Can be used in the context of evil spirits in demons (contains the character for demon, 鬼) but with context it's to charm/entrance [the audience] A word that depends on context, but since with Rui’s character I’d say it’s charm/entrance.
Leo/Need
Hoshino Ichika 未来
Future. Fun kanji fact: 未 means “not yet”, 未 means “come”, so the future is what has yet to come

SR-71 crew chief explains why the Blackbird never stopped to leak fuel and why SR-71s on public display are still weeping JP-7 today
A problem of flying at Mach 3+ was that at the time when the SR-71 was devised no sealant would withstand the extreme heat that an airplane cruising at that speed would make. Hence the Blackbird leaked fuel.
SR-71 T-Shirts
CLICK HERE to see The Aviation Geek Club contributor Linda Sheffield’s T-shirt designs! Linda has a personal relationship with the SR-71 because her father Butch Sheffield flew the Blackbird from test flight in 1965 until 1973. Butch’s Granddaughter’s Lisa Burroughs and Susan Miller are graphic designers. They designed most of the merchandise that is for sale on Threadless. A percentage of the profits go to Flight Test Museum at Edwards Air Force Base. This nonprofit charity is personal to the Sheffield family because they are raising money to house SR-71, #955. This was the first Blackbird that Butch Sheffield flew on Oct. 4, 1965.
In the 1960’s, the US Air Force (USAF) developed the SR-71 Blackbird, a plane that could travel more than 3 times as fast as the sound produced by its own engines.
Throughout its nearly 24-year career, the SR-71 spy plane remained the world’s fastest and highest-flying operational aircraft. Flying at Mach 3+ from 80,000 feet, it could survey 100,000 square miles of Earth’s surface per hour. And in the off chance an enemy tried to shoot it down with a missile, all the Blackbird had to do was speed up and outrun it.
Its engineering was so cutting edge that even the tools to build the SR-71 needed to be designed from scratch.
In fact, given that the Blackbird became so hot because it cruised at a speed of Mach 3.2 conventional jet fuel could not be used in it. A jet fuel with a high flash point, and high thermal stability was required. To satisfy this requirement Shell produced a special blend of fuel called JP-7 which has a high flashpoint to prevent it from being ignited by the heat of the airframe.
Another problem of flying at Mach 3+ was that at the time when the SR-71 was devised no sealant would withstand the extreme heat that an airplane cruising at that speed would make.

Fuel leakages can be seen under this SR-71 Blackbird.
Hence the Blackbird leaked fuel.
Everyone talks about how the SR-71 leaks fuel. They often snicker about it like they’re insinuating that the Blackbird was flawed in a significant way. But, as we have just explained, this is not true.
I asked Master Sgt. Floyd Jones (ret.) who worked on the Blackbird for nearly 20 years (according to Air Zoo, Jones entered the USAF in 1966. Assigned to Beale AFB in 1967, Jones became an SR-71 Crew Chief/Phase Inspector. After international assignments, he returned to Beale in 1980 where he became an SR-71 Inspection Dock Chief. Later, Jones worked with SR-71 flight testing and scheduled an SR-71 aircraft wash at Beale) if the Blackbird continued to leak fuel, even when it was flying. Here’s his answer.
‘During the PDM [Phase Depot Maintenance], over 10,000 man-hours were expended for fuel tank repair. When the SR was turned over to the Air Force the fuel leaks were mostly fixed. But after flying at speed, the leaks started to return.
‘You need to understand what constitutes a fuel tank on the SR-71.

This print is available in multiple sizes from AircraftProfilePrints.com – CLICK HERE TO GET YOURS. SR-71A Blackbird 61-7972 “Skunkworks”
‘It starts with an aircraft structure that is sealed with a polymer sealant on all edges and seems.
‘After flying at speed and altitude, the sealant starts to crack, thus creating a leak. Since we couldn’t find a sealant that could withstand the extreme temperature changes a plus 500 degrees to a minus 30.’
Jones concludes;
‘So yes, the SR-71 would continue to leak under all conditions. It never stopped even today 30 years after they were put on public display. They are weeping JP-7 fuel.’

To continue the topic of Kaito and Akiho's age gap, sometimes I wonder whether the fandom would be less harsh on him and more accepting of this potential relationship if Kaito is only a few years older. He could be in the 3rd grade of middle school and enroll in Tomoeda middle school, or he could be a HS student enrolling in Seijo high school. Either way, we would see him in school uniform and people would not mistake him as an adult in his 30s. He could still work as her butler, making up reasons such as he is saving money for college and his father is the butler of Akiho's family in England.
However, their age gap is actually crucial to the story, because Kaito needs to be older enough to meet and talk with Lilie before Akiho was born. Kaito was a small child when he met Lilie (he looked around 6 years old in that flashback chapter?), so the age gap is already the minimum to make the story works.
My dear friend, I know. I perfectly know that, if their age gap was reduced to 2/3 years maybe they would've received less backlash and side-eye from the western fandom (I always need to specify this because the JP fans are always pretty relaxed, since it's a trope and it's even depicted in the most respectful way possible). Or maybe not. Akiho and Kaito's age gap for some is just an excuse to hate on them for the most varied reasons (like, they wished one of them was crushing on someone else, or they wished they weren't introduced in the story at all), so even without it, they'd still receive their amount of criticism. The mere fact that Kaito is taking care of Akiho (which, if you think about it, in this story literally means to help her surviving, since the bastards basically sent her away alone, and she didn't know how to cook, clean or taking care of those things, as opposed to Syaoran for example) would still be enough for people to consider him on par with a familiar figure for her, like a brother, and so their eventual relationship would still be frowned upon (no matter if none of the two characters show signs that they consider themselves as siblings).
But as you said, their age gap is truly functional to the story. I try to imagine this story with them having a smaller age gap and somehow it doesn't make much sense to me. Like, having a guy only 2/3 years older than Akiho working for her as a butler doesn't convince me, it's like having a kid working for another kid. I don't find it would make much sense, to me. Also, as you said, Kaito needed to be older enough in order to meet Lilie at an age when he would remember what she told him and would've had enough of an impact on him to push him to raise that hand and say "I'll go" some years later. I also think that Kaito was 5/6 years old back then, and Lilie was about to marry her love, so it wouldn't be long before Akiho herself was born (I remember a phrasing in the JP text of chapter 61, while Akiho was recounting the story of her parents, that put the doubt on me about whether Lilie was already pregnant with Akiho when she got married - but it's just a feeling I had from a present tense of a verb).
And then, come on, we know CLAMP love their couples with a difference in age, this is the typical case of "CLAMP being CLAMP", take it or leave it. In this story, the age gap is functional. But that's also why AUs fanfictions are out there to be experimented with, and I invite anyone to write one if they feel uncomfortable about the canon gap, I'd happily read it! 😂 As long as the souls are always the same and IC, and the story makes sense, I'm sure I'd love it all the same.

Australia economy results in terms of trade, farming and foreign commerce
Australia's trade surplus reached near-record levels at the end of 2016, with nett exports projected to contribute 1.1 percentage points to the December-quarter national accounts. In the final three months of 2017, the trade surplus reached $40.9 billion due to an increase in exports and a general reduction in imports.
Australia Terms of Trade
The Australian Bureau of Statistics reported that the terms of trade – the ratio of export prices to import prices – increased by 0.6% in December and remained around record highs due to rising commodity prices.
The statistics supported a rise of $13.4 billion in Australia's current account surplus, which is the difference between the trade surplus and the amount of nett income remitted abroad. In December, the current account surplus was $14.1 billion, which was below the record levels recorded in late 2021 but strong in historical context.
Foreign Commerce
Foreign commerce is anticipated to contribute 1.1 percentage points to the December quarter GDP growth estimates, which will be reported on Wednesday, due to a 1.1% increase in export volumes and a 4.3% drop in import volumes.
The statistics were consistent with the majority of experts' estimates, with forecasters predicting quarterly GDP growth of 0.7% in December, which would result in the annual pace decreasing from 5.9% to 2.7%.
With the announcement of the trade numbers, NAB lowered its quarterly GDP projection to 0.6%, while ANZ raised its estimate to 1.0%.
Students return
The increase in exports was supported by a 20% increase in the export value of travel services, as more overseas students returned to Australia following their exclusion during the first two years of the epidemic.
Despite a decrease of 0.5% in the number of exports, commodity price increases contributed to a 1.9% increase in the export value of products. The value of iron ore sales increased by 6.8%, while metal exports increased by 16.6%.
Public Demand
Public demand grew by 0.4%, indicating a small contribution of 0.1% to GDP growth from government expenditure. In terms of the forecast for interest rates, the national accounts measurements of wages and inflation will be the most significant aspect of Wednesday's publication, according to ANZ senior economist Felicity Emcity.
"Taking into consideration government salaries from today's public finance data, we anticipate the RBA's prefered measure of wider labour costs – non-farm average hourly earnings – to have increased by a moderate 0.6% quarter-on-quarter in the December quarter," she added.
Australian Economy Slowdown Forecast
Analysts and the RBA anticipate a slowdown in the economy this year due to the impact of rising interest rates on consumer expenditure.
After a dramatic 4 percent decline in December, retail consumption increased by 1.9% in January.
Tom Kennedy, an economist at JP Morgan, opined that the December decline was implausibly huge due to probable seasonal adjustment concerns."In this context, the January improvement should also be taken with a grain of salt, and it is probable that month-to-month volatility will remain elevated in subsequent readings," he added.
In light of this, increasing interest rates and declining asset values (i.e. housing) are clear headwinds for consumption, hence a slowdown in retail expenditure relative to the average of the first half of 2022 is anticipated.
Australian farming
Australia is a major agricultural producer and exporter, employing over 325,300 people in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries as of February 2015. Agriculture and its closely connected sectors make $155 billion every year, accounting for 12% of GDP. Farmers and grazers hold 135,997 farms, accounting for 61% of Australia's total land area. GDP from Agriculture in Australia decreased to 14364 AUD Million in the fourth quarter of 2022 from 14742 AUD Million in the third quarter of 2022. Australia's agriculture industry receives extremely little government support in comparison to the 37 member nations of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and other major developing agricultural producers (Greenville 2020). Between 2018 and 2020, the average amount of support (as a proportion of gross farm income) for all nations was 15.1%, with Australia receiving only 2.5%.
Although being primarily desert, farming is an important industry in Australia and farmers need access to finance and loans to ensure their business remains profitable. For those looking to finance their farming and agricultural businesses, Orchard Lending can provide the necessary assistance. We offer farm finance loans Australia wide, including loans for farm properties, agricultural equipment, and other types of agricultural finance.

Producing JP-7, the fuel that powered the SR-71 Blackbird, caused a nationwide shortage of bug spray. Here’s why.
The SR-71 Blackbird
In the 1960’s, the US Air Force (USAF) developed the SR-71 Blackbird, a plane that could travel more than 3 times as fast as the sound produced by its own engines.
SR-71 T-Shirts
Tumblr media
JP-7, the SR-71 Blackbird fuel
In fact, given that the Blackbird became so hot because it cruised at a speed of Mach 3.2 conventional jet fuel could not be used in it. A jet fuel with a high flash point, and high thermal stability was required. To satisfy this requirement Shell produced a special blend of fuel called JP-7.
Specifically, JP-7 fuel (referred to as Jet Propellant 7 prior to MIL-DTL-38219) was developed for the Blackbird’s Pratt & Whitney J58 (JT11D-20) turbojet engine. During flight, the SR-71 could attain speeds in excess of Mach 3+, which was the most efficient cruising speed for the J58 engines. However, very high skin temperatures were generated at this speed due to friction with the air. A new jet fuel was needed that was not affected by the heat, so JP-7 jet fuel, with a high flash point and high thermal stability, was developed for this purpose.
JP-7 fuel production caused a nationwide shortage of bug spray
According to the SR-71A Flight Manual, “The operating envelope of the [J58] JT11D-20 engine requires special fuel. The fuel is not only the source of energy but is also used in the engine hydraulic system. During high Mach flight, the fuel is also a heat sink for the various aircraft and engine accessories which would otherwise overheat at the high temperatures encountered. This requires a fuel having high thermal stability so that it will not break down and deposit coke and varnishes in the fuel system passages. A high luminometer number (brightness of flame index) is required to minimize transfer of heat to the burner parts. Other items are also significant, such as the amount of sulfur impurities tolerated. Advanced fuels, JP-7 (PWA 535) and PWA 523E, were developed to meet the above requirements.”
Producing JP-7, the fuel that powered the SR-71 Blackbird, caused a nationwide shortage of bug spray. Here’s why.

Flit mosquito repellant
Noteworthy, JP-7 production caused a nationwide shortage of bug spray.
Shell Oil developed JP-7 in 1955. Manufacturing several hundred thousand gallons of the new fuel required the petroleum byproducts Shell normally used to make its Flit insecticide, causing a nationwide shortage of that product!
One of the ingredients in JP-7 just so happened to be a crucial part of Flit mosquito repellant. Bearing in mind the huge amount of fuel we’re talking about here, Shell didn’t exactly have enough supply to meet the newly increased demand, so mosquitos everywhere caught a lucky break!
JP-7 had a high flashpoint. It was not flammable and every time an SR-71 needed fuel, tankers were always there, they were terrific and deserve high praise.
SR-71 Blackbird JP-7 fuel used by the Boeing X-51 Waverider
Today the JP-7 fuel is used by the Boeing X-51 Waverider in its Pratt & Whitney SJY61 scramjet engine, with fuel capacity of some 270 pounds (120 kg). As with the SR-71, the X-51A design super-cools this fuel (cooled by extended subsonic flight in the stratosphere; prior to acceleration to supersonic speeds); then, when in supersonic flight, the fuel is heated by its circulation through heat exchangers which transfer to it the heat load of the interior spaces of the airframe. The fuel is then pumped through rotating mechanical parts of the engines and auxiliary mechanical equipment, providing both lubrication and cooling. Finally, at a temperature of nearly 550 °F (290 °C), it is pumped into the fuel nozzles of the engines.
Be sure to check out Linda Sheffield Miller (Col Richard (Butch) Sheffield’s daughter, Col. Sheffield was an SR-71 Reconnaissance Systems Officer) Twitter X Page Habubrats SR-71 and Facebook Page Born into the Wilde Blue Yonder for awesome Blackbird’s photos and stories.

Thank you for your participation! These are the final results for the 4th Hypnosis Microphone International Poll. After months of work on this, we have estimates for general fandom opinions. Do you agree or disagree with the general opinions? Please let us know!
The results were held back from original posting as we were waiting to post for a month before the 2nd DRB finals (which is on Doppo’s Birthday this year.) So my deepest apologies for how long this took to get out. We will be releasing these results with a section per day, with the end of these results showing the Japanese side.
Click the READ MORE to view the results.
PREFACE
The data collection for this poll received 902 votes to give us an indication of the demographic of those who consume Hypnosis Mic. This poll was open to English speakers, and thus, results may be considerably Euro/American-centric. The word ‘international’ has been used to refer to how fans are from many places around the world, but the poll may also refer to this group as ‘English-speaking’ etc. The Japanese poll had a smaller respondent pool with 400.
This poll received the most activity through Twitter, given that the series is most active on that platform. The poll was also posted on Tumblr, Facebook and the HypMic wiki. Commentary has been given on sections of the poll. These results will be available in full on from this account. The Japanese poll results shall follow about a week with comparison to this poll. The poll was conducted from December 2020 to January 2021. This poll is UNOFFICIAL and none of the composers of this poll have any relation to King Records whatsoever.
This will be split into MULTIPLE posts due to the amount of data and limitations of tumblr.
PART 7: Japanese Consumption Comparison
This section compares the percentage of HypMic’s English fanbase against the Japanese fanbase in how they consume certain media.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Before the project began - Sep 2017: INTL: 3.7% | JP: 2.5%
Since Pre-Battle Season 1 - Oct 2017 - Feb 2018: INTL: 7% | JP 9.5%
Since Battle Season 1 - Mar 2018 - Dec 2018: INTL: 19.4% | JP: 28%
Since Post-Battle Season 1 - Jan 2019 - Nov 2019: INTL: 29.6% | JP: 36.8%
Since Pre-Battle Season 2 - Dec 2019 - Dec 2020: INTL: 40.3% | JP: 23%
NOTABLE DATES
Release of Enter the Hypnosis Microphone: April 2019
Announcement of Dotsuitare Honpo & Bad Ass Temple: September 2019
Announcement of the start of the 2nd DRB: December 2020
From this group of people, only 264 people, or 66%% of respondents were around during the 1st Battle Season.
Looking at those who were around during the battle season (70%) did not vote at all, while (30%) did vote.
To compare, 293 out of 902 International respondents were around during the 1st Battle Season. 88.4% did not vote at all, while 11.6% did vote.
At the time of the 1st DRB, voting was only possible by buying CDs and certain merchandise, unlike the additions of the 2nd DRB where you could purchase a ticket to the lives. Additionally, it is much easier for JP fans to buy the CDs as HypMic is from Japan.

Have not listened to the dramas: INTL: 2.1% | JP: N/A
OBSERVATIONS
As not everyone knows that most dramatracks are readily available on the wiki and finding translations themselves are difficult, it is inevitable that INTL viewership is significantly lower than JP viewership.
All JP respondents have listened to at least one dramatrack. Given that only 2.1% of INTL respondents have not listened to at least one dramatrack, it may be possible that those who have not listened to the dramatracks are in a very small minority.
INTL fans seemed to not have been as interested in DH and BAT’s introduction tracks, while JP fans showed similar numbers for DH and BAT’s introductions to the Main 4 Divisions introductions.
The least listened to tracks that are not considered bonuses (Guidebook + Manga) are:
International: All in the Same Boat (60.9%), Chaser from the Past (60.9%), Enter the Hypnosis Microphone Dramas (61%), Helter Skelter (61%), and The Heart’s Conviction Can’t Be Broken (62.6%)
Japanese: Enter the Hypnosis Microphone Dramas (74.3%), The Champion (78%), Helter Skelter (78.8%), Chaser from the Past (78.8%), and The Loneliness... of a Puppet (80.3%)

At the time of the poll, BB vs MTC, FP vs M and the TDD manga had completed, while DH vs BAT was incomplete. BB vs MTC +, FP vs M+ and Dawn of Divisions were announced during the poll’s conduction.
OBSERVATIONS
This is the one of the few categories where International HypMic fans consume content more than Japanese HypMic fans.
How much of other HypMic of other HypMic content have you explored?

HPNM Youtube: INTL: 63.7% | JP: 58%
HypMic concerts: INTL: 71.8% | JP: 53.5%
NOTES:
This question also asked about those who have watched the anime, but as respondents ticked multiple options of how much they had seen, these results were unable to be posted. The same happened with the question on Spotify Radio episodes.
Track 2 & Track 3 were playing during COVID which may account for the lower numbers of viewers. Niconama streams have also been discontinued and have now been replaced by the HPNM Youtube streams.
This is the one of the few categories where International HypMic fans consume content more than Japanese HypMic fans.
What HypMic official merchandise have you bought? This does not include magazines that contain manga chapters or interviews.

Least bought goods: Items from food collabs (22%), stageplay specific goods (29.8%), and accessories and cosmetics (29.8%)

How familiar are you with Japanese hip-hop, the genre of HypMic?
Regularly listens to J hip-hop: INTL: 22.88% | JP: 54.3%
Regularly listens to Western hip-hop but not J hip-hop: INTL: 12% | JP: 5.5%
Regularly listens to Japanese music but not J hip-hop: INTL: 54.5% | JP: 32%
Do not listen to Japanese music or hip-hop: INTL: 10.7% | JP: 8.3%
With numbers, we can see that:
34.8% of International respondents listen to either Japanese or Western hip-hop. 65.2% of International respondents do not listen to hip-hop.
These numbers seem to match up with the later results that show that 79% of respondents to not listen to J hip-hop artists outside of HypMic and 69% of respondents do not listen to/could list Western hip-hop artists at all.
59.7% of Japanese respondents listen to either Japanese or Western hip-hop. 40.3% of Japanese respondents do not listen to hip-hop.
From these results, we can see that there is most likely accounts of piracy due to the high numbers of International fans that have seen the stage play or read the manga in comparison to Japanese fans.

Land of Gagaku Event
Tumblr media
Yet another long "tower" type event that coincides with Kinnara's release. The event format doesn't share many similarities to other events, but the actual activities are like most multiple stage/boss clearing events that have happened this year. Consists of 3 major parts; Sonata, Recalling Voices and Night Aratama boss. During this event, Kinnara will have a buff for damage dealt and damage reduction.
Sonata
Upon starting this part of the event, you must select 1 of the 4 chapters and 1 of 3 musical instruments but can change them at any time. At first only chapter 1 will be unlocked, the rest will be gradually unlocked. Each chapter has 3 instruments that provide buffs, the buffs can be viewed in one of the below sections.
When the server collects certain amounts of sheet music, rewards for the entire server will be unlocked. Sheet music is obtained by defeating bosses or by purchasing with jade. Buying sheet music can reward you with items like event AP, event currency, blue summon tickets, black daruma shards, gold, etc.
To fight a boss you must pick 1 of 5 "notes" on the music bar, which one you pick will not affect the difficulty or your rewards. However, if you pick 1 of the 3 "notes" with a ball of light in the same column as it, a bar next to the button used to switch difficulties will slowly fill up. When the bar is filled up, you won't have to fight a boss plus you'll get event currency and sheet music. Costs 6 event AP to challenge bosses (solo only), may cost more if you need multiple attempts. Cannot switch difficulty after picking a "note". Can be done on auto.
Sonata will not be accessible on the last day of the event. So please make sure you have maxed out the "Ray of Hope" stat boosts and has unlocked the bonus effects before then.
Ray of Hope
"Rays of Hope” are really important for Sonata and the Night Aratama boss. They are obtained by defeating bosses in Sonata. There are stat boosts and bonus effects for having certain amounts of them, which are listed below.
Stat boosts:
Gain +2% ATK and +2% HP per 1 (max +80%)
After gaining 40, gain +1 SPD and +1% Crit per 1 (max +40 and +40%)
After gaining 80, gain +2% DEF and +2% Crit DMG per 1 (max +80% and +40%)
After gaining 120, gain +1 HIT +1% RES per 1 (max +40% and +40%)
Bonus Effects:
21: Gain 20% HP Steal.
41: If Crit exceeds 100% then every excess 1% is converted in Crit DMG, when dealing damage also have a 30% base chance to inflict freeze and when receiving damage the attacker's SPD is reduced by 30.
61: Can negate 1 lethal attack and recover HP by 10%, only works once per battle.
81: Damage dealt to enemies inflicted with control effects is increased by 15%.
Although it isn't mentioned ingame, the bonus effects act as additional soul effects. So when dealing damage the icons for Nightwing, Snow Spirit and House Imp will pop-up above your shiki in battle.
Musical Instruments
Chapter 1
Koto: When dealing ST (and random target) damage, also deal 60% splash damage.
Gakubiwa: Skills cost -1 onibi.
Kagurabue: Indirect damage is increased by 40%.
Chapter 2
Miko Suzu: Indirect damage is increased by 40%.
Shakuhachi: Enemy DEF is decreased by 50%.
Tsuzumi: The shiki with the highest ATK has an 80% chance to gain a new turn.
Chapter 3
Ekiro: Enemy DEF is decreased by 50%.
Shami: Crit for normal attacks is increased by 20% and if the normal attacks crit, damage is increased by 50%.
Dadaiko: Damage dealt outside of turn is increased by 50%.
Chapter 4
Shinrei: Crit for normal attacks is increased by 20% and if the normal attacks crit, damage is increased by 50%.
Doura: When dealing ST (and random target) damage, also deal 60% splash damage.
Horagai: Skills cost -1 onibi.
If you’re unfamiliar with the jp names of the listed instruments and would prefer images of them, please refer to the wiki version of this guide.
The rewards for the total accumulated sheet music collected by the entire-server are; 2 red daruma, 10 orochi scales, 5000 event currency, 2 demon parade tickets, 10000 event currency. These rewards can be unlocked for every instrument.
At the bottom of the screen for Sonata is a progress bar. When it reaches 100%, the current instrument you're using will become "cleared" and you'll get a special kekkai/realm card as a reward.
Recalling Voices
Spirit Fragments
Collect spirit fragments to unlock short sentences of story. Fragments are obtained by defeating bosses in Sonata. There are a total of 83. Only 20-21 fragments can be obtained per chapters.
Recalling the Story
Can reread the event’s daily story dialogue.
Ancient Nocturne
Can rewatch the event CG videos.
Night Aratama Boss
At top of main event page, there is a music bar with a boss icon / multiple boss icons with a timer under it. When the timer ends, the boss/es can be fought. Costs 3 AP to challenge, battles have a 3-minute timer and "Rays of Hope" are also applied here. There are 5 types of bosses, each one has its own ranking. Ranking rewards are the same for each boss.
 Opening Note (Boss)
Can be challenged within an 8-hour time period.
Has 5 difficulties.
Format is similar to vanquish or boss challenges, ie goal is to KO the boss as fast as possible.
Boss has 2 phases, has 2 skills and nuribotoke in phase 1 and gains 2 more skills in phase 2.
Summons waves of minions.
There are 1st time clear rewards for each difficulty.
There's ranking. Ranking rewards include; black daruma, white daruma, blue summon tickets, gold and event currency.
Broken Song & Hurried Music (Netherworld Gate)
Can be challenged within a 24-hour time period.
It's kind of like Netherworld Gate.
Clear up to 150 stages of bosses.
Can change teams inbetween stages.
Enemies change every 10 stages.
Which enemies can be fought per 10 stages can be viewed on the boss page.
Enemies gradually become tankier as you progress through more stages.
Total rewards for the 1st 50 stages of Broken Song are; 60000 gold, 50000 event currency, and some white daruma.
Total rewards for the 1st 50 stages of Hurried Music are; 55000 event currency, and some white daruma.
There's ranking. Ranking rewards include; black daruma, white daruma, blue summon tickets, gold and event currency.
Sound Spirit: Wish & Curse (Boss Netherworld Gate)
Becomes accessible on the last day of the event. (at 12 noon & 4PM)
It's like Broken Song and Hurried Music, but if they were server-wide and the enemies had crazy high HP.
There are 10 stages.
Enemy HP seems to be shared server-wide.
Enemies don't hit very hard.
Shares the damage rewards with The Final Note.
Night Aratama (Boss)
Becomes accessible on the last day of the event. (at 8AM)
It's a server-wide boss.
Boss has 2 phases, has 3 skills and nuribotoke in phase 1 and gains 1 more skill in phase 2.
Summons waves of minions.
Shares the damage rewards with The Final Note.
The Final Note:
Becomes accessible on the last day of the event. (at 8PM)
Can be challenged within a 2-hour time period.
Requires special event AP to challenge the boss.
When you run of special AP, you can use another's team to challenge the boss.
Format is like the Sealand Defense part of Battle of Mt Oe, ie the boss will not take any damage and endless waves of minions will be summoned.
Enemy HP is shared across the server.
Total rewards for dealing 10-100mil damage are; 160000 gold, 20 demon souls, a 2* special kekkai/realm card and 13 black daruma shards.
Recommend newbies to ignore Night Aratama and Sound Spirits and unlock the damage rewards via this instead.
Exchange Shop
The most notable items are: 2 event icon frames, ? loading screen illustrations, new Kinnara skin, random SSR/SP, random SSN (frog N shiki), black daruma, 3-4-5* white daruma, 2 blue summon tickets, orochi scales, demon souls, AP, mochi, gold, evo and soul boosts, 5 event packs, etc. The icon frames are the exact same, one is still and one is animated.
Like always, the more appealing items like the random SSR/SP and new skin are locked by a requirement. In this event the requirements are event points, however, they are not obtained as drops or rewards for doing anything. Instead, event points simply represent your total accumulated event currency.
The type of items that can be obtained from the 5 event packs are all the same, items include; gold, AP, guild feats, demon souls, orochi scales, bio affection items, evo/soul/gold/EXP boosts, daruma shards, full daruma, 3-5* white daruma, EXP souls, etc. For every pack bought you'll get 1 random 6* soul, so if you buy 20 you'll get 20 random 6* souls. The types (2-set effects) of souls obtained are determined by the pack;
"Do" Pack 1: Crit%
"Re" Pack 2: ATK%
"Mi" Pack 3: HP%
"So" Pack 4: DEF%
"La" Pack 5: HIT% and RES%
Each pack can be bought a max of 300 times. The pack names should match the names of the musical notes in Kinnara’s skill 2.
Just so it's extra clear - the types of souls obtained refers to the 2-set effects, not the main stats.
Music from the Past
The unlabeled button in the top right corner of the main event page will become accessible. Here you will be able to listen to some BGM from past events and songs from CG or recent animated memory scroll videos. Can also create a small playlist so you can listen to your favourite songs while doing the event (doesn't work in battles).
Unsure if this will be a CN only feature.
Recommended Teams
Reminder - Kinnara has a buff for damage dealt and damage reduction for this event. So if you're lucky enough to get her and have enough materials to 6* her, then please use her in the event to take advantage of the buff.
Sonata
2 AOE Multi-hit attackers + Kiyohime + Oitsuki + Enmusubi
2 Random Target attackers + Kiyohime + Oitsuki + Enmusubi
2 Random Target attackers + SP Kiyohime + Kiyohime + Enmusubi
SP Ootengu + Kinnara + Kiyohime + Aoandon + Enmusubi
Takiyasha + Ryoumen + Kiyohime + Oitsuki + Enmusubi
Ryoumen + Menreiki + Kiyohime + Oitsuki + Enmusubi
Double Shuten + Shiranui + Enmusubi + Ushi
Double Shuten + Shiranui + Enmusubi + Kiyohime
Recommended random target attackers are; SP Ootengu, SP Tamamo, Kinnara, Kisei, etc. Best combos are; double SP Ootengu, double Kinnara or 1 of both SP Ootengu and Kinnara. Recommended AOE multi-hit attackers are; Takiyasha, Ryomen, Ootengu, Ubume. If you don't have Enmusubi, the alternatives to her in this event are Ushi, Kosode or even Shoyou.
By default, Kiyo should always have snow spirit equipped even outside of events. However, after you unlock the 2nd bonus effect for "Rays of Hope", you should either swap her soul set to something else like seductress or fortune cat.
You should try using multiple teams to take full advantage of the buffs provided by the instruments. There are a couple of other teams that can be used but they require targeting, so I personally don’t recommend using them.
The Night Aratama
Boss:
SP Iba + Oitsuki + Ushi + Enmusubi + Aoandon
SP Iba + Oitsuki + Ushi + Enmusubi + Shoyou
SP Iba + Kinnara + Oitsuki + Ushi + Shoyou
Netherworld Gate:
2 AOE Multi-hit attackers + Kiyohime + Oitsuki + Enmusubi
Takiyasha + Ushi + Kiyohime + Oitsuki + Enmusubi
Ryoumen + Ushi + Kiyohime + Oitsuki + Enmusubi
Takiyasha + Kinnara + Ushi + Oitsuki + Enmusubi
Boss Netherworld Gate
2 AOE Multi-hit attackers + Kiyohime + Oitsuki + Enmusubi
The Final Note
2 AOE Multi-hit attackers + Ushi + Oitsuki + Kiyohime
Takiyasha + Kinnara + Ushi + Oitsuki + Enmusubi
For Opening Note and Night Aratama (boss), the same teams are used for it.
For Takiyasha in the Netherworld Gate type stuff, she can use the following soul sets; seductress + songstress, hyousube + tsuchigumo, house imp + tsuchigumo, tsuchigumo + gashadokuro + songstress/namazu. So use whatever set you have or works best for you.
Hurried Music is a bit easier than Broken Song, so Kiyo and her def shred aren't really needed for it.
For The Final Note, recommend newbies to use up all your special event AP and borrow another player's team. By doing this you’ll be able to quickly boost your total damage and unlock all the total damage rewards. If you can’t play when this boss is available, then fight the Sound Spirits instead.

why light’s class matters
and no, i’m not talking about light’s political science or english classes, i mean the ones we’re sorted into by how much money we or our parents make per year. buckle up
socio-economic class is three tiers: the working class, middle class, and upper class. between that, there’s also the “-collar” designations -- blue collar (manual labor), white collar (office labor), pink collar (“women’s work” typical jobs like nursing, teaching, childcare), grey collar (not white or blue collar, or sometimes post-age of retirement workers), and green collar (environmental labor, like environmental consultants).
income equity in japan is fair (nippon.com), with a Gini coefficient of .5594 in 2017. the Gini coefficient measures an amount between 0 and 1. the closer to one, the higher amount of income inequality. fairly middle of the road compared to the area between .61 and .68 in the rest of the world.
equity in japan is still there: compared to the US and UK, CEO pay is considerably less; JP firm CEOs with revenue over a trillion yen take home less than 100 million yen (715,000 pounds, or 917,838.35 USD), which is literally less than a tenth of US competitors, and less than a fifth of UK competitors.
however, according to another article from the guardian,
Japan now has some of the worst wealth inequality and highest rates of child poverty in the developed world, according to a Unicef report released in April that ranked Japan 34th out of 41 industrialised countries.
to be clear, poverty across the board is. 16%. in comparison, the poverty rate for the US and UK is 11.8% and 20%.
we don’t learn a whole lot about the sheer amount of money that soichiro (a white or grey collar worker) brings home but based on the house and that the yagamis comfortably have a stay at home mother, we can say that he’s middle class (upper middle class, imo). if the stats i got are correct, soichiro's annual salary in 2003 would be around 82,558 USD - 115,669 USD in 2020 money.
however, the motive behind crimes being committed isn’t as cut and dry as them Refusing To Be Better Than Their Circumstances or Just For Shits And Giggles; many commit crimes like petty theft of formula so their child can eat, or steal tampons because they ran out last month. children in particularly impoverished areas (read: heavily Black)* join gangs for some sense of belonging. cops will straight up fudge charges for quotas (adrian schoolcraft and the NYPD tapes) for ticketing people or plant illegal substances on detainees.
light is not only removed from the people being killed by virtue of his socioeconomic status, but because his dad is a cop. not only has he had no exposure to crime, he also sees people who commit crimes as people who are helpless to continue the cycle of shittiness they’re in.
crime is, frankly, relative. not only because laws being written are unjust (see: marital rape was completely legal in all 50 states until 1993), but because the enforcement of these laws disproportionately targets anyone who isn’t white, and especially Black, in the US. i shouldn’t even have to provide sources for this shit, it’s been news since may.
Kira is a worldwide death penalty, which i have talked ab before as being unjust and disproportionately racist in the US. but since we’re not talking ab the US and many states have a moratorium on capital punishment, let’s talk about japan.
there were no statistics i could find that were from a trustworthy source about how often the death penalty is used, but according to CNN, the most recent executions were carried out in august 2019. japan and the US are the only countries who (semi-) regularly carry out capital punishment. considering the 99% conviction rate in japan, it’s not a stretch to say that there are at least a few people who are innocent on death row.
light’s entire POV is informed by his father’s job, his environment in japan’s criminal justice system, and how sheltered he is bc of his class.  if you’re pro-Kira, not only are you seeing that POV and not realizing how fucked up it is, it implies that you don’t see incarcerated individuals as deserving of life.
* i say heavily Black because in the US, there’s this funky thing called redlining. banks would deny mortgages to BIPOC and shoehorn them into underdeveloped areas near industrial plants (google cancer alley at some point), houses with lead paint, poorly funded schools, etc; and in combination with White Flight (the term where loads of Black families move into a formerly white neighborhood and all the white people haul ass out), we end up with low income nbhds where it isn’t unusual to hear police sirens everyday
TLDR of that point, Black people are systemically poorer than white people bc of redlining and white flight, so poor areas end up being heavily policed regardless of race.
