But if Beast Dazai put the collar on Beast Atsushi from the start, why would Beast Atsushi know the amount of damage he would cause?
Simple, he messed up and Beast Dazai took the collar off on the next full moon and sent Beast Atsushi on a mission. One in which there were no survivors other than the Weretiger himself.
Friend? For? It didn’t matter they all met their end at Beast Atsushi’s claws. Beast Atsushi was mortified, screaming and sobbing when the news broke out and Beast Dazai backhanded him. Stating that he lost valuable men because of him. Before smiling and telling Beast Atsushi that he truly was the perfect weapon.
When the collar was presented to him Beast Atsushi put it on himself without hesitation and he has not taken it off since.
That incident is also where Atsushi earned the title of The Port Mafia’s White Reaper.

I know Beast Atsushi’s recruitment to the Port Mafia would’ve been very sad and depressing. But I’d love if it was just Beast Dazai bribing him with money and food.
Because that’s basically how Bsd Atsushi ended up in the Agency and Beast Dazai would know that. Beast Akutugawa would’ve needed a whole speech and then some to force him into the Port Mafia.
Meanwhile Beast Dazai just showed up and fed the stray tiger and he followed him home.
