I imagine the development of there relationship was Slow at first. Immovable object (Ray, who has harbored catholic levels of guilt since he was six years old and doesnt think he deserves affection from the people he hurt) vs unstoppable force (Don, who is obsessed with him)

Furthered by the fact that neither of these fuckers know how to talk ab their feelings. They spend months post escape being totally convinced the other hates them. Its like mutual pining but theyre both being hunted for sport so they dont really have time to talk it out

Don had years to stew over his crush on ray so hes (read: a little) more functional ab it. Ray, on the other hand, never really had time for crushes, and is hit with these very distressing newfound feelings like a ton of bricks and is an absolute disaster about it

The start of their relationship is pretty tentative, seeing as neither of them know wtf theyre doing, which leads to ice cream dates that consist of them staring at each other in silence for twenty consecutive minutes because theyre both waiting for the other to speak first

They both make up for their incompetence in verbal communication in different ways. Don is very tactile and shows affection via small bits of physical contact. Ray is more of an acts of service kind if guy, and likes to give Don random little gifts out of the blue

Once they get over the initial awkwardness tho, they are the clingiest motherfuckers alive. If they are not holding hands 24/7 they will cry and scream and wail

Steve and Eddie are the only ones who know the full story between them. So if Chrissy and Robin were to discuss anything between themselves or propose solutions to Steve and Eddie, so that they could make up, Steve and Eddie would be adamant about “just letting it go”. They wouldn’t allow themselves to be wingwomened (lmao) because in Eddie’s case, he wouldn’t believe anything he could say or do would everrrr make up for what he said/did, and at the root, he still believes Steve deserves better. And Steve has thoroughly convinced himself not to even look for signs anymore. He doesn’t want to analyze anything or give himself false hope. Doesn’t want to push Eddie any more than he already has.

So basically….we’re entering the “Moronic Mutual Pining Phase”…if we even ever left it. 😃

I’m looking forward to it though. Just a little bit more emotional edging, and then we can have the confession and the get-together, and it will be soooooo satisfying.

Especially because there will be some emotional maturing on Steve’s part—since it’s his POV. And he develops the skill of setting boundaries for himself after enduring this emotional blow. (😉) And that is key for him and Eddie being able to be together in a healthier way. Offscreen, Eddie is sorting out his emotions too, and coming to some realizations of his own about a lottt of things. (Eddie POV 🥴)

to start off with, in aragonese i love muga/huega/buega, which means "linde" or "frontera" in spanish. i also love agüerro which means autumn. the sonority of it is just 😩🥺. both of these come from euskera. gracias por tanto perdón por tan poco </3. i also love any words in aragonese that have the vowels switched or added (from their spanish equivalent) such as naide, crompar, tiengo, uella, espiello or fierro. (huega and buega also count in this one bc its the same concept). also words such as alberge (apricot) and (not to be self-centered but) minglana <3

in catalan xafardejar is a fave (not only bc i do love to do some xafardeig) and also esquinça-robes bc as i mentioned in another of your asks <333 i just love it. also voritcec (which is an approximation of how we say it, but in reality its written muricec-bat (the animal)). i probably have more words i love but i cant think of any more rn

i dont have any favorite words in spanish bc i have no respect for this language🤩. in reality its bc most of the words ive always liked abt spanish, theyre turned out to be aragonese or from the aragonese dialect lmao
