supplements that we recommend you is intravenously (IV). You can use glutathione supplements for increasing detoxification in your body and stop aging. The antioxidant that is produced for the protection and proper functioning of cells is known as liposomal glutathione. Glutathione benefits include the reduction of stress, reducing skin and brain diseases, and also improve insulin resistance. Glutathione helps to make the skin strong and bright and reduces wrinkles for looking young.

What Gut Type Are You? Discover the Truth!
You know your blood type, your body type and your skin type…but what about your gut type?
Most people are prone to one of the 5 main gut types—kind of like we are prone to being an endomorph, mesomorph or ectomorph or having oily, normal or dry skin.
The 6 Gut Types include:
Stressed Gut (anxiety, type a, driven, overthinking, thyroid/hormone imbalances, adrenal)
Immune Gut (leaky gut, allergies, skin problems, cancer)
Gastric Gut (acid reflux, Gerd, stomach bloating)
Dysbiotic Gut (yeast, SIBO, constipation)
Toxic Gut (liver, gallbladder)
Inflammed Gut (high cholesterol, high blood pressure, non-gut related symptoms)
Your “gut type” doesn’t necessarily mean you are stuck that way FOR LIFE. It simply is an awareness of your gut’s own predisposition when things are out of balance. Your Gut Type is a sign when things may not be 100% well underneath the hood.
Figure Out Your Gut Type
Type 1: Stressed Gut
Primary Symptoms: Anxiety, Insomnia, Hormone Imbalances, Constipation or Bloating
Personality & Emotional Profile: Type A or High Performing, Easily Anxious, Overthinking Things, Difficulty Sitting Still
Bad Habits: Overdoing the Coffee or Alcohol, Overtraining, Undersleeping; On phone/technology a lot (especially at night)
What It Means: If your stress hormones are constantly pumping, blood flow is diverted away from your gut, which impairs the growth of good bacteria and digestive enzyme production. Axe says those with this gut type often have adrenal fatigue, which causes sleep issues, decreased libido, and trouble focusing, among other symptoms.
Ways to Heal: Regular exercise; Phone/technology detox or limits; Supplements: Vitamin B-12, Zinc, Quality Probiotics, Adrenal Adaptogen
What to Avoid: Sugar, alcohol, coffee (more than 1 cup black drip/day), gluten & refined grains or packaged foods.
Type 2: Immune Gut
Primary Symptoms: Skin Problems, Autoimmune Conditions, Allergies, Low Immunity
Personality & Emotional Profile: Detail Oriented, Perfectionistic, Empath, Insecure, Easily Stressed
Bad Habits: Relying on medicines (Flonase, Benadryl, etc.), antibiotics or products to try to suppress symptoms
What It Means: Approximately 80% of your immune system is produced in your gut and your gut bacteria are responsible for “boosting” your immune function. Leaky gut and/or imbalanced gut bacteria (i.e. not enough good guys or too many “bad”) guys is a common underlying theme at play.
Ways to Heal: Autoimmune paleo or elimination diet to identify sensitivities; Bone Broth; Supplement: Quality soil-based probiotics, short chain fatty acids, liposomal curcumin & liposomal glutathione.
What to Avoid: Alcohol, sugar, nuts, eggs, nightshade spices (chili powder, paprika), conventional dairy, grains & gluten
Type 3: Gastric Gut
Primary Symptoms: Heartburn/GERD, Indigestion, Sense of Fullness After Meals, Bloating After Meals, Gas, Feel Hungry 1-2 Hours After Eating
Personality & Emotional Profile: Fiery, Passionate, Reactive
Bad Habits: Pop Antacids or Tums like candy, Inhale Food/Eat Fast or On the Go, Craving Carbs or Sweets
What It Means: Contrary to popular belief, indigestion and GERD or reflux are often signs of low stomach acid, low digestive enzymes and/or carbohydrate malabsorption, often associated with bacterial overgrowth—not high stomach acid.
Ways to Heal: Apple cider vinegar shots or hydrochloric acid (if not on a PPI) with meals; Supplement with digestive enzymes, soil-based probiotics and short chain fatty acids; Drink chicory tea or ginger tea; Chew your food really well and eat sitting down; Low FODMAP and/or low starch consumption (limit to 1-2 servings) while addressing the underlying root cause
What to Avoid: Processed foods, High starch consumption & grains, High FODMAPS, Industrial seed oils, Nightshades (chili powder, paprika, tomato sauce, eggplant, bell pepper)
Type 4: Dysbiotic Gut
Primary Symptoms: Constipation &/or Bloating, Loose or Hard Stools, Sense of Fullness After Meals, Noticeable Food Intolerances/Sensitivities, Foul or Frequent Gas, Food Cravings (sugar or same foods—low variety); Cruciferous Veggies Hard to Digest
Personality & Emotional Profile: Anxious, Obsessive, Easily Worried, Analytical
Bad Habits: Eating the Same Things, Low Water Intake,
What It Means: Imbalance of gut bacteria (either too much pathogenic bacteria or not enough good bacteria) and/or yeast overgrowth (like Candida)
Ways to Heal: Eat hydrating easy-to-digest foods (soups, stews, shredded meats, cooked veggies); Drink plenty of water; Chew your food really well; Small servings of fermented foods as tolerated; Quality probiotics, prebiotics and short-chain fatty acids; Consider anti-microbial herbs (like oregano oil) and digestive enzymes to ease symptoms; Ginger or Smooth Move Tea
What to Avoid: Sugar, High FODMAPS, Dry Foods (Nuts, Bars, Processed Foods)
Type 5: Toxic Gut
Primary Symptoms: Pain Under Right Rib Cage, Fatty Foods Cause Distress, Fatigue (despite sleeping); Skin Problems (Acne, Dry or Flaky Skin); Brittle Nails or Hair; Lower Bowel Gas Several Hours after Eating
Personality & Emotional Profile: Inpatient, Impulsive, Questioner & Skeptic
Bad Habits: Eating or Craving Processed or Fast Foods; Not Eating Enough Healthy Fats & Fiber; Using toxic cooking, cleaning or hygiene products; Overdoing the coffee or alcohol
What It Means: Liver and/or gallbladder inflammation may at play. Low
Ways to Heal: Eat Lots of dark leafy greens, lemon & liver loving foods (beets, organ meats, pickled and fermented veggies); Digestive enzymes and bile acids (ox bile or Beta TCP), Drink dandelion or milk thistle tea; Get more sleep; Meditate
What to Avoid: Greasy, fatty processed foods; Extremes (super low fat, Standard American diets or super low carb diets); Conventional meats and dairy; Grains and gluten
Type 6: Inflammed Gut
Primary Symptoms: Often Non-Gut Symptom Related (High Cholesterol, Thyroid Imbalances, Brain Fog, Blood Sugar Imbalances, High Blood Pressure, Difficulty Losing Weight or Building Muscle, Sweat Easily)
Personality & Emotional Profile: Not always connected to how they feel (physically or emotionally), Stubborn, Independent
Bad Habits: Eating fast, Eating Anything, Sometimes forgetting to take breaks/Relax, Eating sweets or one too many coffees, Skipping meals
What It Means: Inflammation in the gut can extend to body regions beyond just the gut. Since your gut is responsible for fighting the stress response and inflammation, when inflammation is high inside, it suppresses your body’s ability to fight and can also trigger a release of circulating Lipopolysaccharides (LPS) from gut bacteria into your bloodstream— endotoxins that “switch” for systemic inflammation.
Ways to Heal: Eat lots of anti-inflammatory foods (dark leafy greens, berries, turmeric, lemon ginger, pickled and fermented veggies, bone broth, celery juice, wild caught salmon); Apple cider vinegar shots; Supplement with Extra Virgin Cod Liver Oil, Liposomal Curcumin and Short Chain Fatty Acids;  Drink ginger or green tea; Get enough sleep and vary your exercise
What to Avoid: Gluten, Processed foods, Industrial seed oils (canola, grapeseed, vegetable) especially out at restaurants and takeout.
Digging Deeper
Knowing your gut type can help you better take your health into your own hands—no matter what comes your way! However, if you’re interested in digging deeper, or figuring out the best supplements, foods and lifestyle game changers for you, consider booking a consult with functional medicine practitioner.

(Firstly, I don´t speak english. I’m from Spain)
Has anyone found any effective treatment for this? I have tried everything and nothing works. Psychological therapy does not work for me. There must be a great chemical imbalance in my brain. I have tried antidepressants (calm my obsessions but not my emotions or my dissociation), antipsychotics (risperidone, made me tired), all vitamins, minerals, ayurvedic plants (ashwagandha, ginseng, etc.), cholinergic (DMAE, Alpha GPC, Huperzine A ), noopept, anxiolytics (phenibut, picamilon, l-theanine), stimulants (adrafinil, theacrine, methylphenidate), serotonergic substances (5-htp, saffron safranal, st johns wort, inositol), antioxidants (NAC, liposomal glutathione, silymarin, etc.) I have also tried many other supplements such as SAM-e, omega-3, nsi-189, kratom, tianeptine, uridine, CBD, and many others that I can not remember now.
Have any of these supplements worked? No, none have cured my problems. BUT there are supplements that can help. (I think they have not helped me because in addition to having MDD I can also be BPD and asperger).
Inositol is the key: 15-18 g per day and obsessions DISAPPEAR. However, it made me feel a little weird, sad, and did not solve the other problems.
Omega 3 in large doses made me feel a little better emotionally, but it did not cure anything. Saffron safranal worked well for the mood and obsessions with people, but it made me feel spaced out and dizzy. DAME worked great for a few days, it was very good to stop my stereotypical disorder a bit, and it made me more focused. But it made me manic, it gave me insomnia and it made me feel very sad. Resveratrol and agmatine worked very well the day I took them, healing my dissociation, but they stopped working.
I started taking low doses of red kratom less than a month ago, and I think that its opioid effect works very well for BPD and depression, it makes me feel good when I want to kill myself. But kratom does not work for MDD. In the month of July I started taking Tianeptine, and the first days were very good. Tianeptine works slightly for dissociation, but the best effect I got was that I was able to talk more with people without embarrassment. But Tianeptine does not work for MDD, it does not cure dissociation, it stops working and it can be addictive.
I do not want to stretch anymore. In conclusion: The only thing that has worked for my MDD has been Inositol, but it does not do anything for my other symptoms and it gives me side effects.
I wanted to share this little experience to help all the people who read it. I have tried many things and I know what works and what does not work. I can explain my experience with supplements in more detail and can more about my mental problems. I have to say that I believe that my MDD is caused by the evasion of reality (traumas that I did not accept), but I also believe that it is something that I was born with.
Thank you very much for reading. I would like very much other people to share their experiences, especially to be able to find an effective treatment, some substance or drug to cure MDD.

appointment with Dr. Davis
July 13
I saw Dr. Davis (functional/integrative medicine doctor) on Friday the Thirteenth to go over the results from my celiac screen test and my mycotoxin urine test.
Tumblr media
The celiac screen showed weak sensitivity to gluten, which may be because I hadn't eaten any gluten for 4 months when I had the test done (I've been very strict, avoiding even cross contamination as much as possible). It's possible if I had had more gluten exposure prior to the test, it would have showed more of an issue. It's also possible that I only have a mild gluten intolerance. Anything is possible.
Tumblr media
Dr. Davis agreed to let me try reintroducing gluten by eating a meal with a lot of gluten to gauge my body's reaction. If it goes well, I may get to include small, occasional amounts of gluten in my diet (hello, soy sauce).
Tumblr media
The mycotoxin test revealed that I do have some mycotoxins in my body: aflatoxin and ochratoxin. Not a devastatingly high amount, but apparently enough that if I had a genetic susceptibility, it could be causing real problems.
Dr. Davis says he doesn't have a way to test for that genetic susceptibility, so the best way to find out if the mycotoxins are an issue is to try to get rid of them.
He's recommending supplements (N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine and liposomal glutathione), weekly IV glutathione, and thrice-weekly infrared sauna sessions.
This is expensive. 💲💲💲
To do this recommended treatment would cost me $500 per month until I either get better or Dr. Davis is satisfied that the mycotoxin issue isn't the root of my problems. "It could take some time," he said. I've already been spending over $500 out of pocket every month since March on tests and other healthcare expenses, and we're trying to save to get to Mayo. Since I'm not able to work, we're living on a single income, and it's looking like this might be a bit too pricey for us right now, especially if Mayo Clinic really is in my future.
Tumblr media
I'll be in contact with Dr. Davis soon about this issue, and we'll see what happens next.
It's stressful trying to wade through these choices...
But it'll get sorted.
Tumblr media
For now, bye bye ~~

Is Liposomal Glutathione Good For The Liver?
Tumblr media
Glutathione is a powerful antioxidant produced in cells. It’s composed of three amino acids: glutamine, glycine and cysteine. Stress, lack of nutrition and environmental factors may reduce glutathione levels in your body.
Glutathione enhances the optimum liver functioning. Liposomal Glutathione shows amazing results in crucial liver disease as it shows higher absorption. Liver is the most important organ in our body. It helps remove toxins from our body and plays a vital role in the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and proteins. It is also important for bile production and cholesterol processing. So, there is no doubt that to live a healthy life we should take good care of our liver. Glutathione helps guard our liver and function better.
Cell death in the liver may lead to fatty liver disease in both those who consume alcohol and those who don’t. A study has been shown that glutathione showed amazing results when given to people with fatty liver disease intravenously, in high doses.
At Asterveda Healthcare we promise to deliver the best liposomal glutathione supplement in India.

8 Key Vitamins for Beautiful Skin and Optimal Health
Tumblr media
There are many vitamins your skin and your body need to be healthy and vibrant. In this article I will focus on 8 key nutrients.
Your skin is a reflection of your overall health and well-being.
The vitamins and nutrients that will help your skin look it’s best also make the rest of your body work its best. What’s good for the skin is good for the rest of the body and vice versa. If your skin is showing signs of aging, this is more than an issue of personal vanity. External aging and internal aging are intimately related. Poor skin can be a sign of poor health.
So today I want to talk a bit about the intimate relationship between your skin and the rest of the body. Along the way we will cover some steps you can take to turn back the hands of time, reverse the effects of aging, and get that younger, tighter, glowing skin you’ve always dreamed of.
Skin Science 101
Your skin is one of the largest and most important organs in your body. Unfortunately, most of us simply don’t give our skin the support it needs so it can function at its best.
You see, the cells in the outer layer of your skin—the epidermis—divide continuously, which means they need a lot of nutritional support. The deeper layers—the dermis—are made up of the collagen and elastin proteins, which also need plenty of support and are often undernourished by the standard American diet and lifestyle.
Skin aging is a complex biological phenomenon that consists of two independent and biologically distinct processes: intrinsic aging and extrinsic aging.1
Intrinsic aging, as its name suggests, comes from within. It is the type of damage that affects any cell in the body. One of the primary causes are free radicals which cause oxidation (rusting) of cell membranes, DNA, and so on. To combat this type of oxidative damage, it is recommended you eat a plant-based diet rich in natural antioxidants. And, as so many of us are depleted of these natural antioxidants, supplementation can help as well.
Extrinsic aging is aging from without and refers primarily to “photo-aging”: the result of exposure to outdoor elements such as ultraviolet (UV) irradiation. Photo-aged skin often shows up as the classical age-related changes we all think of: deep wrinkles, sallow discoloration, and irregular pigmentation.
Photo-aging occurs because UV light from the sun is divided into UV-A and UV-B. UV-A damages the deeper layers of the skin while UV-B causes sunburns on the outer layers. Collagen in the deeper layers of the skin can also be damaged by enzymes called “metallo-proteinases” which are turned on by UV sunlight. Oxidation plays an important role in the way that UV light damages the skin, doubling your need for the crucial antioxidants that reverse this process.
Topical agents typically focus on antioxidant support to reduce the damage from sun and elements. This can help mitigate extrinsic aging. But having an antioxidant rich diet and supplementing properly takes this all a very big step further. Taking these additional steps can help both intrinsic and extrinsic” aging, giving you more bang for your buck.
So to get the most out of your anti-aging program, here is what I recommend:
Consume large amounts of richly-colored vegetables as close as possible to their original uncooked raw form. Richly-colored plants contain phytochemicals of which many are potent anti-oxidants.
Use sunscreen. This helps protect your skin from the effects of UV light.
Don’t smoke.
Consume moderate amounts of alcohol.
Supplement
When it comes to supplementation a great way to kick start your program is to try and IV infusion designed enhance collagen synthesis and protect your skin, like the Skin and Collagen IV Treatment at our clinic in Newport Beach, CA. It also provides your body a fast replacement of the nutrients your skin needs. This helps stop and reverse the aging process. Once your base levels of these nutrients are remediated, you can maintain them with oral Liposomal Vitamin C, Liposomal Glutathione and other supplements discussed in this post (see below).
There are a few key nutrients that play a crucial role in skin health. You should consider the following as you are creating a supplement plan for your skin and your overall health.
8 Key Skin Nutrients:
1. Vitamin A (retinol—the active form of Vitamin A)…
Vitamin A is required for maintaining many essential physiological processes in the body including normal growth and development, normal vision, a healthy immune system, normal reproduction, and healthy skin and barrier functions. In excess of 500 genes are thought to be regulated by retinol.
Vitamin A is beneficial in the treatment of acne, “liver spots”, wrinkles and rough skin. One study showed that 0.4% retinol applied topically had promising anti-aging benefits (2)
UV light depletes the skin of Vitamin A. So it’s clear why this vitamin is part of anti-aging and skin improvement formulas.
It’s always a good idea to test your levels of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants before you begin treatment. If you are low in Vitamin A, a good way to get your retinol levels up quickly is to take 500,000 units per day orally for 3 days, 250,000 units for the next 3 days, 125,000 units for the next 3 days and then maintain on 60,000 units. You also should continue to test your Vitamin A levels periodically as this is a fat soluble vitamin and can accumulate to toxic levels. AVOID VITAMIN A THERAPY COMPLETELY IF YOU ARE PREGNANT
2. Niacinamide (B3 also called nicotinamide):
Niacinamide helps with moisture retention in the skin. Topically, applied niacinamide (also known as nicotinamide) 2-4% is also an effective skin whitener. Nicotinamide, an amide form of vitamin B3, boosts cellular energy and regulates poly-ADP-ribose-polymerase 1, an enzyme with important roles in DNA repair and the expression of inflammatory cytokines (3)
Nicotinamide shows promise for the treatment of a wide range of dermatological conditions, including autoimmune blistering disorders, acne, rosacea, aging skin and atopic dermatitis.
In particular, recent studies have also shown it to be a potential agent for reducing actinic keratoses and preventing skin cancers (4). Oral nicotinamide was also found to be safe and effective in reducing the rates of new non-melanoma skin cancers and actinic keratoses in high-risk patients.
3. Dexpanthenol (B5)
Like Niacinamide, Vitamin B5 is also important in maintaining tissue hydration. It reduces cholesterol levels and inflammation as well through the production of Acetyl CoA. B5 also regulates keratinocyte proliferation.
In a study, topical B5 5% ointment was as effective as 1% hydrocortisone treatment in mild to moderate atopic dermatitis (eczema) (5). Also, giving B5 orally may help decrease facial acne as shown in a study of 48 patients (6).
There is no known upper limit known for B5 supplementation, and there are lots of protocols online of high dose B5 to treat acne. For example, 5-10 grams per day has been shown to decrease acne as per Dr. Leung’s protocol, but this is not a published study by any means. Some are reporting it as effective as the commercial drug Accutane but without the major side effects.
However, one possible side effect of high dose B5 to be aware of is that stool will turn green (from bile dumping), and this may be accompanied by abdominal pain and bloating. An alternative protocol to the very high dose B5 is to use a smaller dose of B5 and combine it with L-carnitine. This may be particularly effective in treating oily skin problems as B5 decreases the accumulation of fat/oil in the skin and L-carnitine helps shuttle the fatty acids into the mitochondria to be used as energy.
In IV form B5 can be used in high doses of 500-1000 mg per IV once or twice per week. B5 is already one of the main ingredients in many of the treatments in our IV Vitamin Therapy Clinic and we often customize and individualize each IV infusion to the particular needs of our patient. WE can add a high dose of Vitamin B5 for example to almost any of the existing treatments if in fact we feel it is necessary.
4. Vitamin C
Vitamin C, also known as Ascorbic Acid, is a very important antioxidant known to reduce the photo-aging because it protects against UV light damage. It also plays an integral role in collagen production.
Topical Vitamin C:
• Reduces wrinkling in as little as 2 weeks
• Decreases the activity of melanocytes, which means it is an effective treatment in de-pigmentation of the skin,
• Decreases skin roughness
• Is effective only if the topical cream has a pH below 3.5 and only the L-ascorbic acid form is effective so make sure to check the ingredients.
• Is available in concentrations of 3-10%. However, many get the maximum benefit from 20% concentrations.
• Rarely can cause rash and can be applied every 8 hours. It’s half-life is 4 days.
• Is safe to use with other agents like glycolic acid, sunscreen etc.
Increased intake of oral Vitamin C is associated with decreased skin dryness. When taking oral Ascorbic Acid I recommend using Liposomal Vitamin C which is a vitamin encapsulation technology allowing up to 90% absorption.
IV infusions with Vitamin C are very easy to tolerate and have the added effect of increasing overall energy and vitality.
5. Minerals
Minerals are important in skin formation and protection. Mineral oxides (such as Zinc Oxide) absorb UV light and protect the deeper levels of skin from damage. Of the essential minerals, selenium and zinc have been studied most extensively when it comes to their impact on skin. Both appear to be important in protecting the skin from photo-aging and free radical damage (8).
Zinc stabilizes cell membranes and is important in cell division. This can help in wound healing. Zinc oxide and Zinc titanium are commonly found in sunscreens.
Selenium plays an important part in antioxidant proteins like glutathione peroxidase (PHGPx) and Thioredoxin Reductase (TDR) which protect skin cells from free radicals. Selenium is also key in recycling the master anti-oxidant glutathione. Selenium is present in many dandruff shampoo formulations as well.
6. Amino Acids
The amino acids L-lysine and L-proline are an integral part of collagen molecule and collagen forms the base layer of skin. However other branched chain amino acids (BCAA’s) and L-Glutamine may also play a role in collagen formation. UV Light exposure decreases the formation of new collagen and needs to be counteracted. Supplementing with key amino acids may help reverse this process. In one animal study (9) BCAA’s, L-Glutamine and proline administered orally were able to increase collagen synthesis which was initially decreased by using UV light exposure.
7. Glutathione
Glutathione is a major antioxidant in the body and plays a critical role in Phase II detoxification pathways in the body. This means it inactivates toxic molecules like heavy metals and makes them more water soluble, so that the kidneys can then flush them out.
Glutathione also has a reputation for skin whitening (10). Importantly, it inhibits melanin formation (melanin is the pigment in skin) by suppressing the activity of an enzyme called tyrosinase.
A 2012 double-blind study of 60 participants taking 500 mg reduced glutathione for 4 weeks saw reduced melanin production at 6 different skin sites (11). In another double-blind placebo controlled study in 2014, 30 participants used 2% oxidized (inactive) topical glutathione for 10 weeks and achieved a significantly lower melanin index (whitening) (12) To be fair however, two 2016 studies dispute the effect glutathione has on inhibiting melanin.(13,14)
While there are no current studies on the effect of IV Glutathione treatments for skin whitening, we do know that glutathione has a protective effect on skin through its antioxidant effect and it is considered safe even in very large doses—much higher than the typical 600-1000 mg IV doses used in IV clinics throughout the world including our clinic, IV for Life, in Newport Beach, CA.
Many patients report an evening out of their complexion, better skin tone and moisture after IV Glutathione treatments.
When taking glutathione orally I recommend only using Liposomal Glutathione, as plain glutathione has very poor absorption due to destruction by bile and stomach acid.
8. CoQ10
Coenzyme Q 10 (CoQ10) may have positive effects on photo-aging, wrinkles, skin spots, dryness and tumors. This is because it is a powerful antioxidant which neutralizes the free radicals induced by UV light which are thought to be a major factor that initiate the up-regulation of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs). MMP’s are enzymes present in fluctuating levels in keratinocytes and fibroblasts in the deeper levels of skin.
MMP’s damage the collagen structure of skin and degrade it causing a wrinkled, aged look. A 2008 study of topically applied 1% CoQ10 cream found that the subjects had a significant reduction of wrinkles, and it is thought that this was caused by CoQ10’s antioxidant action. In addition CoQ10 inhibits MMP production, protecting dermal fiber components from degradation, leading to rejuvenation of wrinkled skin (15).
CoQ10 is easily absorbed by mouth and can be very helpful in energy production. It is depleted by “statins” which are popular prescription medications used to lower cholesterol and should definitely be used in conjunction with these medications. CoQ10 is also available as a intramuscular (IM) shot or as an IV infusion at our clinic IV for Life.
By eating well, and taking the right supplements (along with the other lifestyle tips noted above), you can get that glowing, beautiful skin you have always wanted, reverse the signs of aging and enhance your overall health at the same time.

Buy Online R- Alpha Lipoic Acid
Alpha Lipoic Acid skin items aren't a staple of each magnificence schedule. This Universal Antioxidant doesn't have Vitamin C status in the magnificence passageways. Before long you'll be seeing green (in respect to the verdant greens in which Alpha Lipoic Acid normally happens) in the skincare segment. Dermatologists like Dr. Nicholas Perricone have been reading the supplement for quite a long time, coming full circle in the arrival of topical Alpha Lipoic Acid serums. It is anything but a craze or a marvel fixing. Alpha Lipoic Acid healthy skin advantages are genuine, science-supported, and complex. To buy online R-Alpha Lipoic Acid you will get many websites.
Alpha Lipoic Acid is ground-breaking cell reinforcement
"What I believe is interesting is its capacity to help relieve atrophic changes in the skin, for example, creepy or dainty skin," says Jennifer Mills, an esthetician in New Orleans who uses Alpha Lipoic Acid skin items and prescribes them to her customers. She began taking the item for circulatory strain support; however then saw the impacts on her skin the vast majority of which come from its cancer prevention agent capacities.
The advantages of cancer prevention agents are in invalidating the harm of free radicals, which have been embroiled in rashly maturing skin. Along these lines, it's basic to comprehend the free extreme hypothesis of maturing. Pubmed is loaded up with logical language, however here's an increasingly available clarification. Think about a free extreme like a zombie, however rather than minds it's insatiable for electrons.
It goes this way. You're a solid cell, loaded with electrons, protons, and neutrons. You're tending to your very own concerns, carrying out your responsibility to keep this general public of a body working. At that point this precarious, hungry atom appears, missing an electron like a zombie is feeling the loss of a working hippocampus. It needs your electron.
So it does what any zombie does and assaults you to take it, and when you lose that electron, you become precisely like the free radical. You join the crowd. You assault different cells and take their electrons, until there's an apoptosis pestilence and the body turns into the site of a free extreme zombie end of the world.
In the skin, free radicals can harm collagen, prompting untimely loss of versatility. They can cause hyper pigmentation and undesirable textural changes. You know zombie skin. Furthermore, they originate from all over: sustenance, liquor, contaminants noticeable all around (like tobacco smoke), and even the sun.
Things being what they are, how would you stop the eager for electron crowd from assuming control over your body? Fortunately, nature has a superior answer than any of the researchers in any zombie end of the world film: Antioxidants. These atoms have an additional electron that they give to the free radical before it can destabilize solid cells. Presently, if there was just a race of people brought into the world with two minds, one of which they could give to satisfy the zombie.
Alpha Lipoic Acid is such an incredible cell reinforcement since it is both water-and fat-solvent, so it battles free radicals in pretty much every tissue in the body. It can likewise energize different cell reinforcements — like healthy skin staples Vitamin C and Glutathione — after they've given their additional electrons. Alpha Lipoic Acid healthy skin items advantage you by alleviating the falling harm brought about by free radicals in the skin.
"ALA shields polyunsaturated fats from free extreme harm, avoiding oxidized fats, lipid peroxides, from framing," says Mills, LE, and A.A. Kinfolk. "Tobacco smoke for example, causes degenerative consequences for the skin. Alpha Lipoic Acid can alleviate those wounds through cancer prevention agent pathways. On the off chance that these progressions can happen with harmed skin, think about the progressions that can happen in a sound epidermis when Alpha Lipoic Acid is utilized as a prophylactic."
In the epidermis, the external layer of the skin, free radicals can aggregate from presentation to daylight. In a recent report, dermatologist Nicholas Perricone, MD, found that topical Alpha Lipoic Acid skin cream helped the presence of sun-harmed skin. Wrinkles and loss of skin solidness begins in the dermis, the center layer of the skin since that is the place the collagen is. What's without more radicals aren't the main risk to this significant auxiliary protein.
Alpha Lipoic Acid averts AGE development
AGEs are Advanced Glycation End Products that development in the skin as a side-effect of sugar digestion. Since we have an entire article about their consequences for the skin, we won't dive into a great deal of detail here. Simply realize that when the happen in the skin, they move generally in the dermis where they solidify collagen filaments and bargain their capacity to recover. This prompts wrinkled, listing skin. Gracious, and AGEs additionally slaughter the cells that that produce collagen.
Before anybody pondered Alpha Lipoic Acid healthy skin benefits, the supplement was principally used to help sound glucose digestion and insulin affectability. It likewise represses Glycation and the arrangement of AGEs.
Alpha Lipoic Acid advances glutathione generation
In the event that you've investigated skin lighting up, you think about "the ace cancer prevention agent" Glutathione. It very well may be successful when connected topically to the skin, however then you pass up all the supplement's advantages to the liver, the muscles, and extremely all aspects of the body. It's additionally a famously troublesome supplement to get from eating routine or supplement, which we clarify in detail in another article. Various examinations affirm that Alpha Lipoic Acid incites cells to create more glutathione, so enhancing with Alpha Lipoic Acid can enable you to understand the advantages of the two supplements.
Topical or ingestible Alpha Lipoic Acid skin items?
Both! Topical creams and serums are incredible for tending to skin tinge as they dependably enter the external epidermis. Immovability, then again, depends on sufficient collagen which is packed essentially in the dermis, the center layer of the skin. Topical supplements regularly don't enter the dermis.
The most dependable path for a supplement to arrive at the dermis is through the circulatory system. In this way, in case you're progressively worried about relieving free extreme harm in the dermis or restraining AGEs in collagen, an oral Alpha Lipoic Acid enhancement is the best approach. It's additionally the best way to get the various advantages of Alpha Lipoic Acid that run further than the skin, however contribute altogether to by and large wellbeing that is constantly obvious outwardly.
This issue with Alpha Lipoic Acid enhancements however is exactly what makes it such ground-breaking cell reinforcement: it's both pulled in to and repulsed by water. That makes it powerless to quick discharge from the body.
When you take standard oral Alpha Lipoic Acid enhancements, assimilation is fast yet deficient. Its half-life in plasma is a negligible 30 minutes. Fundamentally, some of it is consumed, however a great part of the supplement is discharged before it can get to the cells. Analysts state that Alpha Lipoic Acid seems to utilize a Na+ - subordinate multivitamin transporter to go from the blood plasma into tissues. These transporters are in constrained supply, so if an ALA atom can't get a brisk lift, it's reasonable bound for discharge.
Our Lypo-Spheric® Alpha Lipoic Acid is exemplified in liposomes that transport the supplement from the stomach related framework, through the intestinal divider and into the circulation system and the cells without depending on rare multivitamin transporters. The phospholipids that make up the liposomes are a similar material that establishes your cell layer, so the liposome can slip into the cell. That fat-based creation keeps the Alpha Lipoic Acid atoms unblemished through the fluid locales of the body since you recognize what happens when you attempt to blend oil and water. You can also prefer Lypo Extract website to buy online R-Alpha Lipoic Acid. It is well known for quality services.

Glutathione can play a significant role in protecting human body
Detoxification or detoxication is the physiological or medicinal removal of toxic substances from a living organism, including the human body, which is mainly carried out by the liver. Glutathione is necessary for the detoxification of your body and study has proven that the abundance of glutathione in the body can help predict the life expectancy of that particular human being. It is so because one of the major tasks that glutathione accomplishes is that it reduces oxidative stress and protects your cells from it. Cells free of oxidative stress have a much longer life than cells under oxidative stress. It is a natural phenomenon observed commonly and among all the cells in the body. Glutathione can also play a significant role in protecting the human body from xenobiotics and foreign substances like pollutants, carcinogens, and drugs. This boosts your overall immunity against all sorts of diseases and will advance you towards a healthier lifestyle.

My Must-Have Travel Supplements
It’s hardly a secret that traveling can be rough on our bodies. Digestion issues, dehydration, and atypical sleeping circumstances… all of it can really add up! I’ve totally been there. Over time, though, I’ve worked out a travel supplement routine that makes traveling easier so I can actually enjoy it. With some help from my partners at Pure Encapsulations®, I’m thrilled to share it with you today!
My Must-Have Travel Supplements
If you’ve been following me for a while now, you already know that I don’t usually share my daily supplement routine. I make a random exception here and there (always for Pure Encapsulations®supplements!), but I tend to keep it on the DL. Here’s why: Giving you the details of my personal regimen would be doing a disservice to you, and I truthfully feel it might even be a little irresponsible on my part. Supplements are not one-size-fits-all! They should be used as needed based on what your body specifically needs at the time.
With that in mind, traveling is a beast, and I want to clue you in on how you can make it a little easier. Being on the go affects most people, and some (including me!) more than others. My MTHFR gene mutation and less-than-stellar detox system made travel difficult for me for years. Without fail, I’d get awful headaches, I’d be dehydrated and swollen — no matter how much water I drank — and my digestion would be off for days. I knew I needed to figure out a supplement routine to help with travel. I wanted energy, to be ready to go, and to feel my best. Who doesn’t, especially when they’re supposed to be having fun on vacation or trying to be on their toes for a work trip? I firmly believe that the system I’ve developed can truly help anyone, so I’m breaking my usual rules around opening up about supplements to share it with you.
I’ve partnered with my long-time favorite supplement company Pure Encapsulations® to bring you this post today, because you need to really know the supplement companies you are relying on. It’s important to understand their standards and quality. Personally, I don’t recommend going to your local drugstore and grabbing just anysupplement brand. If you’ve ever tried doing this yourself, you know how overwhelming it is… and the supplement industry is honestly saturated with products that don’t meet certain standards.
Enter Pure Encapsulations®. I’ve used their supplements for years and I trust what they are doing, so when we decided to work together on this post I was THRILLED. Pure Encapsulations®partners with healthcare professionals to create the best products out there. They use the highest quality raw ingredients, hold themselves to rigorous testing and manufacturing standards, are free from common allergens and contaminants, and they’re non-GMO. I also love the fact that they’re local, based right here in Massachusetts! The list of positives goes on and on.
Pure Encapsulations®professional supplements are available for purchase through healthcare practitioners and independent pharmacies. If you are looking for a practitioner or pharmacy near you who carries Pure Encapsulations products, head over to their website and use their helpful Practitioner Locator Tool here.
So grab a trusty pill organizer, and let’s go pack our supplements!
My 7 Essential Supplements for Travel
Food Recovery
Traveling is often a time when we’re having fun, trying new foods, eating differently than normal, and just living our best lives… but that can be tough on your system. I always keep enzymes or charcoal on hand in case I eat something that bothers my stomach. Your travel buddies will thank you for having these available if they end up with tummy troubles, too.‡
I bring: Digestive Enzymes or Activated Charcoal
Digestion
It’s well known and documented that travel can throw off your digestion. Ever go somewhere and not go to the bathroom for a few days? It happens. When we’re out of our usual routine and in a new place, we can throw our body off its normal rhythm.
I bring: Magnesium Citrate and a shelf-stable, non-refrigerated probiotic for travel (supports gut health and immune function)‡
Sleep:
Many people have a hard time sleeping away from their own cozy beds. I tend to struggle with this on the first night of any trip. Magnesium plays an important role in mood and calming, so I add a little extra to my supplement regimen — along with Melatonin — which can support your body’s natural sleep cycle.‡ Take both of these at night!
I bring: Melatonin and Magnesium Citrate
Immune Booster:
From airports and train stations to the planes and trains themselves, your immune system can take a beating when you’re in transit (and this goes for any form of transportation). Adding some Vitamin C can provide immune defense so you’ll actually enjoy yourself when you get where you’re going!‡
I bring: Vitamin C or Pure Defense which has Vitamin C, Zinc, and more!
Hydration:
Planes literally dehydrate us. For too long, I’d get off a flight swollen… and no matter how much water I’d drink, I couldn’t get myself rehydrated. Electrolyte packets have changed everything.
I bring: Electrolyte Packets
Stress Support:
If flying stresses you out, you better bring your adaptogens! Flying aside, whether you are traveling for work or on a vacation, stress happens. You’re worried about flying, concerned that things at home are running smoothly, and still focused on your email inbox (you gotta let that go!). No matter what your stressors are, an adaptogen like Ashwaganda can really help moderate occasional stress!‡ These are best taken daily on your trip, because — let’s be honest — the end of the trip can often be just as stressful as the beginning. It’s the ultimate Sunday Scaries!
I bring: Ashwaganda
Airport Detox & Overall Detox:
Supporting your detox pathways while on vacation or traveling is soimportant. Airports have a ridiculous amount of radiation and are generally chaotic, and beyond the airport or train station, you’re simply doing things differently than you do at home when you’re away! These supplements will support your body whether you’re eating and drinking differently, or even just off from being in a different time zone.‡
I bring: Liposomal Glutathione (helps support antioxidant defenses and liver health – our master detoxifying organ) and Detox Packs (super convenient and has B vitamins, omega-3s, NAC, l-glutamine and chlorella) which are so important for supporting your liver and body during travel!‡
Other things I do while traveling:
Clean and wipe down my cell phone to boost immunity.
Get fresh air.
Stay active and move my body.
Hydrate (a reusable water bottle is a mustfor traveling).
Get plenty of sleep.
Eat well, but also live a little and enjoy!
Get more details about my travel routine on this post.
Disclaimer: Always consult with a doctor before making changes to your supplement regimen, especially if you have health issues. Try out supplements before your travels if possible so you know how you react! Pure Encapsulations is a brand that I personally use and have recommended to you all for years (you should see my supplement drawer!) so I was so excited to be able to partner with them on this post. All opinions are 100% my own, and I’d never share something I don’t personally use or fully stand behind.
‡These statements have not been evaluated by the Food & Drug Administration. These products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
