And when those ruins erode, they will leave nothing, nothing but dirt and dust, and so the great circle goes, and so it all returns to the very earth which bore it.

Is Scott a human or some sort of sea-folk in this AU? I could imagine him as a cecaelia hanging around Alomancy (and hates it when Vincent messes with him) and is well-versed in land stuff since he's able to move around more easily without magic, but also as a regular human with his own little boat selling coffee and other land-based drinks to mermaids and sirens.

I'd like to think of Scott is a full human. Just a lil fisherman who has the bad luck of happening upon a LOT of things. He's friends with Sea Snail Jeremy, and Siren Alomancy. He's just so done with everything.

Feiten over azijn en je gezondheid

Wat weinig mensen weten dat de toepassing van azijn als geneesmiddel een lange traditie heeft. Wist je ook dat azijn anti oxidatief, bloedsuiker regulerend, cholesterolverlagend, bloeddrukverlagend en antimicrobieel werkend is?(1) In dit artikel ga je meer weten over deze toepassing en wat azijn voor je gezondheid kan betekenen. Denk aan wat azijn voor je  bloedsuiker kan betekenen, hoeveel azijn heb je nu écht nodig, over de niet bewezen effecten van azijn en voor welke azijn je het beste kunt kiezen. Vanwege de bloedsuiker regulerende effecten van azijn werd azijn al lang vóórdat er medicijnen waren, ingezet bij diabetes. Azijn reguleert de bloedsuikerspiegel na hoog glycemische maaltijden (zoals witmeel en suiker)(2), doordat azijn de cellen helpt beter en effectiever de suiker uit het bloed op te nemen.(3)   Azijn en de bloedsuikerspiegel Dit effect is vooral bij personen met een voorstadium diabetes type 2 interessant, omdat bij deze ziekte de insulinesensitiviteit van de cellen aangedaan is en door gelijktijdige toevoer van azijn bij de maaltijden deze verbeterd kon worden.(4)   Afbeelding 1 laat zien wat het effect is van azijn op de bloedsuiker- en de insulinespiegel na het eten van een maaltijd (bagel of sinaasappelsap).(5) Wat is het effect van azijn op de bloedsuiker De piek is duidelijk minder hoog bij het nemen van 20 ml azijn (1,3 eetlepel) dan bij dezelfde maaltijd zonder azijn. Misschien is het ook geen toeval dat sommige traditionele gerechten, die een sterke bloedsuikerpiek zouden veroorzaken, vaak met azijn worden bereid. Bijvoorbeeld wordt de witte rijst in sushi steeds met rijstazijn klaargemaakt, welke de bloedsuikerpiek na het eten daarvan met ongeveer een 1/3 reduceert. (6) Ook kon het eten van augurken in plaats van verse komkommer de bloedsuikerpiek na het eten van wit brood met 1/3 reduceren.(7) Daarom is het ook slim om hoogglycemische voedingsmiddelen zoals rijst, witbrood en aardappelen samen met azijn te eten. Een ander goed voorbeeld is aardappelsalade. Door het afkoelen van de aardappelen daalt de glycemische index, omdat een deel van het zetmeel in de aardappelen een resistent (onverteerbaar) zetmeel wordt. Door de toevoeging van azijn kan de bloedsuikerpiek nog meer worden gereguleerd.   Misschien is het ook geen toeval dat sommige traditionele gerechten vaak met azijn worden bereid   Hoeveel azijn heb ik nodig? Het toevoegen van een eetlepel azijn bij twee maaltijden per dag (in totaal 2 EL) verbeterde in een studie niet alleen de bloedsuikerpiek na het eten van een maaltijd, maar ook de nuchter bloedsuikerpiek van personen met een hoog risico op diabetes type 2. En dat effect was zelfs sterker dan van de alom bekende medicatie metformine!(8) Ook de zogenaamde laagtermijn bloedsuiker (HbA1c) kon door het nemen van 2 EL per dag aardig gereduceerd worden. Bovendien zorgt azijn voor een beter verzadigingsgevoel en werkt daarom ondersteunend bij het afvallen.(9) Binnen 8 weken konden de bloedvetwaardes (cholesterol en triglycerides) worden verbeterd door azijn.(10) Reeds 2 EL azijn per dag zijn voldoende voor de positieve effecten op de bloedsuiker na hoogglycemische maaltijden.(11) Twee eetlepels azijn per dag (30 ml) bij een maaltijd, zo blijkt uit studies, is zonder bijwerkingen en onschadelijk.(12) Zelfs 3 EL per dag, dus bij iedere maaltijd, blijkt ook nog onschadelijk en vrij van bijwerkingen te zijn.(13) Meer dan 3 EL per dag zou je op lange termijn niet moeten nemen.   2 EL azijn per dag zijn voldoende   Niet bewezen effecten van azijn Het bloedsuikerregulerende effect van azijn is goed onderzocht, maar over andere toepassingen / wondereffecten van azijn, waarover vaak wordt gesproken, is nog onvoldoende onderzoek beschikbaar om te zeggen dat deze nuttig zijn. Bijvoorbeeld, het gebruik van azijn bij hoofdluizen op de hoofdhuid is ongevaarlijk (zolang het niet in de ogen komt) maar het werkt niet. Ook is het gebruik van azijn om verkleuringen van tanden tegen te gaan af te raden. Het is weliswaar een effectieve methode om verkleuringen weg te halen(14), alleen kan azijn ook voor demineraliseren van de tanden zorgen en is daarom ook niet aan te raden. De nadelen overtreffen hier de voordelen.(15), (16) Dus appelazijn absoluut niet puur drinken. Altijd met een rietje en verdund in water. Trouwens, dat appelazijn het bloed reinigt, wanneer je het op nuchtere maag drinkt, is ook onzin.       Weliswaar een effectieve methode alleen kan azijn ook voor demineraliseren van de tanden zorgen   Welke soort azijn kan ik uit kiezen De keuze uit verschillende soorten azijn is heel groot en iedere hoogwaardige azijn soort kan gebruikt worden. In het bijzonder moet aandacht worden besteed aan de kwaliteit, omdat alleen echte wijnazijn uit 100% wijn bestaat. Deze moet niet worden verwisseld met een goedkope wijnazijn die uit 80% alcoholazijn en 20% echte wijnazijn bestaat. Appelazijn ontstaat door appelsap te laten fermenteren. Appelazijn en wijnazijn worden meestal 1 jaar lang gefermenteerd. Gourmet-azijn, zoals balsamico azijn uit druivenmost wordt tenminste 4 of zelfs 40 jaar gefermenteerd. Door deze lange tijd van opslag krijgen de soorten azijn uitzonderlijke aroma's en zijn daarom een groot culinair highlight.   Conclusie over azijn Overdrijf het niet met azijn. 2-3 eetlepels per dag (1 EL bij iedere maaltijd) is meer dan genoeg voor het regulerende effect op de bloedsuiker. Combineer altijd een hoogglycemische maaltijd met wat appelazijn, zodat je de bloedsuiker- en insulinepiek na de maaltijd binnen de perken kunt houden. De overige wondereffecten, die vaak aan azijn worden toegeschreven, zijn (nog) niet wetenschappelijk bewezen en kunnen soms meer kwaad dan goed doen. Desde otra arista en esta…¿Bienal habanera?

LA HABANA, Cuba. – El pasado martes 16, cuatro días después de la inauguración oficial de esta llevada y traída cita —que es ya trienal o cuatrienal hasta que se extinga según soplen vientos censores, y para nada “capitalina” luego de diseminarse con propósitos no muy claros por cabeceras de provincia—, abrió puertas al público —en calle 8 #262 entre 11 y 13— la muestra personal de esta artista intitulada “25/50”, junto a la de su padre Juan Moreira y la esposa Alicia Leal en el Estudio-Galería que ostenta ambos nombres.

Un recorrido por la creación conjunta como colofón de años de incorporaciones particulares de un lenguaje gráfico —no común, pero— distintivo de reconocidos apellidos invitan a entrar.

A punto de arribar a sus 50 años de vida y el primer cuarto de siglo como artista visual, Cirenaica Moreira Díaz, actriz y fotógrafa natural de La Habana, ha preferido acogerse a una de las variantes que esta XIII Bienal de la Habana reserva a quienes el Consejo Curatorial del Centro de Desarrollo de las Artes Visuales, entidad encargado de todos los eventos colaterales —incluidos los Open Studio, que es en los que clasifica ella bajo la dirección de  Ernesto Joel, y también del Centro Wilfredo Lam, que se ocupa de los invitados oficiales tanto cubanos como extranjeros—, incluyen a quien consiguió ser “aprobado como expositor” (entre auto propuestos y los aún forcejeando con proyectos presentados “a destiempo” al CNAP—), fueron consideraciones vertidas por Jorge Alfonso García (Chicho), director ejecutivo de este encuentro en la Mesa Redonda de la TVC.

Bajo el inquietante lema “La construcción de lo posible”, la nueva edición, dedicada a los 500 años de la endeble capital cubana, cubrirá el lapso entre el 12 de abril y 12 de mayo, y tuvo su momento inaugural el pasado 10 del corriente en el mencionado Centro Lam.

En voz de Norma Rodríguez Derivet, presidenta del Consejo Nacional que “atiende también otras expresiones de tan polémico ramo” (contestatario, por añadidura), supimos que la otrora estática Bienal se descentraría esta vez, al ofrecer espacios de participación a provincias como Cienfuegos —que celebra bicentenario fundacional—, Matanzas y Pinar del Río, además de Camagüey, conteniendo en suma a “más de 300 expositores de dentro y fuera” del país.

Dicho CNAP e instituciones anexas, creados un lustro después de la I Bienal de 1984, se encargan minuciosamente de expedientar, comercializar y gestionar trasiegos además del tributario con la obra de todo aquel artista académico o autodidacta que sea considerado tal, según estipulan parámetros oficiales.

La novedad este año, en que por fin se celebra la pospuesta cita correspondiente al 2018, además de extenderse allende fronteras, reside en la autorización para que segmentos diseñados para la propuesta —como la de los Moreira que evidencian vis filiar— resulten legal y permisivamente incluidos en el accionar cuales espacios propios de privados/cuentapropistas, teniendo en cuenta los encontronazos prohibitivos del pasado y ajustes con actores que sentaron, según el dictamen, “olvidable precedente”.

Aunque los Open Studio ya estaban permitidos, tal vez lo nuevo sea admitir galerías independientes como El Apartamento, que prosiguen rutas abiertas por artistas del disenso en los 90s.

Cristina Vives, exespecialista del Centro de Desarrollo de las Artes Visuales, aperturó públicamente su casa en 1994 ante la incapacidad manifiesta de los burócratas en permitirles espacios propios a los artistas descontentos con su entorno para la exhibición de obras y performances, así como de garantías en la preservación del patrimonio individual y el respeto por la innegociable libertad colectiva.

Suerte de pionera en estas lides junto al esposo, el fotógrafo Fidel Alberto Figueroa, lo de ambos devino en la creación del Estudio Figueroa-Vives que puso en la palestra lo más álgido de aquel momento de rupturas radicales con los miembros lisiados del armatoste cultural, y resignificó el reto a los inconsistentes “principios” de la casta plenipotenciaria para con subordinados.

Tales son hoy El Arsenal, o Espacio Aglutinador de Sandra Ceballos, también con 25 años, o la rada de José Bustos que se llama Avistamientos.

La directora del CNAP, un creador invitado al cónclave televisivo que informó de pormenores personales, junto a la subdirectora del enclave Margarita González Lorente y otros adjuntos, dejaron bien claro “que no se permitirá la presencia ‘descontrolada’ en esta Bienal de esos contrarrevolucionarios confesos que han posado incluso junto a Almagro, el penoso presidente de la OEA”, tras verse espoleados en sus “convicciones”  de amparados entes bajo la sombrilla gubernativa por Arleen Rodríguez Derivet, moderadora habitual de la redonda mesa, quien casualmente es pariente de aquella funcionaria.

La retrospectiva de estos 25 años que festeja Cirenaica se aprecia en piezas elegidas en función de un discurso coherente y cronológico que recorre un itinerario de búsquedas iniciado en “Ojos que te vieron ir” (1994), donde alegoriza la vigencia sempiterna de su acucioso indagar.

La musa que suele encarnar su hija Mariana Alom, a quien usó en proyectos anteriores como “Las Flores del Mal” (2015), me recuerda siempre la interdependencia más alucinante en el éxtasis de la contemplación, natural en las piezas de Dalí y su amada Gala.

La serie protagónica comenzada a interactuar en 2017 en forma de work-in-progress nombrada “Últimas Fotos de Mamá Desnuda”, cuyo título pertenece al libro homónimo de Ernesto Pérez Chang (Ed. Unión-2012), constituye atractivo primordial en esta variopinta exposición.

En tan inquietante resumen de destrezas vertidas sobre fotografías impresas en dimensiones comparables a proyectos precedentes —remarcando cierta escisión conceptual y crecida madurez substancial— se mezclan los más finos aires de solidez creativa.

Palabras de la autora, justamente hoy auto homenajeada y escasamente parca frente al ingente trabajo desplegado, dictan: “…del libro de Chang me apropio de la estética del tradicional álbum de fotos de familia, para desde allí (con semejante equipaje, añado yo), explayarme…”

Y por supuesto que lo consigue.

autoflower zaden

Je schakelt pas over op een speciale bloeilamp - of bij leds de bloeistand - indien je wietplanten ook echt gaan bloeien. Charlotte's Angel is een sativa dominante wietsoort met beslist zeer hoog CBD percentage en een laag THC percentage. Echter zou er aangaande iedere soort het percentage % hoofdbestandelen THC, CBD en CBN vermeld beheersen worden, waaraan een ieder kan afleiden waar u betreffende soort het maximaal geschikt voor is als medicinaal gebruik. Hierdoor weet je deze het relatief veilig zijn om je toppen te gebruiken, nadat je plant gevoed hebt met dergelijke voeding. K2: Bekende nederwietsoort, populair in Nederland en België, wordt vooral gebruikt voor massaproducties. Het grote verschil: in hennepolie en CBD-olie zit (bijna) geen THC. Die wietzaden zijn erg acceptabel te verbouwen in hydroponics- en soortgelijke systemen. Het helpt vanwege bepaalde plantenziekten en voedingstekorten te voorkomen, maakt beslist goede groeisnelheid mogelijk en het verhoogt zelfs de hoeveelheid aanwezige hars op je wiet. Daarginds zijn veel goede hennepzaadoliën op de markt. Bij buitenshuis wiet kweken is de, zeker als de planten nog klein zijn, prettig als ze gedurende de nacht veilig zijn. Autoflower wiet zaden zijn moeiteloos bloeiende wietplanten. Het betekend dat je bij de ontkiemen van de zaden meer zaden moet toestaan ontkiemen om genoeg vrouwelijke planten over te behouden. Het bedrijf Elev8 Seeds heeft een ander CBD-rijke haze geteeld: Harlequin Haze. Je moet vijf factoren goed tussen controle hebben; licht, verse aanvoer van lucht, temperatuur, water en luchtvochtigheid. Hierdoor produceren de vrouwelijke planten wietzaadjes in plaats van wiet. Ons winkelpersoneel is gespecialiseerd op het terein van smartproducten zoals Vaporizers, toebehoren en CBD-producten Tevens hebben we ruime inzicht van het overige aanbod smartproducten. De complete kweektenten zijn er in verscheidene maten, zo kun jou de tent precies afstellen op de ruimte dat je wilt gebruiken. De beginsel van de producten zijn de volledig biologisch gecertificeerde vezelhennep planten die boven eigen beheer in Burgenland Oostenrijk verbouwd worden. Complete controle over het milieu in uw kweekruimte is hier essentieel. De Dutch Charlottes Web is een mooie geaardheid, maar kent een enige verschillende fenotypen, waaronder beslist mooi paars gekleurd exemplaar maar ook planten met THC. Daarom werd het gebruikt door lieden die last hebben betreffende. Gebruik hennepzaad en hennepolie bij voorkeur koud. Het precies goed krijgen van je aardemix kan het verschil maken onder matige wiet en geweldige wiet. De voorzichtige cannabis kweker heeft een goede pH-meter enigszins deel uitmaakt van een uitgebreide groei kit. De enige interessante eigenschap van de ruderalis is dat hij, in tegenstelling tot de alom bekende indica en sativa, bloeit ongeacht het reeks daguren. Cannabis zal echt goed gaan veggen indien er meer dan 12 uur zonlicht per dageraad is. Hoe verderaf jouw zit van de evenaar hoe korter de veg-tijd is voordat je cannabis zal gaan bloeien.

Verwarring alom gisteren. Wat was er gebeurd? De verse Everyday van zondag stond niet in de app - en mijn Annemarie verscheen niet in de dienst. Ik wel. Alle trouwe lezers van de Everyday meldden zich om te checken of ons nieuwe kindje zich had aangediend - en mij van het schrijven van een Everyday heeft afgehouden. 

Nee, was ’t antwoord. zelfs op het moment dat ik dit schrijf, is het nog allemaal rustig in ons huis. Het niet-verschijnen? Gewoon een technisch hikje. Geen nieuws dus. 

Het tegenovergestelde gold voor de dienst in Amersfoort. De gemeente werd door aanbidding en onderwijs meegenomen in… inderdaad grote verwachting van een grote God (zie de zondagse blog). Hij is Redder, Genezer, de Gezondheid zelf. Dat is goed nieuws voor de wereld. 

Die boodschap kan soms ongemakkelijk voelen of zelfs zeer doen - wanneer je in je leven moeite, ziekte en verdriet ziet. Ik citeer even een briljante regel van mijn collega pastor Constantijn: We preken niet wat we zien, we preken Wie we zien- zodat wat we zien, gaat lijken op Wie we zien. 

Dat werkt zo: door te focussen op wie Jezus is, ons bewustzijn te vullen met Zijn identiteit en Zijn waarheid, gaat onze ziel, ons gevoel, ons lichaam zich voegen naar wie Hij is. Ongelofelijk? Hooguit ongewoon geworden, maar dat gaat veranderen! 

Uit Brisbane, Australië komt een leidersechtpaar dat deze overtuiging heeft zien groeien tot een internationale bediening. Onder de naam The Normal Christian Life laten ze zien, hoe de bovennatuurlijke kracht van God in ons leven werkt. Hoe? “Gewoon, omdat we kinderen van God zijn en in een intieme relatie met Hem mogen leven,” vertellen ze op hun website: “zo wandelen we in Zijn bovennatuurlijke kracht.” 

Een week vol van dat normale Christelijke leven begint met relatie: een diep besef van hoeveel Vader van jou houdt!
