Last week I casted on a new project. For some time I was not quite sure, if my idea would work. But now that I made a little progress, I am confident enough to share the first picture with you. 😊 It is going to be a circular yoke summer top that is knit with a rather fine single ply silk and merino yarn called ggh Lacy. I decided to work linen stitch with 5mm needles - a needle size that would be way too big for this yarn, if I was knitting Stockinette. 🧶 The resulting fabric has a super fun texture, does not roll up at the edge and is very light and airy. I can imagine this top to be a dream to wear. Hello friends 👋 Not much has happend here knitting-wise since last weekend. 😊 I only worked on my hat and the 2x2 rib is just what I need right now. It is so relaxing and it really helps me to calm down in the evening. Above you can see my progress. 🙌 I am using one strand of Holst Supersoft and one strand of silk mohair. 🧶 I have not used this combination before but I am totally in love with it right now and I cannot wait to wash it to watch the yarn bloom. This hat is going to be amazing! 😍 Aside from that I have been working on the secret project that I mentioned in my stories once or twice. 😉 The pattern is in the tech editing phase right now, so I hope that the test can start at the end of this week or the beginning of next week. So if you are interested in testing a light womans sweater that is perfect for the time between spring and summer, you have the next days to think about whether you want to apply. 😁 It is worked top-down with a lovely cotton merino blend yarn on 3mm needles.
