I love how TK said that Carlos eats like 6 times a day but fails to acknowledge that he also eats all those 6 times bc they are constantly sitting down to eat/snack together in all these domestic scenes and i just love that they spend all of the time off together at home.

Those domestic scenes are everything and I love every single one of them.

I don’t know if anyone has already asked this, but do you think TK knows he’s named after Owen’s brother?

No one has asked this, but I’m almost certain he doesn’t know. Owen doesn’t strike me as the kind of person to share that kind of information. His defense for not asking TK to go with him was that “there was no need to traumatize a third generation,” and seeing as how he didn’t even tell TK that he went to California, I doubt the subject of his dead brother every came up.

I'm impressed with this episode addressing everything we complain about owen reckless heroic actions/ the distance with Tk/ abandoning 126 and Gwen9/11 thinking they better off without him like his father did/ even uprooting him and TK to Austin to start again like his mother did with him in NY. The writers tied owen story in a really good and impressive writing.

I’ve been saying all season (or since mid last season even) that everything they’ve been doing with Owen has to have a purpose. That they had to be going somewhere with it. And boy, did they ever. And when we (finally) got there, it was worth it.

There are so many parallels and so many things to unpack and I am so grateful that we got all of it. Not to mention that the flashback scenes were just technically well done too! I have so much to say about this episode and I would say it here, but I accidentally started a fic this morning and I’m already 1.5k in, so I guess I’ll say it there.

Idk if Owen telling his father about TK (and his namesake) was necessary, honestly. Their final meeting wasn't about them reconnecting or about Owen letting his father back into his life, it was about two people saying what needed to be said before it was too late. Just clearing the air, nothing more, nothing less. Chances are that Owen's dad already knew about TK, anyway, if he had been keeping tabs on him over the years. Idk I think it was kind of fitting that a line about TK wasn't in there. Everything wasn't tied up in a neat little bow. They were still basically strangers, Owen still didn't know if he could forgive his dad, but maybe he could leave knowing that his dad didn't blame him and take some steps toward forgiving himself. That was all that was left to say between them, in the end.

I agree with all this, it I think it could have been a nice way to tie them together. A connection they can still share after everything. A way for Owen to say “I’ve never forgotten either” and a way to show that he didn’t completely erase his own past. Kind of an olive branch, in a way. It wasn’t necessary you’re right, but I think it would have been a good ending to that conversation.

I know we didn’t even see half a minute in total of carlos in that scene with Tk but he was still such a sweetheart 🥹🥹🥹 (the way he was nodding before he answered Tk out loud was so cute too)

He was in such a hurry to say that yes, Owen was being weird 😂

But yes! That scene with the two of them was adorable all around. It was really heartfelt, followed by a bit of lighthearted humor. I loved it
