#Anyway. Rambling aside. I feel physically good but I'm left with longing and an ... even deeper grief mentally.

hiii!!! i saw your one shot request thingy- and my partner once said "i will pay someone like 50$ to write a lil x kimi hurt/comfort fanfic. im not joking. i am DESPERATE right now!!!! 😭" sooo i will request exactly that on their behalf :3
So I wasn't sure if you wanted emotional or physical hurt, so I went with Emotional. If you want Physical, I can do that to lol. I hope this is good. It's my first experience actually writing for All Grown Up and Lil/Kimi rather than just imagining scenarios in my head. Hopefully its not too out of character. I watched a few episodes to prepare for this. Anyway, I'm rambling. Onto the story!
Description: Kimi has depression, Lil notices and decides to offer her support.
Warnings: Talk of depression. That's pretty much it.
Full story under the cut :) or read on AO3
Word Count: 1,125
Kimi sat down on the floor of her bedroom, leaning against her bed. She was alone in the house, since the rest of her family had gone out for dinner. She pulled her knees to her chest and laid her head on them. It’s not that her family didn’t want her to go with them, or even that she didn’t want to go with them but it just seemed that recently, she didn’t have enough energy to do much of anything.
It had started with the Java Lava. She’d been doing great working there. She was saving some money and had a good amout that she could spend, but one day everything just felt so off. She told her dad that she just needed a bit of a break from it all. That was almost 3 months ago now and she hasn’t stepped foot in the cafe since. It really sucked, since that’s where her friends spent most of their time.
Speaking of, she’d practically stopped doing anything with them that wasn’t at her own house. It was hard enough to go to school every day, let alone go out afterwards. She had been canceling plans with them for almost as long as she’d stopped working. No one seemed to notice, anyway, Tommy, Phil, and Chuckie were usually so caught up with their own things that they hardly noticed that she was missing. The only one that had caught on to all of this was Lil.
Kimi moved to lay on her back, staring at the ceiling. The sound of a doorbell brought her out of her thoughts, she glanced towards her bedroom door. She really should go answer the door but... It was all the way downstairs and she was sure it was probably just some salesman or something. She decided to ignore it, staring back at a glue stain on her ceiling. It was left over from when her friends attempted to redo her room.
Whoever was at the door, though, was persistent. The bell rang a few more times and just as she was about to get up and go answer it, she heard it open and the sound of footsteps were coming towards the stairs. She shot up off the ground and looked around the room, searching for something she could use to defend herself from the intruder. She grabbed a fake potted plant off of the nightstand and raised it up as her bedroom door opened.
“Kimi, I know you’re-” Lil cut herself off with a shriek as the potted plant hit the wall next to her head, “Jesus, Kimi, you could’ve killed me!” The dark haired girl’s face reddened and she looked away from her girlfriend who stood in the doorway.
“You scared me, I thought you were, like, a murderer or something!” Kimi defended, crossing her arms and plopping onto her bed. Lil moved to sit next to her and intertwined their fingers.
“Well, I’m not a murderer.” Lil smiled, “Chuckie texted me and said that you wouldn’t come out of your room and go to dinner and I happen to know that you’re always excited for your family’s weekly Friday night dinner.” Lil said, “So what’s up?” Kimi sighed and leaned her head onto Lil’s shoulder.
“I-I really don’t know… I just…” Kimi trailed off. She didn’t even really know what it was that was wrong with her. Maybe she was sick? But her body felt relatively fine aside from just feeling heavy.
“Chuckie said, and don’t take this the wrong way, but he said you’ve been... A bit snappier than usual.” Lil said, looking at her girlfriend, “And you haven’t been doing much of anything. You even stopped working at the Java Lava... You used to really enjoy that.” Kimi sighed and fell back to lay on her bed. She already knew all of this... Why did Lil even have to bring it up at all? She was about to voice that, but then Lil continued, “Kimi, I think you might... I mean I’m not a doctor or anything, but it sounds like... Like depression.” Lil said quietly, like she was scared Kimi might get mad. Kimi bolted up and turned to face the burnette. Okay. So maybe she was mad.
“I am not depressed! I-I can’t even believe that you would think that!” Kimi snapped, pacing back and forth in front of her girlfriend who wore a worried expression, “Stop looking at me like that! I- I’m not... I...” She felt tears begin to well up in her eyes and she wanted to scream.
“Its okay if you are, hun. You just need to talk to your mom and she can get you some help. I know that junior year has been hard on you, especially with all your honors classes and extracarriculars, its too much... Maybe you just need to talk to someone, or I think that a vitamin D deficiancy can cause issues to-”
“Just shut up, Lil!” Kimi practically shouted, “I cannot be depressed! I-I have the perfect life... I have friends and a good family and you... What does it say about me if I’m depressed when I have all of that!” tears were now falling down her face faster than she could wipe them away. Lil stood up now, Kimi was having difficulty getting a breath.
“Depression isn’t a choice, love, its, like, a chemical thing in your brain. It doesn’t mean you don’t love your friends and family.” Lil spoke, hoping to calm the other girl. She stood up and approached Kimi, moving her arms to rest over he head and instructed her to take deep breaths. Kimi followed along with Lil’s instructions and soon she was calmed down.
The two sat together on Kimi’s bedroom floor, Kimi was leaned into her girlfriend’s side. She still had some tears falling, but she could breath now. Lil’s arm was wrapped around Kimi’s shoulder, rubbing comforting circles on her arm.
“Lil... I-I think that I might be depressed.” She finally admitted. Lil pulled her even closer and pressed a kiss to her forehead.
“It’ll be alright, Kimi, we’ll get you some help. I promise.” Lil said, she would help Kimi no matter what.
Later, when her family arrived home, Lil sat with Kimi, holding her hand, while she explained the situation to her family. Luckily, they were quick to offer their support Kira and Chas were already searching the internet for what to do when your teen is suffering from depression, and Chuckie and Lil promised to check in on her more. Kimi felt lighter than she had in months. And all thanks to Lil. She smiled at her girlfriend, who was still talking to Chuckie, but Lil smiled back anyway.

If this is greater than 500 or been asked before I'm sorry !!
But what about from Wolffe's POV:
“Please. Look at me.” Unencumbered by the modulator, that low voice sounded clearer than ever. Not even in her dreams could she hear that constant burr all the clones had. Especially Wolffe. Weakened by his command, she tilted her gaze up.
The girl broke into a loud sob.
Bi-colored eyes stared deep into hers, searching past her watery eyes with a fierceness that left her hands fumbling for purchase. On anything. Anywhere. And after a few seconds, her heart decided on his face. Her cries deepened, as she pulled herself closer to him. Burying her face to his exposed neck, all in weakness of seeing that beautiful scar over his face. She saw that golden glitter in his eye, and the soft expression she’d dreamt of over and over again. She felt the heat of his skin against her face, bringing her even closer to the lucid dreams she’s spent the past years of life in just to get one more night of feeling him.
“You found me.” She moaned into his neck, releasing fear-filled cries against him. She just hoped it was real. That he was truly back, and not under that evil influence that had terrified
her for so long. “Please, don’t hurt me again.” She pleaded, gripping harshly at the edges of his armor, pulling him impossibly closer despite her fright. “You found me.”
It was too much all at once. His smell, his voice, the sound of his heart, his arms suddenly wrapping tight around her waist as she fell further into him. She remembered that strength, holding her in the early morning hours, securing her to his bare chest like there was nowhere in the galaxy he’d rather be. Protecting her, and silently loving her even while asleep. Now, down on her knees in the snow, it was all she could do to hold onto him. All she knew was that she’d found him. And whatever it was telling her she was safe, this time she was certain she could trust it. Hearing him say speak so softly… it was all she could take.
“I found you Wolffe.”
Their reunion just really got me 😍

Oh my 🤍🤍 This one makes me so happy 😍😍 Let's get into it!
***
Wolffe hadn't heard Mando'a apart from Rex for years. And even then, Rex wasn't the most habitual with it. Only muttered phrases, or using it as a reassurance of sensitive information when they weren't sure who was listening in. Being Bounty Hunters meant that the pair heard a lot of languages, but nothing sounded quite like Mando'a. They'd met thousands of people traversing the galaxy hunting targets for petty pay-outs, all of them with particular voices, and lilts that set them apart from everyone else. But... there was one voice that Wolffe wanted to hear so badly, listening for her everywhere, all the time.
So when he heard that sweet voice, that soft burr of Mando'a, Wolffe felt like the entire galaxy has stopped spinning. His heart was beating out of his chest, and he felt fearful that it was just another false alarm. That his mind was playing another cruel trick on him for being so kriffing hopeful all this time. But he couldn't chance it, and turned around to see his entire world standing right there before him like she'd never left. Wolffe had spent so long looking that actually seeing Pup felt like a dream. There was a mirage-like effect that kept him from speaking her name, or even realizing that his appearance was probably not a welcome one.
He tried to say something... anything. But nothing but a failed choke could be heard over the blustering snow and wind around them. He saw her flinch, the way her whole body shied away from him then. In that moment he recognized a shocking fear; One that came from seeing a man in armor, and of what they could do when their mind wasn't their own. Wolffe didn't know what to do. He did want to keep her from running, but by the way things were going already, his chances didn't look good. He opened his mouth to try and speak again, but before he could get anything out she utterly collapsed.
"Please don't hurt me."
It cuts Wolffe down to the bone to hear her say those words. They echo painfully in his mind and he feels the weight of his incompetence and broken promises to her fall in a fiery crash all around him. All he ever wanted was to keep her safe... Protect her from the things he'd spent his whole life fighting to ignore and suffering through nightmares because of. Her cries were painful, and attacking his heart in a way that was too excruciating to ignore. Wolffe knew he'd been absent, and he blamed himself wholly, but he couldn't resist from trying to reassure her that he wanted nothing more than to hold her again.
Note: Wolffe is a man of action. He's not good with words, and often they just fail him completely. And when I drafted the first cut of this chapter, I didn't use Wolffe's point of view because I wanted to focus on Pup's first sight of a clone in general. I wanted you to experience that fear alongside her, and although you knew it was Wolffe all along, she doesn't know that. And even if her mind had allowed for it, she still would've been wholly fearful of him anyways.
Note: Wolffe's blame isn't well-founded. He has a skewed idea of what is really his fault and what isn't because he remembers everything he did under the influence of his inhibitor chip. Although he couldn't fight it, Wolffe still holds himself to such a high standard that he honestly believes that he just wasn't good enough to fight against it. This is part of his weakness as a character, and more so as a man in general. He thinks strength is something he has to possess all the time; That showing weakness is a sign of his inability to perform the tasks he was created for. (And aside from loving Pup, Wolffe is very harsh on himself when that standard isn't upheld to the fullest.)
Every movement was deliberately slow. Wolffe could see her terror, and for once in his life, he thought that maybe showing her his face might be the only thing that would put someone at ease. The one part of him that he hated most was the only proof that he was still the man she'd been so kind to love in the first place. The same scar and eye that Pup had so softly fawned over, and loved like it had always been a part of him. Her eyes were bloodshot and overflowing with fat and heavy tears, darting everywhere but at his visor... It broke his heart, and he wanted to help it stop, but she needed this to be done right. And that meant slowly. The second she shied away, Wolffe felt the first pinch of his own emotion beginning to take over. His chest burned and pressure started building behind his eyes. His baby... His precious girl was so terrified that she couldn't bear it.
"Please. Look at me."
Wolffe knew his voice wasn't enough. And his plead was desperate, begging for her to take a chance that she had every right to ignore. But something in him was adamant. Maybe it was knowing that he was this close and it was up to her to decide whether this could go any further, or maybe Wolffe just needed to see her face again. It'd been so long, and he'd not forgotten a single detail, but there was nothing that compared to seeing her somewhere other than his dreams.
It was instant recognition, and Wolffe was utterly torn apart with relief when she lurched towards him. It was galaxy-shattering to feel her hands on him, and see that fear instantly transition into shock that matched his own. Her fingers were frozen, and Wolffe finally began to take in the first signs that Pup was actually not in the best health in that moment. But he couldn't pay proper attention to it with her cold nose and hot panting breath fanning his neck.
She's really here. I can hold her again. I don't have to keep looking anymore... hurting anymore. She's safe. My baby is right where she belongs.
"You found me."
He's been trying not to move too fast, but she's holding onto him too tight; Practically climbing into his lap to get closer. And Wolffe is a patient man, but he can't resist from wrapping his arms around her and hauling her as tight to his chest as he can. She's fucking shaking, from the immense fear and shock, but from this nasty weather that's made her coat almost rock-hard from frozen sweat and body heat. Wolffe knows she's in danger of over-exposure, and now that he's certain she's safe, it takes almost immediately takes priority.
The first thing Wolffe does is cry.
It's not a soft relief of tears, nor is it the quiet kind that soldiers hide beneath their helmet when they're afraid of showing their humanity. These are the kind that hurt. The ones that make your chest feel like it's being cracked open and your head is being pressed by a vice. Wolffe cries like the day his chip was removed; And despite not remembering that day, he couldn't care less that an entire outpost of people are watching him cling to this little woman he's wailing over. It's the rawest emotion Wolffe has ever felt in his life, and for all of the loss and guilt he feels, that's a fucking statement he's not surprised by in the slightest.
Pup is his motivation. She's always been his light at the end of the tunnel, and his reason to keep going when he didn't feel like he could physically do it any longer. He spent his whole life believing that he wasn't worthy of anything good, or wholesome. And right when he's at his lowest, someone -or something- decides that what he needs is a woman with a soft voice and a love for him that is unmatched and limitless. Wolffe clings to that with everything in him, just to have her ripped away again. Now he's holding her. Soothing her at her lowest point, and wondering just what he did to have another second chance and falling apart with gratitude and pure fucking love for this woman because even after all this time she still found it in herself to love him.
So Wolffe cries like never before, because love is the most painful thing he's ever felt before. But he would've have it any other way.
***
Thank you for the request my love 🤍
I tried to focus more on Wolffe here than on my own thoughts while writing. I don't get to write from his perspective often anymore and I really loved getting the opportunity to do so! So thank you for letting my give Wolffe some much-deserved love!

this is pretty random and you don't need to answer it, haha, but could you share your personal hcs regarding platonic todobaku with me??? 🥺🥺🥺 i'm in need, LOL, and your takes on characterization and relationships on bnha are always so spot on, so... i hope you're having a good day/night!!!!!!!💖💖💖
thank you so much! sorry it took a while to gather all of these; my TodoBaku headcanons weren’t as immediately forthcoming as my general Baku headcanons were. but here goes. the first half of these ended up being more just my general thoughts about their relationship than actual headcanons, but I eventually steered myself back on track.
first of all, this is important to note: when Katsuki says in ch. 241 that “there’s no correlation between time spent [together] and friendship”, it’s not purely out of denial. this is something he genuinely believes, having learned it the hard way growing up. for someone who seemingly led a pretty charmed life for most of his childhood, Katsuki hasn’t actually had a particularly sunshiny experience when it comes to his friendships. all of his closest childhood friends eventually left him (Tsubasa), turned on him (Deku -- from his perspective lol. obviously this wasn’t actually the case at all, but it’s how he interpreted it, and it definitely had a big impact on him emotionally), or abandoned him (that long-fingered kid, who notably fled and never looked back when the sludge monster tried to eat Katsuki back in chapter one. like, thanks for nothing, my dude).
so it’s not surprising that all of these experiences would have a profound impact on Katsuki’s ability to trust other people and accept them as real, genuine friends. in its own way his childhood was almost as isolating as Deku and Shouto’s. it’s only since coming to U.A. that he’s started to make real friends again for the first time since kindergarten. and even then, in the case of Kirishima and Kaminari and Sero, even though I think he does consider them friends, he still isn’t very open with them. because he’s learned the hard way that that can lead to hurt, and I think he’s very hesitant to ever let himself be vulnerable to that again.
but having said all that, Shouto is still absolutely correct when he says that they’re friends. and the thing is Katsuki knows it too, but he’s just reluctant to admit it. partly because the part of his brain that processes everything as rivalry isn’t sure whether Being Friends With Shouto = Losing To Shouto (IS THIS A TRAP??), and partly because of everything else I just explained above. even though by this point he knows Shouto pretty well, well enough to be reasonably sure he’s not just gonna be another fakeass groupie who turns tail at the first sign of trouble, there’s still a part of him that’s hesitant to admit that connection is there, because doing so opens him up to potentially being hurt again at some point. goddammit. why is this shit so complicated.
meanwhile on Shouto’s side of things, this poor lil bubba never had any friends growing up to begin with, so he’s not nearly as paranoid or prickly as Katsuki is. instead, he’s still discovering for himself just what friendship is all about. the interesting thing about Shouto is that since he never had any childhood friendships, in a way, the friendships that he’s making now at U.A. are his childhood friendships. and so they tend to be straightforward and uncomplicated in much the same way that very young children’s friendships are uncomplicated. “I like this person; I am going to make them my friend.” boom. done. friendship is mad easy yo.
and he does like Katsuki! sure, his personality is a bit unconventional, but there’s a lot to admire about him even so, and they actually have a lot in common! they’re both rather introverted. they’re both very serious, and I think this is something that Shouto particularly appreciates, because jokes and idioms and playful insincerity sometimes fly over his head just because he doesn’t have a lot of experience dealing with other people. but Katsuki NEVER jokes around, and he is never insincere. he says what he means, with the exception of insults, which are 90% more bark than bite. and so once Shouto figured that out, it became very easy to figure out how to interact with him. aside from that, they’re both close with Shouto’s Other Best Friend Midoriya, they both have incendiary quirks, and they both tend towards the quiet side (yes, even Katsuki) with the occasional burst of hotheadedness (maybe a bit more than “occasional” when it comes to Katsuki’s end).
and like I said, there’s a lot that Shouto admires about Katsuki as well. he really respects how determined Katsuki is, because he himself lacked any sort of clear goals for quite a while growing up. all he knew was that he didn’t want to end up being like his dad. but Katsuki is someone who has always known what he wants, and he goes after it with a singlemindedness that Shouto is almost envious of. he’s also very intelligent and quick-thinking, and Shouto knows he can rely on him in a tight spot. he’s also honest, and surprisingly principled, and while he’s definitely not the nicest guy around, I think Shouto can recognize to some degree those same types of walls that he once spent so much time building up around himself. and so he knows that to a certain extent, Katsuki’s hostility is just a front. and I think he’s both intrigued by that, and drawn to it. because every so often when Katsuki’s guard does drop and his better self briefly shines through, Shouto can see that he’s someone worth getting to know.
anyways, but enough of my rambling about their relationship, and on to the actual headcanons. first of all, I firmly believe in my heart of hearts that at some point during all of those mentally and physically taxing weekends spent training for their provisional exam, they have each fallen asleep on the other’s shoulder during the ride home. Katsuki was actually the first to do it, and it was only for a couple of minutes, but when he woke up he was absolutely mortified. but much to his relief, Shouto never said another word about it. (and if Shouto still remembers the warm, cozy feeling in his chest during those few brief minutes when Katsuki was dead to the world, with his face smoothed out and completely trusting and his breathing strangely in rhythm with the movement of the car, and if doing so brings him a sense of calm that’s hard to describe, well then, that’s no one’s business but his own.)
anyway, so because life is Just Like That, eventually of course the reverse happened. and with anyone else, Katsuki would have violently shoved them aside without a second thought, and he was almost gonna do the same here, but then he remembered he owed him (because he really did keep his mouth shut about the earlier incident, thank fuck), and so he didn’t. for almost two whole minutes, anyway. whatever. that’s more than generous, really. meanwhile no one else knows about this except for Aizawa, who was chaperoning them that day, and took mild notice at first on account of it being unusual behavior on Katsuki’s part, but then immediately forgot about it afterwards. he was proud of them both for upping their napping game, though. he respects naps.
both Shouto and Katsuki were actually scared shitless during the test of courage at the forest training camp, and if Katsuki hadn’t been kidnapped and everything had instead gone on as normal, they would have both had trouble getting to sleep that night. Katsuki actually can’t stand scary movies or ghost stories (fyi this is canon according to the third light novel, and EXCUSE HIM FOR HAVING A HEALTHY RESPECT FOR THE SUPERNATURAL. you wanna go and get your own dumb ass cursed or dragged to hell or whatever, BE HIS GUEST). whereas Shouto has next to no experience with them and doesn’t really see what’s so scary about ghosts because GHOSTS AREN’T REAL DUH, but even he feels a little unsettled when an undead swamp girl suddenly rises from the depths and crabwalks towards them in the middle of the woods.
Katsuki has on rare occasions been so drained by provisional lessons that he goes into autopilot and forgets to pretend not to be friends with Shouto, which can result in them having completely normal conversations for minutes at a time before he eventually regains enough of his senses to realize he’s fraternizing with the enemy. this is how Shouto learned about things like Katsuki’s favorite foods, and his love of hiking. the latter is actually one subject that Katsuki can go on and on about if you get him started, and Shouto very much enjoys hearing about it and never tries to stop him.
by contrast, Katsuki never intentionally seeks to gain any new knowledge about Shouto because he feels like he already knows way more than he ever wanted to. however, this doesn’t stop him from absorbing knowledge against his will by simple osmosis, and then discovering to his dismay that he’s retained the information afterward. this is why he also knows Shouto’s favorite food in return (although to be fair, I think everyone in Japan knows Shouto’s favorite food), as well as other tidbits like the fact that he likes strawberry-flavored things (because he always gets the same brand of strawberry milk from the vending machine during their lunch breaks). he hates himself a little for both noticing and remembering these stupid little details, and would rather be kidnapped again than ever admit to Shouto that he does.
Katsuki thinks of Shouto as “Todoroki” in his head rather than “IcyHot” or “Half n’ Half”, and has to make a conscious effort to use the nicknames whenever he addresses him out loud. more and more often he finds himself forgetting to do so nowadays, much to his dismay. Shouto was pleasantly surprised the first few times it happened, but quickly stopped taking notice of it, as he’s come to realize that the way Katsuki addresses people carries very little meaning regardless, since something like 75% of his actual feelings are conveyed through his actions rather than his words.
Katsuki does wish that Shouto had had the decency to choose his surname as his hero alias rather than his given name, though. he lives in fear that one of these days he’ll be required to call him “Shouto” while on duty. number one hero or not, there’s a good chance he would resign from his internship at the Endeavor Hero Agency before he ever willingly agreed to that.
and last but not least, the number one thing that Katsuki would rather jump in a freezing lake than admit to Shouto or even himself is that he actually cares about him too. and has even mostly forgiven him for wussing out at the last minute during the sports festival. he still doesn’t fully understand why he did it, but he gets that Shouto was Going Through Some Stuff, and okay yeah, he can admit that his family situation is pretty fucked up, so whatever. there’s an uncomfortable feeling he gets whenever he’s reminded of this; sort of a weird, squirmy feeling in the pit of his stomach whenever the subject of Endeavor comes up, or whenever he sees Shouto talking to the man himself. it makes him feel restless and on edge, and he never knows what to say or do afterwards, especially if Shouto goes all quiet and sullen and reflective. he wants to scream at him, or slap him on the back of the head, or grab him by the shoulders and shake him; whatever it takes to snap him out of it and ease the tension. but he knows that’s not the right way to handle it. and more to the point, he knows that he’s not the right person to handle it. and sometimes, if he’s not quick enough to squash the feeling when he senses it coming, he wonders how Shouto would react if he ever found out what Katsuki used to be like back in elementary and middle school. and he wonders whether Shouto would still be so dead-set insistent on calling them friends. and then he does squash out the thought, as viciously as he possibly can.
anyway so that turned weirdly angsty towards the end whoops. not even sure what happened there, since this is supposed to be my cute and funny ship, while BakuDeku greedily hogs all the angst for itself! lol my bad. but don’t worry, they still love each other, and Shouto is still fond and soft and equipped with bullshit-radar, and Katsuki is still rabid and in denial and a dumbass.

Sometimes moving on is good
Chapter 3&4
The two of you met often for drinks and chatting, while you exchanged a few messages.
You : Hey😝✌️ what is up ? I haven't heard from you today, is everything ok? Btw i finished your recipe but the cake 🍰 was not looking good😭🤣
Diane : hi, sorry i was busy with work. what happened with the cake? Oh i know you must have overcooked it, i used to do that all the time at first. What does btw mean? And why are there little faces on my phone ?
You :🤣oh honey...those are smileys you use that to had emotions to texts. AND Btw means by the way, everybody knows that diane.
Diane: haha ! Well I don't, anyways I finally finished the book you handed me last time.
You: OMG ALREADY??? IN 3 DAYS ! did you at least like it?
Diane: i did especially because of Jude’s past. Oh, and then Jude’s present, because sometimes life just keeps knocking people down, even when they’ve already suffered more than anyone ever should.
You: yes ohh it was so sad. I almost shead a tear. Which does not happen often !
Especially when reading... But I'm glad you liked it.😘
Diane: well i did the writing was really good, and the plot was interesting, what do you mean especially when you read ?
You: well... I always have trouble connecting to a book, especially when I have to read it, AND WHEN IT'S LONNNG🤣
In all seriousness I just have a hard time reading for as long as I can remember.
Diane: oh...why is that??
You: well I was diagnosed with An Oral and Written Language Learning Disability with impairment in reading and a specific reading comprehension deficit years ago. So basically my brain don't wORK.
Diane: i apologise that was intrusive of me
You: oh no don't worry I'm fine with talking about it, it's not that big of a deal, it doesn't stop me from messing up your cake🤭😭.
Diane: 😂 you'll do better next time don't worry. Do you know what are the causes ? You don't have to answer. It's just, well medicine interests me a lot.
You: apparently an abnormal cortical development, that occurs before or during the sixth month of fetal brain development, may have Abnormal cell formation known as ectopias, and more rarely, vascular micro-malformations, and microgyrus.
It's all big words but yeah those are the latest studies about dyslexia sais.
Diane: oh okay, i never thought it was actually physical, it's good to know
you: me neither until I searched it ! Even if I had it🤣. Sorry i gotta go I'm gonna be late for work !
Diane : sure, have fun! well Don't have fun...you know what I mean
Goodbye y/n.
When you got back from work you directly went on your phone hoping that diane sent you a message just so you'd have an excuse to talk to her. You had just seen her a few days before but somehow you still missed her, and little did you know she was missing you too.
After a few weeks you grew closer, and she invited you over for lunch or brunch, but tonight, you were going out. Together. You had asked her on a date a few days before.
"Hi Diane ? Yes it's me I was wondering if you'd like to go out with me on Friday ?...mmm...yes well I know a great place next to the cinema... Totally we can go out to the movies and then diner...what do you want to see ? Okay, cool see you then."
Yes, you were neighbors, you could've asked her in person, but you didn't want to be rejected face to face, it seamed easier to do on the phone.
And tonight was the night, the movie didn't start until a few hours, but you had already started getting ready. You picked up a nice outfit, Classy but casual, and put on just a little make up.
Tumblr media
On the other side of the road diane was also starting to prepare, she was -not gonna lie- overall a bit anxious, why did you ask her out? Was it a date ? No it couldn't be, you'd never think of her like this. She was lucky to call you her friend, maybe you didn't even think of her as a friend ? God I'm so silly i got carried away, she probably doesn't even like me back. She was completely overwhelmed with thoughts, her breathing was shallow and she could not get in the right headspace as she put on her outfit.
She didn't notice that it was almost time, and that you were going to show up anytime to pick her up.
She offered to drive but you said you'd like too since you worked from home and didn't drive your car out often.
next thing she knows, her doorbell rings and as she goes down the stairs you hear her say "coming !" in a soft voice.
"I'm so sorry I barely even finished getting ready... Here come in I just have to find my shoes and I'll be right there." She looked so beautiful in her bordeaux dress that you didn't register her words.
Tumblr media
"...o.. okay.." you manage to say while eyeing her up and down. Even if she didn't seem to know, she was beyond beautiful and you were going to make sure she did.
"You look.." you couldn't finish you sentence before she started rambling and letting all of her anxieties taking over her speach.
-" what too much, oh no i should have never put on that, sorry i thought it was cute but I'm too old for this and ugl...
She didn't have time to finish you just cut her off;
-"NO ! No i ment you look beautiful like this"
You couldn't help but feel attracted to her right now, but you put it aside, she didn't like women obviously?
-"Oh...wait really ?" You could feel the shakiness in her tone
"Yes...of course you look cute, and the dress is amazing on you. Don't even worry about it you are a very beautiful women diane."
You said in a firm voice that made her knees go weak.
"Well we should get going sweetie, do you have your shoes?"
"Yes..let's go" she closed the door blushing widely as you opened up the door to your car.
You bowed as you said "Milady" in a formal tone
She giggled softly and it was the most precious sound in the universe.
The car drive went by in a comfortable silence as just the soft music and a bit of humming could be heard.
You invited her to the movies, she offered the popcorn and choose your seats.
It wasn't necessarily a scary movie, but when things got a little tense, you could see her clench the armrest, so you scooted over and offered her your shoulder so she could hold on to you. After a bit of esitaton she accepted your embrace and the two of you cuddled together while the movie played. She gasped and then laughed at herself a few times.
When the credits started to roll none of you wanted to move, but you broke the silence and told her;
"As much as I'd like to stay here and cuddle you... I think the dude standing there with the bucket needs us to leave... Also the reservation is in ten minutes."
She sighed softly in defeat, gathered her bag and started to get up.
She rose too quickly and felt dizzy as her legs started to buckle. But you cought her hips before she could fall.
"It's okay...I got you", you said softly in her ear.
"Are you good? Can you walk" you asked as you still held her hips firmly. Which send a shiver down her spine, and a tingle down further to the both of you.
"Yeah.. I'm good thank you I just got up too fast".
You both went to the restaurant, the waiter took your orders and you both started to chat about anything and everything, the movies, life, cake, and even your delicious pastries.
"I was NOT scared !?"
-"YES you totally were ! you clang on to me the whole time I heard you whimper at Thé screen everytime there was something scary on."
-"sorry about that..."
-"why are you apologizing ? If it had bothered me i would have told you so..."
-"oh..okay, but I wasn't scared, just sometimes the movie was making me anxious ! I mean like that part in the stairs...brr..gave me chills."
-"alright alright fine..you weren't scared...I'll give it to you.. just because your cute"
She nearly choked at your comment and became as red as your wine.
"It's okay you don't have to be shy with me."
-"Do you really think I'm cute?"
-"Yeah, already told you you were cute today; and well not just tonight"
-"thank you y/n"
"Anytime diane, you are beautiful i want you to know that"
She didn't want to cry in front of you but you saw the tear she was desperately trying to hide run down her cheek, and got worried.
"Oh diane...are you okay ? I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable... please look at me" you moved closer to wipe the tears off of her face, and gently stroked her cheek.
"I'm fine y/n, just it's been a long time since anybody called me beautiful"
-"Well that's a shame then, and I'll make sure you hear it a lot more."
"You don't have to do that... I don't need to hear it"
-"You do. And you should be hearing it, i don't know why it stopped but I'll make sure it doesn't ever again"
She sobbed at your words again
"Oh No...sweet girl don't cry.. please... you're okay diane, I'm here always, I'm your friend"
She calmed down a bit, and felt butterflies in her stomach at what you said.
-"You are? You mean you actually want to be ?"
"OF course silly, i wouldn't have invited you to diner if I didn't at least like you diane."
Just after that sentence left your mouth the waiter arrived to pick up your plates, you breathed out 'thank you' as he left.
"You know, I don't understand why you didn't think I liked you, at leaaaast a little ?"
You joked as you took a sip of your glass.
"Well.. I've been alone for so long now...I don't know...i thought you were just hanging out with me because you didn't have a choice...".
You were saddened by her words
"Diane..I... if I had known you felt that way I would have said something a long time ago ! I don't want you to think for a second that i am here out of pity or because I got nothing better to do. I'm here cause I wanted to have a nice evening out with you."
You said as you put your hand on top of hers, when she didn't draw back you started to gently stroke it.
"Would you two like some dessert ?"
You pulled away to take the menu form the waitress.
"Do you want some dessert diane? They have apple pie, and tiramisu?"
-"i don't know...I'm not that hungry for both but i don't want to choose."
-"we can share you know"
-"huh? What do you mean"
-"well, i take the apple pie, you take the tiramisu, and we split"
-"are you sure? I wouldn't want to bother y..."
You cut her off before she could go any further.
"Yes I'm sure diane"
"..o..okay then"
"Are YOU sure??" You asked in a funny tone
She giggled and nodded.
You asked the waiter for both and shared when they arrived. After fighting a bit over who would pay you told diane that you had asked her out and therefore you should pay, "and if you want to pay so bad... you'll pay next time."
Both of you were full, you had spent an incredible night, it was dark but you offered diane a quick walk around the park, and she agreed. The two of you made your way back to the car after laughing your asses of and getting even closer than before.
You drove her back to your...her house. And before she entered her home you softly said;
"Well diane, i had an amazing night, we have to do that again sometime."
-"yes we do, i had so much fun too"
-"And I ment everything i said tonight,.."
For a few moments you just looked at each other, your gaze met her lips and she thought about how sweet they would taste before thinking 'who am i kidding she'll never kiss me, get those thoughts out of your head diane'
Before you could process what was happening, both of your bodies grew closer and your eyes shifted between both of your lips you kissed her, softly. it was a calm and quiet kiss. You broke off for air and looked into her eyes. You caressed her cheeks and put your hand on the small of her back before kissing her again, she moaned inside your lips and you took the chance to put your tongue in her mouth. Her hands flew to your neck and she kissed you back.
After a few minutes of making out you pulled away, you didn't really want to break the moment but you asked
"Diane... it's late i should go back home..."
She looked a hurt and a bit sad while she let you go.
"No don't.. I don't regret kissing you Diane don't worry. I just want to take this slow"
"Oh alright I thought you didn't... nevermind. Go home y/n, it's getting cold out here" she looked down at her hands and
"..you don't regret it don't you?"
"No i enjoyed it" she said blushing slightly.
"Good... I'll see you tomorrow then... Good night diane"
you kissed her sweetly again before leaving and you both smiled like teenagers who just had their first date.
-"Sweet dreams y/n"

Hi! I love steo fanfics! I just finished rereading Stain in the basement, wich is amazing, and I would like to ask you about the ending. I know the end was supossed to be up to imagination, but I would like to know your take on it. When you where writing, what did you imagined happening? Was the being that appeared to Theo really Stiles? Where those journals really Stiles's? What was the language they were written on? I'm sorry for the size of this ask, your story really impressed me!
Hello! It’s been a while since someone even asked me about my fics without me coming at them first, so I’m really surprised and glad you came! Also, tumblr didn’t show me the ask and I only noticed it yesterday, so yeah, sorry for kinda late response! Aaand, glad you liked it, yay! Don’t be sorry for the size of an ask, I’m happy anyway, yeah \awkwardly waves hands\
This chunk of a story, what happened to Stiles and so on, was left aside because I understood it should be a 20k+ fic and I won’t be able to crunch it in a week. But I’ll come back to it eventually! Though I’ll answer your curiosity, yay
This thing was highly inspired by the movie Wake Wood, which has Pet Sematary vibes with bringing the dead back and so on. So at first, I didn’t know what exactly happened to Stiles, I knew he died, but he was tied to the house because his father lived here. Then I watched the film and the plot changed slightly. So, Noah Stilinski, is, in simple words, a witch. He’s as magic as one can get. And he knew about the Nemeton and other powers that live in the forest.
When Stiles was three, he fell from the tree and broke his neck. Claudia, who looked away for like a second, was devastated. Noah took Stiles’ body, told Claudia to calm down and left. He knew the ritual, that allowed reviving people. So when he came back almost in the morning, Stiles was alive, covered in dirt and blood, but a bit out of it. He explained Claudia in a hushed voice, that he’ll be ok in the morning, and won’t remember a thing.
At that time she was just relieved, and Stiles didn’t act any different from how he usually was. He died a few more times by sheer accident, but without a fail, Noah brought him back.
And then FTD stroke and Claudia lost it. She killed him at least three times by the time Noah managed to put her in Eichen. Noah said and believed these resurrections didn’t really affect Stiles, but he was wrong - Stiles was just good at not showing it. He really didn’t remember how he died, and how he was resurrected, but something was bothering him and yeah.
In his teenagehood, he died like two or three times. Also, it was like 80th, and BH was small, so even if people saw his dead body, they didn’t really question him being fine and dandy the next day. At least, they didn’t dare to question it out loud.
“Sometimes children are just not meant to live long enough to see adulthood,“ Finstock once muttered, when he helped Noah deal with Stiles right before he went to the college. The kid managed to fall during the lacrosse practice, and, let’s say he’s really good at falling dead. And Finstock had his guesses (also I’m all for Sheriff/Finstock, but shhh, this isn’t the thing here).
Noah just shrugged and proceed washing the blood from Stiles’ hairs.
And then Donovan happened. He came for Sheriff but noticed Stiles as well. Stiles burned him, but couldn’t kill - even though he wanted to. He also called an ambulance and died three minutes before arriving in the hospital.
Now, that’s the time we talk about the ritual. It allows one to bring you the dead person back, but only if it’s been less then 21 hours since their death. The sheriff was unconscious for five days, and Finstock was out of the town.
The ritual advices deeply against even attempting something after 21 hours, before there are too many things that could go wrong. But Noah didn’t care, he didn’t let the death take his son for twenty years, he won’t let it take him again.
Stiles did come back, but he was wrong. Because of all resurrections, he dealt with at his earlier age, his character stayed almost the same. It’s just, he stopped being human. He didn’t age, sometimes he just dissolved in thin air to appear a few days later in the same place without even knowing he lost time. He was physical, anyone could touch him, but also he was too cold and wrong to feel comfortable while doing it.
He thought of himself as a spirit though, and Noah didn’t know enough to tell what he was. And being a spirit, or thinking of himself being one, he haunted Donovan, didn’t allow him to die and made him suffer in constant pain of burns and being unable to move. You know, fun stuff.
So when Noah died Stiles kind of lost one of his anchors, and he only haunted Donovan for some time, before Theo moved to the house.
After Donovan’s death, Stiles kinda disappeared again, but Noah managed to learn about his state a bit more in twenty years he coexisted with something like Stiles. That’s who wrote journals - Noah. Some of them were Claudia’s, but they didn’t have anything useful, aside from her falling into madness. There was one Stiles’ journal, but it also didn’t have anything to do with magic, mostly there were to-do lists and so on.
Noah’s journals are more interesting though. They all are written in English, because even though I do like the Polish Stilinskis idea, Polish isn’t the Slavic language I know lol
So in these journals, he wrote about magic. How he wanted to teach Stiles, and how he couldn’t because death would skew his spark into the void, which is completely different magic. Then he described revival ritual. Buty the body under the nemeton’s roots, spill the blood over it, you know, nothing special. And then wait till the dead would just dig their way out.
He also explored everything he could about Stiles’ current undead state. He can’t come back to live anymore, but he can come as close as stopping disappearing, but Noah couldn’t do the needed ritual himself, and they had a big argument with Finstock because of that. So Theo’s gonna use it and yeah.
Also yeah, the ghost who appeared before Theo was Noah, not Stiles, sorry!
I’m not sure how to finish this plot for steo yet, because, I guess, Theo would somewhat resurrect Stiles, he’ll also be more undead, than alive, and he’d die for good as soon as Theo dies. Also, I guess they’ll move from house to house, repair it, sell, and deal with actual ghosts and other supernaturals living there! I still have some writing to do!
But only after I catch up with my other writing, haha...
thank you for reading my ramblings! \runs away awkwardly\
