The Eras Tour | folkmore section | Version 7
Alberta Ferretti custom
As per my previous note on V6 of Taylor’s newly joined ‘folkmore’ section, this is now the second time we’re retreading design territory. V7 of this dress takes the silhouette and botanical elements of the superb V4 gree(eeeeeeeeeee)n version of the gown and renders it in a saturated berry tone.
Since combining these two sections into one, both folkmore dresses are bolder in colour saturation than the previous folklore gowns. Those ran the gamut of softer tones covering mauve, white, blush pink, the aforementioned celery green, and a soft blue. These colours, by contrast, are much richer and bolder. Whether that’s to represent the ‘supercharged’ aspect of the sister albums being united or perhaps borrowing from the overall bolder, richer, warmer tones from the evermore album visuals (and the now defunct evermore-dedicated costumes) compared to the grayscale of folklore’s.

The Eras Tour | folkmore section | Version 6
Alberta Ferretti custom
Between its new place in the setlist, "cardigan" usurping "the 1" (which had previously taken the place of "invisible string") as an opener, and the two pandemic albums combining into one super set it took me a long time to actually accept this was a new folklore gown. Mostly because, if my eyes aren't deceiving me, this is the first time we're getting a new folklore gown that's a repeat silhouette - just a different colour. If I'm not mistaken, V6 is a yellow version of the V2 white gown (which appeared in the Eras Tour Movie).
All of the folklore (or should I now be saying folkmore?) gowns are custom pieces by Alberta Ferretti and have shared similar design elements (a maxi length, flowing sleeves, ruffles, subtle embroidery to catch the stage lights). But they've each had unique necklines and embroidery details until what appears to be now.
