Alfa Romeo 156 v6 TI "DTM" - 1993

Nel contesto delle competizioni, la storia del DTM è dominata da marchi tedeschi, ma nel 1993 gli italiani riuscirono a sottrarre il titolo con l'Alfa Romeo 155 V6 Ti. Il decimo anno della serie rappresentava una pietra miliare importante, e l'Alfa Corse, il team ufficiale di Alfa Romeo, aveva idee diverse. Con Nicola Larini al volante della 155 V6 Ti, Alfa Corse vinse un record di 11 gare nel suo primo anno, assicurandosi così il campionato. In varie versioni, la 155 V6 continuò a collezionare un record assoluto di 38 vittorie nel DTM.

Sorprendentemente, non utilizzava il famoso V6 Busso a 60 gradi di Alfa Romeo a causa delle regole del campionato che specificavano una configurazione a 90 gradi. Invece, si basava su un V6 Peugeot che rispettava i requisiti del DTM.

A livello tecnico, l'Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI DTM era un concentrato di ingegneria avanzata. Montava un motore V6 a 60º di 2.498 cc, che erogava 420 CV a 11.500 giri/min e una coppia di 294 Nm a 8.000 giri/min. La vettura disponeva di trazione integrale, sospensioni con bracci trasversali e ammortizzatori telescopici, sterzo a cremagliera assistito e freni a disco ventilati su tutte le ruote. Con un peso di solo 1.100 kg, il rapporto peso/potenza era di 0,38 CV/kg, un valore impressionante per l'epoca

Questa macchina da corsa ha segnato una pagina significativa nella storia del motorsport, non solo per l'Alfa Romeo ma per l'intero campionato DTM, dimostrando la potenza e l'ingegnosità italiana in un mare di marchi tedeschi dominanti.
