Finally got the bottom ribbing done on the sweater I’m making for myself. Took two days. I’ve never made and adult size sweater before, just loads of baby ones, so really looking forward to get this one complete. This pattern doesn’t include pockets but since I recently discovered afterthought pockets on another project I might just be cocky enough to attempt to add them on this. If I can confidently figure out the math on where to add them, I just might do it. Yay! Meet my first finished object of 2022! I have a new hat! 🥳 #favoriteFoFriday Now I am waiting for a gaint pompom to arrive next week to give it the final touch. 🧶 I know this is a very basic hat but I love it SO much for many reasons: - It fits perfectly. (And I think I found a way to grade it to fit (almost) every head out there!) - It is folded up twice creating 3 layers of fabric to keep my ears super warm. - The combination of one strand of Holst Supersoft with one strand of silk mohair is just divine! So, I decided that I will definitely make a pattern for this one. Is this something you would be interested in? This hat already has a name, but I am not going to tell you yet. I thought it would be fun, if you could guess where my inspiration to make this hat came from and the name would probably give it away. Here is one hint: Even though I started this hat in 2022, I got the inspiration for it in December. Any ideas? 😁 I would love to hear what comes to your mind! Hello friends 👋 Not much has happend here knitting-wise since last weekend. 😊 I only worked on my hat and the 2x2 rib is just what I need right now. It is so relaxing and it really helps me to calm down in the evening. Above you can see my progress. 🙌 I am using one strand of Holst Supersoft and one strand of silk mohair. 🧶 I have not used this combination before but I am totally in love with it right now and I cannot wait to wash it to watch the yarn bloom. This hat is going to be amazing! 😍 Aside from that I have been working on the secret project that I mentioned in my stories once or twice. 😉 The pattern is in the tech editing phase right now, so I hope that the test can start at the end of this week or the beginning of next week. So if you are interested in testing a light womans sweater that is perfect for the time between spring and summer, you have the next days to think about whether you want to apply. 😁 It is worked top-down with a lovely cotton merino blend yarn on 3mm needles. Lately I am in the mood for very simple und mindless knits. So I decided to cast on another ABIES beanie in this gorgeous color that reminds me of the Mediterranean Sea! 🌊🧶 ABIES is a pattern that I published in February 2021. It features a lovely stylized fir tree cable motiv - hence the name - that is alternated with classic 2/2 cables merging into a star shape at the crown. Worked with 7mm needles this is a quick and rewarding knit.
