what she says: I love Finding Neverland

what she means: I specifically love the ART incarnation of Finding Neverland starring Aidan Gemme and Laura Michelle Kelly and Jeremy Jordan before it went through all the changes for Broadway. I do own the cast album and like some of the changes but that version had me sobbing. It’s my favourite role of Jeremy’s, it improves on the movie, Aidan and Laura are the only ones I could ever see in those roles and I low key resent Matthew Morrison. The sets and the songs and the story and the well-written friends to lovers plot was beautiful and Mary Barrie was even amazing and I love it so much and then they went ahead and ruined it and made the romance over the top and unnecessary and had three different openings and twelve different endings, I’m exaggerating, and made it all commercial and blah! My second favourite version is probably with Tony Yazbeck because I love Barrie as my angry little Scotsman, not some clean cut Brit but the Broadway choreography and changes and plot alterations lost that beautiful heartbreaking authenticity and intimacy and...STUFF THOSE GUYS FOR FIRING JEREMY JORDAN.
