FRONT YARD UPDATE: 9/28/2023
Chard in one of the circular pots
Row1 = a pumpkin plant, bush beans and sunflowers
Row 2= Lettuce but no sprouts yet
Row 3 = empty for the time being
Row 4 = carrots and radishes
Close up of the radish's that have sprouted
Close up of the pumpkin w/trellis that's just been added
And a close up of the beans, these where transplanted in.
And my pequin pepper has survived another brutal summer!!

“The Wanderer” ended with a major synchronicity
It was confirmed back to us that 1.5 years from now, we’ll be living the untethered, nomadic life of our dreams
9/28/2023
The Wanderer is a show created by TripAdvisor where they select random individuals to go travel purely by recommendations in live time or through trip advisor’s recommendations. These people weren’t even influencers – just regular folk like us.
It was a really lovely show that felt so inspiring for us because it showed us more of the life we are going to live as nomads.
At the end of the last episode, though, was a voiceover from the traveling couple. They had already sold all their stuff and committed to becoming nomads, and this trip was a part of their journey.
In her voiceover, she said something to the effect of “and 1.5 years later, we’re now living as nomads.”
It brought me to tears to see this reflected back as a powerful confirmation of our desired future.

A Disappointing Dud!? | Monday, 10.09.2023
Can you believe this!? Game Informer officially called Super Bomberman R 2 "a disappointing dud"!
Here's the final verdict: "Super Bomberman R 2’s best parts are the ones carried over from older games in the series. Messing around with friends in local and online matches is still fun, and if that's all you're interested in, it's a fine enough experience. Unfortunately, that’s a small portion of the game, making it hard to recommend."
Scored a 5.75 out of 10.

"I know– I feel you've been asked this a lot, but what happened?" Jimmy asks quietly.
He's gentle as he preens Pearl, fledgling feathers recently growing along her shoulders, back, even a few on her neck. Those hands, now uncharacteristically sprouting talons, only go so far as they release small feather after small feather.
"Is it a curse or–"
"I don't think so." She answers quickly. "It happened during Hermitcraft, sometime at the beginning of this season and before Empires."
Pearl can't help but notice how sharp his talons are. They don't fit him well, not even when he's on red. Part of her is glad it's only the beginning of this season, both on green without any reds or yellows to worry about.
"But how did it– sorry, I'm being invasive."
On instinct, her fledgling feathers puff out. She wants to talk, she wants to tell everything and pour her heart out. But she doesn't know why.
"It's okay. I wouldn't mind telling you." Pearl lifts her head from her knees, turning to look at Jimmy. "Do you know any legends… about angels and how they're made…?"
He shakes his head. "My family rarely spoke of any gods when I was growing up. The only thing I know about is angels and that's all from Skizz."
The other angel, a born angel, had become a mentor of sorts. Telling what it might be like, that she'd experience pain and– well, she had at least one encounter with the other things by now…
"Did he ever tell you about something called ascension?"
She, not for the first time this evening, questions why she had gone to Jimmy for this.
Why did she choose him over Mumbo or Bdubs? Why did her instincts scream for him? For Skizz? For Grian?
Jimmy, again, shakes his head. "Maybe in passing, but no."
"It's the process of when a normal player becomes an angel or a god. It's supposed to be rare, only gods can choose who and when someone becomes an angel, but something happened–"
"It was Sausage's god, wasn't it?"
Despite herself, she nods.
"Doc and X both said it might be something with incorrect code. Skizz said that sometimes belief is strong enough that it can warp someone."
Jimmy sits quiet for a minute, what few of his feathers that were exposed flexed before he managed to get them to lie down again.
"So it is a curse…"
Just as reluctant as before, she nods.
He wraps an arm around her, bringing her close to him silently.
It feels wrong. It feels out of place. She knows him and he knows her in return.
They're not like this. Not quiet, shy, and anxious… and yet here…
She understands now why she wanted to see Jimmy. Why she wanted to talk to him. He's the only other person in this server that understood curses in the way she did now.
Maybe they aren't allies. Maybe they will never be. But maybe, with talons that don't fit, with feathers that shouldn't be there, with the looming fear of growing wings from a spine not made for them. Maybe he was what she needed in that moment.
