“What about you?”
“Huh?”
“Beaches and parties; not your thing?”
“The nerdiness gave it away, didn’t it? I’m kidding, I’m kidding! No offence taken!” Mist laughed as his eyes went wide. “But, no, not my thing. People can be... annoying at the best of times. Drunk, they’re just...”
She trailed off, remembering her call to her brother.
“Even more annoying,” he finished quietly for her. Nodding, she gave him a faltering smile. “Were your siblings ‘more annoying’ tonight, by any chance?”
“Kinda, but...” Mist sighed. “I... I think I was a little unfair. I snapped at my brother.”
“Because he was drunk?”
“No. Though, I suppose, kinda...” She sighed again. “It’s complicated.”
“I don’t mind listening to complicated,” he said softly. “As I said, I’m here as a friend.”
Hesitantly, she nodded.
“Loch, my oldest brother. His relationship with his boyfriend is... well, complicated just about covers it. I end up hearing all about it most times he calls. Actually, I end up hearing all of their problems, any time any of them call recently. And I’m usually patient with them, but... but sometimes...” Mist bit her lip, guilt building up for how she felt, but Lukas didn’t fill the silence; he just waited patiently for her to continue.
“...Sometimes they forget I’m not—” she almost said ‘not human’, but caught herself. “That I’m a person, too, with my own problems and feelings. It would be nice to have just one conversation with any of them that didn’t leave me feeling drained.”

Dark OC Asks for Chief:
Excluding murder, what is the worst thing your OC has ever done?
7. How far is your OC willing to go to get what they want?
Dark OC Asks
1. Excluding murder, what is the worst thing your OC has ever done?
Mainverse and both Bad Futures, Chief hasn't done anything worse than murder/assassination thankfully. But ignoring that and everything related, Chief's also a thief. Usually he does reclaim jobs; someone has something that was wrongly taken from the client one way or another, and Chief goes and steals it back. Just like with his primary line of work, Chief's gotta find a way to justify it to himself. Make it morally right in the end.
But he's also more lenient thievery than with assassinations. If a thievery job pays well enough, he'll accept it because objects can be replaced. So, the worst thing Chief could possibly have done excluding his assassination jobs is accepting thievery jobs that don't have a reason other than the client going "I want this thing." No "I want this thing because it used to be my family's and Big Mama won't give it back" or "I want this thing because it was stolen from me and I can't get it back," just "I want this thing because shiny/pretty/expensive/flashy/ect" lmao
7. How far is your OC willing to go to get what they want?
Depending on what it is, Chief is willing to go pretty far.
For example, Mainverse Chief and his mutation. If a retromutagen was said to be in the works somewhere, he would do anything and everything he can to get his hands on it if he still wanted to go back to being human. If the EPF have made something, he'd go after it. He's broken into Big Mama's multiple times, what could the EPF have that she doesn't? They're just humans, after all, and Chief would be one again soon in that scenario.
Also, if one or both of his mates were taken from him, he would readily kill anyone who stands in his path to get them back. They are his.
Bad Futures, they'd do anything to both stop the war and get their mates back. Main Bad Future is dead, but in the time he has left alive and alone if there was a chance to end the war, even if it cost him his life, he'd take it so no one would have to suffer like he did. But if he had the chance to get his mates back instead, he'd also take that.
Dead Man Walking is similar, but considering he survives because he followed his orders and went with Jr to the past, he's gotten the one Main Bad Future wants. The war never fully started, it was stopped before it became unfixable. But... He's still missing his Flame and Softy. His younger self has them, and he watches them from time to time, making sure they don't get hurt while they're out and about because his younger self does not need to experience either of them being hurt, but he never directly interacts with them. It hurts too much.
Big Bro Chief wants to protect his brothers, protect his family, and he will go to the ends of the earth, to extensive lengths to protect them or avenge them if they're harmed. Post Movie, Chief's even turned on Splinter because he believes Splinter's choice to make Leo the leader with no preparation was why he pulled that self-sacrificial stunt. If someone- anyone- endangers or harms Big Bro Chief's little brothers, they're going to have one pissed off slider coming after them.
...Or yelling at them... Disowning them... Trying to attack them as he's held back by his human sister... Telling them that he was never their son, that in the moment he wouldn't have a dead little brother if they didn't appoint said little brother leader with no training, no preparation...

the fact that daryan is never Perceived tm is veryyyyyyy [____] but i don't rly like thinking about it bc it's like. -_- Well ok obviously, the only reason is meta probably. there's nothing that indicates he's a spectacular liar or anything really.... probably it was either a dropped plot point or they just couldnt figure out a good way to do it.....
but that's not funFKLNDFLNG But to be honest neither is the idea "daryan is so good at hiding his tells, he's even better than kristoph" .... or it kind of is fun, i guess? mostly my big thing is im like :/ :( then klavier will be sad though. LOL
in which i don't care abt klavier's feelings on the matter but i do care that he and daryan have a sincere and genuine partnership that isn't jeopardized by like ... daryan possibly being lying the entire time or something crazy.... like klavier can never really trust him again bc it'll always be on his mind... you know? like if even apollo can't tell if daryan's lying ... that'd be crazy unsettling for klavier....
contextually i mean this in a "post-canon post-prison daryan redemption arc" of coursLDKNGKNDGF Bc this wouldnt come up pre-canon or anything. i know klavier should pretty much never be able to rekindle a friendship w daryan anyway but I DONT CAREEEEEEE IM PLAYING TOYS..
i know in development it's mentioned somewhere by someone somehow that they wanted daryan to be fucking with evidence and stuff but i don't think that would affect his tells anyway. ... SHRUG...
i guess he just has to be a good bluffer...which is like, functionally fine on account of being a cop/performer so it's like fine whatever. and really to most other people the difference between being a Pretty good bluffer and 'literally not having any tells' doesn't matter anyway............ WHATEVER
