My other bitching-about-fandom-tropes take is that people can't help making the characters they like not so much morally correct as cool. Seen most blatantly in the, uh, improbable fashion choices in a lot of modern AUs but also just like generally.

I get so stressed from procrastinating and I know there’s an easy solution but idk why I continue doing it like

actually what gets me about d1 is how hyper aware these kids are that their parents don’t love them. in the kitchen scene when they’re absolutely silent after lonnie’s ‘i thought even villains loved their kids’… like there’s no grand realisation. no enlightenment. they are So Aware of the fact their parents don’t love them. even the first line in evie’s rttc verse: ‘so i’ve got some mischief in my blood / can you blame me? i never got no love’.

and yet, we see them desperately trying to please their parents. jay with the lamp. carlos, for a moment, believing cruella wants him to stay bc she’ll miss him. evie with her mother. mal agreeing to go to auradon so she can steal the wand for maleficent.

all of this desperation, some blind belief, which is always going to be futile. their efforts were pointless from the beginning. villains don’t love their kids. and the kids are so, painfully aware of that.

The hairdresser just got a ruler out and called it a day….look how they massacred my boy etc.

I love it when you’re writing something on tumblr and you hit 300 words and when you go to save it in drafts it goes “oopsies! couldn’t save any of it! fuck you!”

And then you have to go back and TRY to rewrite 300 words from poor memory skills alone.

@staff i have ADHD i can’t remember every 300 words I just wrote, and now it’s all gone :)

A couple of beers and some meaningful conversation later and these two are acting like long lost lovers whose souls are finally being reconnected and I am going to need a few minutes to process this

I’m not even sure how to process the new plot with an entirely different crew of Phantom Thieves? Is it an AU? Is it set after P5? Is any of this going to be canon? Has the gameplay changed at all??

The only thing I’m reasonably sure of is that it’s probably gonna be a gacha game. Otherwise I’m lowkey losing it.
